Emergency!

My wife and I were just watching a favorite episode of the old Emergency! (Jack Webb) show.   It featured a call to a college frat in the middle of initiation.   Half a dozen freshmen were there earing pinned on cloth diapers.

"Go ahead, 51"

"Rampart, we have a young adult baby, real age 22, passed out drunk and in a very wet diaper, over. Vitals are...pulse 110. B/P 120 over 70, respiration 15 and ragged".

"51, change the diaper and administer 20 ccs of D5W. Transport immediately".

"10-4, Rampart, we're on our way!"

I remember running across that episode also....  Only thing wrong is the diapers are regular (cloth) towels.  As I recall they hall off one of the pledges dressed as such....

Yep.   But I remember seeing this the first time back around the time it was probably initially aired (1972-1977) back when I was just becoming aware of my interest in diapers.   I'd made plenty of diapers out of towels and safety pins.

My third grade lunch box was Emergency, but I was probably too young to understand what was going.
