  1. I am incontinent now 24/7 in diapers for both my bowels and pee. I still have some control but been 24/7 10 months now and so happy. I love my diapers more with each passing week! Now I’m on a business trip and it’s no big deal to wear diapers and I can go about my day without worrying about darting off the bathroom unless I’m stinky of course!
  2. @DLJeff52 nice update! The tykables snappies are the best. I love reading all the details and we have a lot in common I think. My journey is progressing along similarly to yours. I’m at 9 months now 24/7 but will use the toilet only if extremely convenient (getting out of the shower and BM attacks) or while I’m changing with up upset stomach and rash. I’ve travelled a bunch for weeks at a time (family trip to Europe, family trip Skiing, Camping with friends, multiple overnights with friends, 3 Business Conferences, many close client meetings) and have navigated everything well. I’m not as religious as you to not holding it but just not caring as much if you will and relaxing when I think about it. I use a NorthShore supreme for work, an incontrol hybrid for if I’m casual, and have been experimenting with larger than rearz medium diapers for nightime. I got cloth tenas in Europe because that’s all I could find and they work great for exercising! I don’t wear plastic pants exercising but wear NorthShore pants medium during the day and large at night. I always use a booster unless I’m wearing a Trest. Just went to Changing Times Diaper Company yesterday and got a bunch of samples for nightime diapers. The booster helps a lot I think with leaks. CDTC is in Las Vegas like 10 mins from the strip and the owners are amazing. I got some pajamas and other items that were more little than before and I’m enjoying it. This sounds totally different than you but my wife also encouraged me to buy a pink frilly baby dress to wear with my pink diapers I sometimes wear so that’s interesting! Like you, Cleanup from BMs can be nasty but overall no big deal. I use the NorthShore wipes and almost always change over a toilet. I’ll try and shake or scoop some out with TP if close quarters bathroom. I use TP for the first few wipes and switch to wipes. I’ve heard that the flushable wipes can still clog up plumbing especially in septic pumps if you weren’t aware. I usually just toss my wipes into the diaper and single or double bag it in a heaven scent. The diet thing is so important. When I’m not traveling I always eat oatmeal in the morning, a yogurt or apple snack, and for lunch bananas almonds and pure cranberry juice mixed with water. I eat whatever for dinner but definitely eat less red meat now. My weights still the same because I need to be more careful with sweets. Keep the updates coming! You can do this!! The finish is close and we support your new goals!!!
  3. Interesting theory and not sure what happened in olden days but potty training two kids since 2016 both were 2-3 when potty trained. I also volunteer in the schools (ages2-5) and can affirm the same with others. I doubt my demographic is special in any way due to the diversity in my area. Not sure where your facts come from but they aren’t accurate at all here. Here’s an article as a reference but my experience working with the actual subject at hand is all the proof I need. Surely there are many people in the small sample on this board with other experiences but that is the exception not the rule. https://www.healthline.com/health/parenting/average-age-for-potty-training#readiness-signs “Most children start working on this skill between 18 months and 3 years of age. The average age of potty training falls somewhere around 27 months.”
  4. I have flown many times since going 24/7. Most recently last week. Body scanners at Heathrow showed the yellow mass in my crotch. I told him I wore nappies. No big deal. Until they found the knife in my carry-on but they let me go, after calling the police and adding me on some checklist. Diapers OK. Knifes not OK. Locking blade knives, and slingshots are illegal in the UK btw, as a little old lady and me soon found out. I would suggest, if possible, to change right before security if going through a body scanner. If a metal detector, it doesn't matter. I don't think it matters much either way.
  5. I order a lot from them to keep me dry. Would it work if I already have a login?
  6. All my docs know. I told them all of my issues. They saw my wet pull-ups, which I only wear to medical appointments unless I am at the pool or something.
  7. Update - Tena Diapers Slip Maxi - Cloth backed only - all over France. Most pharmacies have something, but you need to find a Materiel Medical pharmacy for more options. I went to like 10 pharmacies (much to my wife's dismay) to find plastic backed but gave up and bought cloth backed instead. Last time (6 years ago) I was in Italy on Lake Como, when into one pharmacy and they had plastic backed Tenas my size. I didn't find any Abenas or Molicares, but there was one pharmacy that may have had them but was closed for lunch when I went and it was too far away to go again. I found the Tena's to be not as worthwhile as my typical NS Supreme.
  8. That's pretty good though! 2 incomes helps a lot I am sure.
  9. Your skin health is important. Your body needs water and you should stay hydrated. Some people can only use 2-3 per day but that's not realistic if you use for BM too for most people. I need 5-6 high quality per day, like NS Supreme or Incontrol Elite Hybrid. Plus boosters for nighttime or travel. Plus wipes, plus protective pants, plus bags, plus cream, etc. $200-$400 per month. Using cloth will cut costs.
  10. What is it you do for a living @BabyJeggySpideyBoy? I work full time in sales with finance. That's incredible you can do that for a living. Is it enough to provide for housing and food and all your needs? Is this enough to provide for your income needs? I find these alternative career paths very interesting.
  11. Any special advice for buying diapers in and around the Nice or Provence France area? I am debating between packing enough diapers to last me (1 full suitcase worth), or just minimum and buying as I go.
  12. Ok cool thank you for your comments! So I must have been misremembering the width. They are wide. The butt coverage though is an issue for me, especially when sitting. Leaked last night yet again with MM and booster but will try again.
  13. Yes the poop fell into my diaper as I was making coffee. I just sat down to eat my breakfast and wait to see if any more comes before changing ?
  14. I find them too narrow at my balls and they don’t cover my butt as well. Even compared to the NS supreme. Also very soupy consistency. Any other MegaMax haters? Wearing one now…
  15. I think the higher end disposables can be a waste especially if you have multiple Bowel Movements. Depends on the situation.
  16. Just had a massage no issue. Glad I wore too because I need the protection. Wore my blue NorthShore with Blue Gary PUL over it. Just told the masseuse that I would like to leave my underwear on. She massaged down over my upper butt check, slightly under the diaper. Next time, I will push the top of the diaper down a bit. Always recommended to wear a fresh diaper and a rather thin and discreet one. I don't think it would be respectful to wear a crazy patterned thick one. No issues! She was totally nonchalant about it.
  17. Any suggestions on a good nighttime solution? I’ve been using Rearz Inspire + with liveanew giant boosters and a variety of pants. I’ve leaked the past three nights. Trests are ridiculously expensive but I’m considering those.
  18. I’m a convert for hook and loop (generic Velcro if you will) plastic backed diapers for a few reasons as I wear 24/7. Hook and look diapers (incontrol hybrids for me) are my casual wear diaper when out and about or around the house (I wear NS Supreme with tapes at work) I like them because they are quieter and easier to discreetly change, like in the airport bathroom, at the bathroom in the Wendy’s, etc. Also you can readjust them. I used to hate. Now I love. ?
  19. Thanks for the updates! I would say you can definitely qualify as incontinent, to some degree at this point. In that way, you can be (somewhat) open and honest and let them know you have had issues and are dealing with it. It is what it is. I have had varying degrees of incontinence that I have let my doctors and others know about. Frankly, I thought I would have people ask me about things after 6 months of 24/7 but it has never come up, beyond those I've told. Including I work in a small office, and my messy diapers are in the trash (bagged), and yet, not a mention from anyone. I did replace the trashcan for a slightly larger one and when asked I just said I broke the trashcan by accident so replaced it. If I am asked, I plan on just saying I have occasional issues. No one but my wife knows I wear 24/7. Speaking of, I do wear a swimsuit on the boat and at the beach. I occasionally wet myself but its not a big deal as I just spill a drink/water on my lap, or run to the water or something. No messy accidents in a swimsuit yet... I have noticed I cant be drinking (water/beer) while in the boat as I will release, so I only drink when I am in or near the water. As far as 24/7 vs incontinent. I realize incontinence is something that many people yearn for on here. I have even seen comments like "before you decide to go 24/7, you need to make rules and stick to them" from people who IDK if they have ever actually taken the plunge. What I am saying is, you can change the rules. If you think it's best to hold your flow, hold the flow! I go back and forth. Make your 24/7 lifestyle based on your own situation. You are the only one who is keeping track of it, so just do what you want! ~ Hope that helps! You're amazing and I love following you. Keep on posting!!
  20. Congrats! On the running side, I use Tena plastic backed under my running shorts and apply Chamois Buttr to my inner thighs. This and yard work are the only time I don’t use diaper covers. I’ve run up to 4 miles no issue. Plus I crinkle ever so slightly which I enjoy. Might want to try that out. It makes running less stressful when you don’t have to worry. I’m following a similar path as you, with similar incontinence diagnosis etc. It’s been fun to follow your journey! Diapers make incontinence so much better, not having to worry, or search for a bathroom, unless you’re messy then of course you need to find one but at least it’s without the abdominal pain. For travel, it can be tough. Rest areas are great for changing. I’ve used bathrooms at restaurants, where I go in after the children etc. It gets more complicated solo parenting but not terrible. I was running late to pickup my kids from camp two days ago and went to the dollar general, but they couldn’t find the bathroom keys. I ended up changing behind the dumpster! It was embarrassing, especially because I saw a few people I knew in the store while I was asking for the key. I left before anyone could notice. I would not recommend changing in the open but alas it was my only option. Before that I went to the only gas station and the stall was occupied forever and again I saw people I knew! So that led me to the DG. I find that I must wear either Gary PUL or Northrshore trifecta pants at all times. They help prevent any leaks which inevitably occur for me multiple times a week. I went to an outdoor wedding yesterday, and I keep a camera bag with me. It’s not super hot with the pants. The camera bag can hold my DSLR camera and diapers, but not the used diaper, so that can be awkward to toss the used diaper (in a bag) in the trash after coming out of the stall. I didn’t drink much water, only liquor drinks so I only needed to change once. I tried to time my change when I thought less people may use it. Skin care is a must ~ an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. I use Medline Sooth and Cool most changes and try and change my messy diapers asap. If I can prevent the rash, that way better than trying to get rid of it. Hope my 2 cents helps! Keep on posting!
  21. I am laying on my couch in one now. Feels so good! Got to get ready for work soon though! Then change into my work diapers
  22. This works!!! The only way through is out! I find that if I ignore things, it just gets worse. But if I dive in, I go deep and then it gets better. Also, try working out, like running, working up a sweat, walking, etc. Nature, digging in the dirt (gardening etc) is helpful too.
  23. Sounds like it's time to move out/away from your brother! I couldn't manage that sort of infringement.
