I've recently been using Girls pink Pull Ups as stuffers for either Attends or ATN's. The ATN's take a little more work as they have the strip with the printing and wetness indicator. But if I use some "fluff" and rubbing alcohol it comes off well. I use spray adhesive to keep them in place as well as seal their opening up top. I also have lot's of Pampers 7 that look adorable. Like Pampers for adults. Would anyone be interested in buying a few? It's rather time consuming, so I'd have to factor supplies used and time involved. But what do you all think?

I had the opportunity to go fabric shopping this morning. At JoAnn's I priced 100% cotton terrycloth. I decided at about $11.00 per yard it was too expensive. My code word for such things is shop rags which I'm always in need of anyhow. I decided a better course of action might be to scope out the thrift stores for bath towels. When I find something acceptable, I'll cut it into soaker panels and sew them into my diapers of choice.

Last week I went to Target and bought a 4 pack of Flour Sack Towels. These are 30X30 inches. As they are 100% cotton, they will shrink in the wash, and as I had read, must be laundered before using as diapers. Since they are a bit small, one needs to be judicious in folding technique. I found that the only fold I could use was what I call the letter fold; where you take both sides and fold them to meet in the middle, and then fan out the top a bit, bringing up the bottom end up between the legs. After experimenting yesterday, I found that three towels layered and folded made a pretty good diaper. And just as a belt and suspenders expedient, I folded up a baby diaper that I had been using as a polishing cloth (and had been thoroughly laundered previously for just this occasion) and used it as a soaker this morning. So I got up this morning, diapered up with my towels, took my morning leak, and made coffee. One of the things I learned is to pee in short bits so that a puddle doesn't occur in the bottom of my PUL. I have to say that layered up this way Flour Sack Towels really make great diapers. I'll have to buy a few more.

I'd love to see a picture of someone with a poopy diaper on their bouncy horse! I've seen a few folks show an interest in bouncy horses in AB size - if anyone actually had the skill to make one, I'd happily collaborate on that project since I have a lot of "tack" that rarely gets used and would simply add to the authenticity.

Here's my wife's latest. A pocket diaper with tshirt cotton material inside, a Zorb layer sandwiched between 2 layers of flannel inside the pocket, and a PUL shell. Soon it will have elastics and snaps for an additional inner soaker (!). She estimates it as costing $8.00 us, and will take about 10 hrs total. I didn't know that! It's her first franken-all-in-3 though.
