It might be time to tell my Doctor - bowel stuff inside.

Im thinking of wording it like I might not be completing my bowel movements properly. I wipe and wipe and wipe and there is just no end and eventually I have to give up even though there is a little brown on the toilet paper but Im just wasting toilet paper at this point,

I then go about my day and an hour or two later my butt crack starts itching like crazy so I go wipe and its like more fecal waste came out during that time with a massive amount of brown on the toilet paper. Its not usually a problem as the waste usually stays within the crack area and not get on my underwear, but more frequently lately that has not been the case.

Im hoping this can be resolved by pill, Dont want to wear diapers or pullups full time as Ive conditioned myself to pee freely while wearing them and that would just get old fast if im constantly changing into a fresh one for not the purpose I might need them.

@barnburner have you tried wipes?  They do a nice cleaning o that area!  I also have problems with wiping my rear.  And enver get all the brown off!  But I still try.  Sometimes I use the wipes and get a nice clean area.  But then sometimes well not so good.

I have never tried wipes, is there a brand or kind I should look for? I hear most of the ones that say flushable really shouldnt be flushed.

Also question for the population here, Could this be a sign of something major that could be happening?

Right now We have Northshorecare brand.  But usually we go to walmart and buy huggies or walmart brand wipes.  Just something to clean that area down there.

Age may be catching up on you.  I have been doing this for 1/2 my life.

With one foot on the ground and the other raised, I hitch my butt over the edge of the wash basin and with the tap running, keep washing until it feels clean.

I have tried similar, jumping into the shower, hand held showerhead on the pulse(?) setting, but all those times have involved me needing to finish wiping at the toilet after my buttcrack dried a little, still some fecal waste left behind.

i had this problem for quite a while before I went 24/7 for urinary issues.. the best answer to you use wipes.. you probably have the begins of a hemroid. The Dr.  will probably tell you you are wiping too hard which is just making the problem worse. wipes allow you to get clean without wiping as hard. As far as flushable or not.. No most of them aren't flushable.. if I have to use a wipe i put a Walmart bag in the trash can as a liner and throw it away.. wrap it up and out to the dumpster.

@barnburner @Glennie

I would follow the advice of Glennie here.  Wipes are designed to help you get clean. Many times when using toilet paper you might irritate that area and cause issues. Wipes allow you to go right to the source and wipe until whatever is in there is gone or clean and I’ve had to do that myself. Second thing, I don’t care what type of a wipe it is: if it says that it is flushable or if it says it is not flushable: wipes are not really flushable, even if they say they are. I will give you an example. If I believe years ago my landlord decided that within all of its buildings That they were going to Change all of the toilets, air Raiders, showerhead, and lightbulbs and all apartments. They went from the old style 50, 60, or 70 white bulbs, to the new “energy efficient“ light bulbs.

So they came in, they replaced my toilet, they replaced my aerator, they replaced the shower heads, and instead of getting 3 gallons of water a minute through the top you get maybe one and a half gallons or a half a gallon, depending on whether you are in the bathroom or in your kitchen. I find that this is very unhelpful to me when trying to clean my bathroom sense they don’t want you to have that much water pressure because they’re afraid that you’re going to waste water. When I talk to my landlord, I basically told them that if someone is using the water and they cannot fill up a container or be able to clean their bathroom properly, because they want you to not waste water, then this is a misnomer because people will just keep running the water more and more and they’re still use the same amount of water. I had them put the same aerator on my bathroom sink as they did on my kitchen sink in that way I have the power in the spray to be able to clean my bathroom sink very well.

The shower I have no problem with:  it does not Affect the use of the shower at all, and I can set the shower for a massage setting so that it’ll help my back and help me clean up. The toilets on the other hand, are a pain in the ass, because now I have to flush the toilet at least twice sometimes to be able to clear the toilet bowl of anything that’s in there, and that means if I take a dump then I have to possibly flush the toilet maybe once twice or at the most three times to be able to clear the toilet.  As far as  the wipes go, we were instructed never to flush anything other than urine, feces, or paper down the toilet. Failure to do this will result in someone getting a bill from the maintenance department because they have to go in and clear the mess. So when somebody says it is “flushable“ don’t believe it even if it says it, the best thing to do is to throw it away in your trash bag or wherever you throw it when you get rid of it.

This has been happening for around 10 years, can a hemeroid last that long? Im sure Ive had one in the past with pain but most of the time I have no pain back there.

As far as why you keep having poop right at the opening of your anus, basically your bowel doesn't seem to be emptying completely. This is not normal, but fixable through diet. From what I understand, your large intestine carries poop and once it enters the last eight or so inches, your bowels, the nerves in that part of your body send the signal for you to have to go poop. For whatever reason you don't seem to be completely emptying your bowel, so there's always a "round left in the chamber" so to speak. One are the best things you can do is look at your diet and increase your fiber intake along with fluids to help get a well formed poop that will exit your bowel appropriately and not leave anything behind.

This is what you should see a specialist about.

I was really constipated when I was a kid and the same thing happened to me for years. I think of the time between 57 and 62 as the Enema Years. It would have been nice if my mother or 'Someone' had explained the "Whats" and "Whys" of being a somewhat incontinent child who was never included in Adult Conversations between my Mother and our Pediatrician. So I made up my own. (though it was no where near that easy)

I personally love Pampers baby wipes. They're durable. For messy diapers, use paper towels to get all the macromatter off, then use baby wipes to finish off the micromatter.

And after using baby wipes for that extra clean feeling, you'll know if you're actually developing some fecal incontinence after some time.
