  1. My favorite part about being an adult is independence--the fact that I can get in my car and drive where I want, can shop for myself, and work toward my own goals. I also love being able to drink (though not all the time) and having great, intelligent conversations. My favorite part about being diapered (and occasionally little) is the sense of intimacy and release. To know that I'm not in boxers and can just relax at night with a diaper while I'm in bed. Since I diaper up late at night when everyone else has gone to bed, I like to just lie in my room with the lights off, half-dreaming and totally secure.
  2. I second that. I like how the article took the feelings of both partners into account and how awkward it can be for both sides.
  3. This is an interesting story. Good pacing, nice buildup. Sarah seems like a really nice but believable sister. Keep it up!
  4. Most to all of the diaper stories I write are from the perspective of female characters or consist of an all-female cast. Partly, I find it's because I tend to fantasize more about women than I do about men, so it's easier for me to write a diaper-based story involving female characters. In my non-ABDL writings, however, I do write more male protagonists, although I've also written female characters and gotten good feedback about them as well. In my case, I've struggled to actually get my male characters down right because, more often than not, they end up becoming either Gary Stus or guys with no real personality other than to be an author stand-in surrounded by far more interesting and complex characters. This occurs in both my regular and ABDL stories, and while I've started to get better with writing male leads in my regular stories, I still haven't figured it out in my diaper fiction.
  5. When I was first getting into my diaper fetish in middle school and high school, I went on the usual binge/purge cycle, feeling great in diapers and then ashamed, then seeking out substitutes, and so on. I came to terms with my fetish in my early twenties and since then, I've learned to manage my need to wear. I've especially had to reduce my time in diapers since spending money is an issue now, but that only makes me cherish my time wearing diapers all the more.

    Sally Field

I guess I'd go with Stockard Channing or Holly Hunter.
  7. I'd want Rachel McAdams for my Mommy, and I have to agree with the girls, I'd take Johnny Depp for a Daddy without hesitation. ---
  8. I go by Q-Vice on Fetlife. Feel free to add me, chat with me, do whatever you like with me...
  9. Nice development! Can't wait to read more!
  10. Actually, that would have been tame compared to what Cartman really did.
  11. Since I only wear once I'm in bed, I'll sometimes do this when it gets cold at night. But yes, I feel so much like a little kid when I do it. Might as well be the standard dress code for AB/DLs.
  12. That was a nice story, Alyssa. I liked the pacing and the tone, particularly. Hope to see more of your work soon!
  13. I just felt a little displaced when I read the first paragraph. After a few rereads, it's not so bad, and the rest of what you've written more than makes up for it, anyway.
  14. I like the premise a lot. My only concern (and it's pretty minor) is that the opening paragraph changes tone a little too quickly. The thunderstorm and waking-up-wet feeling go well together, but then it digresses into why she's incontinent and it just drops me out of the story for a bit. But otherwise, it's a great start and I hope to see more!
  15. Technically, I started with baby diapers, but when I couldn't get them for a while, I would use maxi pads. I'll always remember this one commercial I saw when I was about eleven or twelve for a new line of thin pads, which had the line, "You're still using pads? Aren't those like diapers?" In my mind, the answer was, "Yes. Yes, they are."
  16. I think there's a fine balance between getting emotionally involved with your characters. On the one hand, you should care deeply about them because it'll show in your writing and hopefully will cause your audience to care just as deeply, too. On the other hand, you do have to hurt and torment your characters a little because then we'll want to see them overcome their pain and setbacks. Stories that feature no conflict at all, or continual setbacks with no hope of a happy ending or resolution, just aren't that satisfying. Looking back, I think I learned this after I wrote my story "Claire Continued." Although I cared about the characters, I'd already put them through a lot in my previous story, and in this one I didn't really give them any long-term conflict or struggle (certainly nothing that couldn't be resolved in a chapter or two). Same thing happened again in "Staying Up With Mel." Point is, you should care enough to want to see your characters to overcome whatever obstacles you put in their way.
  17. FYI, here are just a few of the anime series I'm contemplating writing diaper fics for: Planetes Neon Genesis Evangelion Noir Fooly Cooly (FLCL)
  18. Well, I'm not sure it qualifies as "good" summer reading, but I'm in the middle of Against The Day by Thomas Pynchon. The thing about Pynchon is that, while he's funny, inventive, and well-researched, the book is over a thousand pages long and some sections are so cryptic that you need Wikipedia on hand if you're reading for the first time. If you're looking for less headache-inducing material, I could suggest these titles: Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut Neuromancer by William Gibson Zorro by Isabelle Allende Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card
  19. After struggling for a long while with coming up with a new and original diaper story, I've come to realize that none of the situations or characters are ones that really grab me--not like how the interaction between Claire and her nieces did in the "Life With Claire" stories or between Julia and Elizabeth in "Forever Young." So what I have decided on--for the time being, anyway--is a new direction. I've gotten into a lot of anime these past few months and, IMO, gotten a good feel for their characters, their plots, and their style. So I'm thinking about writing for Daily Diapers a series of one-shot anime fanfics where diapers and AB/DL themes. But what do you, readers and fellow writers, think?
  20. Good interview and great pics. It seems like you've really done well for yourself. Congrats!
  21. Thanks for the advice, fulldiaper. I'll be sure to take it into consideration, though at this point I have no idea if I'll ever get this story started (or what its final form will be). But who knows, maybe it'll all work out.
