What is everyone's sleeping position?? I tend to sleep on my side or stomach, and when I use a pacifier, I usually wake up in a puddle of drool... Saliva that leaks out around the pacifier. I've tried sleeping on my back, with a pacifier, but I can't seem to get to sleep like that.

It would be interesting to hear how her dominant personality is expressed in your relationship..

So basically, your doctor gave you a prescription for a pacifier to use at bedtime??? Wow, I need a doctor like that!!! 😁 Does the doc know you wear diapers too?

Sure... It's always interesting to hear about how relationships develop, especially when the sometimes negative aspects of incontinence and/or diapers are involved.

Congrats on reaching your goals!! I know weight loss can be tough... Does the new woman in your life know that you wear diapers? Does that play a factor in your relationship?

Balance.... Details are good, but some stories I read, there are so many details that the story gets lost down a bunny trail...

Reddy... You mentioned that when standing or walking, you're just dripping into your diaper, but it builds up when sitting or laying down. So if you're sitting or lying down for a long time, does the urine just gush out when you stand up? I think you said somewhere here that you were able to use the toilet after sitting for a while, so I assume you can hold it for a few minutes, to get to the toilet. So at this time, are you past the point where pull-ups offer enough absorbency, and diapers are the only option? With your stricture, could you even make it a restroom before you soak yourself? Oops... these were supposed to be two separate posts, but they merged for some reason! 😣

Yikes!! Were you diapered, or did you actually soak your pants? Are you using diapers, or are you trying to get by with pull-ups?

Snarky snarky... (Sorry, couldn't resist. ) 😆😂😁 I think if you drop an email to the clinic in Mexico, they'll be happy to answer your questions. I emailed them a couple times, and they answered my questions promptly.

BrownBobby.... How's your level of incontinence since you've returned from Mexico? From what Reddy wrote recently, it sounds like his incontinence might be diminishing some what... How about you? Still wetting like a few weeks ago? Still diaper dependent? Bedwetting?

I have emailed the clinic before, and the person who responses is a coordinator who works in the office, not a medical person. She will probably tell you that you should have a consult with the doctor, for which there is a fee.

How do you plan on handling the smell, like at work? This is the big part of bowel incontinence that I always wonder about.

I don't know about financial, but I think Reddy mentioned some where around here that after this second trip to Mexico, that's he's out of PTO time at work for a while. So that might be a good thing, forcing him to take a step off the "Total Incontinence Train" for a while. Also, Reddy admitted a few times that he really never tried wearing diapers long term before his incon surgery, because he didn't like wearing diapers if he didn't NEED to wear diapers. Now that he HAS to wear diapers, it will be interesting to see if his perspective changes after a few months in diapers 24/7. He may find that this is enough for him and he doesn't want another level of incontinence added to his life. Time will tell...

I wet the bed until I was around 14 or 15 yrs old. I had rare daytime accidents until about age 6. It was always because I was outside playing and I waited to long when I started to get the urge... My bed wetting started coming back in my 30's, very randomly. Now I wet every night.

The only nerves I know about are when my wife says "You're getting on my Nerves!" 😂🤣😆

Well you may find that your bowel control weakens anyway. I'm sure you have felt (In the past..) that when you clench your urinary sphincter muscle, your bowel sphincter clenches too. Now that you're constantly dripping and probably won't be clenching your urinary sphincter, you may find over time that your bowel muscles weaken. There are some other folks on line who have mentioned this happened to them after becoming bladder incon.

Also, you CAN be bowel incontinent anytime you want... You HAVE to wear diapers all the time now, due to no bladder control. If you take some Dulcolax tablets every once in a while, you WILL have a messy diaper, because you have to stay in diapers 24/7 now.

I think bowel incontinence would be harder to live with in an everyday setting. For instance, I've often stood next to people in a wet diaper and plastic panties, and no one noticed. Try doing that in a messy diaper - They will smell you within minutes. How hard would it be to clean up and change a messy diaper at work? How hard was it to change a wet diaper at work? See how this bladder incontinence works out for a few months. You've said many times that you didn't like wearing diapers if you didn't have to. Well you DO HAVE TO wear diapers now. Forever. So even if you're not bowel incontinent, you still have to wear diapers all the time.

So if you ARE wetting in your sleep without waking, the next question is will 1 diaper last all night? You might need a booster pad in the diaper, or cloth diapers and plastic pants... Time will tell !!!

Did it really drive home the fact that you truly are diaper dependent now? How did you feel about it? Excited, humiliated, happy, sad?? Any regrets?
