Tentative Book Cover in the Works
BoTox replied to BoTox's topic in Critiques and Writer's Discussion
Here's my second book cover idea for this upcoming book. Which is better? Ideas, thoughts or snide remarks? -
Here's a book cover I'm in the process of making for my next book in the Diaper Plague series. It is about a MtF transgender. I have another one I'll post up once I've made it presentable to see which one is better liked.

Story about MtF Gender Affirmation Surgery?
BoTox replied to BoTox's topic in Critiques and Writer's Discussion
Thanks, I've enjoyed the legally diapers series but I'm not sure I have any topics that would be worth continuing it. My ideas come in spurts and fits with little continuity, hence the latest story. Having absolutely no experience with transgender or transitions, I did a lot of reading of blogs and medical descriptions. Hopefully, I won't be terribly far off the mark. -
If you are familiar with my Diaper Plague world, it is the next installment I'm working on. If you aren't, briefly, a virus has wiped out all continence for women and they have been legally relegated to second class citizens with few rights and locked diapers. I have written a story about a guy that secretly wants to wear diapers like his mom and sister. He gets caught by the authorities and is locked in diapers for 30 days while being forced to see a therapist. This leads to him discovering he has long repressed desires to be treated like a girl. The story is about his journey and where it leads him. I intend to have elements of transgender, med-fet, forced diapers, surgical incontinence and transition surgery. So far, I have about 16,000 words written before I start polishing. Does this sound like something that would have a following?

If you could have no control of your bladder
BoTox replied to abwetter1's topic in Incontinent-Desires
If the pill were like a laxative for the bladder, had a known effective time frame and wore off after the dose had run its course, then I think it would be interesting to experiment with it. For instance, take it before bedtime and wake up wet would be a freeing experience. As a permanent or very long acting cause of incontinence, no, I would not. That will remain the stuff of fantasy. -
Audio books do very well but are very expensive to create. If you have a pleasing voice and can read them well, you will probably have quite a following.

Free Amazon Book This Weekend - The Best Parking Spaces
BoTox replied to BoTox's topic in Story and Art Forum
Thanks for the feedback. I had a follow up intended when I was writing it. I wanted to leave a little on the table. It also shows that she was wiling to temporarily trade some of her dignity for a little longer hold on the best parking spaces. It had become too easy for her to fall into that routine.- 9 replies

Free Amazon Book This Weekend - The Best Parking Spaces
BoTox replied to BoTox's topic in Story and Art Forum
I understand your problem. I setup a proxy and use a different machine for all of my kinky stuff. Perhaps you could use TOR or UltraSurf for your alternate Amazon account? To be honest, giving it away on Amazon still gets me page reads, which pays me even though the reader pays nothing for the book. Due to it being enrolled in Kindle Unlimited, I'm not allowed to distribute it via other channels.- 9 replies

This weekend, from Friday to Sunday, midnight to midnight Pacific TIme, my first in the Legally Diapered Series is available for free. Get your free copy starting Friday morning: The Best Parking Spaces Here's the blurb in case you need enticement to delve further. Barb had it all, great job, racy car and amazing looks but she didn't have a good parking spot. She had always had to cruise the lot to find a suitable space. More than once she had illegally parked in the seldom used handicapped parking places. After all, they weren't being used. She'd been ticketed one too many times and the police towed her car. That was inconvenient. Now she'd have to trek across town to get it back. To her dismay, it wasn't that simple. She was facing some real jail time if it were not for an alternative sentencing program. She was not prepared for the terms of the diversionary program that had her wetting diapers uncontrollably. The only upside to her sentence of incontinence and disability was that she could continue to use the best parking spaces.

Editing/saving before publishing???
BoTox replied to Tisha's topic in Critiques and Writer's Discussion
That's sort of what I do. I create in Apache Open Office so I can edit it easily and then paste it into Notepad. It strips all the weird formatting marks that a word processor adds. -
OK, not sure if this is getting better or not.
-
I'm thinking of using this for the cover of my next book, a collection of stories that includes The Best Parking Spaces and similar. Is it too subtle, too bold, too boring or too Halloween/Fall themed?
-
Try going into KDP and when you hover over "View on Amazon" for your book, the markets it is available in will show up. Then you can click on UK, AU, CA or whatever your desired region to see if the book is free in that one. It has worked for me. I verified changing the amazon.com to amazon.ca worked in that instance.

In case I wasn't clear, it is free. They pay you if your books sell. The minimum price is $0.99 and earns 35% royalties. I sell most of my books at $2.99, which is the minimum price to earn 70% royalties. As for hoops to jump through, it isn't too bad. I can help, or I'm sure one of the others here, if you hit a snag.

I've been writing for more than 20 years and selling on Amazon for the last 2 years so I am not a pro at Amazon but I have 30 books currently available on Amazon. I'm not going to get rich but an extra $30-50 bucks a month is welcome. TL;DR - It isn't hard but you have to follow Amazon's rules which sometimes aren't clear. I'll answer questions if you like, in PM if you prefer to be private about anything. As you probably already know from reading books on Amazon, a few things make for a better story: First, the editing and proofreading make a good story bad and it makes a bad story crap. Second, knowing your target audience and appealing to them. Third, you will need to research a little and find what keywords describe your book for it to show up in searches. Finally, a good cover and book description are the hook that gets people to look closer. If you want to publish on Amazon, the very first thing you have to do is sign up for a KDP account at: https://kdp.amazon.com That will get you started. If you do, you will have to provide a real bank account and other actual details. Don't worry. Amazon is the only one that can see those. I freaked out but they do not care. It is a business transaction to them. You will get a 1099 at the end of the year for tax purposes if you are in the US. I'm not sure how it is handled in other countries but I assume global 'Zon has it covered. Write your stories in MS Word or something compatible. I use Apache Office with good results. Then download the Kindle Create app from Amazon. It will format your book in the proper layout and allow you to preview it as if it were a phone or a Kindle. When you post a story on Amazon you will use a pen name, an alias if you don't want to use your real name. For obvious reasons, most authors that write steamy/kinky/fetish books do not use their real names. DO NOT pick one that is a popular author like J.K. Rowling or Stephen King. Also, don't even try one too similar like J.K. Rawling or Steven Kang. Amazon tends to frown on that. When you publish a book, you have two choices. You can either publish just the kindle book (and/or paperback) or you can also enroll it in Kindle Unlimited. The implications of Kindle Unlimited is that you cannot post the story in any form in any other location. They frown on anything more than about a 10% preview or excerpt. Finally, the rules regarding erotic and fetish books are vague but it is universally accepted that no minors and no non-consensual sex.

A week's worth of writing down the drain...
BoTox replied to NateSean's topic in Critiques and Writer's Discussion
If you want to keep things from getting lost, back them up. It is a simple thing and if it isn't, you have the wrong technology. For instance, Google Docs are free and accessible anywhere you can get Internet. -
I think there were 32 downloads during the free time. I love reading this story and I know how it ends. LOL

As that time of year rolls around again, I'm giving away copies of my book, Halloween Again? next weekend, October 16-18, 2020. I'm also announcing my latest book in the Diaper Plague series, From College to Diapers. It is the third in the series that started with Patient 0 that I posted here a few months ago. Here's the blurb for the new book: All the women in the world are incontinent from the plague that left them to deal with diapers. This is the third in the Diaper Plague series. It is the story of Peggy Sue, Bobbie Jo’s daughter. Her tale gives another glimpse of the time when women were first subjugated by men, stripped of their degrees and their control of bodily functions.Peggy Sue has an unexpected brush with the law that finds her on the spanking stage. They also sentence her to community service in a comfort station, a place where women can have their diapers changed if they meet the requirements. This gives Peggy Sue a look behind the curtain. Her pregnancy sets the stage for the next book in the series. One about a rebellious child of privilege.
