  1. I saw these diapers in the latest sale email from Bambino and was wondering if they are plastic backed. I can't tell by the picture and don't want to waste money on useless cloth backed diapers. I looked at the diaper reviews page but didn't see any reviews. Has anyone tried these? Hugs, Freta
  2. @stevewet I am so impressed you were able to sleep through the bed wetting alarm. I too was a very heavy sleeper and never woke up during the night. I like to joke that people could lift me out of bed during the night and steal the bed and I wouldn't wake up. Unfortunately for me, my bedroom shared a wall with my parent's bedroom and like you said it woke up everyone so my mother would get up and walk me half asleep to the bathroom 😞 otherwise the alarm might not have worked and I wouldn't be waking to pee during the night in my diaper. Hugs, Freta
  3. I'm in a one of my wife's size large Better Dry diapers with a pair of Kins double Terry lined vinyl pants over it. Hugs, Freta
  4. I wet the bed just about every night until I was 17, almost 18. My mother didn't diaper me, she just washed all my bedding every day. I always had a bed protector on my mattress. When I was young it was a rubber sheet that just covered a square where I slept. Sometime when I was older they started making vinyl fitted sheets which she put on under my bottom sheet. I have always rolled around in my sleep and I like to be warm so some days I would wake up soaked and find myself wrapped up in my top sheet, blanket and bedspread and they would all be soaked. They used a "Wee Alert" generously donated by a friend's mother because his younger sister wet the bed and it worked on her. It worked on me too eventually. I would have preferred to remain a bed wetter because the alarm breaks your sleeping pattern. I have a small bladder and almost never slept through the night again because the alarm teaches your brain to wake you right up as soon as you feel the need to pee. It is so efficient that even now when I go to bed securely diapered I still become conscious of my wetting at night. I am able to just fall back to sleep instantly but it's still annoying. Hugs, Freta
  5. This morning I'm in one of my wife's large Better Drys with a pair of my Gary's 7 mil plastic pants. The plastic pants are my insurance I don't leak. Nice and warm and squishy. Hugs, Freta
  6. There is no shortage of religious zealots, radical right wing nutjobs and ultra right wing conservatives that consider it their mission to discredit and marginalize us. One of the best ways to destroy an organization is from within. Because of this FACT we need to be suspicious. There are so many holes in your story that it just won't hold water. I simply asked for your DD user name, not the one you created for your survey but your user name as a member here which would be as anonymous as StudentSmith. Instead I got a story about being on TBDL sites and such. So you just joined DD to do this questionnaire. You listed your age as 20 yet you claim to have graduated with a BS in psychology. I graduated high school at 17 which would put me at 21 for my bachelor's degree. Are you telling us you graduated high school even earlier than me? You might be genuine but you can't furnish one thing to prove your story is on the level. Therefore you can't be trusted. Please understand this is not personal, I don't even know who you are so I won't risk giving any information that could be manipulated to make us look bad. Hugs, Freta
  7. I understand the need for an anonymity and a dedicated email, but if you are a long time member of this ABDL community then I would like to know your member name. Hugs, Freta
  8. I find it difficult to believe that the chanting was intended literally. Yes, there are gay pedophiles as well as straight pedophiles. When you consider that maybe 10% of the population is gay and consider what percentage of this 10% leans toward pedophilia you will end up with a very very small number. I think the real problem is all the straight people hating on gay people. Gay pride parades didn't just happen accidently. Gay people were verbally abused, ostracized, assaulted and murdered, and that's just from citizens. The police, FBI and many other government agencies threw their resources into it by raiding gay bars and gay places arresting everyone. If you keep kicking a dog, eventually it will bite you. Gay people were constantly kicked and reached the breaking point at Stonewall. This was the birth of the gay pride movement. The chant at the parade was directed at the bigoted people who use their children as an excuse to take away our rights. Even now you have states trying to go back to the old ways of keeping gay people invisible. Hugs, Freta
  9. @Little SherriMy diapers are on order and won't be delivered until 7/10 so six more days. The wife and I were just talking and decided maybe a stop at a medical supply store was in order. One bag of their best diapers would get me through. The part that sucks is I'll probably end up in cloth backed disposables because they probably don't carry anything plastic backed. For me it's a toss up risk wise between wearing and using a cloth backed diaper under my clothes or cloth diapers with plastic pants. On the one hand there's the risk of the disposables leaking or wicking when I'm out in public while on the other hand the risk that comes from wearing diapers that will not leak but will be visually more obvious under clothes. When I'm home there's no problems no matter what diapers I wear. We're planning on going out to the movies in a nearby city today which will mean being away from home for 4 hours or more so I'll have to decide whether to use one of my 5 disposables left or stay in pin on diapers and plastic pants. This reminds me of a soap opera 😀. Stay tuned later kids and find out whether whether Freta's cloth like disposable diaper leaked or whether she goes waddling out with thick cloth diapers with her noisy 7 mil plastic pants. Maybe I should start a poll lol. Hugs, Freta
  10. @Billy987 The real problem here isn't can you become fecal incontinent, you can with time and effort. The problem is that you think you can schedule it and make deadlines. This takes time, effort and perseverance. There is no shortcut and the time and effort needed are as different as each individual. When you go on the cruise wear suitable diapers and use them for everything. The only difference will be that you know you could go without them but as far as anyone else knows you're incontinent and you wear diapers for it. Eventually you won't be able to go without diapers and you'll know you're incontinent along with everyone else. Hugs, Freta
  11. From the time I was taken out of diapers all through my childhood and teens I longed not for incontinence but for diapers. I was a very heavy every night bed wetter and I grew very good at covering up my small daytime accidents but the risk of wetting was always there. I already thought of myself as a big baby and diapers would have improved my life. I longed for my mother to take me up to my room to have a private talk about her putting me back in diapers. Hugs, Freta
  12. Your anus can be stretched out so it loses the ability to hold anything in. Just look up butt plugs and buy a set so you can start small and work your way up. Hugs Freta
  13. I'm sitting here in my cloth diapers and plastic pants even though I would normally be in a disposable diaper at this time of the afternoon. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining about my diapers and plastic pants, they are very comfy. My complaint is that through my own catastrophic error, I only have 5 disposable diapers left in my size so I'm losing my ability to choose what diaper I wear. I have been a Confidry girl since I went full time. They work and are cost effective. My wife wears diapers too, but she isn't 24/7 like me she wears strategically like on long car rides and when she doesn't want to get up during the night. She wears a large which in Confidry is color banded at the bottom of the package in red while my mediums are color coded in green. Makes it easy to know when to order because you can see each time you remove a bag to restock my diaper drawer. Confidry has gone downhill in quality so we decided to buy cases of Better Drys and see how they feel and function. I use more diapers than my wife so we really need to keep a close eye on my supply. Unfortunately for me, I never realized that the packaging on the bags of Better Drys up on a high cupboard were the same for both medium and large. Yesterday my diaper drawer ran out and I pulled down a new bag and refilled my drawer. Later, when I went to change I realized the diaper was bigger than it should be. I stopped to examine the empty bag in the trash, sure enough Large. I was confused at this point so I went up and pulled the other 2 bags down and both were large. I was looking at the bags thinking they were mediums when they were larges she bought with my case of mediums. I'm out of disposable diapers. Priority one, order diapers, check. Priority two, try out a large and see if it works. It didn't leak but it adds even more bulk between my legs and as it get wetter it sags much worse than a medium would. Priority three, what do I have in medium. One diaper always in my handbag, two diapers in my diaper bag and a couple Confidrys in my cupboard. Five diapers will have to be used for out of the home occasions. Fortunately I have all my cloth night diapers and enough pairs of plastic pants to stay 24/7 at home here. I have about 100 feet of clothesline behind the house and a good washer. I'll wash diapers every other day as I normally do but the loads will be larger because my day diapers will be in there too. Hugs, Freta
  14. I agree with what Rusty says. You can tell HR and ask for an accommodation or tell the co-worker and hope for discretion or just pay for your own room. If it's that embarrassing to you I would think the money would be well spent. If your finances are so tight that you can't afford to pay for the room then HR might be your best option. It always comes down to analyzing which option will be the least painful. Good luck, let us know how it works out. Hugs, Freta
  15. I'm in cloth diapers and Gary 7 mil plastic pants. Sooooo comfy. Hugs, Freta
  16. My mother tried these on me when I was in my mid teens. She had me try them for less than a week and she went back to just changing all the bedding. Now I understand the complete failure of the pants to contain the heavy wetting I experienced every night. She just used the one snap in flat flannel liner the pants came with. Had she diapered me properly in pin on cloth diapers the pants would have worked okay. As a mother that had 3 children all raised in cotton pin on diapers and plastic pants she should have known that liner wouldn't absorb much. I really was excited to wear them although I was careful not to show it. Hugs, Freta
  17. @dondd I was on Holland America, cruising out of Seattle and returning to Seattle through the Inside Passage. This was our first cruise and despite all our research we still learned a couple things. At some ports our ship was at the pier while other ships had to anchor out in a harbor and ferry all the passengers going ashore on boats. On future cruises this will be something I look at carefully. The logistics of waiting in line while waiting for a spot on a boat and then having to go through the process to get back on the ship compared to just walking down the gangplanck would make a real difference in the amount of time you actually get to spend enjoying the sights. Another difference is that there are only a few cruise lines that have a federal permit to cruise through Glacier Bay. All the rest can't sail there at all. It's one of the highlights of an Alaskan cruise. For those that know boats, the ship is equipped with efficient bow and stern side thrusters. It the dead end of the bay the entire ship came to a dead stop for photo opportunities. While the ship was there the bow thrusters were turned to starboard while the stern thrusters were turned to port. This caused the entire ship to rotate on it's midship axis in a counter clockwise motion. For those of you that don't understand, they made the entire ship spin in a circle in place and they completed two and a half revolutions so we were facing bow in when we arrived and facing bow out when we left. Every person had an opportunity for great photos no matter where you were on the ship. Hugs, Freta
  18. Hi everyone, as promised this post will detail some of my experiences on my diapered cruise honeymoon. The cruise was based out of Seattle WA USA and was 7 days long returning to Seattle. We decided that we didn't want to leave my diapers to chance so rather than trying to find diapers in Seattle, we would pack 30 of my Confidry 24/7's in one of our 2 suitcases. Even though there was some risk in this decision that the bag could get lost or delayed by the airline, we felt it was a low risk especially due to our flying in to Seattle one day early so a delay might not affect us. We drove to the home of my mother in law and sister in law on Thursday afternoon as they live near the airport and could drive us to the airport in the wee hours of Friday morning so could get our flight out. They also take care of our dog when we go away. I have a large handbag in which I keep 2 spare diapers, some wipes in a zip lock sandwich bag and a couple disposal bags. I put on a fresh diaper when getting dressed plus the two spares in my bag so I was confident of getting to Seattle without any issues. We arrived at the airport at 3 am for our 5 am flight. We had to wait until TSA opened the gates at 4 am then wail in line to get through. I saw a few people being ushered through a metal detector to the left of the naked xray scanner and I tried to go that way but a TSA officer directed me back to the scanner. When I went through the scanner I'm sure I was somewhat wet but not soaked. They flagged me for further examination. The officer said I was flagged by the machine and I leaned closer and said I am wearing a diaper quietly to her. She didn't even blink. She simply asked if I'd prefer to be examined in a private setting and I immediately said no, we can do it right here. First, she explained how she would be touching me during the pat down and where. I told her okay and she proceeded to pat my legs and crotch area down in front and then did the same from the back. Then she cleared me to proceed. I changed my diaper at our stop to get our connecting flight. This left me arriving at our hotel in the morning with 1 spare diaper in my bag. Check in wasn't until afternoon so we left our bags at the hotel and went out sightseeing. Our first stop was the weed dispensary for pre rolls and then on to the space needle. Saturday morning we got the shuttle to the pier and went through the embarkation process to get on board. Our luggage was put through the xray machine and then delivered to the room later on in the day. We had asked the cruise line about diapers and disposal during all our planning and they said the room stewards would take care of it. We had a room steward that introduced himself and his assistant and asked if we needed our room taken care of twice a day or just once. We told him once was enough for us. I told him our one concern was that the waste basket was not big enough as I generate more on a daily basis because I wore diapers. He was very understanding and said he would take care of it. He brought us a large blue plastic trash bag each day for us and took away the bag from the previous day. It was blue and opaque so very discreet. It was a very convenient arrangement and made our cruise very enjoyable. It is normal to tip your room steward for good service and we asked a couple experienced cruisers we met what they did and they left $25 USD each so we left two fifties for them. My full time diapers were never an issue and I have to say that without them our trip would not have been enjoyable. On the trip through TSA in Seattle I was again flagged for secondary screening at that damn xray machine. The female TSA agent again gave me the option for a private screening which I again declined politely. Her pat down was more thorough but again I was cleared. The only change I'd make on future trips would be packing more diapers rather than less. Our thinking was that 3 diapers per day would be safe so 3 per day X 8 days (7 cruise days plus the day early in Seattle) = 24 diapers giving us 6 extra with the 30 we packed. The reality was I arrived back with 1 diaper for the drive home from our trip. The reality is there are times on a trip where logistically you may choose to change out of a half used diaper because the shore excursion is long enough that you would need to change part way through when a fresh diaper at the start would last until you get back to your room. I gladly sacrificed a half used diaper more than once for the convenience of not having to change in the middle of something. On vacation is not the time for trying to get every last bit of use out of your diaper. Expect to use more than usual. I hope this proves useful to those considering traveling while diapered full time. Hugs, Freta
  19. @Firefly 35 I think you are confusing your right to express your opinion with your desire to have your decision respected. I do 100% respect your freedom to your opinion on whether Covid vaccines are safe or unsafe, or a good or bad thing. I also respect your freedom to assess the risk and make a personal decision to not get vaccinated. I respect your rights because I in turn expect you to respect my rights in return. Anything less than this would be the height of hipocracy. What you do not have is a "right" to be respected for your decision. You don't have the "right" to expect people to support your position when it is the opposite of their position. I do not support your decision and I'd be a liar if I told you I did. I know there are those on this site that will disagree with my position on the Covid vaccine and I'm sure some of them will not respect me because of that, but that is their right. I will say I don't hate you in any way for having an opposing opinion. I can tell you I absolutely do not wish any harm to come to you because of your decision not to get vaccinated. Hugs, Freta
  20. I bought pin on cloth diapers from Angel Fluff Diaper Co. They make them for babies and adults. With proper pin on cloth diapers you can easily fold diapers so they fit down the center to add bulk between the legs. You can also add extra full width which will add bulk between the legs and extra layers around the hips, good for side sleepers. Be careful of buying heavy night weight diapers with many layers sewn into the center panel because they take forever to dry. Hugs, Freta
  21. Thank you all for your support, it's just one of the things I love about DD. Hugs, Freta
  22. I guess I should have have spent more time on my post. Yes, we both have Covid. I'm 100% certain when we left our farm neither of us had Covid. We did not wear masks while we were away which obviously was a bad personal decision we each made. We brought masks with us and either of us could have worn one without judgement from the other but we didn't want to spend our honeymoon looking like a bandit 🙂 We both have taken every Covid vaccine as soon as it was available to us and for this reason neither of us needed to be hospitalized. It did affect our cruise as we didn't have a lot of energy so rather than being out enjoying all the ship had to offer we were in bed every night drained by 8 most nights and I spent most of 1 day wrapped up in bed. We did get out and enjoy our shore excursions at each stop. Had we not been vaccinated we may have had to be taken off the ship to a hospital. I really thought I had a respiratory infection, not Covid. I'm fairly certain I got it first and gave it to my new wife. I'm basing this assumption on the fact that I was sick in our cabin while my love was enjoying the Casino. It's almost 10 am here and my wife is still sound asleep in bed while I have been up since 3. We both have our sense of smell and taste. I'll be 70 in about 3 months but I'm confident I'll have no debilitating effects from this. Covid is never going away any more than the seasonal flu ever has. It will continue to kill some people like the very old, very young, the sick and some healthy people that don't believe in vaccines because they prefer to listen to politicians rather than Doctors and Scientists. Yes, we have Covid but I'm kicking its ass and I know the wife will too. Hugs Freta
  23. You’re focusing on “free” in order to argue against it. Obviously nothing is free. What people should focus on is the “universal”. Without universal healthcare wealthy people keep more money in their pocket for the luxury they so richly deserve while human beings go without any care. In the USA, a lot of pets get better medical treatment than humans without insurance. Hugs, Freta
  24. My wife and I just got back from a 7 day cruise to Alaska. We left a day early so we could spend a stress free day in Seattle before getting on the ship. We flew to Seattle from Kansas with 30 Confidry 24/7’s in one of our 2 checked bags with clothes taking up the rest of the room. I carry a big handbag with 2 diapers some disposal bags and some wipes in a zip lock sandwich bag plus the diaper I was wearing when we left the house. We planned 3 diapers a day times 8 days which should have given me a good cushion (pun intended). When we got home I was on my last diaper. If you are 24/7 and normally go through 3 dips a day on average your usage will probably vary. I suffered a leak in the Denver airport that was obvious because 1 I was trying to keep to the average and that’s not always the way it will go and 2 when you are wetting as needed it’s not a oh this is my 3rd wetting I better change it’s difficult to tell how bad you are without a physical probe which is unrealistic at an airport gate. The good news was that the handicapped bathroom was very clean and spacious. Hugs, Freta

    UGH!

Hi everyone, we are back from our honeymoon 7 day cruise to Alaska. Normally, this would be the time we spent basking in the glow of our vacation. Unfortunately over the course of a 7 day cruise rather than gaining weight, I lost between 7 to 8 pounds which is unheard of on a cruise. The first thing we did when we got home was take home Covid tests and we are both positive. We made great friends on the cruise and exchanged social media info and the wife is on her phone notifying them right now because it’s the right thing to do. The first 2 were nurses and both tested positive already. This is our first time with Covid because our home itself is isolated and we have taken every vaccine as it became available. I have a lot to say about our trip and it looks like I’ll have plenty of time to write it while we isolate on our farm/ leper colony I just want to separate the crappy news from the good. Hugs, Freta
