  1. As for diaper punishment, that can get quite fun. I'll think of some punishments for you maybe. While the link to that website the op posted made me laugh a bit, its application should be limited because they usually don't work in real life. That DUI driver will get drunk tomorrow regardless of what you show him, because he needs psychological help, something many states here in the US forget. I was surprised to learn this, but approximately 64 percent of the jail population have symptoms of serious mental illnesses.
  2. Liberals do similar things like passing laws that require condoms to be used while on set. Both sides of the political spectrum try to kill porn in their own way, so no need to go there. My thought on the topic is whether or not it is wrong depends entirely up to you. I assume you have a set of principles that you live by that no one but yourself can change. Look deeply at these principles, decide if porn can adversely affects these principles and go from there. You shouldn't let other people decide for you.
  3. Summertime is right. As a scientist, I know how important it is to respect other peoples' thoughts and beliefs (not saying I'm perfect), because guess who controls the funding, a politician. Characters like Richard Dawkins make us all look like douche bags and I think it is the wrong approach, because the only people you are going to convince are the people who already have the same opinion as you. Therefore, people like Richard Dawkins polarize the public rather than bring everyone together for the common good to solve problems, which is what a scientist should do.
  4. People should know that that is not the purpose of religion. Religion cannot describe physical reality. Like I said, there is no proof that Jesus existed. What I am trying to tell you is you can think of religion as a story in a book with interesting plots that get you thinking about yourself and how you act. That's what most people do. It is certainly not the best tool for that, but it is popular in culture.
  5. Only the reactive type of person would excuse themselves in such ways. Religion should teach you that you are response able and that you have the ability to choose your own consequences, though sometimes they don't, but that is my point. If I was into religion, I would preach "God opens the door, but you must walk through it" or something like that. I believe some of the stories in the bible are about this very idea, which should be the meaning they are really trying to convey and teach. If religion didn't exist people would just use another stupid excuse, so I hardly think the thing you mention is religion's fault.
  6. I think you just used a poor choice of words in the comment above. When you said morals, you probably meant principles. No one should be judged by anyone's morality, otherwise we would all go to prison.
  7. My point was in relation to our own prejudices and value systems, which often get us into trouble.
  8. That's because in the US, doctors are paid by the pharmaceutical companies to prescribe their drugs. I have seen the cost of this first hand. For the topic, you have to look at depression as a mental illness like PTSD. I have never had depression before, but from what I have gathered from people who have had is it can have nothing to do with what other people think of you or other external forces. It seems largely internal like being sick, but beyond that I don't really get it. It does seem to correlate with mental trauma. These events that cause the trauma might affect the brain in such a significant way as to change the brain's chemistry. A quick glance at the ABDL population would have you believe that many became interested in diapers as a way to gain something they never had growing up, innocence. As a result of such childhood trauma that is related to some ABs interests in diapers, it stand to reason that the same trauma can cause depression, or at least make you more susceptible to certain triggers.
  9. Lol, there it is again, thoroughly bashing there own, then saying "to each their own". I agree that McDonald's is bad for you, but what are you going to accomplish.
  10. Yes, I still really want to see them, but they are illusive.
  11. Lol, you can't say "to each their own" after thoroughly bashing "their own". It would be like saying to someone who enjoys Rugrats "Based on watching the worst episode, I can tell Rugrats suck more than any TV show out there.
  12. There is also a shortage in the STEM fields. Medical research is a big driver. Even what I do is partially motivated by medical applications, but there are many challenges we need to overcome both technological and social. This can range from anything to education reform and clean water production to energy storage and production. My best advice is to pick one you really care about, find out what you can do to help fix the problem, then persue it and you should do well. Employers are really looking to hire principle driven people, not mindless cogs in a machine trying to get the big bucks or just scraping by to get to tonight's pleasure, despite what you look like on paper. In summary, always begin with the end in mind with what ever you persue.
  13. Perhaps diapers are universal, perhaps they are not.
  14. Oh no, I recommend you actually confront the individual/individuals that are making the safety violation as soon as you see it happen and tell them what they are doing wrong for the safety of everyone there. They may not like bring told, but you can be saving their life. Sure, you put your neck out a little being in the vicinity of these people, but safety should be the number one priority when it comes to anything like this, whether it is guns, chemicals, heavy machinery, etc.
  15. Yep. I'll see it, but with Disney's acquisition of the series, a company whose a large percentage of profits come from copy rights, I'm expecting the movie to be flashy with no substance.
  16. Not if you are trying to get into a good school.
  17. With everything else that is wrong with McDonalds, it's funny when people complain about the extra charge on sauces like that is the straw that broke the camel's back.
  18. He could even be in college, but it wouldn't stop a helicopter parent from checking anyway, lol.
