How do you conceal the buldge?

Just curious, if you wear in public how do you conceal the buldge or rear ? I find any sort of compression seems to effect the ability of the diaper to hold anything during a wetting.

Thoughts ?

If I'm in an environment where I need maximum discretion, i.e I'm at work, or other occasion requiring formal attire, I wear Tena Slip Maxi.

When at work I wear a Molicare super plus and an Abena maxi booster. A bit bulky, but with jeans, you can't tell.

@Quicktip

I know both Tena and Molicare....I use both, however workdays I use the Molicare....

Tena Slip Maxi's with the plastic backing (discontinued now :( ) are my favorite diaper and have never leaked with me. They also handle my floods (about half the average quantity) superbly. I'd compare them the the usual Bambino's line. With me, TSM's are the only diaoper I've tried which absorb OK in back, and with them how high that goes rtells me how soon I need a change. I've tried only 2 Molicares over a year ago but IIRC they were similar in capacity.

I always wear the thicker, premium diaper. Wearing loose/relaxed fit jeans or slacks tend to help hide the bulk. of course, I don't worry about the bulk so much as a bad leak, since a leaking diaper is way more obvious than a thick one.

I wear cloth diapers with a soaker panel and waterproof pants, but there doesn't seem to be too much of a noticeable bulge. Although I don't wear in public, I do wear when walking between houses, such as on a Saturday. I put on a diaper early in the morning at Mom's house and then later change it at my house after my brother goes to work. I've worn discreetly and my mother (to my knowledge) has not noticed, nor has my brother. I've even talked to the neighbors while wearing and truthfully, I don't think it's at all noticeable under my jeans. The Zorb soaker layer absorbs as much as six layers of cloth, so it isn't awfully thick.

Over the years i have learned not to worry about it. No one gives a hoot what your wearing.

@mahleedl how are they absorbancy wise? Do they handle heavy wettings?

I'd say girls definitely find it easier to conceal diaper unless they like to wear form fitting jeans.

I've seen girls in jeans tight enough that their panty lines show through. That would definitely be too tight to conceal a diaper.

Craisler is right about SAP vs pulp (or fluff). Most diapers use both in varying ratios and varying containment strategies. High capacity requires SAP's but they absorb slowly. A small flood in a SAP only diaper would give you a 95% leak :o SAP's are also crystalline in form, so with thinner diaper plastic they can abrade pinholes during wearing :( Once they do their work, they tend to retain the liquid very well where pulp will act like a sponge and squeeze out when compressed.

So far, I only use Tena Slip Maxi and I put one on after work every day and take it off in the morning before work, that's 12-15 hours in same diaper and mostly its not even near its capacity

Weekends I can go with same diaper over 20 hours

I use it outdoors too and there is barely any bulge so whoever sees it, is looking to closely

I don't. I just wear my normal clothes and make sure my diapers are covered and don't show. I pretty much wear jeans or loose pants and you can't really tell I have a diaper on. I wear thick and thin diapers.

I would guess that some people can tell. But it takes one to know one. So, it isn't likely to be a problem.

Wear one size larger pants or shorts with shirt untucked.

I don't worry anymore. I don't think anyone really cares anyway. If I was challenged I would just say I'm incontinent and have no choice.

When I'm heading out with a diaper on, I'll usually wear a thawb.
