  1. It must have been terrifying cookie monster - I am SO afraid of tornados.
  2. I know we have lots of babies and dl's in Texas, and given the events of April 3, I just want to send a shout out. Hope you are all okay. Do you have any stories to share? I often imagine what people would find for miles around if our house got hit by a tornado. "hey Mildred, lookit this, Looks like a giant pair of baby pants!" "hey, and look over here, the baby that wears that romper's gotta be 150 lbs!" Please don't think I am making light of the situation, though. It was a terrible thing and my thoughts and wishes are with you all.
  3. Just for the record, I was referring to common law same-sex marriages, but common law marriages generally. But that aside, I see that Uganda is tabling legislation making homosexuality and trans gendered behaviours as illegal and subject to life imprisonment or execution, I would suggest that dressing up in diapers and pretty little baby clothes would qualify. Religious intolerance is a very dangerous slippery slope - be careful who you persecute, you may be next on the list .........
  4. While I haven't used the babykins rubber panties, ( I really must try them!) everything else I have purchased from this retailer has been excellent. There service is A-1 and they are warm and friendly. Thanks Christine for an amazing review 1
  5. I can't wear mine fresh out of the drier, because currently we don't have one ( well we have it, we just don't have the electricity to run it) so all mine go on the line, year round. However, when they some inside, get fluffed and folded and are clean and soft and oh so fresh smelling I just want to do the same thing as Duck, and roll around naked in em like a dog. Oh what bliss! I haven't used Dreft, but maybe I should give it a whirl! oooooooh i love my diapers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh, the other thing, I can't wear my lolidot plastic pants any more cuz they underwent a catastrophic failure... i must get a couple of new pairs, there is something about them that just reminds me of.... um, an earlier time...........
  6. I told my therapist right up front that this is not something I want to have "cured". She was very understanding and gently suggested that if I ever did want to do something about it she would help, but I am certain this is not something that can be cured. Okay, so first of all, it is my coping mechanism and I like it, and it is something I want to do and I really don't care too much if people think I am a little weird. But second of all, I have tried many times in my life to drop my baby side ( I am VERY AB!) and I just don't believe it can be done. A walk down the diaper aisle at the supermarket, a whiff of baby powder, a glance at a cute little baby dress, oh heck, even just seeing another baby reminds me of who and what I am, and I figuratively fold at the knees. Shame on your therapist for being so judgmental. Oh, btw I think a good therapist can really help - I am doing much better I think because she lets me talk talk talk and I have sort of figured my own way through what has been a nasty depression. I haven't quite got her to agree about the five onions, she still does seem stuck on 9.8 metres per second per second
  7. I'm sure you look absolutely adorable ! I love to do the same thing, and sometimes, yes, it just works, and I come out and do a little fashion parade for my partner (mummy), and if the stars are all properly aligned she will say something like "don't you look cute" and my day will be made !
  8. I'm sorry, but I don't quite understand the point you are making here. What second class of citizen is this, and how or why are we trying to preserve or create this second class? Please explain so that I may understand your point. I always thought that Canada was about a single class of people, especially when compared to the United States, reflecting what many Americans view as our socialist ways, in spite of our current conservative government. Things like universal health care, marriage rights for all including common law relationships, a national pension plan, multi-culturalism, no history of slavery, and economic "social safety nets" are about a single class of citizen. And please correct me if I am wrong, but aren't US laws surrounding property rights very similar ( "palimony") to Canada's, with both legal systems being built on the framework of British common law? If you cohabitate with someone in a relationship that creates an economic dependence or sharing or property, I believe the courts at least attempt to equitably distribute wealth and property for both parties. Again, I am certainly no expert in this area, so please help me out with this one. Btw, I am not suggesting that Canada's model is the right one ( although I like it) nor perfect by any means. Our relationship between our First Nations peoples and non-natives is far from model, and our healthcare system needs work. But, on the other hand, our unemployment and deficits remain comparatively low. Please help me understand this reference to a second class, and how that relates to our small population.
  9. What a lovely, happy story to come across. That is so cool, you really made my day! And I would second the advise to take it slow - well it seems like that is what you are already doing, and it sure seems to be working. GOOD ON YOU !
  10. @ curiosity, I am so sorry to hear of your beatings. It is a credit to for you to say an occasional spanking might be fun. NO child deserves to be beaten. Please accept my warm, gentle electronic hug missy
  11. My partner and I have been HAPPILY married for 7 years now. We have friends ( a hetero couple) who have both been married before, and for now anyway, they prefer to me unmarried. It is their choice. Free choice. I personally enjoy the commitment of marriage, and am proud to proclaim that we are married. And as far as I am concerned, if I am denied something because of my sexual preference, then that is discrimination and it is a matter of human rights. It is largely symbolic though, let's face it, if you live common law with someone for long enough, the courts treat you as married with respect to property rights etc, at least here in Canada.
  12. Actually that got a quick court challenge and was quickly defeated
  13. I was thinking of you folks as I read this article in the today's online edition of Financial Times. The paragraph starts: "There were signs a group of tripe A-rated governments, including Germany, Finland and the Netherlands, were hardening their stance towards Athens". Now, I think the author meant this to refer to "triple" A rated governments, not "tripe" A rated governments. anyone can make a mistake! brought to you by the letter "L"
  14. In Canada, we feel VERY superior, well, you know, of course we do in our own polite , quiet way. Seriously though, congratulations, it is indeed a huge leap for human rights. Of course, WA is kind of close to Canada, so is Vermont for that matter, and um, New York, and you know well Maine, and Mass and NH and,,, well, you sort of get the point. (even you bunch in Iowa aren't all that far away, Robb) Maybe y'all should join us; you could be like the 11th, 12th, etc provinces! Just think, no republican primaries..... and maybe you could help us turf out that asshole Harper, who would love nothing more than to ban same sex marriage.
  15. And yes, technology is nuts - my first usb flash drive was a 256 meg and cost me about $70 US. I think they give those out in cereal boxes these days
  16. The unfortunate answer here might just be yes- I find it to be particularly unfortunate as I am afraid it describes me........ Geez, I hate to get rid of perfectly good, or very cool, or potentially useful some day, or maybe I will fit into it again some day, or maybe it will be worth something some day, stuff)
  17. welcome indeed - hope you find what you are looking for here- i find it to be a wonderful supportive community
  18. I am sorry Smokey, I think you are wrong on this one. I often buy stuff and have it shipped to other than my billing address, usually gifts. That is the whole reason for having a separate billing and shipping address section when you order! The courier should never have anything to do with the buyer's billing address. They are given an address to ship to and they do just that, with remarkable accuracy. It appears in this case that the merchant made an error, in shipping to the customer's billing address rather than the requested shipping address. It is the merchant's responsibility to fix this, assuming of course that the customer did indeed provide the correct shipping address. End of story. I did, however, have a bit of trouble when I moved and hadn't updated my billing address - but in that case it was with PayPal, and they, understandably had a flag go up when there was a mismatch - my mistake, my problem. The lesson: it is best to take care of business promptly! Personally, I like to know about what merchants are doing - anybody can make a mistake, it is what is done to correct the mistake that speaks to a company's worth. Thanks dj for sharing your experience- I will certainly be VERY careful should I decide to ever order from them........
  19. After I wet my chair once, I put a changing pad on the seat, and then a flannel receiving blanket on top. Not glamourous, but effective. It is only really an issue if I go online first thing in the morning before I change..... well, some people will never change!
  20. As my illustrious colleague the bear notes, we do seem to be making a bit of a mountain out of a wee mole hill. In spite of lots of higher education, including a Bachelor of Education, my grammar and spelling are seldom perfect. Also, when I am communicating in writing on the internet, I do tend to be a bit more relaxed about the rules. I believe it is common to expect less than perfect grammar and spelling online. Having said that, we do have the wonderful modern luxury of spell check, so poor spelling should be less of a problem. But, and I think this is a BIG BUT ( not a big butt, which is something else), not everyone here has the benefit of a long successful education, so why can't we be a bit tolerant? And, we are not writing university essays subject to the rules of style! Furthermore, this is a recreational forum ( isn't it?) and couldn't, shouldn't we be more relaxed? Oh, and one more thing, if I happen to correct your spelling or grammar, please don't think of me as a Nazi, which is a horrible term to use in this context anyway, but rather as a helpful old lady who used to be a teacher. Please don't scream at me for correcting you, but either ignore me, or maybe even say thank you. Thank you btw, if you try, i am sure you can find numerous offences in my little paragraph.......... ps, if you type "color" and I suggest you mean "colour" my tongue just might perhaps be lodged firmly with my cheek
  21. hmmm, sounds a lot like malpractice to me !
  22. i don't fink he wuz old enuff to dwink... let alone dwive Seriously though, I am with Loveable , there is NO excuse for drinking and driving. I would like to bring this guy in front of the WCOAB (worldwide council of adult babies) and have him de- diapered for two years as well.
  23. I will try again. I agree wholeheartedly that spanking is wonderful therapy. It lets the guilt flow away, it is sublimely erotic, and it allows a complete transfer of power to the spanker. If I have been naughty, mummy ( my partner) sends me to the corner of the kitchen, has me pull down my diapers and plastic pants. She then takes this big flat spatula and spanks me,, not too hard at first. She tells me to admit to my naughtiness, and apologize. Of course I defiantly refuse, and the intensity of the spanking increases until I totally submit, admit to my bad behaviour, and apologize. It is so cathartic, what a wonderful release! It might not be for everybody, nor qualify as "legitimate" psychological therapy, but hey, it sure is nice !. Let's face it, there are lots of things we find therapeutic - in my case fishing, gardening, or even going for a walk with my doggies is therapeutic, each in it's own way. Yes, spanking is a delicious therapy, and again in my case, I think it nicely augments the formal psychological therapy that I receive on a regular basis, cuz, well, you know, I sure don't claim to be the mental health poster child, or um baby........
  24. OOOOOH sounds like fun !
  25. Oh, I adore training pants, but I don't have any! I will check out your recommendations- I am almost 2 ! so I might not need diapers all the time. It is just nice to wear something secure like trainers. Do you know if anyone makes terry trainers?
