babyleanna75
Some people are skinny growing up and then turn into fat adults. I don't know why that happens, having kids can do it. I have put on weight but never got fat. But I have always lost it easily. It was just cutting back on food and sweets and being active ad boom the numbers on the scale would go down and then stop at a certain point. All our bodies are set to weigh a certain amount. But some people have some imbalance in their system so let's say their body wants to weigh 220, they are going to struggle to stay skinny and keep the weight off and will gain it easily. That is what my husband told me because he heard it in a show about obesity.THe only reason I was a skinny kid is I was being starved till I was seven. Which makes a mildly fat kid worse cause I would over eat at my new fosterhome and still suffer from over eating syndrom. My brain is now wired to eat as much as I can when I can so my body wont starve agian . I go through two weeks a month without food cause they keep cutting food stamps and dont make enough to buy my own food. I now only get $70 in food stamps which dont buy to much food so it makes my over eating worse every month. Link to comment
babyleanna75
Ok wow. Does a real heavy person a super slow matabalism? Yes its a genetic dissease most of my family suffer from and makes it hard to lose weight. Link to comment
FatFrank
I think weight gain, weight loss and, simply - weight - issues are personal and individual for everyone, don't you think? Link to comment

Nat
My husband told me about the grape fruit diet and he said you will just gain all the weight right back when you get off that diet. Link to comment

Baby Brian
Frank, Don't get an above ground pool, they may seem like a good deal but they simply do not last. Expect a moderate sized in-ground pool to cost around $10 or 20,000 too. This varies depending on where you live of course, but pretty much anything large enough to actually swim in is going to cost over $10,000 easy. Even a small 5ft deep wading pool will cost over $6,000. If you do get one though, I'd recommend a simple oval or square shape which is easiest to maintain. Also get a screened enclosure over it, you'd be surprised how much they help in keeping the pool clean. I once had one without a cage and every time I wanted to use it I first had to clean it out (no trees near by but somehow leaves & pine needles still got there a lot!!!). By the time I was done cleaning it I was too tired to go swimming. I ended up tearing it out after the third leak in my vinyl liner. Don't get a liner pool either, they are not worth it either. If you do get one though, do put heavy consideration in getting a pool heater too. There isn't much more of a turn off than a pool that is only 60 degrees (or less)- brrrr. Link to comment
FatFrank
Thanks, Baby Brian, for the information on the pool. All things to consider, especially since I have never had a pool before and have no idea, really, about what the process entails. Link to comment
hlcl
How have you been doing? I have some suggestions that may help you. I am a NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist. One thing I would recommend is avoiding over the counter diet pills like Lipozene, Hydroxycut etc. They are considered dietary supplements so they don't have to be proven safe or effective like a drug. These supplements are required to carry a disclaimer, "These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease." I know you don't like the diapers and they are embarrassing. You are not alone. If lots of guys didn't need diapers they wouldn't make them. I have an idea that may help you get out of diapers. My impression is that you have a sudden urge to pee and due to being unable to hold it and mobility issues by the time you get to the bathroom and remove your diaper you are wet. If you can wear the pull-up diapers and have a male urinal nearby you may be able to use it. Link to comment
FatFrank
Many thanks, hlcl, for your comments. I have never considered diet pills because there just is no such thing as an easy or quick fix for healthy weight loss other than the simple math of it all: Link to comment
hlcl
Frank- I'm glad you realize there are no quick fixes and that weight loss is basically burning more calories than you consume. This is an instant gratification society so people are always looking for a quick fix. Everyone rushes to try this year's miracle weight loss diet or pill, wrinkle cream or get rich quick scheme because last year's didn't work. Have you seen a urologist about your incontinence? It sounds like you might have overflow incontinence where the bladder leaks or overflows because it can't empty completely. Other types of incontinence are stress incontinence in which urine leaks out due to an increase in abdominal pressure when someone coughs, sneezes, laughs, lifts something or exercises. In urge incontinence the person gets a sudden urge to urinate and their bladder empties before they can get to the bathroom. Let us know how you are doing. We're pulling for you. Link to comment
FatFrank
No diet pills and no quick fixes for me. Link to comment
FatFrank
Out of curiosity, I stopped by the incontinence support group that my doctor told me about during my last regular check-up. 1 Link to comment
Dill_Pickle
I think that the lack of "grannies" might just be because women of that generation feel even more stigmatized than the younger set. Consider that equal rights for women was defeated about 1976, and now judges arestarting to rule left and right that gay couples have tobe allowed to marry. That's a huge social change! So, two questions about the support group: what was the distribution of skin color, roughly? Do people there use store bought disposables or do they get them online? Oh, and if someone wonders where you get your clothes, it means someone they love is really big and cannot find clothes! Link to comment
FatFrank
The support group, I think now, is interesting enough for me to pop by again when they meet this week. Link to comment
Kins_lover
Frank Just remember all doctors are gaming somebody for something And still today most doctors prescribe not what is proven and works but rather the drug Link to comment
gotdiapers
Bitter? I think you're most doctors comment is lacking any real data. I work in the medical setting with doctors, have friends that are doctors and see this as something that even doctors are trying to stop it from happening. It does happen out there and is publicized but it is a very small minority of doctors they're doing this and giving medical practice a bad name. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk Link to comment
