Shipping Diapers To A Hotel

Recommended Posts

So, we're going to Disneyland for 7 nights and I plan on being little most of the time and wearing diapers full time while I'm down there. I plan on getting Bambinos to ship a case to the hotel but I've never done that before.

Do I call the hotel and let them know?

What name should I order it to? My Name C/O Hotel Name?

How far in advance should I place my order? It looks like Bambinos is in CA so it shouldn't take too long to get to my Anaheim hotel.

Thanks and huggles,

Michelle

just callthe hotel and let them k ow who you are when you are comong and that you are having some things shipped down so if they get there early can they holdthe paclage for you ... then call bambinos and ask then if you want a package delived to blank address for blank day when should you order ... then order like two days early

Sarah's got it right. A quick call to the hotel will solve your problem. They're used to getting that kind of request all the time. If I recall, when I used to ship product literature ahead of me for a trade show being held at a hotel, they usually had me address it something like:

Guest Craig Bedwetter

Fancy Hotel Co.

street

city, state zip

I think Bambinos ships in unmarked boxes, but you'll probably want to verify that.

Have a nice trip!

Yeah that just say "TBHG". Their company is "The Bottom Half Group".

Thanks everyone, for some reason my brain didn't link shipping to a hotel for a conference, which I haven't done is over 5 years. It's definitely more common than I was thinking :)

I just take mine with me....then I have lots of room for souveniers

I would if the airlines didn't charge $40 to check a "bag". Free shipping to the hotel is much, much cheaper :)

I will only say would you need a case for only 7 days, What are you going to do w/ the leftovers?

1. pack them & ship them home.

2. leave them behind.

or only order a couple packages even if it is a little more expensive so you only have 1 or 5 to pack.

I won't quite go through a case, but I already plan on shipping some souvenirs back home to avoid the extra bag charges with the airline. I'll probably pack an extra duffle bag in the one I already paid for to be checked just in case then depending on the cost of shipping vs checking an additional bag, I may just pay the extra with the airline. USPS isn't very expensive to ship with and I have 2 mailing addresses in the US I can send it to.

Not diapers, but I've had stuff fedex'd to hotels I was staying at before. It's reguarly done and while not strictly required it would behoove you to call the front desk and let them know you are expecting a package (especially if it is possible it will arrive before you get there).

I called the hotel and asked if they would receive packages for guests. They told me to address it to their address in the name that the reservation is under. I placed my Bams order today so they should arrive some time next week :)

Thanks everyone

Done this [had stuff shipped to hotels] loads of times before - seems like you've got it sorted but I'll comment anyway.

From experience, Disney hotels have never given me any problems. They all have a lot of space for holding stuff (esp. the ones around the boardwalk area in florida and convention centres in other places), I've never had a problem.

Most chain hotels will not have any problem holding quite a lot of stuff, I've frequently had 50+ laptops, projectors and all the associated stuff (power adaptors, networking gear, specialised kit etc.) sent over to hotels ahead of time. In terms of scale that's about 15 bambino cases. Most hotels will be happy holding it for at least 5 days before you check in.

General advice on this? Phone the hotel and confirm the shipping address, that they can hold the shipment and let them know how many cases etc. are involved (and if they are particularly heavy) so they have some heads up.

I generally leave a telephone number in one of the address lines so the hotel can call you if they have any problems (I never have).

When you check-in, remember to say you have packages being held and mention how they can identify them ("it's the ones with this phone number as the 2nd address line" if you've followed my tip from above).

... and tip the poor sod who has to lug it all to your room(s) ;)
