  1. I've been wearing Overnights quite a lot over the past few weeks, and they work well for me. Usually I'm in cloth nappies, but our tumble-drier was out of action for a while, and we've been away as well, so I needed to go into disposables. Ironically, Overnights are a bit of a waste for me for overnight - I don't need that capacity overnight. I've been wearing them during the day, and I only need one a day, with no sign of leaking or chafing. The tabs have worked properly too. They get my vote.
  2. I haven't ticked any of the boxes as none seem to quite fit for me. I don't get embarrassed, but I do start worrying if my nappy feels so wet I might start leaking. I wish the decision of when to change me was someone else's responsibility, but in reality it isn't, so I need to worry about it to some extent. It's not a big deal for me though.
  3. Favourite? Well, really I'd always choose not to do them if that were an option. Still, I don't mind the ones I do, and often get into enjoying them. It's important to do my share, and I think I do. I do the clothes washing, nappy washing, ironing (not the nappies...), weekly shopping, lawn mowing, the vegetable garden. And it's usually me who walks Binky. I don't generally do cleaning, cos I hate it. Walking Binky is when I can get feeling more of a little.
  4. That's great! Good luck with it to both of you.
  5. I can't help but conclude your watch is overthinking all this...
  6. Yep. I'm usually in cloth nappies, but for the past month I've been in disposables as our tumble-drier has been out of action. The dustbin just got too full, and I suspected it wouldn't be emptied because of the weight of it (we get a fortnightly service). So I had to take them to the council tip, along with other stuff we needed to get rid of. The first tip had attendants who were much too attentive - they were helping to unload and checking contents of bags. So I unloaded the rest of the rubbish there, & took the nappies to a second tip, where I managed to unload them safely into the right container. Anyway, the drier was fixed the other day, so I'm safely back in cloth nappies again. Which is a considerable relief.?
  7. Ouch. I'm amazed it's not happened here, but it hasn't, at least not since a couple of small damp spots early on in my wearing at night, when I was still sorting out how to make an overnight nappy reasonably leakproof. Admittedly, I've got a pretty standard routine, which doesn't involve a lot of fluid intake in the evening. Still, it could have been worse - you've not been banished to the shed.
  8. I was sleeping. Now I'm eating breakfast & drinking tea. The radio's on, so it's not that quiet...
  9. Yes, that goes for me too. Wearing nappies with reusable fasteners helps, as in an eemergency it can come off fast & go on again straight after unloading.
  10. No such problem here: Mummy will take my nappies out of the tumble-drier as well if I ask her to. They're often hanging around in the house as are plastic pants hanging up to dry. Having said that, I've been in disposables for the past 3 weeks, as the aforesaid drier has packed in & we're waiting for the engineer. It's not hot here, but it was Mummy not wanting to cuddle up to me plastic pants that was one of the key things that delayed me going full-time into nappies for 18 months. Now I'm in suitably juvenile jamas every night, and that problem has gone away.
  11. I've never had the problem. I use my bottles only for milk (or occasionally white wine), and always wash them out with a bottle brush and hot water before the remainder of the milk goes off (overnight's OK for me, but no longer). Once or twice I've accidentally left one a bit longer & it got smelly, but boiling it for a few minutes fixed that.
  12. I get none of this, but then I don't use social media services, and clear my cookies every time I close my browser. The worst I get is reminders about what I've bought in the past from Amazon.
  13. I've nothing against black, although I've never actually worn them. I'd draw the line at camo though. Other than that, I'm OK with anything that keeps me from leaking to the outside world. As a little baby boy I'm not that keen on pink, but if Mummy wanted me in pink That's what I'd wear. I've still got favourites of course.
  14. Let's see... In the UK there was occasionally something in Forum magazine (published by Penthouse). That led me to finding out about Mummy Hazel (Hazel Jones), who sold AB clothes mail order, and had occasional parties. And joining DPF (mail order newsletter in those days). Going to Mummy Hazel's parties led to going to three Sex Maniacs Balls - big fetish parties raising money for charity, which included a playpen for the ABs. Then there were magazines available if you knew the right shops. Rubber Life in particular, which always had women in nappies as well as rubber. Nearly all the ABs who put their heads above the parapet were male though - many of them cross-dressing as female ABs of course. There were almost no female ABs at these events. That's one of the biggest differences. These days, there are more female littles than male at some events I go to. And of course, now there's so much stuff you can buy. Back then nobody knew how big the ABDL market was, or how to reach it to sell us stuff. Now there's everything. Happy days.
  15. Mummy bought me a duffel coat a year or so back, just like Paddington Bear. I feel so little when I go out in it, but nobody knows that - apart from Mummy of course. It's too warn unless the weather's cold, so I really look forward to the cold weather so I can take it of its hook in the hallway and put it on. Maybe this morning...
  16. I've been wearing full-time for nearly 3 years. As far as I'm aware I've never wet in my sleep. I always seem to wake up first, at least partly, then even though I've rarely got any physical sensation that I need to wet. It just happens, but for some reason I can't fathom, I always wake up first. It doesn't really bother me though - I go straight back to sleep.
  17. If you're in a dress nobody will have the slightest idea you're in a nappy. Just go out there and enjoy the experience! And the Megamax is the bombproof option, so I'd go for that one. Have a good time!
  18. Hi BabyEnyo. Welcome to the forum. Acceptance takes time, but as long as you want to get there you should be able to do it. There are lots of us on here who have done, and have integrated being AB into our daily life. It should be something to enjoy and delight in, not something to feel guilty about. I've got there, and you should be able to as well. Good luck!
  19. Oh yes, how true. Second childhood here we come. But it's not that compatible with work on high ladders or in tight corners. I have to say, I don't worry too much about which of the things I can't do so easily these days are because I'm in nappies or which are because I'm getting old. After all, it's going to happen anyway...
  20. Yes, that's the way it goes - I'm in a similar place. I've just got to be careful to take action immediately any urges seem to be starting. And very occasionally I hit a situation when I'm stuck with it - generally when I'm out walking Binky. Only two full-on full nappies so far, but I've had a number of near misses as well. The muscles I used to be able to use to hold on are the same ones I no longer use to hold back from wetting, and they don't seem to be in the toolbag any more.
  21. The most important thing IMHO is to have the attitude you already have. None of us will live forever, but it's a lot more pleasant to live the time we've got being healthy rather than being ill a lot of the time. So, eat your greens! I wouldn't worry about how often you need to poo, unless it's less frequently than daily. A diet with lots of veg and natural roughage means your poo will probably be softer and there may be more of it, but that's no bad thing. Loads of veg, minimise the junk food, don't drink sugary drinks, and you're surely on the right road. Get into new habits & junk the old ones. This isn't just me preaching, it's what I did many years ago and I didn't look back. I've been veggie for over 30 years now. Cutting out coffee helps reduce nappy odour too... Good luck with it!
  22. Polyurethane pants don't harden, and last a long time, so you might try them. As far as I'm aware the only ones currently on the market are the Euroflex ones made by Gary - I got some from LLMedico recently. They aren't cheap, and they're a bit noisy. Bit they're great pants! I'm not talking about PUL here - these are pure polyurethane.
  23. Thanks - I've worn them to a number of littles' events now, and they always get some kind comments. I'm still really pleased with them. They go well with the Lego trainers I found on Amazon a while back (that's sneakers if you're from the US)
  24. Another chapter... This morning I woke up feeling particularly little, so when I changed my nappy I added an extra soaker. In the day I'm generally in a cloth nappy with one extra soaker pad, which is pretty thick padding from the point of view of an AB who wears disposables. So when I add an extra soaker, I've got a lot of cloth wedged up between my legs, and that makes for waddling and feeling like a baby all day. It should see me through until teatime at least. Today I'm driving over to see my (biological) mother. I'll be back home in the middle of the afternoon, and then I'll resume building a 7-foot model of the Eiffel Tower out of Meccano. A second childhood has pretty much arrived in a lot of respects. Mummy (my wife this time) was away for a couple of days visiting her own mother, so I've been home alone for a couple of days until she got back last night. I got lots of cuddles and booby last night to make up for her being away. Our daughter is also away for a week, so my baby bottle is in the kitchen, yesterday's plastic pants are hanging up in the bedroom to dry, and when I get home Teddy is coming downstairs too. Happy days...
  25. Good idea to get one, Belle. I've had mine for 3 or 4 years, and it's on the keyring with my car keys. Actually I've never had to use it, as many disabled public toilets are open anyway, but it makes me feel safer to have it with me.
