  1. Hi folks. This is Oddly - the almost perennial lurker. For the last year or so, I began writing about growing up in nappies and all that kind of thing. I have always been 'odd' - hence the name and I found the experience oddly cathartic. Well I finished it a few weeks ago and submitted it for publishing and now that it is out there and other people are reading my story I feel both validated and exposed, but mainly just validated. I was one of those rare kids who started school still in nappies, unable (or unwilling) to get dry as quick as others. Dredging though my memories has also been eye-opening. Some of my memories clearly had altered some and couldn't have been exactly as I remembered them. Some I also had the wrong age attached to them, so sorting them out chronologically has been fun - and a tad confusing. In the end, I felt happy that it was out there in print and in some ways, it felt like it was a 'final completion' of that time of my life from 3 to 16 years. They were largely my formative years, back in a time where the term 'adult baby' was unknown and yet the experience of it was not. As I look back, I see that acceptance of nappies in older kids and teens has only changed slightly for the better. Sure, there are more options out there now than the pinned cloth ones and plastic pants I grew up with, but I don't think the attitude towards them have necessarily improved much - if at all. I've linked to the book on Amazon and AB DIscovery if any of you care to read. If you comment, please be kind, as it is my life out there! Also, rather obviously, names have been changed to protect the innocent, the guilty and the bedwetting! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HYDX38X https://abdiscovery.com.au/australian-baby-a-life-of-nappies-bottles-and-struggles/ oh yeah... I'm a sissy baby and (finally) proud of it!
  2. Its a public holiday today (Australia Day) and so my wife and I sat up late last night. I bought the Coffee with Rosie book and I read it first and then so did my wife. In
  3. Bettypooh... 'I'm not a therapist, but..." I am pretty sure that most good therapists would not concentrate on the diaper issue. we look at it because of our own fetishes and issues, but in the scheme of his problems, it is a relatively minor one. Sure, wearing a diaper at his age is NOT good and something that should be fixed if possible, but I am sure most would agree that his social alienation and biting are much bigger problems. The diaper is just a part of the problem, not THE problem. The other side of the issue is that a kid who bites will grow up and his friends will forget about it and move on. BUT they will remember he wore diapers. It is odd enough to stay in their minds. I am glad it is not me, but I'd still try to get rid of the diapers. it is not going to be goodin the short term and at some point he is going to have to stop or face being an adult in diapers and having to justfy it to himself and others. sub-atomic particle interaction is less complex than this question. There is no equation to refer to....
  4. I wear diapers 24/7 Because of that, my 'shape' is the same all the time. Without a nappy I am certainly a bit slimmer but hardly noticeable. Because I am 24/7 there is no 'bulk' to see - just me!
  5. Ive never heard of ABDL fat shaming. We've all seen the diaper models, but we also seem the personal pics and to be fair... most of us do not look like models or even close.
  6. I find that having a nappy dream is normally a bad thing. I struggle to keep my nappy and baby desires under control at the best of times and when I have a dream it can be very powerful, vivid and can cause me to lose my way. I get them moderately often and have learned to masturbate to at least drain the sexual energy it has created, but I am left witth a strong regressive need and feeling that will dog me all day and possibly the day after. I find them disturbing but it seems like I am alone in this...
  7. Which is probably why the only research to date has been via PhD students where the funding cost is pretty small and limited to student stipends and the little bit of support for surveys. As for the benefit to society I would say that we routinely research and support areas that affect very small groups. Spina Bifida for example affects 1 in a thousand births or around the same ratio as ABDLs - if we accept that hypothesis. Some cancers have an even lower rate. Transgenderism is around
  8. Since I am an Einsteinian 'determinist', I like answers and structures to explain 'why' in my world. I want to know not just who I am but why I am. I want to know why I am
