The best waterproof pants I have used were plasticized coated nylon ones. The waterproofing layer feels almost like rubber. They don't pick up odors as much as vinyl does,and are really tough. I ended up having to make mine. No one seems to cut pants in any size that fits a large triangle terry cloth diaper. I had to widen the seat, drop the sides of the leg holes in front, and add three inches in height. It fits perfectly over my night time protection without having to tuck the legs in.

I agree. I wear due to medical conditions, mostly at night but in bad days I have to wear then as well. There is no sexual /compulsion based attraction to it, I wear out of nesscesity. Interesting to still see this topic going after so long. Maintanence issues are usually the hardest ones to overcome. I'm quite capable of behaving in the daddy role-but I won't, for the most part.
