  1. Wish I could help you. I have a bunch of lawyer friends, both in person and on another site, but them being in MI, they can't help your situation. Regulations vary by state, but some states have/allow "ask a lawyer" & "legal assistance" companies that assist in writing documents. Search to see if they are in your area.
  2. I can feel some of the pains above. Here in Michigan, it is the "Secretary of State" office. They have closed many offices but enlarged, streamlined, & "super stored" the remaining ones. They have "take a number" so one can sit & relax until their number is called instead of standing in a long line. Most offices now have a "greeter" at the "number ticket" machine. S/he will check all ones paperwork to make sure everything is in order to transact business. Saves waiting only to get to the window & find something's missing. Most wait times at the offices I & my family have used in the Metro Detroit area is between 10 & 20 minutes. Our D/L's, non driver State ID's, license plates, and CPL's (Concealed Pistol License, but that's another story.) all expire on ones birthday. Funny side note is that my brother's b'day is April 2nd and he was actually pulled over on the first one year to have his plate checked as he hadn't bought the current year's sticker yet. (Hey, I got one more day to comply. ) (Here in MI, we have "permanent" plates w/a roughly 1" square colored stick on tab in one corner to validate for the current year.) Fortunately, the State changed to b'day plate expirations sometime in the late '60's or early '70's. Prior to that, EVERYONE'S license plate expired on the last day of February. Obviously, that was in the days before computers & mail-in renewals. Can you imagine a building the size of your average convenience store, (7-11 etc,) jam packed w/people in line, going out the door, around the building, and halfway down the block in the middle of Winter? That was when they had to manually process everything and issue a complete new plate. Grrr.. Speaking of lavatory facilities, the new ones now have them, but many of the old ones did not have public facilities. My brother had his 2-3 yr old son w/him and practically begged the staff for the kid to use their restroom. It was after closing hours, so if they left to find a restroom elsewhere in the mall, they would not have been able to get back in. Finally, my brother told them if they couldn't use the restroom, he would instruct the kid to pee on the floor in a corner. He did, actually into a floor vent. Stupid people that can't understand/accommodate a little kids need to go. Oh yea, as someone said above, I don't have to worry about restroom facilities as I am wearing mine.

Hehe, another almost year old thread resurrected with pertinent info. Detroit here, but often in the "Sun Parlour" and/or "Tomato Capitol of Ca," AKA Leamington, Pointe Pelee area. Been to Sarnia, Strathroy, Grand Bend, Toronto, Chatham, and many others. Willing to travel if someone wants to get together.
  4. How about a link? http://www.dprtube.com doesn't get anywhere.

    Hi,

Welcome Craie. Insignificant, but just cool you joined on my birthday! Hope to get to know you better, (your posts only, not suggesting or insinuating anything else. lol) (As I've said before, I'm open to PM's if you/anyone has questions or wants to discuss our lifestyle privately.)
  6. Since this almost year old thread has been resurrected, I will add my dime's worth. That's 2 cents worth adjusted for inflation. Since the OP, Baby Michelle has pretty much validated herself as one of us. The point/suggestion I want to make is that cabs can be your friend. I'm currently not driving due to certain problems, so I have called cabs to take me on errands and to the drugstore to buy diapers. The drivers don't question me on the large bags, (especially if double bagged, hiding the contents,) and it's simply another stop before heading back home.
  7. Still living w/parents suks. Hope you have a great weekend! Wishing you the best until you can find a SO and/or can move out on your own.
  8. Filling my diapers both ways while reading & posting here in current 'real time.'
  9. Trust me, been there done that you will get used to it. The shyness and 'embarrassment' will go away. I see you're in BC. If you and your boyfriend ever get to SW Ontario, give me a holler. (Leamington, Point Pelee, Pelee Island, and other areas are popular tourist destinations. [As I have said in other threads, I have a place in Leamington, so we could possibly meet up])
  10. Wear what you want when you want. As one suggested above, wearing a boy cut/boxer short type of panty girdle, as I do, will do wonders to keep the noise down and keep the diapers up when full. Two incidents of many; I was laid off & living in a trailer park. A casual friend stopped by wanting to take me to lunch at the Playboy Club. I should have blown him off as I was very wet & messy, but the Playboy Club was too much to pass up. I made him wait outside while I cleaned up, showered, and put on a fresh diaper. The other one was when I was headed to the community showers at our cabin* in just a bathrobe and super full & messy diapers. I had to wait until one was available, then a friend came out & we started talking. Walked back over near my place, me trying to stay upwind from him, and talked for an hour or more while I continued to wet & mess. I'm pretty sure he never noticed. *Our 'campground' consists of 60+ units that are nothing more than 12'x16' & larger 'tents' that have grown to be hard walled & shingle roofed 'cottages.' We have community lavatories in one building, and two community showers in another.
  11. I don't know if it will help, but often pics from 'DD updates' end up on the "gallery." I don't know how to link it, so go to DD's homepage & click "galleries." Should find what you want there.
  12. You & your grandma have my best wishes & prayers for her to pull through.
  13. A little hard to think about or schedule any meet ups when you give no indication of your location.
  14. FYI it is never a good idea to post emails, (or phone numbers,) on open to the world sites like this. Bots troll sites and then create spam. Put your numbers & emails in your profile where only registered & logged in users can access them.
  15. Been there, done that. I got in minor trouble for setting off an M-80 in my school's ventilation system. Echoed throughout a third of the school.
  16. Interesting theory, but from my experience, one would need about a six foot thick diaper for that to happen.
  17. My thoughts are. Best to you & hope to see you back soon. P.S. I like your sig line. Although I'm not taken, (widowed,) I agree w/the rest.
  18. I see your point, but most of the first 3-4 pages of google refer back to "Bob." Not arguing here. I see where you have have seen him called "Bobby." Until now, and I've known him & his work for years, this is the first time I've seen him called "Bobby."
  19. to several comments above. I voted "not enough." As S_D said; "...whats with the "girls best friend" Is that some kind of explosive??" ?? Sorry, I've kinda been re-living my youth in my last few posts and this is another one. Back in the mid '50's, my (Detroit,) YMCA had summer road trips. One was to Leamington Ontario to tour the Heinz plant. My mother & I had pre-arranged to make it a full day. (We have a cottage there so we met up with the group at Heinz. [it was our week there as we rotated every other week with us staying one week, and my grandma staying the other week, and everyone there on weekends]) After the morning tour, we went to the park for lunch & games. We then headed out to the dock to see the lake & the ferry loading as most of the group had never seen a big lake or ferry. Well, we only got as far as the base of the dock because everyone found out about, and started buying, fireworks that were unavailable in MI. The leaders couldn't stop them, so they said if the kids wanted to buy them, they had to allow the leaders to set them off. Worked out quite well. Time came to board the bus for home. The second or third kid on the bus had suspiciously bulging pockets, the leaders stopped him and found a ton of fireworks which they confiscated. Everyone was then practically 'strip searched' and had all fireworks confiscated. Since we, my mom, brothers & me were "living" there, we got all the confiscated fireworks which amounted to three and a half big brown shopping bags worth. Had a fun summer setting them off every so often.
  20. This may or may not be germane to the topic as I have no video or pictures to post, but I used to watch steam engines all around the Detroit/Windsor & Leamington area. One of the coolest was to watch the smoke approaching the bridge I was on over the tracks, then the gap for the bridge before continuing on. One of my relatives near Kingston, Ont, CA had tracks running about 30 yards behind the house. We used to go out & stand about five feet away and watch them go by and did the 'up/down' arm motion to get them to blow the horn. I have traveled many times from Detroit to Kingston on steam trains, again, wish I had pictures. This was back in the day when they originated at the Grand Trunk station, (located on the waterfront where the NE towers of the RenCen now stand.) We would the be ferried across the river to Windsor, stop at the Windsor station, then the Walkerville station, (behind/in the middle of, the Hiram Walker/Canadian Club Whiskey plant,) then get on our way. Today, everything has been changed or razed up to the Walkerville station which is now the point of origin. (For what is now called 'VIA Rail.')
  21. Being half Canadian, I thank you and also thank you on behalf of the other Canadians here. Since it is now late on the fourth, hope everyone had a great Canada Day & Fourth of July! BTW, I don't quite understand your comment; Could you expand on what you mean? Is the maple leaf a downer or what? It appears you may be too young to remember when the Canadian flag contained part of the British Union Jack.
