DiaperboyEddie12 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I was at work. Just a heads up I am a pizza delivery person. just to get that off the ground. Today at work at around 5 pm Eastern time I went out to do a delivery and just got buckled up and well this lady walks up to my car and knocks on my window and I roll it down and she goes do you know your tire is flat? I am like what? And she repeats herself. So I get out of my car and look and there it is. It is flat. So I brought the food back in and told the manager what was going on. He then came out and helped me put my spare on the car. Well, the stupid Donut was flat as well. So my manager took it to the gas station and pumped it up for me then brought it back and put it on my car. So tomorrow I need to go patch it up. Hopefully, it does not need a new tire. Man, I am screwed if it does. 2
willnotwill Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I know how it is. Hopefully, it's something like a nail in it that they can pull out and plug. My local tire place has a jar full of things they've removed from people's tires. 1

tuffy Posted February 11 Posted February 11 I hate it when stuff like that happens. I hope you can get it fixed easily. When one of my kids was in high school and flipped burgers a few evenings a week, someone slashed all 4 tires of our family car. Had to have it towed to the local tire shop to buy 4 new ones. We never found out if it was targeted at him or just a random miscreant having "fun". 1
DiaperboyEddie12 Posted February 11 Author Posted February 11 @DailyDi Not sure if it just got to low or a hole in it. I will find out in the AM @tuffy Thank you. if someone did that to me it would be all over for me as I do not have the money to buy all 4 tires. 1
Alyeskabird Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Tire repair kit for the win. Been a few times I have had to fix a flat on the side of the road, thankfully most of thoes times I had a mini compressor, and my handy dandy tire plug kit on hand. Had to do that for others too many times on road trips. 1
vvp39 Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Yeah, a flat tire can really be a pain! There was a time when I bought an old Chevy pickup. Its tires had plenty of tread but they were such cheap-ass tires that they'd pick up almost anything and go flat. When the third one went flat - it picked up a wood screw *head first* I said the hell with it and bought a set of good tires. 1
rusty pins Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Tires can go flat or lose a lot of air if it gets really cold. One of mine went flat, I pumped it up and it was OK. When I got an oil change all tires were about 10 pounds low. They said that is common in very cold or freezing weather. It's also possible someone just let the air out of that tire as a prank. Hopefully that's all it is. 1
DiaperboyEddie12 Posted February 11 Author Posted February 11 Thank you @Alyeskabird @vvp39 @rusty pins. i got the tire fixed but couldn’t get a plug don’t care them either. Then while at the shop got a used tire to put in my front of my car. As it had a bubble and some bad cracks in it so replaced that. Then went to get the car inspected and passed. I was worried about the inspection as had a engine light come on and when tested. came back cat was bad so worried about that but the tire place that fixed my tire he put it in his machine and came back good. He told me to go right then and there to get inspected and it should pass. which it did. So I’m happy now. 3
Alyeskabird Posted February 12 Posted February 12 I tend to be kinda handy, so I do keep some things on hand for that sort of emergancy. Not so easy to do anymore though, what I drive now uses comercial tires, not allways easy to repair thoes on the side of the road. Hell, used to carry a pair of thoes nylon stockings for emergancy belt replacement.
