  1. Gerber never actually made adult sizes. VIP was started by former Gerber employeed who purchased the embossed plastic from Gerber and made the adult sizes. They finally went out of business when Gerber would no longer sell them the plastic. Fast forward to today, Gerber sells PEVA plastic pants for babies but no longer sells PVC baby pants.
  2. I'm sorry to all of you who have had trouble reaching us. We had a series of events unfold which were very unfortunate. We didn't intentionally ignore any email however it may have seemed that way. We had been neglecting updating our server which eventually snowballed into total failure. We got the server running piece meal. In the process we left the contact email exposed and were nearly instantly attacked by Russian Troll Bots. Thousands of emails poured in all with a .ru domain. Real mail was buried and lost in the volume. We even had one individual hack inside the email server and try to extort money. We instantly shut down and deleted the existing server. Lessons learned, 1, keep your software updated even if it's a little painful. 2. NEVER leave your email address exposed on a server. I have noticed that some of you, while haveing very good intentions, have posted our new support email on this server. We are currently getting some trash email but it is managable, Please don't help this way. The contact us page is very functional and prevents the attacks. I noticed that Daily Diapers has a very similar approach. If you have questions that are still not answered, please try again with the contact us page. Thank you for the opportunity to present this.
  3. A few notes to add to this thread. I'd like to thank all of you for giving our pants a try. We are having the blue star and pink star pants manufactured for us in China. We are working very closely with the manufacturer to improve quality. The side seam problem seems to be hit and miss. Too much heat and the seam is just a weak as not enough. However, we have a warranty on all of the "classic" pants that are manufactured by us. We do ask for a picture but there is no mailing, shipping or other hassles. Your size selections can be an issue with any plastic pant. We usually review your previous purchases and recommend a larger size if that appears to be an issue. Our warranty is posted on the website and we hope this gives you confidence to try them. We would also like to offer a tip that works with any plastic pant. We will replace any pant with a problem however we would like you to also try this tip for mending them. We would like to see you wear them rather than discard them in the landfill. Use a small bead of super glue on the flaps where the pant came apart. When pressing them together be very careful not to glue your fingers to the plastic. The super glue trick is instant and just as good as a new pant. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email us directly. Thank you.
  4. I prefer to not say bad things but I also don't like to watch a train wreck. We purchased a pair of these while surveying the market. What we got is very different than the pictures. First the pictures have these nice wide pockets you could put your hand in. What we got was difficult to put more than four fingers in...much smaller than the picture. All of the seams in the picture are double sewn which is standard for denim. What we got was single sewn and don't have the same appearance as the picture. The fabric is a blend with synthetics, which keeps them from shrinking much but it also makes them "crispy" and uncomfortable on baby legs. We specifically asked about the crotch snaps and were told "I have not had a problem with the poppers but I can put bigger ones on if you like and they are not hidden." Obviously no testing had been done with these because very light casual indoors use caused the "poppers" to open constantly. Only three hardware buttons used to close the sides were provided instead of the four in the picture. The strap hardware is totally unsuitable. This is not the conventional harware for onesies but rather snap onto the strap. The opening in the hardware is about 1.5 inches while the straps were over 2.75 inches which requires the strap to be bunched up in the hardware. The bib is too wide causing it to fold out from the body as can be seen in the picture. In our opinion this is a costume and not clothing. Our costume cost well over $100 with shipping. If we had bought this for anything more than a survey we would be very, very dissapointed. Oh, and George I love your picture. Looks like someone knows where to buy his frillies.
  5. PS. They have forward facing leg holes just like the Gary Manufacturing pants.
  6. Hi Stevie, These are definitely not the old VIP panties. VIP were PVC with a really nice textured milky white plastic. However they didn't have wide enough elastic and they always stretched out before they developed any holes or got brittle. Baby has been wearing them about 3 months now around the clock. They aren't like anything else I've ever experienced. I think he may be wearing them years after the testing completes. LOL.
  7. Is a NUK 5 large enough? What if you could get a slightly larger guard and maybe a 2.5" nipple. Is that too big or just right?
  8. Hi Christine, we have first hand experience with PEVA plastic panties. Specifically this is the same weight color and thickness as the Gerber PEVA panties. We have been testing them for months now and I think they are just fantastic. (of course I would) The material is a faintly translucent milky white color approximately 2 mils thick. This is roughly half the thickness of most of the Gary Manufacturing plastic pants. Even though it is thinner, early results from our testing is that they are stronger than the thicker PVC panties. They are very comfortable to wear with a flexible, soft, smooth surface. They have a very loud crinkle. It's impossible to move at all with out the crinkle. If you are familiar with the "Frosty Blue" PVC panties that are no longer available, these are louder and stay loud even with body heat warming them up. The sound is very reminiscent of the original plastic cover on disposable diapers from years ago. PEVA is an acronym for polyethylene vinyl acetate. While still a vinyl PEVA is non chlorinated. Chlorine is the source of environmental health concerns with PVC, such as the generation of dioxin, a highly carcinogenic chemical produced in both the manufacture and disposal of PVC. Due to is persistent and bio accumulative nature dioxin has become a global problem (it travels long distances without breaking down and concentrates as it moves up the food chain to humans) dioxin has become a global problem and an international treaty
  9. Hi Stevie, I just talked to the manufacturer and they will complete them on the 25th of September. It usually takes about 2 weeks for shipping after that. I am amazed by what we are seeing in testing them. You are really going to like these.
