bigbabygee
And as they are tight around the waist and legs they leave a lovely tell tale sign that you have worn plastic pants and this can be helpful in meeting others. Link to comment
BabyJune
Pure plastic or vinyl will not "breathe," therefore you will feel wet when you are wet. I make waterproof pants out of a material called polyurethane laminate (PUL) which is actually fabric laminated with a flexible plastic resin. The material "breathes" yet does not allow water to pass through it. As far as leakage, there is always a chance with any material that a really wet diaper will leak around the leg openings. I recently made some soaker layers out of a material called Zorb encased in birdseye diaper fabric. It works well because the Zorb holds a lot of moisture. The idea is to wear a cloth diaper/soaker that holds the moisture, not reach a point of saturation, and then the waterproof pants simply create a barrier between "you" and the outside world. At some point, though, there is always a risk for some leakage--even with disposable diapers. Link to comment
jesse78
I like to wear them because you can change the look of your diaper, you can get them in different colors, and styles. As for stopping leaks, any diaper will leak when totally soaked Link to comment
Steveorstephanie
I just like the feel of plastic pants. I also think that they are essential for that real AB experience. I know that those of a younger age won't see it that way, because they never used them when they were little as disposables were used. I remember them as I was a cloth baby. I love the sound they make as well. Link to comment
Little BabyDoll Christine
Actually you might want to try the Babykkins rubber panties. the elastics on those things are so strong, they would hold up a bank Link to comment
