  1. How about we all just accept our differences and get along? OF COURSE someone who is forced to be incontinent won't understand why a person would want to injure themselves to become incontinent. And OF COURSE, there will invariably be a number of AB/DLs who want to be incontinent.

I personally have had minor incontinence problems, though almost invariably just close calls - certainly nothing that would necessitate constantly wearing a diaper. However, it is helpful to do so "just in case", if for no other reason but peace of mind. I have to be extremely careful not to wet the bed.

Entirely unrelated to that, however, is a fetish of sorts, which causes me to want to wear them.

People on all sides of the spectrum. We should stop making distinctions unless it's relevant or necessary.

Also, how about not flaming whenever we disagree with someone. That'd be great.

  2. Thanks for the kind words.

as Phantom above me has said, it's just the negative aspects i'm pointing out here, I do realize there is a possibility of positive ones.

The bottom line is, people don't take BDSM to work/friends/family, nor watersports.

Why is a diaper fetish suddenly different?

  3. I tend to just listen to what sounds good to me!

Limiting oneself to genres is somewhat stifling.

    Some bands as an example:

    The Smashing Pumpkins

    Placebo

    Death Cab for Cutie

    Ministry

    The Cure

    Skinny Puppy

    Bauhaus

    Blur

    TV on the Radio

    Nine Inch Nails

    Einstuerzende Neubauten

    Modest Mouse

    Radiohead/Thom Yorke

    Deftones

    Coil

    The Postal Service

    The Long Winters

    Iron & Wine

    The Bird and the Bee

    Depeche Mode

    VNV Nation

    David Bowie

    Alien Sex Fiend

    Johnny Cash

    Occasional bits of random 1960s/1970s/1980s/1990s rock/top 40.

    (You get the idea.)

  4. That's rather interesting... I wonder if a seven-year-old child wearing diapers wouldn't just want to continue? The child has reached a certain level of sentience at that point which would be hard for a parent to compete with, should they attempt to make such a decision. All sorts of psychological/child welfare issues could come up with that. I know here in the US, as drastic as it might seem, child welfare courts would be stepping in, if a child of that age was simply not toilet-trained. I'm really surprised there isn't more of a social uproar about it.

  5. I've noticed, that a lot of people with even some of the most troubling fetishes will respond to this sort of thing very negatively. I can cite two of my girlfriends, and a couple of friends. One of my girlfriends, was into autoerotic asphyxiation, but apparently my wearing diapers was a sign that I was truly depraved, and in need of serious help. Another... had a bloodletting fetish (which I thought was a bit dangerous as well), and her reaction was in general more favorable, but she didn't understand that it was non-sexual for me, she seemed to think that it was something I should never take outside of erotic play. Another of my girlfriends, didn't have a fetish at all, and was quite willing to try it. (What the fuck?)

One of my friends, made fun of me incessantly over it. I think he thought it was a joke.

Another, she just laughed and moved on.

The whole thing seems very uneven. Telling people about diapers and about... gender issues is a different thing entirely as well.

One person responded favorably to telling them about gender issues, but rejected the diapers...

Another, one of the girlfriends who responded well to the diapers, was totally against gender issues.

This leads me to believe that we're not really at a point as a society where people can understand other people, and some people are still complaining that it's TOO politically correct.

    Strange.

  6. The guys who do this are really accomplishing nothing more than bringing the hate down upon themselves, and suspicion upon every other non-female creature around them.

Giving women further reason to believe that they're just seen as potential targets doesn't accomplish anything except pissing them off, and pissing people like myself off. I've gotten a few unsolicited PMs, but nothing really serious. I agree with Saotome that the sweeping generalizations don't really help anything, however i'd wager that there are only a few who are responsible for all this, and maybe we should... as a community, male, female, or everything in between, start taking a more vocal and more harsh stance on it. Men included - if you want to be excluded from that sweeping generalization, then show these women that you're with them, and take a vocal stand against this crap. It seems that only the women mostly (but like 3 or 4 men... of hundreds) have stood up and said anything, and some of the men have even tried to downplay their problems!

    I'm with you.

(as an aside: this is a rather disjointed rant, so forgive me if it seems a bit odd or a bit off the mark)
