  1. We've all said it. Age is just a number. If you are as compatible as you sound I think it's a wonderful idea to continue to see her and see where it goes. We all know how hard it is to find someone who accepts this side of us and she seems to be a very nice lady. I wish you the best of luck and hope you and her both find happiness. Oh and of course keep us posted. Success stories like what this could be are few and far between.
  2. Just did the math on that for the U.S. Would be somewhere near 27 million incontinent people. I didn't know what the 0-4 numbers were so I'm only somewhere in the neighborhood. I wouldn't be surprised though since we have an aging population.
  3. Sorry about my answer. I didn't know you were that close to diaper dependency. So put on your most discrete diaper and hold that grandbaby tight. I'm sure you will find a happy medium so that you can do everything any other grandma would do.
  4. I think it's very easy myself. When you're with your grand baby you are an adult and when not you can be abdl. It will feel a bit strange at first but at least for me it was easy to go back and forth. In my mind I was a little jealous at first because they got to wear and use diapers and no one gave it a second thought. Although for me that's when my wife thought I should give up wearing diapers.
  5. As long as you both go into it not expecting a total commitment I would definitely do it. My parents age difference was 14 years.
  6. Several years ago I was but the wife was not a fan. Of course she isn't a fan of me in diapers either so I think there's a connection. I do prefer to be smooth but oh well.
  7. I've also read that you shouldn't pee in the shower as it will lead to incontinence. YIPPEE!
  8. I'm not sure if breast milk goes right though you but I'd definitely give it a shot since your wife is ok with it. if you don't care for it let them both know. You may not like it but it could be a very wonderful experience.
  9. Hey Sparklezbear That sounds wonderful! A lot of us here live vicariously through those who get to do what we would love to have the chance to do. WEAR DIAPERS 24/7. I hope you keep getting positive results and eventually reach your goal. I also understand your need for discretion. My wife worked as an aide at the local school and asked me in about 2014 if I would drop out of any and all diaper sites I belonged to. She was near retirement and didn't want my kink to derail her job. It was a small conservative town with most of the school board members frowning on the slightest hint of something non-vanilla. I did as she asked and rejoined DD in 2017. I wish you the best of luck going forward.
  10. I took advantage of the LL Medico sale of 10% off. That combined with my store credit I had built up I got a case of BetterDry for $80. When they get here I'll worry about storing them because I normally buy one case at a time. Have 3 XP500's left before I start on my current case of BetterDry.
  11. No, they don't all use the same page but like I said, I don't know that much about Facebook. For what it's worth I'm not creating an account there.
  12. Blueberry tops my list with pecan coming in a close second and pumpkin third.
  13. The main reason I'm not on Facebook. I'm afraid I'd click on something adult diaper related without thinking and an ad would show up. My whole family is on there so the odds are good someone would see it before I got rid of it. I'm on Twitter and Insta and am very careful what I search for. Of course I'm not that familiar with Facebook so maybe I might be OK.
  14. I used to wear just a disp. diaper but if you wet a little too much they would leak. So I bought a couple of pairs of plastic pants to catch the leaks. Now I can wet until the diaper is totally used and get the most for my money.
  15. Very happy for you Little Belle! Being comfortable in who you are makes life a lot easier. So if it's diapers you need then by all means wear and enjoy them.
  16. I had that same problem with Bambino's years ago. It's not something you want to deal with but it happens. I just used good old duct tape on mine and the problem was solved.
  17. This is the time of year I start wearing my onesie to bed. Has to be pretty cool in the house to do that.
  18. Old and dangly bits here. I've found that my computer chair and or my recliner are the easiest way to release. Apparently if I just suck in my stomach it will help put pressure on my bladder which helps me let go. If I'm driving a car there is no way I'm wetting unless I raise myself up. When I do wear to bed I have an easier time wetting on my sides than I do on my back although I don't know why. I know disposables aren't supposed to be reliable for side sleepers but I'm not a heavy wetter and they work just fine. On nights when i do drink more before bed I put in a good booster just in case and I also wear plastic pants. I'm sorry I just don't have the answer for you on wetting in bed more easily.
  19. Uh, by now I would say nothing. We've been married over 49 years so she's seen me at my best and my worst. Of course the worst would be diapers which she has begrudgingly become a lot more comfortable with. Our last conversation about them has been our best. She diapers me now as soon as she hears me getting one ready so there is no being self-conscious on my part. I just lay back on the diaper and wait for her to come in and tape it up. Many years ago when she first diapered me there was some embarrassment but it didn't last long. I guess I'm just one of those people that things like this doesn't bother. Right now life is good.
  20. I used to use powder and lotion but have since cut back to just lotion. Taking the 4 prescription meds I'm on gives me a better chance for a rash to happen. During my 24/7 time there is a decent chance I may get a rash if I don't use something. Even if I'm just going to diaper for a night I use lotion also. One of those big J&J baby lotions lasts me around 3 to 4 months so the cost is minimal. Plus it smells good and it could keep the dreaded rash away.
  21. In my case when I was the OP's age I was the same way. Diapers were the farthest thing from my mind. Once my daughters got in their teens the feeling came back as strong as ever. I kept it very discreet during those times but once they were gone I wore even more than before. As far as being a grandparent @Mindylouthere is absolutely nothing wrong with you wearing diapers. I became a grandfather at 50 and it didn't change a thing. Of course my wife thought I should just stop then but that wasn't an option. Now she diapers me per our agreement and I'm limited to how many days i can go 24/7.
  22. I currently am wearing an XP5000 with no booster. They don't hold as much as a BetterDry but I LOVE the 'hook and loop' tapes. The next time I order diapers I'll probably go back to the BetterDry. They fit slightly better and the tapes are almost as good and slightly cheaper.
  23. @oznl I believe you nailed it Dr. Freud! Sorry, oznl. That says it all. We all have our triggers.
  24. I'll just confirm what everyone else has posted here and that is to wear something over the diaper that isn't tight. Also, you ladies do have an edge on us guys. You can wear a dress or skirt over your diaper. As long as it's not too short you can hide a diaper easily. I understand you being nervous though as most of us were wearing out in public for the first time. One of my tricks is to wear a long shirt so it covers my backside. I've bought a few from a big and tall men's section at a dep't store.
