I have a very open view on sexuality so in my opinion I don't think there's anything wrong for you to indulge in pornography. Considering you are not in a relationship I think "to each his or her own" just keep it healthy. If you find yourself NEEDING that "source" you should consider stepping back. I'd also encourage you to start by reading erotic stories, plus they're FREE. I've found the best best content is on Amazon Kindle, but you can find a story about anything. I find the payoff is better when I read because I can visualize the scene and come up with everything myself. When I watch it I sometimes feel like I am violating someone's privacy and or my girlfriend's trust so I prefer to stick to the words :)

if its not wrong, why is it thought of as wrong? ive heard the line that its derogatory to women, but women are in it and some ive chatted with claimed to watch it, does anyone viewing this thread have any certification or degrees in anything that might help to get an understanding in this? or any religous beliefs? i want to have all the neccessary information to make a call on this subject.

If you consider my upbringing I am Christian, but I am not a regular church attender. I practice faith and believe in god I just ultimately try and do the right thing. For me pornography doesn't fit in that picture. If my girlfriend was into porn I wouldn't have a problem with it because I truly believe to each his or her own (within reason). Growing up my dad flipped a shit when he discovered I had been viewing porn (back then it was on a PDA) I was such a nerd, that thing became my portable porn device aka my PPP LOL Anyway ever since that interaction with my dad I just felt awkward about it and therefore starting seeking out the literature instead.

Because richer and more influential people tend to be more right wing and would prefer to believe that no one ever masturbates or has impure thoughts and only ever engages in heterosexual sex in the missionary position, and only after marriage of course...

one thing i didnt think to put in my questions because i didnt want to get political is that i happen to be conservative.

Liberals do similar things like passing laws that require condoms to be used while on set. Both sides of the political spectrum try to kill porn in their own way, so no need to go there.

My thought on the topic is whether or not it is wrong depends entirely up to you. I assume you have a set of principles that you live by that no one but yourself can change. Look deeply at these principles, decide if porn can adversely affects these principles and go from there. You shouldn't let other people decide for you.

I have plenty of Playboy magazines from the early 2000s. I'm not talking about the ones with articles. These are mostly pictures. With that being said, I rarely ever look at them. Porn doesn't do much for me. It was more of a curiosity thing I guess. I grew up going to a Christian church. I still believe and do the right things when possible but hardly attend church. I'm not one to judge though. If people want to look at porn, I don't care as long as it doesn't interfere with their job, relationship, etc. Same goes for gay marriage. Let them get married. I'm not their judge. If they believe in God, they'll be judged when they pass away.

I would say it seems porn is a lot like diapers for us. It's not illegal, nobody gets hurt, and yet it brings us comfort and helps us cope with the rest of our lives.

I can hardly call that wrong, yet many in society do anyways. Personally, I don't listen to them nor do I care what they are honk. You shouldn't either.

this is really just a question of morals, which of course morals are always a matter of opinion, as such no one can tell you what your opinions are that is something you must decide for yourself, so no one can outright tell you if pornography is wrong or right that is a decision you must make on your own,

i know i cant be outright told "its wrong" or "nothing wrong with it", but i thought i might be able to get some input and try to figure out if its wrong. i try to not look at it, i can go for weeks at a time when im lucky, but if i slip up once its almost impossible to get away from again and it takes months to try to get away from it again, i get itches to look for lack of a better term, and slip up, then feel bad about it and strike myself HARD in the leg to punish myself, but i end up looking again, its almost like i cant help it sometimes but i should be able to, but at times i still end up looking

Only being able to resist porn for a few weeks at best is not excessive, nor does it sound like a real detriment to your life or your health. (in my opinion). What does concern me is you purposely hurting your self when you do look at it. This is not healthy behavior and you may want to seek counseling for it.

Honestly this sounds like the classic binge purge cycle many here have gone through with diapers. You need to stop binging on porn then beating your self up to try and stop it. Try to find a health medium with your need of porn and learn to accept this is just a part of who you are. Again, you may need to consider talking to a psychiatrist to help get you through this too.

I don't think you'll find many people in religious positions who are also ABDL, even less who would admit to it. But really it shouldn't matter, don't let someone else dictate your life, especially if you are not religious, I'm not sure why the advice of a minister is so important on the matter if you don't follow the religion any more.
