It doesn't look like I did a very good job of putting this diaper on myself. In fact, I don't like wearing cloth diapers, due the difficulty not only of putting them on but also of getting them to smell clean. -

I think I was wearing a full cloth diaper underneath these plastic pants. -

This all-in-one diaper has Velcro fasteners, so that pins are not required. I don't rely on its waterproofing. -

Finally got my first snappies and boingos and they are fantastic. I always used diaper pins in the past but snappies hold the wet diapers in place better. They are easier to use then pins. I don't know why I waited so long to try them. These items make cloth diaper wearing even better. Anyone else have any experiences using them instead of pins?

Someone suggested to me on this board about a year or so back that I buy terry towels to use as diapers. Considering I can't afford cloth birdseye diapers as easily as I once did, it's beginning to sound like a really good idea.

So I was digging through my closet looking for some plastic panties, and I found some snap on ones that I hadn't worn in a long time. I put them on over my thick cloth diaper and just barely got them on! I normally like them to fit loose, but these clearly define my diapers shape. It looks so cool!

Ever since I first came to this forum, I've been curious about one thing. Those of you who wear cloth diapers, is there a particular folding method you prefer? I found the "jelly roll" fold (as shown here:

My mom claims the diapers raise up our water and sewer bill and I wonder if it will be any cheaper to use disposables 24/7? Let's see: I rinse them out in the toilet and I have to flush it every time because no way am I sticking my hands in someone else's pee. Guess how many times a day I do this? Now add in my daughter's diapers and she goes through more than me a day. I wash them and then rinse them We pay for water and sewer so doubling that in our bill raises it and I do wash diapers about every other day or three. I wonder if it will be any cheaper to use disposable. I have tried different detergents also and my diapers still smell. I am thinking about trying rock bottom or whatever that detergent is called. I have tried vinegar and they still smell and so does the washer, I have tried washing less diapers, tried the oxy clean detergent whatever it's called and they still smell, I tried rinsing them out and they still smell. I feel selfish for all this because my mom just told me she has to rewash her clothes because of the pee smell. I don't know how many times I would have to rinse them out or wash them before the smell is gone so I wonder if using disposables 24/7 be any cheaper? If diapers will be any cheaper than our sewer and water bill, then we would be saving money with disposables. I don't do the finances so I wouldn't know how high our water bill is and the sewer. Anyone ever had any experience? Is your bill any cheaper with cloth or more?

From the album: My Diapers
I have four bed pads to protect my bed in addition to a waterproof cover on the mattress. I have 5 pull-on babykins terry (1 layer only) cloth diapers to act as backup to my disposable during the day. I have 3 babykins velcro cloth diapers to act as backup at night.-

having been asked to start this thread here http://www.dailydiapers.com/board/index.php?showtopic=36477&page=2 I am doing so. This presumes that you go out as AB/AK/DL How would you go about setting upa diaper bag Obviouslyit would be different for an AB/AK and a DL At any rate the diapers would be bigger and what about a changing pad? Now, real babies are changed on a pad made for that purpose Back when a baby or child was laid on a bed to be changed which meant a waterproof sheet or diaper would be put under her The waterrprppf item would be either a piece of a rubber sheet or on of the 2-1/2" square two-sided quilted plastic pads that were also used as a lap pad. However the last time I saw one of those was 38 years ago You would need to carry changes, supplies and accessories. A child still in diapers might alos have baby things put in the bag just to let her know what she is being treated like to goad her into "acting her age" in 1951 "If you want to wet like a baby, we will treat you like a baby"

I got up this morning and changed my wet diaper. I decided that for today to put on a night-time cloth diaper and some flannel lined plastic panties. Onesie on over that. Now I have the diaper waddle so bad, I can feel it when I'm walking! Loving it!

OK, after hearing so many good things about PUL pants, I thought I would try a pair. Thanks to Amazon, they took little time to get here and the package was discrete. I just have one problem- what side is out? These are the ones made by Gary, and they do have a tag, but in their packaging the tag was facing out. "Inquiring minds want to know"
