I read a psychology article the other day that was talking about how common it is that children around the age of 5 to want to go back into nappies, around that age is the first real growing up a child does, starting school, expected to be more socially responsible and its often the time that parents begin to discipline child with full consequences for their actions. the conclusion of the article was that it would not be harmful to indulge the child (albeit for very short periods) as long as it is done in a constructive way and there is full understanding on both sides that it will be for so long and no longer etc. and the parents don't rely on it as a way to sort out their kids problems and don't allow the kids to rely on it as a regular fall back method. Of course I'm sure there is probably a similar article out there saying the exact opposite

ok I suffer really bad with insomnia, so the other night at about 3am I decided enough was enough so I typed insomnia cd into Google and found a website (non fetish) that does a whole range of self help hypnosis. I was about 7 when my parents relented and got me a bed, I was a bedwetter and my dad was in the army they would have got charged for stained mattresses on leaving married quarters so I slept in a crib till I was too big because it had a wipeable mattress, I didn't have to have the droppable side up but I used to pull it up myself because I liked it up

I wear Euron form briefs which are plastic backed before I could wear jeans over molicares and no-one could hear a thing but my mum commented the other day that I had that 'nappy sound' when I walked around

I've seen lots and lots of doctors over the last 10 years or so and what I find weird is I'll go through my medical history telling them everything they need to know about my incontinence and that it cant be fixed yet nearly all of them seem to be on a mission to cure it even though I have had every test under the sun and got nowhere they all go through the same list.......have you had this done have you had that done etc etc. I think there must be a prize up for grabs for the first doctor to cure incurable incontinence, it just seems weird that so many of them seem to obsess over it

I find that there is no in between the tapes either go right or go badly but mostly they go on right although that said its always better to be laying down to put them on

on the one hand I don't really believe this story but on the other I have had similar (non diaper related) issues in several stores it seems people think that they have some unwritten permission to voice their opinions and poke their noses into other peoples business.

sorry guys totally forgot to update you all got a letter from the hospital, it was the typical blah blah blah fest, busy night in the unit etc etc, staff now informed blah blah blah. Basically nothing I wasn't expecting, moral of the story I suppose if you come out of hospital with your arms and legs still attached then count yourself lucky and walk on LOL

TIP OF THE DAY: if your gonna use a banana as well as marshmallow to enhance the experience always remember to peel the banana first

actually since last Sunday I haven't used the toilet once and only used my nappy I usually have a BM first thing in the morning and I have been changing when I get round to it especially if I am doing something i'll finish that and then change.

compared to most here my system seems a lot more complex but I suppose mine is geared around everyday living as I am incontinent my aim is not to have my apartment smell like a public urinal.
