paradox
Lib this conservative that. It is all same in the end because your all part of a democracy and captialism. Watching an argument over the same ideas is kinda funny though. as for me I am for wich ever side sucks the least at the time. So basically I am nothing till our country sorts itself out. Although I am a fan of true communism with free market enterprise. Link to comment
Topguy
I'm a hard core moderate, neither party by itself has a workable solution. I take a pragmatic view. Idealism is a fantasy-if it works for the most, use it-if not-scrap it. Link to comment
boy ricky
Daddy says were Liberal, way left though, right Daddy? No left scooter. Right! Scooter its left. Daddy your confusing me. Link to comment

nitrous
Out of all the candidates running for president, congrss, and senate, I would have to go with the ideals of Ron Paul. Link to comment
Baby Bethany
A bit off topic, but in the UK we have a car show called Top Gear and every week they do something really stupid with a car, drive to the north pole or something. One week they decided to drive, in three cars from Florida to New Orleans. Before they started they each had to paint something on each car (in huge letters) that they thought would piss people off. So one car said 'MAN LOVE RULES OK' another said 'NASCAR SUCKS' (Not sure if I that's the right spelling) and the final car said 'HILARY FOR PRESIDENT'. They were okay until they arrived in Alabama and stopped at a small town for gas. The woman came out to fill the cars up and said, "what's that shit on your cars" boy was she wound up, "what do you mean MAN LOVE RULES are you gay?" even more wound up......"NASCAR SUCKS"........but when she saw 'HILERY FOR PRESIDENT' she exploded........."Hilary for president, I'm not having that. I'm calling my boys, your in biiiiig trouble honey!!! Don't know much about US politics, but boy she didn't like Hilary Clinton!!!! Link to comment

BoTox
I only care about one issue, which tends to sink me deep into conservative issues. The government of the USA (and most other countries) robs it citizens (and subject for those with monarchies) of too much money that said government believes it is entitled. Too many people are on the government tit, so to speak, and could do better for themselves. Benjamin Franklin said it best, "I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it." Link to comment
tommee
Leftist. I kind of believe if you are nice to people the majority will be nice back. Link to comment
redneck diaper boy
I wish we could find another Reagan. I see the same crap with Obama. All the young people, who don't remember how bad Jimmy Carter was are falling for Obama. Obama is a hard core Communist. McCain isn't much better. Neither one of them will do what is necessary to fix our economic problems. America's economy runs on oil. We need to drill for our own. George Bush has the only practical solution. We should have been exploiting our own oil yesterday. I am a liberal!! (I always hated it when Reagan would make it a slur "lllllliberal"... CDL Link to comment

lilwetone
I haven't read all the responses (yet). I tend to lean more conservative, but I told hold to that. The candidate that I think will actually get SOMETHING done is the one which will get my vote.. Right now neither liberals, conservatives, democrats, or republicans, are really accomplishing anything. Want to see your Government Inaction? watch CSpan. Link to comment
singner
I am extremely conservative in my ways. White bread, apple pie, the only good commie is a dead one! Link to comment
Diapered Rocker
First, I hate labels, i dont think anyone should identify with a Party or particular Political Position, just decide what they think is right, and go with it...if when that happens it tends to go one way or the other, so be it, but dont close yourself off to the other side *rant over*... That being said, i find that my political swings are best represented by the philosophy represented here Libertarian Socialism Link to comment
PrincessDragonette
This has been an interesting topic. I found as I read through that more than a few people ascribed themselves to a certain party and then said they believed in the platform of another party. Learn what you believe and why and above all, KILL THE TWO PARTY SYSTEM (It doesn't allow for shades of gray). I don't care if one of you is a Communist and another a Liberal or a Conservative, just know what you believe and why and I'll respect you for it. I love seeing the variety of views, balance requires more than one force. I personally am a Libertarian, mostly because of my philosophical leanings. I believe, as someone else has already stated, in no crimes except for those with a victim, swift punishment for real crimes, and complete freedom as long as you aren't infringing on another's freedoms. Oddly enough, I believe that gives everyone the right to disagree with me or anyone else and I hope that someday we can all look at our individualist leanings and realize that is what makes us human and strong, differences of opinion lead to progress almost inevitably, as long as they are not allowed to fall into petty squabbles. Okay then, sorry. I'll be quiet now. Link to comment
Skywolf
I think trying to confine people to one or the other is wrong. Same thing with all these sites and media who only ask "are you voting democrat or republican?" I am a libertarian/Constitutionalist, which doesn't fit either of those categories. Trying to put politics on a flat line doesn't work either. This is a much more revealing method: -Sky Link to comment
