DailyDi
Two city men, arrested last week at the Riverside Square Mall, face charges alleging that, while shoplifting, they wore adult diapers with Velcro straps to help conceal $32,000 worth of clothing they stole from several stores. Dejan Marjanovic, 43, and Alexander Golen, 37, were arrested on Oct. 10 by officers from Hackensack and the Bergen County Sheriff’s Office assigned to a quality of life patrol, authorities said Friday in a release. Each of the accused is charged with shoplifting and possession of burglary tools, county Sheriff Michael Saudino said. Saudino said the men wore a “Velcro undergarment commonly worn to conceal items to aid shoplifting.” A spokesman for the office later confirmed that the undergarments were adult diapers, which typically have Velcro straps, and are considered burglary tools. Marjanovic and Golen, who live together in the city, were released from the Bergen County Jail after posting $10,000 bail apiece, according to authorities and jail records. Link to comment

Bettypooh
Thje "Cop Mindset" is that if it was used as a tool, it's a tool (which makes them all murderers for the guns they carry ) I know designer clothes ain't cheap, but how many trips to the store did they have to make to rack up $32K worth? And if they have evidence of those earlier escapades (like store security vids) why didn't they nab them long before $32K? As to the crooks, I can't see any advantage to starting out 'puffy' then adding to that by stuffing more in their pants At least those crooks weren't as smart as the Cops and they got caught, but if it is deemed that diapers were tools of crime in the Courtroom (as the Cops will claim) then it does lower the legal bar for anyone wearing diapers to be harassed, which is the whole motivation behind the Cop mindset anyway Too much stupid in todays world, may I please move to a place where that is rarer? Baby Brian
A diaper wouldn't block the radio tags frequency, however; their bulk could help conceal rough edges from boxes, and their added layering could be used to conceal the added layers of a clothing item stuffed down there. At lease more so than tighty whities would. Link to comment
