  1. It is shocking how incorrect some medical professionals were in the 70s. Today, we know that a recently daytime toilet trained child will wet and soil during times of rest due to a number of things - lack of ADH production, immature sphincter muscles. Allowing a childs sleep to be intrupted due to a wet /messy bed tends to add stress to an already stressful situation. Diapers, although babyish, allow the child to mature normally and also reduce the stress involved. This can also be used with an older child. KC produce Goodnights to avail of this market. In this case, diapers aid the cure of wetting by reinforcing the comfort zone.
  2. Born with it... and suffered years of abuse and forced toilet training (which I could never master) until it was diagnosed at age 8. The abuse stopped, but the sympathy started, which is even worse! I have a problem with my autonomic nervous system which means I can not 'feel' or 'sense' if a muscle is closed or open. To control the muscles, I have to focus on the muscle. Therefore, I can hold my sphincter muscles closed when I think about it. This is perfectly OK when I am awake and there is nothing else in my mind. Over years, I have been able to pass this focus into secondary thought. When I sleep / change focus - via intruptions, my muscles relax and I loose bladder and bowel control. To avoid bowel accidents, I changed my diet so I will not fill (and therefore empty) my rectum during working hours. (very light and high energy snacks during the day) It will probably take another 30+ years to change this to thirtiary focus. Yes, I may no longer be daytime incontinent by the time I reach 70, unless To reduce costs... Try using cloth at night / daytime at home. If you, like me, mess in your sleep, use a baby cloth square in the adult diaper. It tends to contain most of the mess in one place and avoid wearing out the cloth too quickly. Aslo, cloth diapers at don't tend to leak unless they are so wet that they start to fall off. (unlike disposables). I only use disposables during the day (Tena Flex) that I can change easily while standing up in a public bathroom. I do wear the Tena Maxi when I know that I may not be able to change for a while - road trip / visiting someone etc...
  3. Hair free is the best way to go. I wouldn't use aftershave OUCH. If you don't belive me, try it once there. You will only do it once. I have shaved constantly to keep the forrest under control. Used a hair removal product and regretted it big time. Never got the stones to get waxed. Looking into lazer hair removal - any suggestions? How painful/ permanant etc.

  5. There is nothing like the wonderful feeling of waking up from a nights sleep and finding your diapers lovely and squishy with both pee & pooh. However, the oppsite is true when you loose control in the middle of a business meeting and have to try and change in a public bathroom. Since I am incontinent, wet diapers are nothing new, but a messy diaper in the daytime can be a pain.
  6. Necros, when you were a baby, you would satisfy your bodies needs without conflict. Now, if I am not mistaken by reading your post, you are going through a conflict - should you indulge yourself and act out your minds needs, or should you deny it. This, only you can answer. You first have to be comfortable with yourself. If you are denying your needs due to some percieved norm, then you will always be unhappy. There is no normal person in the world however we want to think we are. It, like all perceptions, is a stereotype, and all stereotypical views are inherently wrong. Do what feels right to you. From reading the posts here, I can presume that all here will support your decisions.
  7. I thought that under FAA laws, that there always should be 2 qualified ATCs on duty. Since it is such a stressful and memory intensive position, if the only one ATC took a heart attack, who would control the airspace? As AuntyAB already said, perhaps the location were operating with too few staff.
  8. Because I wear 24/7, they are both a distraction and form or security. What I mean is, during the day, when I have to act mature, they are both a distraction and a hassle - constantly having to check if they need changing etc. However, in the evenings, and weekends, I can relax, and at that stage, the comfort zone they provide is beyond compare. This zone sometimes extends to the extroverted world. I am an introvert, but use diapers as a support mechanism in the extrovert world.

  10. If you wish to sleep in diapers and wake up in wet and or messy diapers, please read and follow instructions. When a baby is born, it acts on instinct. It is aware of its bodies needs and when it comes time to void, will fuss to get its careers attention. This is normally ignored in the western world as we have tuned ourselves that a baby wears diapers and should use them. The baby learns this, and ignores this need until it becomes uncomfortable. What causes a baby to wet is the constant openness of its sphincter muscle and the non production of ADH. ADH does two major things, 1- reabsorbs water from the kidneys, 2-focuses the mind. It is normal for a baby to constantly move in its sleep. It is replaying, and reacting what it did during the day. Since a baby will sleep 70% of its day, and it has learnt not to fuss before voiding, it will wet in its sleep. Also, since there is a large abount of water in its stools, it will also mess without really noticing it. By the time the babys muscles are mature enough to notice its voidings, it has learnt, due to the fact that nobody has told it different, to wet and mess in its diapers. In a word, a baby is totally comfortable in wearing and soiling diapers. It knows that its parents will clean up any messes it makes. For you to get to this stage, needs a few things. 1-To be totally comfortable and relaxed. 2-To ignore your bodys instinct to wake you. Sleeping while voiding is not in relation to voiding paterens, but sleep patterens. Training and Instructions 1- Firstly, convince your mind that your bed will not suffer if you happen to void while asleep. This is done by remembering your baby bed and its associated noises and smells. Useing a few large bags, the thicker and noisier the better, place them on your matteress. Place over this, a plastic matteress protector. Coat the matteress protector with baby powder. Place over this a single, but old bed sheet. This is done to 1-associate the smell with baby powder, 2-associate the noise as a crib. 2-Convince your mind that the bed will nto sufgfer if you happen to wet it. Sleep on this for a few days. Within a week or so, you will not even notice the noise of the plastic. That is, you will contiously be unaware of the plastic, but your subcontious will be fully aware of it. 2-Change your diet. Don't eat heavily during the day, ie light snacks of fresh fruit. Your last meal about 2 hours before you sleep should consit of white meat/fish and vegtables. This is to do two things. White meat/fish contain a sleep inducing chemical - tryptoline. Fresh fruit and vegtables increase the water content in the body and therefore reduce the need for the production of ADH specifically vassporessin. It takes on average 4-6 hours to digest food, therefore your bowels will fill while you sleep. You will not mess in your sleep as you have been trained from years of holding it, and will mess in the morning. 3-Increase your water consumption in the evenings. You have already enough water in your system from the food, you will automatically stop producing ADH. This will cause you to move around in bed, and correspondingly, cause your mind to remember your baby sleep actions. You will wake up after five hours to void as your bladder fills and disturbs your sleep. This is what we want. 4-After about three nights of waking up in the middle of the night, heavily diaper yourself (4-5 layers of cloth and 2 pairs of plastic pants). We need you to realise, when half-awake that you are wearing diapers. You are also trying to convince your subcontious that the diapers are thick enought to hold anything you can throw at them. 5-On the first night that you are diapered, you will fully wake up to wet. Do not move or change your position, but relax and wet your diaper. (I know that this is extremely hard to do, but it is very important that you do not move - you do not want to change your position of comfort, and you also want to tell your subcontious that it is OK to void in your diapers) 6-At this stage, I suggest you use a hynotic tape system. The one you are lookinfg for is to associate diapers with wetting and/or messing. All they do is convince you to relax completely. 7-The next night, before you go to bed, make yourself a baby bottle and drink it while lying in bed. Its contents:- Hot Dark Chocolate (made on water) and mixed with it is 4 sleeping tablets. The sleeping tablets will keep you asleep. The reason for water instead of milk is that the chemical in milk will keep you awake. (Baby forumla has the same effect on an adult body. Breast milk has the oppsite effect - it induces sleep) The choclate is a blind reinforcement which I will explain later. Tonight, you may wake up slightly to wet, but ignore the feeling and go back to sleep without moving. 8 - Keep reducing the amount of sleeping tablets to half the previous nights dose until you are eventually only drinking a baby bottle of hot choclate. The hot choclate will now trick the body to go into a deep sleep as the body is expecting sleeping tablets. The tryptoline from the white meat/fish will keep you asleep, and the bowels will fill from digesting the meal. The extra water in the food will fill your bladder and soften your stools, and the reduction in production of ADH will mean your bladder will fill many times a night. The choclate will act as a laxative, and you will fill your diapers without waking. The hypnotic suggestions will ensure that the trigger is diapers plus choclate, so if you wish to be dry and clean one night, don't drink the baby bottle and leave off the diapers. The first few nights, you may awake before voiding, but if you do not move (change position) you body will de;lay and eventually stop sending the wake trigger. The time you awake will change from before, to during to after the event. After a week or so, you will wake up in the morning in a wet and messy diaper, unaware of its state until you move/smell it, and totally unaware when you voided. Once this occurs, you will find that you will revert to sleeping as deeply as you did as a baby, and that you will be having the best nights sleep that you ever had. Also, you will be able to fall asleep very quickly. Warning A square of choclate will act as a trigger once you are diapered. It will become as potent as a sleeping tablet to you. It is advisable, every so often, to go to bed without the triggers, and try and stay clean and dry. This is to avoid the problem of muscle athropy that will occur if your sphincter muscles are not used at night. If you don't, you may begin to have problems during the day. If you wish to be totally incontinent 24/7, just continue to wear the diapers. Since the body has reverted to not holding it during periods of sleep, if you wear diapers during the day, the body will remember that it does not have to hold, and will void at its own wishes - wetting as and after you drink to keep the water balance in the body, messing about 2-3 hours after every meal. Blind Copying Using a candy in parallel to a drug is called blind copying. Since the candy has the stronger flavour, and the sleeping tablet has a specific action, the candy will also have the same action. The body reacts to a drug and remembers the reaction. If a specific flavour is used for the drug, the bady will think that it is absorbing the drug, and will act as if it has the drug. This happens cause most drugs use what is called as chain operations. Sleeping tablets do not actually tell the body to sleep. The instead trigger the body to percieve that there is a very strong posion in the system that could harm barin functions. The body reacts by reducing the blood presure to the brain. The brain reacts by reducing the blood preassure in the body. Since the body blood pressure is dropped, the brain blood pressure is dropped. This causes the brain to sleep. The actual sleeping tablet is then disolved with the lower intestine and excreted. Therefore, the first time you take a sleeping tablet, the effect is very slow, but will become faster the more you take. However, the side effect is that you will become dependant on them. Since we have blind copied sleeping tablets with choclate, choclate will have the exact same effect on your body, but will not have any addictive or side effects except cocao is a natural laxitive. The reason for dark chocolate is twofold 1-strong flavour, 2-doesn't stop your enjoyment of milk chocolate. The chocolate can be substituted for any substance that you normally would not drink, and that does not contain milk or alcohol. Warning, a blind copied substance can be as potent or more potent than the original drug. As a result, a square of dark choclate will trigger the sleep reflex in you. If you are also diapered, you will use them like a baby whether you want to or not

The solution to using diapers while sitting or lying down is related to the problems. 1- I might leak - enfant has partly addressed that 2- It is not right - enfant has addressed that 3- The muscles group is not free - Tight diapers will constrinct the stomach. This puts pressure on the bladder. However, in males, it also kinks the urether. The kink but back pressure on the sphincter which responds by tightly closing and and rasing an alarm which you feel as mild pain and discomfort. The solution - wear thick cloth diapers that are almost one size too big. Wear also a onesie to keep the diaper from falling down. The onesie has to be large enough so the diaper is not pressed against your body. (3) (1) + (2) Make sure that what your sitting on or lying on is well protected. What I suggest for bed use, is a couple of thick plastic bages (the thicker and noiser the better). Cover this with a mattress protector. Coat the matteress protector with baby powder, and place ontop of this, an old bed sheet that you don't mind if it gets wet. If you sleep on this for a few days, you will eventually forget about the noise the plastic makes. THat is you will contiously forget, but your subcontious will be aware of it. This will teach you, or more correct, allow you to remember via sound and smell your baby bed where it was ok to use your diapers in your sleep. The first night that you forget that you are sleeping on plastic, and that you are wearing thick enough diapers, you will wake to wet. If you do not change your position and use mental reinforcement to tell yourself that this is good and what you are supposed to do, your subcontious will remember the sequence of actions. The following night you will only half awake to wet. Each subsequent night you wake at a later stage in the process, ie just before, during and then shortly after the event. Once you get to the stage that you are waking up only in the morning and only after checking your diapers do you find them wet, you can start reducing the thickness and reduce the size of diaper to normal. It should take you about two weeks from waking up wet to reduce back to a single disposable. The sequence is all about building up the trust in your mind that it is ok to wet in your sleep, and it is more cost effective to wet that to wake up. After this, you should always wear a diaper to bed like a good baby. If you wish to mess at night, see my post 'Wetting and messing in your sleep'
  12. P&G are waiting to see what the return on their investment is in the US before adding Size 7 to the Baby Dry range. Currently Size 7 is available only as 'Cruisers'. KC are evaluating P&G sales also and may release a Size7 in Huggies 'Baby Shaped' which will be launched in Europe before Pampers Baby Dry. Currently, delivery costs from US to ROI/UK/Europe tend to be very high and almost prohibitive. I know that it is only a pond between the US and ROI/UK/Europe, but the pond hoppers tend to be expensive If ROI/UK/European purchasers can find a local or European supplier, it is more cost effective. With the strong AB market in Germany, I would suspect airoliver to stock Pampers Size 7 within a few weeks. Yes, to the US this supplier is expensive and slow also.

Night Time Usage Sleep wetting is caused by a number of factors all in relation to the excessive production of urine. What I mean is wetting while sleeping is caused by 1 - Reduced production of ADH The body produces ADH to reabsorb lost water in the kidneys. As a person grows, more is produced during periods of rest. Therefore, the bladder can contain the urine that is produced over a longer period of time. Otherwise, the body will naturally expel urine as the presure increase. 2 - Weak spinchter muscle. If the bladder spinchter muscle does not fully close without contious thought (it is closed autonomically) when the body relaxes, the muscle will relax and urine will weep. There are many more causes of nocturnal enurises (sleep wetting), but these are the major two. The rest only result from a medical or physical condition. Therefore, diapers at night alone do not contribute to sleep wetting. Actually, diapers at night remove stress from the person ensuring an unintruppted sleep. This allows the growth and developement of the relavant controls. Will a prior-trained individual revert to the same loss of control he/she had as a baby - if wearing diapers, and comfortable wetting them then the answer is yes. The body learns, or more correct remembers, that it does not have to produce ADH at night. The two effects are wet diapers and constant movement in bed while you sleep. This is exactly how a baby sleeps, constantly re-enacting what happened during its hours of wake. ADH's secondary function is to focus the mind, and since you have reduced this, your mind will focus otherways. Day Time Usage This is a seperate subject since this is under your control, once you have been taught. However, if you have never been taught, you simply do not know how to control your sphincter muscles, and wil void at your bodies wishes. If you have been continent in the day, and have lost night-time control, at periods of deep thought, you will also start to loose daytime control. Continous wearing of daytime diapers will teach your body that it is ok not to hold your eliminations, and your sphincter muscles will eventually become weak and stay open. At that stage, you will either have to go through a set of Kegel exercises to re-strengthen the weakend muscles, or wear diapers from then on. The longer you are in diapers, the more the muscles will athropy. You body will eventually stop feeding blood to these muscles (to conserve energy) as they stay open. At that stage, there is no way you can ever be trained. The muscles are to all purposes, dead. Summary Wearing diapers alone at night will make you night-time incontinent, but if you wear diapers in the day also, you will become totally incontinent. Diapers alone during the day will not cause incontinence as you are wetting/messing them under contious control. Wearing diapers due to a slight incontinence problem does not excagerate the problem. It allows the body to heal the problem without stress. Also, becoming incontinence is a frame of thought. If you have a slight problem, and are wearing diapers to help, and wish not to, your body will heal if it can. However, if are comfortable in diapers, and you wish to wear, you body will also succumb to your wishes and turn that wish into a need. Side Note Personally, I have been incontinent from birth. see my introduction At certain times, I wish I could stop. Being totally incontinent from once being continent, as I have read from other forums, tend to turn the pleasure of wearing and using diapers into a need. I find the pleasure in the baby treatment, rather from diapers. I do hope that the people who are continent that are going down the path towards incontinence have exammined all the negatives. The include being banned from certian swimming pools etc, carefully choosing your clothing so to avoid the diaper bulge, constantly worrying about the state of your diaper, dealing with diaper-rash, and the hard one-trying to explain to a 3 year old why it is better to be grown up and use the potty when you can't, dealing with a leaking diaper and soiled furniture - usually not your own, explaining to business associates what the smell is, trying to change a diaper in a public bathroom (removing your shoes - to get your pants and plastic pants off, and standing on a cold and wet floor not knowing, and not wanting to know what the liquid that your standing in is), and been treated as a second class citizen, living with a disability, the stares you get from other shoppers as the smell from your diaper wafts about. Edit: Rereading this it can be slightly confusing so I simplify it - Diapers will NOT cause/exagerate incontinence unless that is what you want. It is more a question 'will you willpower cause incontinence or not?' and the answer ito both is yes. Your body will behave the way you want it to. Heal you if it can & you want it, or exagerate the problem if you want it.

  15. Simon, in support of Dill_Pickles suggestion, start what is called Kegel excercises. I would have hoped that your doctor has told you about them. The are designed to strengthen the bladder muscles and regain continence.
  16. Hello everybody. I am BabyKeiff and an AB for the past 21 years. Prior to that I was a TB. I will not post my picture as I value my privacy and also, linking my interest would severely damage my career. I am single (was maried but my wife and child died in a car crash a number of years ago) and have multiple qualifications. Since I have been around for a while, I can answer most AB/DL related questions, but as you all, still have the problems explaining to the oppsite sex about my interest in diapers (nappies where I come from - Ireland) and regression. I regress for stress relief but wear diapers out of need (see my profile for full explaination). Also, in relation to my nick, please please please refer or reply to me as 'babykeiff' or 'bk' or 'babyk' and not just 'keiff'. When I was between the ages 5-8, I dammaged my tounge and had various front teeth missing. As a result, I cound not pronounce the TH sound correctly. Since my name is Keith, I used to say KeiFF instead. This was a very tramatic time of my life due to preasure from my peers, and by refering to me as KEIFF brings back hurtful memories. To deal with this, my grandfather used to rock me in his arms whispering 'BabyKeith' in my ears. His pronouncation made it sound like BabyKeiff, and his voice used to soothe me and many times fell asleep in his arms. My wife used to do that for me also. In a word, KEIFF hurts me, and BabyKeiff is a form or endearment. In anyway, thanks to all on the forum and I look forward to getting to know the inner child in all of you.
