  1. This made me giggle... a lot. It would not be half as good if it was not a Rec area. lol
  2. Thanks for sharing Rockies Fan! I will be interested to hear how it continues to go. I have not had time to seriously look for a counselor but I'm hoping I can do that in the next week or so sense things have slowed down a little in the rest of my life. Hope it continues to go well.
  3. I'm such a nerd at first I thought it was some kind of video game cheat code. But I totally laughed very hard when I read the rest.
  4. I don't know her but she is in my prayers and thoughts. Sending all the well wishes and good thoughts her way. I'm so sorry to hear this happened to her.
  5. Oh, that is terrible I hope your day and weekend get much better.
  6. I hope things go great when you open up to your new counselor. I admire your bravery in doing it .
  7. Congrats on the weight loss that is never an easy thing to do, you should be very proud of yourself.
  8. That was totally not my intent with the topic I just happen to be an AB. I actually don't understand some of the DL vs AB sentiment that sometimes pops up sometimes. In my opinion while different we are in this together. I was just being self centered by specifying AB. Sorry if it seemed like I was excluding DL's or others.
  9. Got to love the bureaucratic mess that is the DMV.
  10. You make a great point diaperpt. The last thing I want from a counselor is someone who is only going to tell me what I want to hear. In the end I just want to have enough a sense of trust that I can bring my whole self to the table. That was something that I did not feel like I had with my last counselor, while he did give me some good techniques to help with the anxiety, I felt uncomfortable to totally open up so we never got at any of the root issues of my anxiety. I guess what I'm really looking for is a counselor who has some knowledge of the AB thing and not someone for who the idea is totally foreign.
  11. I get my footie pj's from Pajama City (http://www.pajamacity.com). They usually come in white or Christmas theme (depending on the time of year) soft shipping bags. They are really quality I wear mine almost every night and they last a long time. There is also a lot of great stuff at www.baby-pants.com their cloth diapers are great. They also have bibs, pacifiers, plastic pants, training pants and onsies. They also have really good customer service and are very, very discreet. They come in plain shipping as from BP. I know there are a lot of other places out there but these are the only ones I have used. Best of luck finding the stuff you are looking for.
  12. Married for 6 years now. Straight, but I don't really buy into the "gay/straight" binary rather I suspect we are all more nuanced shades of gray than those labels even if we are primarily one or the other. Anyway, sorry got a little off track there. My wife knows and is very supportive of my AB side.
  13. I have an anxiety/panic disorder that has been acting up really badly lately. I don't know if my desire for diapers stems from that but I know for sure I use diapers as a coping mechanism for the anxiety.
  14. I have an anxiety/panic disorder that has really be acting up lately so I think it is time to find myself a therapist in my area(I have moved recently). Anyway, I would really like to find a therapist who is AB friendly. I would like to be able to discuss diapers as one of my coping mechanisms without the therapist trying to "fix" the AB part of me that I have no interest in "fixing", and have that distract from the real issue of the anxiety. So if anyone has any experience with this I would love any advice I can get. And if anyone knows of any AB friendly therapists in the Bay Area private message me and let me know. Thanks for your help!
  15. Congrats!!! I hope home ownership is wonderful for you.
  16. Wow! What a fantastic find! Maybe I should check out goodwill more often. Enjoy them!
  17. I have been excited to get to see a couple of Thundercats episodes lately too (though I haven't gotten a chance to see the new version yet). I would love to see Ghostbusters and He-man come back as well.
  18. I know I'm a little late to the game here, but I had not had time to watch it until this morning. I'm very, very impressed with Riley's courage and how well she portrayed us. She was great!!! I agree with people who thought some of the TLC presentation was a little over the top, but all and all even that wasn't too bad.
  19. You could totally be describing me with this post. That balance is so challenging, it is something I'm working on, but I still have a long way to go.
  20. They were advertising it as a marathon and then there were only four episodes. Very disappointing
  21. Cartoon network has a "Thundercats" marathon on today. Diaper, pacifier, footie PJ, stuffed frog and "Thundercats" looks like I have a full and fulfilling Saturday ahead of me.
  22. I watch both Daily Show and Colbert Report right before bed every night. I have to say I'm still more of a Daily Show fan, but Colbert Report always makes me laugh.
  23. Jealous on three counts. First, it is a great book case. Second, that Minion is amazing. And third the nice diapers (all I have right now are cheap store brands). Enjoy all three!!!
  24. That is a great Kurt Cobain quote. I've been a fan of Kurt for years. I'm glad you feel much more free now. It is sad that being a part of a church made you feel less like yourself, because churches should help people be more themselves not feel like they need to hide yourself. But anyway that is my frustration coming out about churches (I'm a Christian, but am continually annoyed by the stupidity of the church). Good for you being as much yourself as possible that is the best thing you can be.
