  1. One morning in mid winter a couple years ago I was woken by the door bell and jumped out of bed in my wet diaper. I grabbed my robe and quickly put it on but didnt securely tighten it at the waist as I ran to the door because the bell rang a second time. When I opened the door the delivery guy handed me a large package and told me I needed to sign for it. When I went to grab it I realized it was heavy and as I bent over to secure it my robe swung open and my diaper was on full display. The delivery guy didnt say anything but I was really self-conscious and embarassed about it and apologized for making him wait while I put it on the table and then came back to sign for it. I wonder if others have had these kind of experiences too and whether anything is ever said about it or how you handle it?
  2. The place you order from might allow for delivery instructions. I dont like getting packages delivered at my door either because of theft although I dont usually get diapers delivered because I can buy them locally. When I get other stuff delivered though I usually ask that I be at home to accept the delivery and if Im not they put a delivery notice on my door and I have to go pick it up either at the delivery company depot or the post office. Once though when I did this they never found the package when I took in the delivery notice. It never showed up back at the depot they said and they couldnt track it. So there can be a risk although I think most big companies are pretty reliable.
  3. Wow, thats a really specific fantasy. I have all sorts of fantasies that I use to pleasure myself maybe because Ive been sleeping alone for the past decade or so. My fantasies include women and men and all sorts of wetting scenarios. I have a particular fetish about being awake and watching a female whose had too much to drink wetting her panties in my bed in her sleep and another about having a male mate realize Ive drunk peed my cot at fishing camp and then emptying his full morning bladder on me for retaliation. Im not sure I totally swing one way or the other other but I tend to fantasize more about females urinating. Ive fantasized about transsexuals (MtF) too but I guess never fully put it in my repertory.
  4. Pretty much true these days I think. Nobody notices. I go to a medical supply sometimes and one of the staff who knows I buy diapers will tell me if a product is on a special deal and has talked to me about the most popular products with the best reviews from customers. That's their business of course but even in other retails stores most staff and other customers are completely casual. I remember shopping for a plastic mattress cover at a department store a few years ago and couldn't find the kind I wanted so asked the young sales guy. He asked me what it was for and when I said bedwetting he was very helpful and not a bit judgmental.
  5. Of course it would be best if the friend took ownership and used protection. And he certainly should never sleep on furniture like a couch. Somebody should discreetly talk to him. If he is there a lot though another option would be to have a place for him to sleep prepared, like maybe a cot or single bed in the basement with a protected mattress. I dont think its worth embarassing a visitor about these things. Life happens. Bedwetting is not a major offense.
  6. I havent slept away from home for a long time due to health issues that make it difficult to travel. But I agree that its better to be prepared. In the old days I sometimes took a folded up plastic sheet and diapers. The motels on my regular route when I had to travel for work knew of my issue and took precautions. Now theres disposable products. I wonder if the disposable bedwetting pads work well for adults? Do they make them specifically for adult bedwetters or heavy wetters?
  7. Sounds like your having a good time. I pee in the shower most mornings. Usually I wear jockeys and soak them before turning the water on. And then I take them off and put them on the tub ledge outside the curtain so I can reuse them.
  8. I dont like to have it break the skin either. Thats too severe.
  9. My mattress that I use now cost about $800 so I make sure its protected. There was an article in the news a couple years about a young guy I think in Canada who got sued for wetting the bed when he was drunk. He fought the claim but I think the judge made him pay over $600 to compensate for replacing the mattress. I think most of us would just pay instead of having our name in the news. It shows though that its better to be safe than sorry. Do you find the plastic that was on the mattress when you bought it works well? I use a fitted plastic sheet. I buy them at a local department store and their pretty good until the plastic starts to harden and crack usually after a couple years which is when I replace them. I think I would worry that the manufacturers plastic the mattress comes in wouldnt last long and also would have a crinkly sound when your on the bed. Maybe it sounds corny but when I was younger and had my first place I used large green plastic garbage bags that I cut down the seams to get a flat sheet but they weren't very effective and were very crinkly. With the durable fitted sheet covered by an absorbing pad theres little noise.
  10. I communicated with a couple people I met through PO boxes. Somebody told me about a gay mag that ran personal ads for people with fetishes and I nervously picked up a copy of it and sent out a couple letters. I had a phone relationship with one guy for quite a while but never met him. I also communicated by mail with another guy who said he was a bedwetter a few times. But I think the internet makes things easier.
  11. There was no internet when I was growing up and for a long time I thought I was the only person in the world fixated on these interests. I actually learned before having access to the internet that some people had similar interests. But I think the internet allowed us to communicate openly with likeminded people which I think is a good thing. I was fixated on wetting before DL. I have to admit I'm not AB though. DPF was my first online site as well. I liked it and was sad it was shut down after Tommy died.
  12. I think its a bit unusual to start wetting the bed again after being dry unless alcohol or a medical problem is involved. I went several years from my mid 30s to mid 40s without having an actual accident and then after getting heavily drunk at a party one night woke up soaked early the next morning. It was a shock especially because Id stopped using bedwetting protection. During my "dry" period I seldom drank but mainly due to psychological and relationship issues had began doing it again in the period just before the big accident. I brought a new mattress cover pretty quickly and diapers shortly after that.
  13. I have a soaker pad over a fitted plastic mattress cover. I wrecked a mattress when I first moved out of my parents place years ago. Replacing mattresses is expensive so taking precaution is a lot easier and cheaper in the long run.
  14. Thanks for that. I got the dosage cut once and its helped a bit. The main problem now is that while I often feel like I have to pee I release very little urine when I try to go unlike before the med when it just flowed. The attitude when I raise the issue seems to be that drugs have side effects so you just have to adjust to them.
  15. Sorry to hear about all of that. My parents werent quite as severe as that thank goodness. My father was against the use of diapers after we started school because he felt it encouraged wetting. I had to wear training pants (thick underpants) under plastic pants at school a few times after accidents and that was no fun especially when others noticed because the plastic made crinkling noise. Pants wetting wasnt uncommon when I was in grade school but I got teased for it sometimes. After a cluster of accidents in 5th grade I was shunned by others who didnt want me on sports teams or as a group partner. It was later determined that the accidents were likely caused by petit mal seizures something that wasnt realized at first because I usually had major convulsive epileptic seizures throughout my childhood, a situation caused after I was thrown out of a car in a car accident. Seat belts werent common or compulsory back then. I used to cry to try to avoid spankings for bedwetting but my mom was at least sympathetic sometimes but not always. She died when I was a young adult but my father later apologized for the harsh punishments we got for often minor infractions. He said he was raised under the "spare the rod spoil the child" school of parenting and only much later came to realize the problems and resentments it caused. It think your right that it impacts interests and fetishes.
  16. I go more often but also have less urine when I do go. I feel like I have to go but unless Ive been drinking beer or a lot of liquids it seldom seems like enough to be a full bladder. I take a med now for muscle control and it helps through the day with less bladder urgency issues but also a sense that my bladder never fully empties. At night it doesnt seem to make much difference. I often wake up and feel a bit of bladder pressure but figure not enough for a full bladder and then go back to sleep. And then I wet without knowing it. If I wear a diaper its not a big deal obviously but sometimes I dont and its more inconvenient but theres always protection on the mattress anyway.
  17. I agree. When I was younger I felt like I was the only one with these interests. I also think that a lot of us in our 50s and 60s start experiencing a decrease in our function control so theres a kind of natural community among the older age groups. Im glad so many on here are comfortable with stating their actual age because its not always the case.
  18. I couldnt wait much time at all until I started on a new med a few months ago. Now though I can hardly pee when I feel like I have to go. Im not sure which is worst.
  19. I have some loose fitting black nylon shorts that I wear without undies in the summer. I love to sit outside after drinking a few beers and let it flow. They dry really fast.
  20. Your response on this topic got pushed down the list so I guess I didnt see it earlier. Anyway I think your experience is similar to lot of us who are over a certain age. My parents were very frustrated with me and my brother who were overage bedwetters and a family friend recommended a disciplinary response which I think was more common decades ago. When after a couple years it wasnt very effective and was leading to other discipline problems they changed tactics. I also recall the no liquids after 7 pm and 4 am alarm wakeups that we had to deal with for years. Finally my mother said we were old enough to do our own laundry and after that we only got in trouble if we didnt wash our wet bedding and pjs.
  21. A wet bed only bothers me if I wake up in the middle of the night. If I wake up with one in the morning its not really a big deal. I take a heavy duty psychiatric med that usually makes me sleep right through so its not usually a problem.
  22. Sometimes pee just happens. As long as the bed is protected I think theres no harm in it.
  23. I agree with this. I had nighttime bowel incontinence about a decade ago and it bothered me a lot more than bedwetting. It happened to me during the daytime too but I didnt pay a lots of attention until it started happening more at night. I went to several doctors before they figured out the problem that was actually caused by an overproduction of thyroid hormones so Ive had to take meds for that ever since. At least it stopped the nightly mess I had with loss of bowel control.
  24. I dont think Ive every seen that. Were these adult diapers? I worked years ago for a couple summers in a motel and they had wetting bedpad protection they would use when asked that was usually requested by parents. Ive seen and used adult diapers that are stacked in hospital rooms but never ran into this in a hotel. Not that I travel anymore I guess. Maybe things have changed?
  25. I wet when I was younger until puberty and then in my late teens and 20s when I was drinking a lot. And then I was dry for most of two decades but it started again. I think it was a change in meds that started it because I was on a different medical treatment. It became more regular and I just adjusted to it.
