  1. According to science it's the anticipation that drives our enjoyment: http://www.livescience.com/9815-vacations-boost-happiness.html
  2. I would like to be changed by my girlfriend, and to get her into diapers. Unfortunately, she's very vanilla. As far as a celebrity fantasy goes, I think I'd like to be diapered by Sarah McLachlan.
  3. Fun fact: Most itching powders contain tarantula hair as an active ingredient.
  4. Sometimes I like to wear panties into the shower and wet them before getting under the water. It's an easy thrill to get if I'm in the mood. As for just peeing in the shower, I do it during most of my showers. I feel less wasteful if I pee while I'm already using water, rather than wasting however much is in the toilet tank. I don't do it if I'm showering with my girlfriend. She's not into it and it would be disrespectful. As for all the people that are so quickly to call people who deny shower peeing liars, have you considered that maybe they're telling the truth? Not all people are as accepting of urine as diaper fetishists, and I don't find it all that hard to believe that most people aren't willing to pee into the shower.
  5. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, thanks for sharing!

    Too Much?

I work in a violent city, and it was fun to listen to the cops respond to the "shots fired" complaints all weekend. Some of the ghetto kids were able to put on a pretty good show too. I had fun watching and listening to the police band. Just to let anyone curious know, only two people actually got shot. All the rest were fireworks.
  7. I would love to start my own business, but there are a limited number of things I'm qualified for, and the market for any of them is very tight right now. For now I'll keep working for The Man and be ready for any opportunities that present themselves.
  8. I agree wholeheartedly. No car manufacturer makes a car that will suit everybody. I have heard good and bad stories about every car in production today. Personally I love my Tacoma and would kill for a Hilux stateside.
  9. Some of this is people being oversensitive, but some definitely is not. Lead paint has no place on toys that are going into children's mouths, and washing your hands after certain activities (using the bathroom, handling money, etc.) prevents outbreaks of certain preventable diseases like hepatitis A. I wouldn't expect a sterile environment in a restaurant, but they certainly should maintain a level of cleanliness.
  10. Just like chum in a shark tank it's always entertaining. Like has been said before, it comes down to what works for you. Go to XPMedical and Bambino and order samples, and do your own testing. Samples have a relatively expensive per diaper cost, but unless you've got more resources than me it's a good way to compare diapers for yourself, without having to buy entire bags.
  11. I'm a career dead thread reviver.
  12. CT is the same way you describe greater Chicagoland. I can think of a half dozen small towns in all of CT that don't have at least one DD. Most larger towns and cities have several, my town has seven.
  13. So much for American Runs On Dunkin. I think New England might run on it, though I personally don't like their coffee.
  14. XPMedical has sample packs of a few popular brands. http://xpmedical.com/samples.html Bambino also offers samples, just click on any product line. As far as going into stores, it depends on what's in your area. Around me everyone carries Depends, and the medical supply stores carry Prevail or Dignity, neither of which I like.
  15. This is the funniest thread I've read in awhile. While my handle may seem unoriginal to the casual observer, I often use DB (my initials) in my handle on other boards, and adding DL to it for this board just seemed to make sense. I kept it generic intentionally, because I don't like to get too descriptive on any message board, especially one that could be as potentially embarrassing as this one if outed. This may be a moot point soon anyway. Cybersecurity Measures Will Mandate Government “ID Tokens
  16. My grandmother had to diaper her dog when she became incontinent. After awhile, she came to terms with her dog reaching it's end of life and did the humane thing. She was an old dog and it was hard to let go, but the poor dog was miserable.
  17. You were taught how to do this? I thought masturbating was supposed to be a trial and error thing?
  18. I'm glad you had a good experience with them. The only reason I go to Walmart is because they're open 24 hours a day, and when you want Lucky Charms at 0300, nothing else will do. What kind of panties did you get?
  19. I think, mxgangrel, you have it backwards. A man who is in fight mode is more likely to have an erection than one who is in flight mode.
  20. I know I'm going to receive a lot of flack for this comment, but I'm willing to take it to voice my opinion. Gender roles exist for a reason. There, I've said it. Men and women are different. Personally I think the best people for certain jobs, like firefighters, police officers, construction workers, etc, should be six and a half feet tall and able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. A good female friend of mine is a firefighter, and even though she's in great shape, she struggles with some of the physical aspects of the job. She's only 5'6" tall, and simply does not have the muscle mass to pull a charge 2.5" line up a flight of stairs as easily as some of her male counterparts can. Women come preprogrammed to do certain other jobs better. One reason why women secretaries (administrative assistants, sorry) are still prevalent is because of their ability to multitask, something which most men lack to ability to do. You can point a man at a job and he'll give it his entire focus, but it often takes a woman to coordinate all the small tasks that make the job possible in the first place. This is one reason women are great at child rearing. So maybe the reason people feel more comfortable with women taking care of their young children is because we're coded to believe they should. We see men taking care of children and something inside us rebels at the thought, not necessarily that we think they're a pedophile, but we just have an innate sense of wrongness.

    Accident.

I've been in more than my share of motorcycle crashes. Some were my fault, because I like to fuck around on my motorcycles, but all the crashes involving other vehicles were the fault of the other driver. The left turn crash mentioned by a couple other people has a couple contributing factors to it. A solo motorcycle puts up a very small profile to oncoming traffic, small enough that sometimes you just can't be seen around the A-post of the other driver's car, even when they are paying full attention. Also, it's difficult for other drivers to judge the speed of such a small vehicle, just like people can't accurately judge the speed of large vehicles, ie trains. A lot of people give me that "loud pipes save lives" crap, but it horse shit. Helmets and armor save lives. That comes from my experience as a paramedic for the last ten years. If you're a motorcyclist on here, the best thing I (or anyone) can tell you is take a MSF RiderCourse, wear your helmet, and ride defensively, especially if you have anything to live for.
  22. Coffee and books are two of my favorite smells in the world. I don't like any of the commonly available coffees, though, I prefer to brew my own. At the risk of sounding like an infomercial, I'd recommend the Aeropress by Aerobie for any coffee drinkers out there. $25 plastic coffee maker makes the best coffee I've ever had. As for coffee grounds absorbing odors, a friend of mine is an emergency nurse, and he tells me they leave a packet of coffee grounds in the rooms of their smelliest patients, including unwashed drunks and GI bleeds. Works wonders.

    Periods

I've had sex with all but one of my partners while on their periods, and the ones that are willing say it does a lot toward easing their symptoms. A couple said it was the best sex they've ever had, thanks to being extra sensitive. As for the one who wouldn't have sex while on her period, like sarah_ab said it just wasn't something she was into while menstruating.
  24. Some people here are describing feeling bad after some severe stressors enter their life, such as losing a job, or a spouse, etc. That's perfectly normal. It's the people like DD who are describing the symptoms without any proximate cause that worry me. If something is keeping you down, that can be addressed much more easily than if there is nothing you can pinpoint making you feel lousy. I occasionally belong to the second group. You can't just "decide to be happy." If it was that easy the problem wouldn't be so pervasive. As for the people who have had bad reactions to certain medications, it happens. Nothing works perfectly for everyone, and there are a lot of anti-depressants out there that have the potential to work better for you. Not seeing your doctor again after one bad experience isn't helping you. Drynot mentioned testosterone. Funny story: One time I was feeling very depressed, and I was doing what I do every time I feel depressed, sitting in my room and reading. I decided to read Fight Club, and decided that doing something manly would help me feel better. Not knowing where I could find someone to fight I went to the gym, and after lifting weights for about an hour, and really pushing myself, I felt quite a lot better. After doing a little research I determined it was due to the hormone boosting effects of exercise. Interesting how a proper diet and exercise really will cure a lot of problems.
  25. Around here adults are "cleaned up." I agree that language is curious. Same idea as here, covering up something that's uncomfortable for you to talk about it by disguising it with euphemisms. Maybe a bit of a drastic example, but I think it's basically the same.
