I guess such a response was expected and can quite see where you are coming from Sunshine. I did mention though that I used that particular topic as an example. You are absolutely right, I have less than 30 posts, some 'random guy' as you so eloquently put it, but on the other hand, as an outsider with considerably less experience on this board than yourself I have the advantage of being in a position where I am not used to the manner in which points are made and perhaps that is how the perception is generated. In my post I had hoped to illustrate the point that it is not the objection to which I object but the manner in which it is communicated which could well be construed to be a blatant attack on the author of that particular topic. Surely when you read that particular topic it can be seen that the escalation was unneccessary. Really, what did it acheive? I commend you Sunshine for standing up so quickly for a fellow high poster, perhaps other Newbies should understand one of the unwritten rules of this board: "If what you have to say could be interpreted as controversial, keep it to yourself unless you have 1000+ posts in which case, everyone else is fair game." However, everything else aside, my apologies to the user indicated by Sunshine for causing undue tension. I merely sought to voice an apprehension over the denegration of some topics, something I am clearly not welcome to do.

This is something that has gotten to me a little on the DD board - something that I remember reading about before joining. Don't get me wrong, the DD board IMHO is probably the most active adult diaper/nappy forum on the 'Net and one that I certainly enjoy most of the time. Reading one of the recent topics titled 'Classification Of Dl Vs Ab?' one member took it upon themselves to seemingly go out of their way to make the thread into an argument over the choice of a particular word in the title. Whilst general consensus would perhaps agree that the inclusion of the word 'Vs' in the title could be construed to cause controversy, the content of the post clearly did not indicate such intention. For the rest of the first page, that topic was essentially hijacked to try and acheive an individuals own agenda and degenerated from the topic itself. Was it really neccessary to post multiple posts trying to denigrate the topic author over something so petty? I feel that that particular thread is quite a reasonable example of the behaviour displayed in a minority of threads and use it purely as an example. I of course now open myself up to the same confrontational approach adopted by some, but additionally, I hope that I have said some words with which others will agree. Ultimately people are free to say what they want and I agree wholeheartedly that people are passionate about their interests, but perhaps everyone should take a little more notice of what they are saying and where they say it.

Wetting whilst laying done seems to go in fits & starts, sometimes easy, sometimes not! It really depends on my mood and how relaxed I feel, the more relaxed, the easier it is. I have found that after waking in the night and wetting my nappy before going back to sleep, the following morning it does often feel like the wetting was a dream (albeit a nice dream at that!).

I am of the same point of view as Diapered_Witch on this - I wear nappies to use them and change when the nappy is full (but generally before it starts to leak!).

I am of the opinion that it is entirely up to the individual to act/dress/etc as they feel comfortable doing and as long as it doesn't affect someone else in their activities of daily life then fair play to them! (By affect I mean cause them discomfort or change in their routine). I think the comment about developmental disabilities is out of line as being an AB is about behaving as a baby and that comment would imply that if being an AB is acting like someone with developmental disabilities, then a baby has developmental disabilities which is actually quite offensive to a parent. Anyway, I am beginning to lose myself in my innane ramblings! In short, I don't agree with the offending comment!

For me it is a sleepsuit over a night-time nappy. The most comfortable combination of clothing I have!!

Hi - I have cleared my cache, tried a different browser, changed my IP address - nothing has made any difference. The only way I can get to this forum now is via a internet cafe machine or running proxy server software on my webserver which screws up all the fancy features of this board. It is a shame about this issue really - I came here from Diaper Girls because they went pay access and this site was far, far better. Don't really want to go elsewhere!!

Thanks for that info - I can see where the moderators are coming from but it is a pretty large blanket to through to combat spam - InvisionBoard like PHPBB, VB, etc all have various addons for tackling spam and blocking ranges of IP addresses seems to be too untargetted. I have tried getting a new IP address but it didn't make any difference.

I have BT Broadband (in the UK) and cannot get on to this forum and am presented with the message 'you are not permitted to use this board'. I have tried changing IP addresses which made no difference and cleared the cache of my browser but still can't get in. I am on a PC using a different provider at the moment so can get in. Have you banned a whole range of IP addresses? Looking at the InvisionBoard website - that is the message you receive if your IP address has been banned.

Both - but then that is what nappies are for! Plenty of baby wipes soon clear up after a #2!

I had come home from work, made some dinner and put a nappy on - a friend called round to go down to the pub. Didn't have a chance to change my damp nappy (or remove it entirely) so went down to the pub with it on. After an hour or two, my nappy was rather wet and leaked a bit leaving a couple of small wet patches on my trousers and the bench. I don't think it was that obvious, but I was very self-concious! And no, I didn't take a spare nappy with me - it is somewhat difficult to change in the pub toilets!!

For me it is dancewear/cheer outfits & womens clothing!! Much easier to wear a nappy underneath a skirt or dress!

In the UK you can get a brand of adult nappies called Tender Care - although they don't have elasticated legs (there is a leak guard though) or waist, for the price, I find them really good - the nightime ones hold an enormous amount and the nappy has enough room to fit a couple of soakers as well. Just a bit a feedback for those other UK wearers who may not have heard of Tender Care. They are considerably cheaper than many of the alternatives - around £34.00 for a case of 90 (nightime medium).

I love the feel of a wet nappy between my legs - very comfortable and kind of moulds to the shape of my bottom! Not so good when it starts to leak, but then that is just part of using nappies!

Hi - PHP, LotusScript, Java, Perl and of course HTML! I am in the web applications side of development so different languages have different benefits - I don't profess to know Java completely though! Firefox all the way for me - Opera kind of lost out because it used to have adverts, IE is, well slow and who in their right mind would put the address bar above the menu? I mean WHAT were they thinking! [Rant off] Sorry - as a web apps developer, IE is a thorn in the side! Wouldn't quite go so far as to say browsers were a fetish though
