  1. The loneliness doesn't have to be necessarily. There are all sorts of clubs and whatnot that cater to the fetish crowd. There are also actual events for the AB/DL crowd that you can ATTEND (heh, lil' joke) and meet people that share similar interests. Would I change my views on diapers if I could? Not sure. I enjoy wearing a diaper so much that it would be impossible for me to speculate. As far as fetishes go, its really harmless. Sure, it is socially unacceptable. Most people who need to wear diapers would do anything to stay out of them. We have the freedom to choose if we want to wear a diaper today. Do you really want to be accepted by the cookie-cutter society out there? Those Normals tend to be boring and disinteresting. There is certainly nothing wrong with being different.
  2. Terrible No, really, I ate way too much junk yesterday. Between candies and chocolates and all sorts of other junk. Oooofff! Its a wonder I made it out of bed.
  3. I catch myself remembering things like they happened yesterday and then saying...'wait a minute....that was 15 years ago!' Its funny...I don't really feel like I have gotten any older than..say 20 yrs old. I still have similar thoughs and feelings that I had a decade ago. It sure is funny how fast time flies by. Its tough, but I try and make life interesting by finding and exploring things about people and history and stuff like that. Life can be really fun, IF you let it be. Hey...we can't take life too seriously...you can't get out of it alive!!
  4. That Christmas tree fire is downright nasty. Sure does'nt take long.
  5. Had a case of ATN Tranquility diapers last year. They were quite decent as I recall. They tend to get loose the longer you wear them so I would usually wear them with a pair of tight fitting plastic pants.
  6. If you mean you have bedwetting episodes from time to time that are beyond your control then you may want to get checked out by a doctor. Bedwetting can be a sign of diabetes as well as some other ailments.
  7. I used to be so paranoid that people might hear my diaper rustle while I was walking around outside. Not anymore though. People are too caught up in their own problems to worry about what kind of underwear you are wearing. The only time anyone has mentioned anything to me about wearing diapers was when I was'nt even wearing a diaper at the time. I was bent over tying my shoe and the backside of my pull-up was exposed a little bit. My friends wife saw and said it looked like I was wearing a diaper. We had a good chuckle over that one. I've worn diapers in all sorts of social situations as well. Parties, movie get togethers, work, etc, etc. Not once as anyone mentioned anything about diapers at all. It could be that they have heard and are too embarassed themselves to say anything. Or they might have heard and didn't recognise the sound as being a diaper. Who knows for sure really.
  8. Wow. If you came to the board looking for folks to try and convince you not to wear diapers, you have come to the wrong place We all wear diapers and act the way we do for different reasons. I am not much of an AB, but I like to wear diapers because they comfort me and make me feel safe and secure. For yourself, you have to examine your motivations and reasons behind your AB tendencies. You should also know that being an adult baby or diaper lover is completely harmless. There is nothing wrong with wanting to wear bibs and bonnets. You are not a freak for having these feelings and your interests are shared all over the world.
  9. Small, cold, surrounded by mountains, busy, smell of money.
  10. ^I'm afraid not >Wondering why guitar wrote such a strange message vAre you wondering the same thing?
  11. I like most FPS (First Person Shooter) games. I have an Xbox and will likely be buying a 360 when they become a bit more reasonable in price. For my computer I enjoy playing Counterstrike.
  12. Lol. Suffer our wrath. I just got it!! Well...I don't find anything sexy about myself or other men in diapers. I prefer to admire the fairer sex when they are nicely 'protected'
  13. ^Going to a few get togethers. Nothing too formal. <Watching Harry Potter and blogging on the 'net. vAny big plans for the new year?
  14. I always wear a diaper to bed. My main brand is Attends, but I also wear Abena X-Plus or Tena from time to time.
  15. Cars??? WHOOOboy have I owned a lot. I am 32. I have owned 45 cars. Yep. FORTYFIVE. Like Dolly's alot of them were one step removed from the junkyard but I have matured a bit since my teens and twentys and have a couple of good ones now. My wife has a 2005 Dodge SX2.0 and I drive a 92 Jeep Cherokee. No chance that I would buy personal plates to advertise my diapered status
  16. While it may be fair to say that the institutions tend to be the driving force behind the adult diaper market, it is also accurate to say that they are handcuffed by their cost accountants and money managers. The BOD will dictate what type of diapers they use long before the needs of the patient will be taken into consideration. That would tend to apply to the cheaper, institutional brand types of diapers. It is the general public who tends to dictate the quality of the more expensive brands. However, given that the majority of todays incontinence sufferers are elderly and on fixed incomes, they really cannot steer the market towards superior product development due to a lack of funds. They want to use the more expensive brands, but they can only afford a cheaper product. So who does that leave in the diaper market? We all know that there are vastly superior diapers on the market. That would leave the younger, working public who can afford a superior product and the wealthy elderly who use superior diapers. The majority of us here who use diapers for pleasure belong to the working public group. We can afford to purchase a superior brand of diaper BUT we use so little during the course of a month or even a year that it would be unrealistic to say that we would have any input in product development. Our voice is too small. I use one diaper a day. I would guess that the typical AB/DL uses around that number as well. One diaper a day at 1.20 a diaper translates into $440 per year. Some days I use more diapers, but I would say that over the course of a year that would'nt amount to more than 60 dollars true cost. So I spend $500 a year on diapers. How much would a truly incontinent person spend on diapers per year? Say they went through 5 per day. That is a conservative estimate, I believe the number to be higher but its a good start. 5 diapers per day at a buck twenty per diaper equals $2200 per year in diapers. So where does that leave the AB/DL community? It leaves us well behind the majority of diaper users. Our voice is lumped in with the rest of them. When we call and ask for a better diaper no matter the cost, others call and say they want a cheaper product that they can afford. Still others call and say they are completely satisfied with the brand they are using and not to change a thing. Companies will try and satisfy the majority of consumers and make money while doing it. It wouldn't make sense for them to pile a whole load of cash into a market that just isn't there in big numbers.
  17. You go Dolly!! That is a great idea.
  18. I refuse to be labeled. Too often we try to put people or things into nice tidy little boxes and make sure that they stay where they are put. Having an open mind willing to experience new things is one of the keys to true happiness in life. I see it every day. People stuck in their miserable existence completely unable or unwilling to change or take a chance on a new experience. These people eat the same food, watch the same shows, play the same games, and vacation in the same spot year after year. They are so afraid of new experiences that they are paralyzed, unable to cope. I believe that the majority of people here are willing to try new things as well. The diapers we wear are a common link. Thats all. Its the diversity that makes this community great. Unfortunately I still have my boundaries. Everyone does. I try to push those boundaries from time to time. Sometimes it works out and I discover a brand new enjoyment. Sometimes it bites me in the ass. However, its the discovery that makes it all worth while.
  19. What Morv and Littleone said....
  20. Actually, val onwheels said the reason she was let go was because business was slow. Unfortunately thats all it takes for some of the less reputable companies to shed unwanted employees. Its a shoddy business practice but commonplace in this day and age. val onwheels might have a case if employees with less seniority remained with the company after her lay-off. Then she could pursue the issue with the labour relations board or what ever may be equivalent given we do not know from where she hails from. Something else to consider is that she may not want the management to know about her condition. It may be a small company and walls have ears if you know what I mean. I certainly wouldn't want the people where I work to know that I use diapers.
  21. Wow, what a find that would be. I wonder if the dude getting rid of the car was annoyed that he left his diapers behind
  22. So I was walking into a auto parts store in the big city and as I passed by this station wagon I noticed that the back was filled with bags of adult diapers. There must have been 15 or 20 of them. I must have looked like a bloody idiot staring into the car like that. I was amazed that they took no effort to conceal them in any way. I've been buying diapers for at least 16 years now and that is the FIRST time I have ever seen someone else in possesion or purchasing adult diapers before.
  23. Check out some of your local medical supply stores. They usually have a good selection of diapers. My brand is Attends which can be found in some stores, but not as readily as Depend can.
