When I was growing up, diaper covers were something that went over your plastic pants or disposable that were different styles and such with designs etc. and were not water proof. Guess things change.

I wear the abena xplus mediums to work, run 8 to 1 change, then good till i get home. Of course where I work I wear sweats at work every day, so don't have to worry about anyone seeing anything anyways.

Quietly waits for an answer. umm.. well.. ok.. not TOO quietly.. this has been an ongoing problem. I use the abri lets as well, and they seem to have fairly decent pass thru, have you tried having those closest to the skin, and with the moli, taking a razorblade and cuting a slice from the middle front, all the way to the back? The problem with making small holes is that the gel as it expands will expand first where the most liquid flow is, which tends to the the holes thus sealing them, and keeping most of the liquid in that pad.

are these the regular old abenas, or the airplus that most places seem to only want to cary anymore? The old style keeps going on back order on me, and the new style, has a half adhesive/velcro type tape that I have had problems with staying. Still to this day I have not had a problem with the old style coming undone. Which is why i have been getting flustered and wanting to email edmonds to complain about the local distro, and thier inability to stock the old style in sufficient quantity. This has been almost 6 months in a row that they have been going BO on them.

I have had this happen as well, ended up taking a careful look at the whole bag and there seemed to be a razor slice accross the whole top of the bag of diapers. They didn't actualy seperate until you put them on. Almost looked like there was was something sticking down during the manufacture process before they were actually bagged.

I actually like the jummpin jammerz original terry cloth ones,.. at 80 degrees with the fan on these are still comfortable for me. Sleepers are an all year thing for me, tho luckily it isnt too bad here in maryland, and when it is hot, the ac is on.

Actually i thought this was something that already existed? I remember reading somewhere about this being used on patients with paralysis, and was basicly a surgical procedure where the fit sort of like a round oring in to the the sphincter to keep it open. Something I read from a few years ago, so I may be off on the description.

Same here,. I even wore them to bed every night when i was in the army. I end up waking up every 20-30 minutes otherwise. I am also a very active sleeper,.. toss and turn and change positions in my sleep, which lead to falling out of bed every now and then. They go a loong way to help keep your diaper in place while you sleep as well.

Just a few things to make things easier. 1. nullo. Generally you can order this at any drugstore. They are chlorophyl pills, are an internal deodorant and will kill almost all smell, tho WILL turn anything coming out the other side green. 2. Get some good onesies. You need something that fits snug enough from neck to crotch and around the legs to help suport the diaper and keep it from saging. I have been incontinent for about 10 years, and these have been a godsend. Especially since I work in shipping and am on my feet 8 hours a day on concrete. Keep the diaper snug and from saging, and you tend not to have any problems with tapes coming apart. I wear aben x-pluses 24/7 and have never had the problem with tapes coming apart that others seem to have, perhaps this is why. I have tried a few other brands, but the ones from easyaccessclothing.com are the ones I have stuck with. As far as I know they are not AB/DL aware, but cater to people with real problems, so watch what you say to them If you need to. 3. I generaly Take both a fish oil, and flaxseed oil pil at night before bed time. Besides being essential fatty acids that your body needs anyways, after a few days or so It will help you have a bm first thing in the morning. 4. Early on in my incontinence I tried the enema thing every day. I don't know if reduced water intake was a problem, but my body wanted to start absorbing some of the water that was coming in that end, which in turn brought the smell as well. I started getting coments, and talked to by my boss, so in turn i stopped the enemas and the smell went away. 5. Always keep baby wipes with you. Over the years The area around my sphincter has become sensitive, acid reflux might not have helped as well, but wiping with regular paper generaly causes surface bleeding, and that is something you definatly dont want in that area. I never have this problem with babywipes, as well, they help clean things up if things get a little nasty. 6. Try to stay away from caffine and sodas, they are not really that good for your body, and working as a dieuretic, makes you drink more in turn to keep your bodies water lvls up, and thus causing more output. Now days all I drink are gatoraid and water. And my diapering consists of 3 abena x-pus mediums. 1 in the morning when i get up, 1 around noon, and another when I get home, and 1 aben x-plus large with thier soaker pad at night when i go to bed. I generally never have any leaks. Your mileage may vary especially since I try with all my being NOT to have a bm in them.

Unfortunatly mine is so small that things wont stay, and if i force it, it is uncomfortable.

Mine started up with my bladder back in 97. I was getting the feeling like I had to go all the time, so I was spending alot of time on the pot. This feeling slowly went away, to a point that I never know when it is going to come until it is coming out. My bowls are almost the same way, only I get severe cramps, or a burning sensation usually that lets me know to run. I dont know if this is the way the body is set up or not, but it feels like there is an inner sphinctre, perhaps an inch or two past the outer, and the only time i get that sensation is when anything is between the two. The outside is very very tender, and I can't use anything to wipe up other then baby wipes. or else I will be wiping up blood. I also get slight leakage that seems to appear about 10-20 minutes after I had a BM. Not sure if this is IBS or anything like that. The last time I went to a urologist/gastro was about 4 years ago. At the time I was dx with both a spastic colon, and a spastic blader. I also have problems with tremors, and muscle spasms thruout my body. currently seeing a neuro, but nothing turning up as of yet.

I would add enough fluff and gel to it so that they extend to the sides, this way once the diaper is put on the fluff has complete overage, including a little bit of overlap on the sides. This way the few of us that can't manage to stay sleeping in one position will not have to worry about leaks out the sides. One of the problems a few have during daytime use as well while sitting down. If you tend to ouput in little floods the front will fill up to quickly, and over flow over your hips. With no padding there, it exits out and gets everything wet

For some reason I have never had a problem with tapes on abenas not sticking or coming off, and I go thru 3 cases a month. Have for the past 5 years. Of course I always wear a bodysuit with it, or a blanketsleeper at night. Maybe I have just been lucky.

I have been using abenas for a number of years now, 2 cases of medium, and 1 case of large per month. I used to get everything through abaip, until my sfa decided to change cards, and they are no longer suported as a merchant. now I am ordering through my local drug store, just becomes a pain trying to get things home since my only transportation is a motorcycle. Anyways,.. my last few orders through abaip were on backorder, and now my local is getting the back order signal from next day medical as well. Just getting worried when i try to pull up abena.com and the website no longer comes up. even abena.co.uk was timing out on me. has anyone else been having problems getting these?
