Naomi may or may not know about the secret messages - it could just be that she got robbed.  She's also from a rich family, this might be a hostage thing from her perspective... but Sabrina will be fine with all of those delicious cakes.

That last part is the core of it - I am the big boss lady at work, I have to make hard decisions all day.  When I get off work, I don't want to make any choices.  I want my mommy-type to choose - I like to have the power to object, but I don't want to decide because then my enjoyment and hers are at stake... much, much better when she chooses.

i actually haven't read through that one of yours yet. the reason is split about 50/50 between your warning that it's super-dark and also your warning that it gets super-sexual in some chapters. i enjoyed reading 'it's the little choices' but that was done in a clever way where the sexuality wasn't just 'have some smut' fashion that makes me lose interest in stories. i need to get around to reading it some time.

Breaking the Girl is not dark by any means.  It's a rather sweet if unconventional love story.  It's got some light BDSM and some erotic scenes, but there is no actual sex (so far).  No worries, it's nowhere near as freaky as the scene you're thinking about in "Little Choices" (I won't say what just in case someone hasn't read it).

I write the kind of porn I like to read - and that's where things are said obliquely and some things are left to the imagination.  I doubt you'll ever get graphic porn out of me, it's just not something I enjoy myself... generally speaking.

The one you're thinking about is "Save Yourself" and that is daaaaaaark dark dark stuff.  Like, trigger warnings at the top of every chapter dark.  I haven't had to do a single trigger warning for this story yet, and I don't honestly see myself needing any for "Breaking the Girl".

No worries - I don't list my unfinished stories in my signature post-server-wipe.  "Save Yourself" will come back eventually, but I've got 2 other stories to finish first.

I'm going to be perfectly honest, it's going to be a while before we post the next chapter of this one.  There is a scene that happens in the next few chapters involving Sabrina that make me deeply uncomfortable given the current political goings-on.  When we wrote the story, these political happenings weren't a thing and this section didn't make me feel bad, but given the events of the past few days in the media, I can't in good conscience post the next chapter.

Maya has written it, I have edited it, it's ready to go.

But it makes me feel bad as a person to post it.  Maybe when reality isn't so dire.  We're going to keep writing, we're going to finish the story, but it's going to be a bit before the next chapter sees the light of day.

Is there any chance that the chapter you are uncomfortable about will be modified to make you comfortable or will that affect the storyline?

I don't think so - the story is done, the chapter is written, and the condition that makes me uncomfortable persists for a few chapters.  The story will not go away forever, KWOceans wants to see it through too

I'm just going to come right out and say it.  Sabrina, a Little, ends up in a cage in the next chapter.

To Amazons, she is a child-like creature.  We know she's an adult, but that's the prevailing perception.

The United States is currently putting real children in cages.

I don't want to put up a story about a Little in a cage while this is going on.  It's fucked up.  The world is fucked up right now and there are concentration camps in my country.  I don't feel comfortable posting the next chapter, I don't feel like saying people in cages against their will is okay while this terrible stuff is going on.  It's not fun and it doesn't make me feel good.
