New to DailyDiapers, wondering a few things!
WBDaddy replied to CradleQuill's topic in Critiques and Writer's Discussion
I love how the "vignette" has now become "flash fiction". -
I suspect she'll be wearing diapers on more occasions than bed here. Special trip into town, conversations about her holding it too long instead of going pee when she needs to?

bedwetting Afternoon in the Chokey (Updated 1-23-25)
WBDaddy replied to SashaButters's topic in Story and Art Forum
I fell victim to this back in the early 2000s when I was a pizza delivery guy, trying my damnedest to make enough money to keep my family off welfare. Fuckin' cop didn't even have a radar gun in the car. Told me on the scene that he "got" me doing 60 in a 45 and it "took this long to catch up" with me. In court he claimed he paced me for a quarter mile at that speed. Straight up lie. I got him on appeal - the judge looked at him and said "Obviously you didn't pace him, so I see no reason why I should believe anything else you say." -
Ah, okay. It wasn't entirely clear, but it makes sense with this explanation.

Well, unless she's younger than a year old, you probably meant he was four years younger?

Okay, so I'm just going to formally apologize to the author here. When this story was first posted, I just assumed it was going to be a diaperfur romp, and I dismissed it out of hand, figuring there was no point in me trying to critique something that didn't interest me. I just read chapter 1, and boy how wrong I was. Nothing further other than I'm enjoying how comically you're leaning into the PI, Minnesota, and mafia tropes right out of the gate, but I have a hell of a lot of catching up to do in the meantime.

And the hammer falls. Gotta applaud the sister for her ability to seize on an opportunity she never knew she'd get out of this deal. For what it's worth, the poor girl has been in those diapers for hours now. I can't help but think that she would have, out of necessity, peed in them by now, since she wasn't allowed anywhere near a toilet this entire time.

Are you sure about the gender-specific? Because I recall Luvs (P&G) being the first to market with boy/girl diapers in the late 80's. In fact, I just checked this. Luvs launched their gender-specific diapers in '88, Huggies in '89.

People did use heavy cotton "training" underwear prior to that. It was the inspiration for Pull-Ups in the first place.

I just chalked it up to the "babysitter" willfully disregarding the smell in order to try and coerce her into confessing she needs a change, or in this case being able to make a huge deal out of it when she "discovers" that she pooped in her diaper and didn't say anything.
-
Depends on your goal. If you want this to be a fairly short story, fast pace is good. If you wanted it to be longer, probably would have been good to stretch this sequence out a bit.
-
Pace is breakneck, and the plot is familiar, but by all means, let's see how you spin it!

Unfair: A Diaper Dimension Novel (Chapter 129 Uploaded!)

AI Image Generator For Story Covers
WBDaddy replied to LGGrace's topic in Critiques and Writer's Discussion
There are ten thousand artists on DeviantArt ready and available to draw a high-quality version of what you want. They might even surprise you with a better version, one you hadn't even contemplated. Using AI is screwing them out of a job. And yes, you will either get an outright rejection for "inappropriate content" or a really shitty version with extra fingers on hands and a bunch of other crap that makes it obvious that you used AI because you refused to pay for a real artist. Sorry for coming hard about this, but people using AI to create for them is literally going to destroy what's left of the creative arts market as the tech gets better. And that's a truly, truly horrible thing for people whose passion is creating. As a musician, I'm more than a little terrified of AI advancing on our craft and sucking up the meager crumbs that those of us not named Taylor Swift have left to eat from. Or, hey, you can keep contributing to that demise, and eventually you'll be replaced as a storywriter too. -
The Girl Who Wanted to Wear Diapers (Ch. 46- 06/25/25)
WBDaddy replied to AB_DeLane's topic in Story and Art Forum
Nope. Immersion Diuresis is a thing, but it's more the thing where your whole body, or at least a whole limb, needs to be immersed to trigger it. Why you feel the need to pee when you get into a pool or a bathtub. Hand only ain't enough to trigger it. But it's a fun element in a diaper story, so who cares if it's a reach?- 455 replies

Another play at trademarking a community term
WBDaddy replied to Crinklz Kat's topic in Scoop The Poop
Honestly, L4B has a reputation for getting angry and defiant in the face of community backlash. Let's not forget the Twitter war he waged over the whole TG nonsense. That dude is NOT the type to back down over being yelled at on social media. The only way this shakes out is if he gets sued, IMO. -
As someone who is trying like hell to break the rust off and get back in the game, this is super-useful information. I have a rep for high-quality material, but that rep is mostly from material I produced a decade ago or longer, and it competes with a rep I've gained lately of being unable to finish what I started, which is primarily because I hold myself to such a high standard that I can't just relax and have a chapter where I advance the plot without a bunch of fireworks. Either way, it's good that someone went through the trouble of figuring out how best to monetize, because back when I was churning out 5K or more per day (especially if my muse caught fire), it was all for free. I made zilch off any of it. And the gods know damn well I could have used it at that point in my life.

I'm sure it's in my backups somewhere. That was "The Pariah", which might be difficult to find online, though if it's out there I'm sure the google sleuths on this thread will dig it up.

I'll have to look in my files. Stay tuned (and don't be shy about a reminder if I don't come back with an answer right away)

On my Patreon. I'll see what I can do about dusting it off and fixing the ending (the biggest problem I had with it was that I didn't take the off-ramp I made for myself)

How man words is too many for one update?
WBDaddy replied to spark's topic in Critiques and Writer's Discussion
Agree on the chapter. Disagree on the chopping up a vignette. I posted something here a while back that, had I given everything at once, it would have ruined the mood, and that particular piece was 100% mood, because it was a wistful tale of a beautiful relationship ended by one person passing. -
All My Mother's Rules (Ch. 70 & Epilogue - 2/13/24)
WBDaddy replied to AB_DeLane's topic in Completed Stories
I liked chapter 40 a lot. I don't think the epilogue was necessary. A paragraph of MC narrative talking about what she was getting ready to do that summer (forward in time enough to where she had that info) would have sufficed. Minor quibble for what was otherwise a really, really well-executed story. Good job.- 1,108 replies
