Depends1578
I'm a small guy with a 5'5 stature and about a 28-29" waist. The Depends Max. Protection of S/M fit me actually really well, but I'm sick and tired of adding a baby diaper stuffer and putting two depends on a once to get bulk and have it feel like a real diaper. I wanted ABU, but I don't want the BMX ones, and everything else seems to be way too big. My question is, without hopefully not sounding like a newbie, is what brand can I find that will fit my small waist, but has good bulk, plastic backing, and holds a good amount of urine? Ordering online is no problem and money at the moment isnt an issue either. Suggestions? Thank you in advance, Link to comment
AutieAB
Almost all of the premium brands have a small size except some of the specialist ABDL brands. If mediums are too big on you, try those. Get sample packs and try many because it's down to individual taste which you'll find best. My waist size is only 30" and I don't have any problems to speak of. I wear mediums the majority of the time because they normally have more padding but smalls tend to fit me too, if a little tightly. Just stay away from stuff that's marketed as S/M size (Depends excluded since you say they fit you) because invariably they swap people at the bottom end of their wider size ranges. Incidentally, if your hip measurement is larger than your waist measurement, use that to decide which size to get because the side panels have to go around your hips as well as your waist. DaddyHatiwolf
that size is just tough to find quality diapers in. No one seems to manufacture decent stuff in small anymore. I blame upsizing at eateries. We went to starbucks this morning and they acted like we were cheap or something because for once we turned our lives around and ordered our calorie splurging in tall rather than gut expanding size. Leilin
O_O Drycare 24/7's small is NOT small. It is, for lack of a better term, "smedium." If you've got a small waist and no hips or butt, then you're likely to be swimming in sometehing as large as the dry 24/7 "small," which they literally just renamed from their medium (which is also says on the info on the small right from their site): "Our Small brief (formerly Medium) is still packed in the Medium pack and has remained the same amazing brief that it has been up until now. Therefore, it is still light blue, says Medium on the outside of the brief and has the extra feature of an acquisition layer. The size has and will remain the same, and we are currently working on printing a new bag which states Small." The claim that those enormous things can fit a 21 inch waist without cutting off the circulation in the legs and being incredibly uncomfortable is, frankly, laughable. They ARE, however, a great diaper. They are just not small size, not by any stretch of the term. I have a 28 inch waist, 32 inch hips, and that diaper won't fit me unless I'm literally crossing the tapes over. Link to comment

Leilin
ATNs aren't a bad diaper at all, either. Given a choice between Abena small and ATN small, I'd choose ATN hands down. Link to comment
ItchyTasty
Abena X Plus S4 are smalls. Link to comment
Repaid1
I Have and always favor Molicares in small, the fit on small is perfect for a smaller frame. I get mine from Magic Medical. I have learned that Bambino actually has the cheapest price so far on Molicare small though. Get a sample on Molicares from whoever you choose to pick you won't be sorry! They changed my life! Molicare is probably my favorite small that I have used, other than my spiffy custom cloth diapers. The only "double tape" diaper that I've worn where the tapes don't end up tearing off pieces of the diaper, thereby dissolving the point of the double tape. Link to comment
gah!ghost
I have only tried the medium Dry 24/7 but I'm 6' tall with a 30-31" waist. Most mediums fit me pretty well but the Dry 24/7 mediums are way too big on me. I would guess the smalls are in no way small in the same way the mediums are not medium. I second Molicare. I love both the Super Plus and the Super. Best plastic outer shell imo. I have tried both small and medium and they both fit me well. I just tend to go with the medium because they have more padding. I'm kind of in between sizes. Link to comment
BabyLexi
I would go with the Assurance brand from Walmart. I have found them to be great diapers both in wettings and messes. I know some people are anti-Walmart but they really aren't bad diapers. Link to comment
Amyuser
I will say all day long you want a diaper that fits perfectly when you are a really small waisted guy, and you want it to have substance and catch whatever you need bladder or bowel day or night call Angelfluff and get a handful of Cloth U3's with velcro, you will not be unhappy for years to come, they recently stopped making baby diapers to concentrate full time on the adult market and they are AB/DL Aware and Friendly for those that are Pioneers. You give them certain measurements and they produce a sample diaper you wash it wear it use it and if it is just the fit that you want then thats your pattern and they produce your diapers if it does not fit right you tell them what needs changing (all puns intended) and they adjust the diaper and then produce them. Jeanie is very nice, she and her Husband founded the company because her husband became incontinent and could not find quality diapers that would fit him for reasonable prices so they started ordering there "own " Fabric weaves and such that was the quality they wanted and then they started making diapers for him and his friends and the Company grew and now its international and even the US Government Allows Incontinent Veterans to purchase Cloth Diapers ,Plastic Pants & Bloomers , Onesie's , booster liners , diaper Pails, just about everything that Angelfluff sells the VA will pay for if your Urologist makes a case for it. but once again let me say if you like cloth you'll love these diapers. happyindprs
I second the cloth diaper idea. My friend has a similar waist size and wears cotton prefold diapers from adult Cloth Diaper. He also wears the small 24/7 but also complains of them being a bit too big for him as well. Have you tried the youth sizes that some of the manufacturers have? All in all I think cloth will be the way to go for you. Link to comment
mammaof6
IF you can find someone to sew it for you, there's an adult cloth diaper sewing pattern that goes down to a 22" waste....it looks really good! The soaker holds like 10 oz and the page says that you can easily add/remove soaking material? Link to comment
groovykitty
Has anyone tried the small tena slip? I'm a smaller size as well ( 26 hips 24 waist ) and just ordered some of these but don't really know if they will be good or not since I've never tried them ( or any adult diaper really ) Link to comment
Angela Bauer
Back in August 1981 when I had to transition from gauze diapers while living at home to Attends for living in my university dorm, it turned out the Attends fitting me best were then called "Small Adult" Their data suggested those for hips <20" to 29", weight from 80-110 pounds and height from 4'10" to 5'3" Then I was 100 pounds, 5'3" with a 20" waist and 24" hips. Attends Small were almost too big for me. In those days they made "Attends Youth" which were somewhat smaller, down to <60 pounds I think. Attends even made "Junior" which was about the size of a current Size 6. Remember back then the largest Pampers or Huggies were about the same as current Size 5. I know the campus general store at my university in upstate New York stocked Attends from Junior to Extra Large. I bought many cartons of the Small. After what was then Paper Pak Corporation discontinued Junior and the old Youth, they renamed the old Small as "Youth" retaining the same product code of the classic poly-plastic diaper, which I still buy today.
