    • Within a multiverse of multiple possibilities this is an alternative take on the Life Is Strange universe. Expect characters and events to be different to some degree or another from the universe and some new twists.    REUNION Chapter 1:  Rise And Shine   Golden Sunlight was creeping into the dorm room at Blackwell Academy through the gaps in the blinds. Highlighting and shining off the plants by the window otherwise the room was dark.    It was that early in the morning. Outside the window you can start to hear the tones of the woodland birds singing as they start the day.   Across the room Max Caulfild lay sound asleep in her bed her short brown hair a mess from tossing and turning all night and covers half thrown off of her.    On a table near the bed a phone lights up and starts buzzing softly filling the room with noise and causing Max to stir from her slumber.   Max groans as she sits herself up and switches her phone off. Once the phone is quiet she goes to check her messages and smiles softly to herself seeing a message from Warren.   Phone taken care of Max throws her covers off as she gets out of the bed before checking the bed is okay and making it after a night's sleep.    Max makes her way over to the closet and grabs her clothes for the day, throws them onto the bed, and grabs her shower stuff before closing the closet.   Max’s mind begins to wonder about thoughts of the day ahead now that the fog of sleep is starting to leave her. After a few days to settle back into life at Blackwell Academy it’s time for classes to finally begin today.   For Max this means photography class with a new teacher MR Jefferson who’s a world renown photographer for his work with portraits.   Max is excited to learn from MR Jefferson and ask him about his work in the Seattle gallery but the noises coming from Max’s belly reminds her that she still is yet to shower and eat before class.    Max makes her way along the hallway towards the showers. Part way along the hallway is a notice board littered with now crumpled papers and fliers that never seem to get taken down as often as they should by Samuel.    By the notice board is a tall slender girl with long ginger hair. The girl notices Max making her way through the corridor. “Morning Max.”    “Hey Dana,” Max Replies after noticing she is being spoken to. “Getting started early I see?”   “Yes, I got the posters printed late yesterday. So I’m getting some of them up before class today. Going to see you at tryouts?”    “I’m not sure, I’m likely a bit too retro for the cheerleaders.”    “Nonsense Max, your style of retro is cool and you have a great eye for detail.”   “Okay I will see how things are after class.”   “Awesome, hope you can be there. Getting some retro pics for the squad would be so cool Max. Well I got more posters to get up, see you around Max.”   Dana grabs her posters and heads on out of the dorms with a spring in her step. Max continues on her way to the dorm showers.   Max walks into the showers and puts her towels and shower bag on a small table by the showers before heading to the sinks and taking a look at herself in the mirror.   Max is not what you would call vain and needed to constantly see herself in a mirror. So for her this was more for practicality than her confidence as she takes a moment to brush out her bed head.   Once satisfied with getting any knots out she turns the shower on before beginning to strip off.   Chloe Price was laying in her bed face down still in last night's clothes. Her covers were thrown over the place matching the chaotic state of her room.     Chloe stirs awake wondering why she isn’t asleep any more then she tunes in to the yelling coming from the bottom of the stairs.    “Chloe Price, wake up you are going to be late for classes again, young lady!”  Comes through the walls all muffed.    Chloe gets up out of bed. “Mom, I am up! Stop the yelling!”  Chloe looks over her clothes before throwing them off onto the floor. She walks over to the dresser in her bra and panties to grab a fresh pair and the closet for clothes for the day.   After getting dressed Chloe runs down the stairs. Chloe is now wearing a white Tank top that’s seen better days just like her jeans. She has a beanie thrown over her short blue hair. She throws on a hoodie over her tank top before sliding into the kitchen.   “Step-Demon out of here already?” Chloe says in the middle of finding some quick food to eat.   “Yes, David's at work already. And be nicer to him he’s trying.”  Chloe’s mom says while working on plating up some pancakes before walking into the lounge area next to the kitchen.   “I know, he’s just too abrasive and rides my ass at school.”   “Language Chloe! You can speak how you like with your friends but here, I would like to still believe my little girl is still a perfect angel.”   “Sorry Mom. Pancakes smell hella good, as always.”   “Just don’t make a mess rushing them.”   “Too late.”  Chloe says muffed mouth full of pancakes. After Chloe Finishes she puts the plate in the sink before running out late for school.    Kate marsh is sitting on the edge of her bed still in her PJ’s, her hair a mess from the night's sleep. She is  looking at her phone scrolling through social media.    Her phone is filled with comments from most of the people at school on some post one of the popular kids made spreading gossip about Kate.   Tears are running down Kate’s face as she is overwhelmed with how many people are talking about her.  She is panicking over what people are going to think of her now if they have seen this.   Kate has a bit of a reputation around school for being a good student keeping her head down and out of trouble, but she’s also known and singled out at times for her religious views which can make her a target for unwanted attention.   Putting the phone away Kate gets up and shaking makes her way over to her closet to get ready for class. Kate pulls out a simple white dress and begins to take off her PJ’s.    After Kate is dressed for class she walks over to her Rabbits cage making sure the Rabbit has water for the day.    Once she is happy that the Rabbit is taken care of she takes a moment to ready herself. Grabbing  her stuff for class and making her way out of the dorm.

    • "No, baby," he had been quiet during her whole story, though he had breathed a bit in irritation at how bad this was.  He didn't know if he was more mad at himself, her parents for not preparing her for the real world, or her for putting herself in this situation, but he kept quiet except for some obvious snorts of displeasure at the whole mess. "No," he shook his head reaffirming.  "I told you already, even if you are twenty-three years old, I'm not putting you back on the streets just so you can keep living this shame." Larry pulled the car over somewhere between the towns, and he got out and got in the back with her, sitting next to her, he turned to look into her eyes. "Just so I know you aren't lying this time, can you show me your student card or something with proof that you are an adult?" he asked her.  He wanted to believe her with everything she laid out to him.  It seemed a rather far fetched scenario for even a teen with little world experience to lay out, but kids were crafty.  He didn't want her to think she could pull the stunt twice on him. "Well, we are in a pickle, but I just lied to the school about you being my niece, your parents being homeless, and I was expected to take you in.  I don't know what the nurse at school knows about your age, but she didn't seem to have let on that she was on to it, and honestly, I feel like we got the extra car and the extra house because they were worried about putting a kid on the streets.  They even gave me a sign on bonus that doesn't make sense unless they felt sorry for the fact I had a kid with me." He rubbed her arm. "Honestly, your quiet game probably wouldn't have worked with anyone else.  I do take part of the blame, wanting to see a kid this whole time, but the wetting aside, your story has a lot of actions of someone that is just... well, I'd even have expected better from someone starting high school.  Partying happens in college, but not to the point that you described.  Accusing your teachers of just wanting to fail you seems a bit irresponsible too, honey.  One teacher?  Yeah, maybe they were salty after you turned in a paper with GPT chat.  Even if you were using that ap to just clean up your work, you were kind of cheating.  GPT chat doesn't let the teacher see what you actually know about grammar and how to write to be persuasive since it corrects all your weaknesses in a paper." He rubbed her leg. "Of course, if no one taught you that, then that's not entirely your fault, sweetie." He sighed a moment to let her get a word in, and so he could think about how to word a proposal that he thought would help her.  He didn't want her back on the streets, and he was sure that she would not be able to hold a job down with where she was currently in her head.  She thought the landlord was just raising the price on her every month to get rid of her, but honestly, being constantly late with payments would be a good enough reason to get rid of her.  She probably just got something confused.  He wasn't going to bring that up though because he felt that she honestly believed this, and he didn't want her call her a liar on something she believed.  It wouldn't solve her problem if he just called her a liar.  In his mind, she had to learn things that she didn't apparently learn at home. He listened to her, almost half-heartedly, as he tried to think of a way to ask just how strict they were with her at home before she came to live on her own.  He figured they probably didn't get strict on anything, which is why she has no idea how to do things on her own.  She couldn't keep a job, she blamed everyone else for everything that happened instead of trying to change her behaviors to change it, and he didn't know why she was wetting her pants, but he knows there are free clinics, so even if she had a health problem that caused it, she obviously didn't have the survival skills to get that checked out on her own.  But how was he going to convince her that she was still a child and needed to learn to be an adult?  That's what it all boiled down to.  In his eyes, she was eleven despite her years of time on Earth and a piece of paper or plastic that said that she was alive for 23 years.  She just didn't have the skills of even an eleven year old... Did she?
