  1. Yep, and I won't argue that it isn't awesome, but the fantasy > the reality.
  2. Well, having a fetish in common isn't having all that much in common at all. I have fun posting here, but it's been my experience that the more 'intellectual'(that is not to say 'intelligent', what I mean is that things like sexual fetishes are usually a matter of simple urge, whereas an interest in something like camping, reading, hang-gliding, or anything else which requires at the least a desire to develop a skill/knowledge, even if it's an entirely athletic endeavor) the binding element of a social group is, the more that the members of that group have in common. So, I guess ON-TOPIC, I would say that fetishists have little in common with other fetishists.
  3. How can you possibly disagree with that this is the case when he himself is telling you it is? Does identity not arise from the individual? Can't a person decide what defines and identifies them as a person? He's set it out as something that he wants out of life. That is to say, he wants a partner that is fully accepting of this behavior, not merely tolerant. You really shouldn't just dismiss this as him being mistaken. It's never going to go away and his resentment and lack of fulfillment are only going to grow with time.
  4. I'm getting hot just thinking about the TSA running a hand up my leg and finding a diaper.
  5. The closet cases seem to be pretty successful. To the OP: This survey is terrible though, I understand that it's a matter of 'which one suits you best,' but even then it's ridiculous. Q14: A) I insist on getting the respect that is due to me I usually get the respect I deserve It's extremely likely that most people will want to choose both, and neither disqualifies the other. Q21: A) I always know what I a doing Sometimes I am not sure what I am doing This is pretty much just checking to see who is lying. NOBODY knows what they are doing ALL THE TIME. It is human nature to act impulsively and without thought at least occasionally. Q24: A) I expect a great deal from other people I like to do things for other people Again, I feel equally as strong about both. Also, I would be willing to bet that those who are the most giving also tend to be those who are the most expectant of a return from their investment. NOBODY likes helping other people thanklessly in the long run. Sure, you might be the sort of person who is naturally inclined toward service, but any serious relationship(friendship, romantic, family, otherwise) that you hold with another human being is going to demand a great deal of reciprocity if it's going to last. Q34: A) I am going to be a great person I hope I am going to be successful Not only are these not mutually exclusive, they are mutually inclusive. There's more, but I would exhaust myself typing it all out. You need to go back and rework this survey, because it's more or less absolutely worthless as a psychometric. I really don't see how any of this holds water. There are numerous female posters on this website. Not just trannies either, numerous genetic females post on this website.
  6. For every one that gets caught, imagine the countless that get away!
  7. All of the above except for barbs, ether, and inhalants. I had a period of heavy usage, but now I'm sober at least six days out of seven. I don't really consider drug use a bad thing unless the person using the drugs is stupid and reckless.
  8. I'm pretty much on the same page waynecook52 is. Grown people wearing diapers is so far off of most people's radar they don't even know what they are looking at when they see it. The world doesn't care and this isn't some sort of a civil rights movement we're part of.
  9. This analogy never really sat right with me on the basis that changing genders doesn't necessarily mean that you lose functions relevant to daily living. The other thing is that there are some pretty good theories baked up for how the etiologies behind many forms of transsexualism can be linked to natal cross-sex hormone levels. At the very least, all humans are some combination of male and female, even if the vast majority of humans have a distinct genotype, nearly every phenotype falls into a graduated spectrum between the two polarities set forward. Speaking as somebody with some pretty intense invalidity fantasies and as post-op MtF transsexual who's been living full-time for five years. I'm very much into pretending, but I honestly can't imagine how anyone can try to draw the condition as analogous to transsexualism. In fact, it sounds very much like the kind of mockery that somebody who was attacking transsexualism would conjure up(e.g. the episode of southpark where everybody thinks they are a black/a dolphin/etc 'on the inside.' Then again, I have to admit that I find the idea that one's very soul(assuming one exists at all) can be disabled to be terribly offensive from a philosophical standpoint(not a personal one mind you, heck I wouldn't mind knowing more pretenders IRL, even if they do consider it something more than pretending). I mean, as far as the whole 'not me' part goes, pretty much everybody who ascribes to a mind-body dualism looks at their whole body and says 'not me.' I mean heck, there are people who want to look prettier, wish they didn't have love handles, hate their stretch marks, so on and so forth. I mean heck, why does it have to be about a 'soul thing' at all? I mean, if you just plain want to cut your left leg off for whatever reason imaginable, more power to you. And to be clear, I think that the whole 'x trapped in y body' is a load of malarky coming from transsexuals as well. The actual situation is a lot more complex and that's more or less an over simplified tagline that many put out there in hopes that other people will find it to be a better justification than 'I want to do it and I've wanted to for my whole damned life, so piss off.'
  10. It's more like a pamphlet than a book.
  11. Additives aren't forced into tobacco by the FDA, as there are a number of additive free brands of cigarette and cigar alike. Additives are a proprietary measure that 'improve' the taste and make people hooked to the brand instead of tobacco at large. Doubly confusing is KittenAB's claim that the FDA mandates the addition of preservatives to any consumable product sold in the United States. There are countless organic food products which are sold entirely unadulterated, they simply need to be labeled as such. I honestly don't see why anybody would be against legalizing it in a manner similar to alcohol. Set up state bureaus which regulate and license people to sell, prohibit use in public, prohibit driving under the influence, and prohibit the sale to minors. KittenAB, the idea that you think people should be incarcerated because certain elements supporting legalization get your hackles up is baffling. An allergic reaction to an inhaled agent is going to result in anaphylaxis, not nausea and a headache. It's more likely that he has a hypersensitivity to the drug. It's really of no relevance whether or not it harms those around the smoker if you prohibit it's use in public places. People also seem to classically neglect that marijuana can be ingested orally or vaporized, in which case there is no second-hand effect at all.
  12. I'm about positive that people have noticed, as I've been rather conspicuous about it a few times. That said, people were either unsure of what they were seeing or just too polite to react. You would be surprised at how many people don't know a diaper when they see it. It's all about context. I have gotten on a number of camsites that were not diaper related hoping to catch a bit of humiliation for my trouble, but instead I just get a big crowd of people saying 'nice panties.'
  13. Finasteride only blocks the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone. It's worthless for anything other than preventing hair loss or coarse hair growth, and even then it might hurt more than it helps. It doesn't reduce overall serum testosterone levels As a matter of fact, finasteride can INCREASE serum testosterone levels in those who have low testosterone counts: http://cat.inist.fr/?aModele=afficheN&cpsidt=15249285. GnRH agonists are prohibitively expensive. I mean give me a break, it's like 500 dollars after insurance for a shot of lupron. Even now, I still take 1mg of estrogen a day. This is a standard dosage for hormone replacement therapy in post-menopausal women. What do you speak of when you refer to 'dual anti-androgen medications?' The only drug approved for that use in the United States is spironolactone. As for the whole 'informed consent' thing, people are going to tell the shrink what they think they shrink wants to hear. I don't believe that it's possible to stop somebody from doing it if they really want to, therapy or not. I've also commented a number of times that I do not feel that any reason is more legitimate than any other reason. I know a number of people that many would refer to as autogynephiliacs who have been successfully transitioned for years. Why would we be more likely to run across these people if we self administer? I like how catty that response was. Or should I say Katty? nyuk nyuk nyuk I think I figured your numbers so low because I take 17β sublingually, not ethinyl orally. The journal you reference also makes no mention of finasteride, so I am unsure as to why you would recommend it wholesale.
  14. I don't even bother with the gallery. It's a lot more fun to post them on the forums. I have yet to get a complaint.
  15. 100mg of spiro is low, and 500ug of estrogen is ultra low. When I was still in full swing of HRT I took 4mg of estradiol + 150mg of spironolactone a day. It cost 10.99 a month for estrogen and something like 25 dollars for the spiro, don't recall exactly. Got it from Walgreen's, the prices were quite suitable if you pay the like $20 a year to join the prescription plan. I advise pretty much everybody to start ordering off the internet THEN see a therapist, especially if you have tried to see a therapist and they dicked around about it. If I hadn't of taken things into my own hands I probably wouldn't have started until several years later, christ knows how badly that would have fucked up my life, probably wouldn't pass seemlessly if I hadn't taken some personal initiative.
  16. The phenomenon described by the person who wrote the article is true in some places. It's not all that unusual that patients who are unable to ambulate will be put into diapers for the convenience of staff. There are also some nursing homes which have sweeping policies that affect everyone there, it really all comes down to the director of the home.
  17. CD, rapid fire appeal to authority topped off with 'I am older than you so nana nana boo boo' is poor form. Why is it that every post you write on this forum is either an attempt to further your agenda of originalism or prove to the rest of us that you exist on a higher plane of intellect? You made your point quite clearly the first time around, reiterating it in a highly confrontational manner is moot. Beyond that, persuasion by way of argument only works on a small portion of the population to begin with. I find it interesting that you would make an appeal to life experience when that fact seems to have escaped you. People, for the most part, do not draw their system of values from any sort of concrete rationale, and thus attempting to turn over their values with anything like reason is utterly worthless.
  18. Molicare classics are very thin, virtually silent, and hold probably twice as much as depends.
  19. It wasn't entirely unnecessary to defend yourself like that when I explicitly said the comment wasn't aimed at you. Sorry you took it as some sort of sarcastic catty remark in spite of my caveat. I personally think that the current system of vocational rehabilitation is crap, because it isn't at the center of the disability program, it's an afterthought.
  20. I would file the OP under 'fiction.' I mean come on, how many times has he rehashed this thread? It's getting boring...
  21. We should all be ashamed and utterly secretive about anything sexual! Enjoy your time in the fortress of solitude guys, I'm no worse off for being caught by my family. It honestly relieved a great deal of pressure to know that they could still respect me after that even. I probably wouldn't be the sort of parent who dug through my kid's stuff to the extent that I would find anything like this out. On the other hand, I would probably try to cultivate an attitude of openness about sex in the home so that my kids could trust my word on such matters. It only makes sense to me that I would rather have them come to me for such information instead of just picking up on one culturally entrenched myth after another from their peers/porn/internet/television. Not that there is anything wrong with them looking into those sources TOO, but having an extra resource to call on couldn't hurt imo.
  22. As I stated in the other thread, I'm going to wear diapers and opt-out of the scan the next time I go flying. I eagerly look forward to the look on the face of whoever is patting me down when they notice that I'm wearing too. But, I'm a wild pervert with no medical problems, so it's really no sacrifice for me. But, from a less self-centered/perverted view, I think people should opt out anyway. I really don't feel that it's safe to be scanned by one of those things, the radiation output has been lied about numerous times and I sincerely doubt that they are a safe thing to subject yourself to regularly. Privacy be damned, I don't want to get cancer as a result of getting shot with that thing a thousand times over the course of my lifetime.
