  1. Kind of related, but I'm curious. For those who have to or choose to wear 24/7 how do you deal with the gel-heavy diapers swelling? Maybe you just have to get used to it but for me a Bambino Classico with a booster becomes very difficult to walk in normally when it's fairly wet. I would think this new diaper would be a problem for day time wearing but again, may just be that I'm not used to it.
  2. Tapes, leaks, and sagging have since become way less of a worry since I started using a pair of fairly tight fitting ultraflex pants from fetwear. Really improves the diaper wearing experience for me.
  3. Sounds like they're kind of in the realm of the fit of the medium ATN.
  4. That's good news for me. I'm pretty short waisted and much prefer lower rise diapers like Molicare. The regular Bambinos are a decent fit but I'd like them a bit lower rise so this sounds perfect.
  5. In my experience leaking seems to be more about the person than the diaper. Abena and Dry 24/7 always will leak on me always. No idea what exactly it is about them that causes it but I have never had them not leak. I use vinyl pants so it's not as big a deal as it sounds, but it is a consistent problem. Bambinos, Molicare, Tranquility, Attends, and Wellness don't leak, I think it has to do with the fit. Hopefully the new Bambinos work for me the same way the old ones do. My samples should be here Wednesday, I'll post my thoughts when I get 'em.
  6. Yeah this is why I have sought out, with not much luck, an east coast retailer.
  7. Bambino has the right idea. Don't announce or put something up for sale until you actually have it to sell.
  8. I ordered a sample along with a sample of the Active Ultra, Teddy, and Quadro booster all of which I have been wanting to order samples of. This is the perfect excuse to go ahead and do that.
  9. Those look like they're pretty much ready to go. Dare I hope they'll have them available to ship as soon as they've been named?
  10. I don't think they did, Secure did. I think that might be why they're coming out with a new product in part. Maybe something they have more control over? Just speculation on my part.
  11. Yeah, just offering some other suppliers. Not saying any one is better than any other. Just offering some options.
  12. It might not be as descriptive as you would like but the item description includes "Super Soft Silent Medical Grade Vinyl".
  13. In terms of presentation of information about products by the retailer, I have been very happy with Fetware, who offer a goof amount of information on all of their products including thickness of the material in questions, a description of the material, and a full host of very accurate measurements for any given product. For example.
  14. FYI, I figured out how to get it to search entire posts not just topic titles. I still don't think it's working correctly but if you select "display as posts" instead of "display as topic list" in the advanced search it will search the entire post. The match drop down doesn't seem to have any effect on this behavior, as I stated above. Actually did it by accident since when searching forums I never use the display as posts search function as I'm usually looking for a topic not a specific post. Weird.
  15. That's good news for me. The old mediums are a bit big on me.
  16. So how are the purported changes?
  17. Been waiting on the re-stock to order some samples in all the styles they sell I haven't tried yet.
  18. I recently got the polyurethane "Ultraflex" pants from Fetware, as I mention in the other thread. I have never felt comfortable just peeing normally in disposable diaper. Even just moving around normally, particularly after wetting, always would worry me. I'm somewhat fastidious and am always super worried about leaking even a little. It doesn't happen often, but I have had disposables leak a bit from around the legs. In particular this tends to happen with Dry 24/7 and Abena X-Plus. There's also the problem of diapers drooping as they get heavier from wetting. Having protective pants over the diaper eliminates all worry of those minor leaks. Between the Ultraflex pants and a onesie, also from Fetware, I suddenly find myself much more comfortable than I ever have before in diapers. No leak worries and the pants and onesie completely supports even something like a fairly wet Dry 24/7 with a booster from drooping.
  19. Okay, a quick review. Everything is top notch quality. The first pair of protective pants I ever ordered where the ones XP Medical sells and XP are great folks and have excellent service, but those pants are really uncomfortable. The elastics are so abrasive and the lined nylon is stiff and equally rough. The Fetware pants are in contrast very very comfortable. Sizing wise. Everything fits perfectly. Ignore the S, M, L, XL, etc. Look at their actual measurements on their site, measure yourself, and order based on that. That's what I did and even though I ordered all different "sizes" everything I ordered had roughly the same measurements. They are very accurate. Just a word though on the made for disposable vinyl pants they sell. They will work very well for lower cut diapers like Molicare, Tranquility, and probably Bambinos. They will still work for higher rise diapers like Abenas and Dry 24/7 but they will not contain the waist which will be sticking out of the top of the pants. I would suggest getting the made for cloth pants if you wear those brands. I wear all those brands and cloth, which is why I ordered both types of pants and am very happy with both.
  20. I posted some reviews of diapers over in the DL forum. Might be useful to you. I cover the difference between the Super Plus and Super somewhat. http://www.dailydiap...l=&fromsearch=1 In terms of your questions specifically, Thickness/absorbency. The Abena numbering system is in reference to that. The 4's, aka X-Plus, are the thickest. Deltaforms the 3 the next and so forth. This is as best as I understand it. Super Plus - these all come in purple regardless of size. They're all plastic and one of the thicker diapers on the market. Super - these come in I believe blue (s), light purple (m), and purple (l). They are significantly thinner than the Super Plus and have the cloth sides. Premium Soft - I think this is basically the cloth backed version of the Super Plus. I'm not sure though as I have never seen them for sale and never tried them. Probably never will as I have no interest in cloth backed diapers. They kind of look like Abenas with white backing and blue markings. Comfort - this is actually a whole line from what I can tell. I haven't really seen them for sale anywhere but I think they are all cloth backed. I'm not sure exactly how they differ but one of them is the pink one pictured in the reviews section. I'd suggest trying the Molicare Super Plus if you like the Super. The rest of the line, doesn't really seem all that worthwhile to track down.
  21. I'd say, if ordering from that site you're better off getting the diaper and the waterproofing seperate. Something more like this: http://adult-baby-shop.eu/product_info.php?cPath=136_145&products_id=640 and this: http://adult-baby-shop.eu/product_info.php?cPath=137_152&products_id=821 but, overall the site seems to sell more novelty stuff than things that are actually to be used. That may be what you're looking for though.
  22. I ended up ordering size small Ultraflex with exposed elastics, size medium for the made for disposable pants, and a size small onsie. I'll report back, as I said when I get everything. My guess would Wednesday or Thursday for delivery. It'll be interesting to see how everything fits.
  23. I haven't read the story yet, but just wanted to note, this exchange got such a chuckle out of me. Particularly because the first time I read it I thought lonewolf was authentically suggesting that the character be "mailed by a bear" instead of it being a typo of "mauled by a bear".
  24. Well for me it wasn't so much that the size I needed wasn't available as the sizing was confusing. The actual measurements of the sizes are all over the place. You might want a Small in one style but a Large in a different style. Even weirder, the Ultraflex pants are completely different sizing depending on if you get the enclosed or exposed elastics. I confirmed that this is the case with Fetware and they say their measurements are all very accurate and correct. So the Ultraflex enclosed elastic Small (35-40") is about the same size as the Ultraflex Large (35-42") with the exposed elastic. I have encountered inconsistent sizing with clothing before but that's kind of a crazy amount of difference. Not that that has any bearing on the quality of their products, it's just a bit confusing at first.
