as for a clue, this song came out in 1968, 3rd song on the album by a california band. this was also the bands 3rd album.

That is so the Doors... a lovely little tune that is nestled between "Love Street" and "Summer's Almost Gone" on the album Waiting for the Sun called, not terribly amazingly, "Not To Touch the Earth."

That's the one that ends with Jim Morrison whispering, "I am the Lizard King/I can do anything."
