  1. Yes- I understood that. I was inquiring WHAT medicine caused it. Would like to avoid.
  2. What does incontinence medication induced mean?
  3. Excellent point. Peed pants in public are hard to come back form
  4. As I have said before- Very little goes on in a teenagers bedroom that Mom is not aware of :) I am sometimes amazed at the discretion they showed regarding "boy stuff". With the DDAVP my mother tried to ween me off diapers at night. For about the first year, even though the DDAVP worked for the most part, I would intentionally have a major wetting from time to time-because I did not want to lose the security I felt wearing diapers to bed. I suspect my mother knew more than she let on, but my top drawer was always well stocked with properly fitting "night wear"
  5. Did your parents ever figure that out? Also, I don't think I would have taken the DDAVP if I did not need it. Used to get headaches and always had a upset stomach in morning.
  6. I stopped being chronic around the age of 12-13. Never totally stopped. Was fairly dry through high school because my parents had me on DDAVP, but when I started college I stopped using it so much and the bedwetting returned , although not every night.
  7. I wet the bed on the 5th grade overnight trip to Sacramento our school took to see the state capital. It was humiliating.
  8. The minute I pull up my plastic pants.
  9. I never thought of it that way But you are right. I have some juvenile print underwear, traingng pants and plastic pants and it just feels so natural to wet them.
  10. Who was still wetting their bed in junior high or even high school and how does that affect how you see yourself now? I was a chronic almost every night diapered bedwetter through most of junior high.
  11. Besides being "suspects" did any of your siblings still have bedwetting issues?
  12. I don't generally wake up until morning if my bed gets wet. If I happen to wake up in middle of night, I will throw down a towel or something. With that said I have no problem going back to sleep in a wet diaper and plastic pants and generally won't change until morning.
  13. God no! Try to keep this a family secret. Its on a need to know basis. Would be humiliating. I will call ahead to hotels, but I still cringe at the thought that some indiscrete clerk at check-in will say something like- your bed has a rubber sheet as you requested ! With that said, I have been in several relationships where fairly early I was forced to admit to some periodic "bedwetting issues" often after the act has happened. So by the time you turn 30, a fair amount of hopefully mature people are aware of the issue.
  14. I was a bedwetter all through college. Although my bedwetting subsided alot (only a few times a month), it was at the cost of regular and sound sleep. Also, when you try to live in denial that you have found the cure, it results in a lot more drama when you end up in some extremely well peed beds.
  15. Two words: RUBBER PANTS Will solve that problem of leaking diapers.
  16. In grade school on more than one occasion as 3rd or 4th graders I can remember playing at friends houses and seeing their beds airing out or stripped during the middle of the week. Did not take a rocket scientist to understand why As late as 6th or 7th grade, I can remember sitting on several friends beds and instinctively feeling a rubber or plastic sheet. I am sure they could feel mine. Whether that is because they were still wetting at night or their mom's were just being careful because of prior issues is unknown. But clearly I was not the only one. I never had the nerve to actually ask one, because I know how humiliating that can be. I went to summer camp with one of the neighbor kids when I was 10 and had more than one "accident'. Although I was trying to be discrete he discovered me ditching a wet pull up in the bathroom garbage. He inquired so I told him I still had bedwetting issues. He told me that he had only recently (the prior year) stopped wetting alot and he still had "accidents'. He told me he prayed he did not have one at camp because he had no pullups and he would be outed. He told me he would not tell anyone, and to my knowledge he kept his word.
  17. I think enjoy is a stretch. I wish I did not have the curse, but I tolerate it and often find it convenient to use my diapers for their intended purpose if I am otherwise awake and feeling lazy.
  18. I am 30 and have been a bedwetter for my entire life. it slowed down a lot late in high school and college because I made a conscious effort looking for the "cure". I attribute that to 5 or 6 years of really lousy sleep-and I still would wake up wet several times a month. So after college I decided "what's the point" if I have to sleep diapered anyway to avoid the mess. So I started sleeping a lot better and now find I wake up wet more mornings than not. However, I have many dry mornings and even the "dry streak" for a week or more from time to time. Go figure !
  19. Wet diaper-leaked into plastic pants, but kept bed dry.
  20. Humiliated some times. but shame-No- have no control over it.
  21. Ya-my younger sister, because of her still being a bedwetter until age 12, felt our pain and was very discrete. She would never humiliate us.
  22. My older brother (2 years) and I both wet the bed chronically well into our teens. We have a sister three years younger than me who was an every night wetter until she started getting regualr periods around the age of 12 and stopped completely.
  23. I have a rubbersheet on my bed. It cotton on the top and rubber on bottom. I remember when growing up my bed had a real light grey rubber sheet filled with air bubbles. On a heavy wetting night the pee would kind of puddle in the ridges of the air filled bubbles. Very effective and easy to just wipe down the next morning. I have been looking for full sized version of this sheet for years, but I can only seem to find (called air filled cot sheet) in sizes that fit baby cribs. Does anyone remember these kind of rubber sheets and know where a larger variety can still be found?
  24. About 11 or so. I wore pull-ups and plastic pants
  25. Diaper, rubber/plastic pants and flannel pj bottom in winter-in summer substitute baggy gymshorts for pj bottoms
