  1. Great topic! I have been thinking about this question for a while myself - will I, can I outgrow my diaper fantasies as I move on in life? I recall having an interest in diapers going back as far as my earliest complete/coherent memories at the age of four. I am 25 now and have had seven years to freely pursue my interest, desensitized enough to walk past the incontinence or baby aisles of a grocery store without fear of cardiac arrest. I think about it more than I used to as a young child but I can pace myself as far as wearing- though I do have dreams which become more and more frequent the longer I wait. At times I have stopped wearing for months on end but always come back to them. Now I don't believe I will ever get the attraction out of my head but - like so many nostalgia fueled products and productions will tell you - as you grow you never forget the things you love; you simply leave them behind. Maybe. I myself am going to have to leave diapers behind when I move overseas in a few months, at least in practice. I don't know how long that will last but I can guarantee you diapers will still be in my dreams. I accept that, I have to because it makes me happy. You can't expect to outgrow it, but be glad there are things in this world that can bring you joy. Of those things, you determine which to abstain from and when, what is appropriate and how much is excessive. That is also part of growing up.
  2. If I have diapers in my dreams, I'm usually trying to buy them (without being noticed) but having a difficult time. Sometimes I dream I am forced into diapers - once I dreamt I was strapped into a car seat wearing a onesie and couldn't get out by myself and another time I happened across a large transgender woman's apartment and was tied down and diapered. In the last dream I had with diapers, I put on a diaper and it had velcro straps across the front which became a leather harness, then all of a sudden I was in some leather gauntlets laced together behind my back and couldn't get free. In such dream situations I am earnestly struggling to break free but am secretly enjoying myself at least somewhat.
  3. It is a buzz word. My ears perk up whenever I hear it. It sounds kinda crinkly to me. you know???
  4. ATN's are one of my favorite brands aside from Abena and I haven't had much trouble with them. The tapes have come apart for me, however. I try not to tape them too tightly because that can compromise the holding power, I imagine if someone were to improperly size themselves for this diaper they would run into similar problems. But generally it is not a problem, and I am very careful not to get any oil on the diaper itself - this will make the tapes useless. The trouble I've had is with refastening the diaper - according to the package you are supposed to stick the secondary white tapes back on the blue ones to refasten the diaper but because the blue tabs have no adhesive on the ends, the secondary tapes can pull the tabs off. You can still refasten it by avoiding the blue tabs however. And when in doubt holding down the tapes for 30 seconds or so to allow the adhesive to 'set' seems to help. The inner leg gathers help prevent leakage and it's pretty high capacity in my opinion. You can definitely see when it's near capacity so there aren't any surprises. The other thing I love about this diaper is the cut allows me to walk naturally. And I can fully close my legs which is good for a side sleeper. It's a good balance of discretion, comfort and capacity for everyday use.
  5. Why do you assume they're made in china? There is no evidence to suggest this. In fact, if you go to XPmedical.com, you can see a virtual tour of the abena factory (where the x-plus is made), it's in Denmark. As far as Bambino is concerned, I couldn't say where the production takes place but I don't see any reason to assume that diaper production in general is being outsourced to china.
  6. I'm having a blast going to college up here, but I haven't met any other dl's near here- any wearers in Northern California/ the bay area?
  7. Thanks for the advice. I'm 5'5", 126 lbs. so I'll have to check that out as well.
  8. Air America is probably the most consistent fave. As far as music stations go, even some of the best play a lot of "bad" music, as subjective as the term may be.
  9. ^ The game seemed fun! < Considering whether to go buy books for school or wait for the ups guy... v What was your favorite cartoon growing up? And now?
  10. My old room mate once asked me if I wore depends. The conversation went something like this: Room mate: Do you wear depends? Me: Hmm? Room mate: Nevermind.
  11. Well this is an interesting study! I also fit into the "other" category. You see, I've had a keen interest in diapers since I was 4, which is about as far back as clear memories go for me. I suppose this means that my DL bent has something to do with something which occured in my infancy, although I can't imagine what. Also, for some reason I was only interested in disposables, never cloth. I didn't become at all interested in AB things until after I had first learnt of them as a teen (online, incidentally). At first "infantilism" didn't interest me at all, but gradually became more appealing over time. I can't attribute my AB interests to my childhood, good as it was, and must assume that they naturally developed from my love of diapers. That's as good as I can do, and I hope our answers will quench your thirst...FOR KNOWLEDGE!!!
  12. Hi all, I'm sure many of you are familiar with footed pajamas, but as they are not the most well-known item on the market, choosing the right one can be difficult. I've looked myself through several sites and found one trend: you really can't tell how good pyjamas are just by looking. So I've decided to ask the experts- you! Share your pyjama experiences, and invaluable advice so that I and other pyjama aficionados may make an informed decision. Some retailers that carry footed pj's: JC Penney's Jumpin' Jammerz KozyKomfy Snuggle Bug Pajamas Big Feet Pj's Also there are some AB-oriented retailers such as: Forever-A-Kid AB Outfitter
  13. Well, I've been coming to this site for a while now and have finally gotten around to registering on the forum, so why not post here? I couldn't think of a good reason, thus the post. Why am I here?!? Well, I must admit I'm excited to talk to other AB/DL's in a relaxed atmosphere as we have here. I don't really know anyone else who shares this particular interest with me so this should be fun! What else is there to tell? Let's leave it at this for now, I'm sure you've heard it all before, besides I'm interested in learning about you people! In any case, I think it's time to take a look around and see what's up, so hopefully I'll see you around! Later!
