One of the parts that I like the best when reading stories here is the discussion that we have about the story.   Especially when it is a story that a lot of us are enjoying like what happened with All of My Mother's Rules.

There are a lot of stories from Amazon and other sites that are good and I would love to discuss more like you would get in a book club.  The sequel to AMMR, AMGR is one that I would love to hear reactions to beyond just the vague platitudes.  I want to see if there is a desire for this type of discussion on this forum, and if not here, does anybody know of a place where it does occur?

My reaction to All Of My Girlfriend's Rules: Spoiler Alert!

I loved this story because it mostly completes Sarah's recovery from her trauma.  The end of AMMR has Sarah able to function as a somewhat normal teenager, but she is still holding a lot of the trauma inside her.  We begin this story with her coming back to the Higgins from college and the situation is still somewhat tragic.  It feels like she is destined to be alone and her bladder issues are still holding her back, especially because Lisa has fully conquered hers.

At the beginning of the story, Sarah still hasn't shared what happened to her with her mother with anybody but her therapist, which she has stopped seeing.  Lisa gets her to open up, which I loved how it was genuine caring.

My favorite and most cathartic scene is when Sarah throws a massive tantrum after her frustration with failing yet another attempt to use the potty.  I need to re-read that scene to get the full specifics of how Lisa gets a hold of her, but I love Sarah's inner dialogue when Lisa spanks her.  She was tempted to use her safe word but doesn't because this time she needs to be punished.  It led to Sarah accepting that potty training was only causing her anxiety and holding her back.

I would like to recommend The New Job and Giving Notice, both by CK Crinklekid. Both stories are gay, furry, ABDL, BDSM erotica. But both are explorations of self-acceptance, queerness, relationships, and masculinity. Both stories are also emotional rollercoaster rides filled with sorrow, intimacy, and ultimately triumph. All in all, both stories are worth a read.

Sadly, a large part of the catalog on Amazon for ABDLs consists of 50-page 'books' that are horribly written and not even worth borrowing on Unlimited. I'm curious what other works come onto this list. A few that are of higher quality:

Trailer Park AB: Part I Infant by Valentine (and two sequels) were originally online elsewhere. I think this is the only location for the tale now. Tells the story of a short young college grad who looks way younger than his age renting a trailer and his adventures with gigantic dogs. (Contains TG elements)

The Rehab Regression (The Buttons & Blocks Regression Series) is a decent regression romp with multiple sequels. Some of them are better than others.

Alex Bridges has Done Adulting and Best Babysitter in Town on there as well that are worth a read.

I'm curious to see what else you all suggest! 🙂

That represents almost all of the catalog, but there are some gems that are worth discovering and talking about.

I can recommend all of the books by E.L. Haley.  

If you read "My last night of D.R.I." here in the story forum, you'll get an idea of the kind of stories to expect.

I also really enjoyed the book "Back to her Teens" and "Stuck in het Teens" by Clarine Klein, but those are more spanking stories and much less pull-ups and/or diapers.

I've been exploring Kindle Unlimited for a few days now, I only got it to read @MinnesotaWriter's stories on there.

His other story wasn't mentioned here yet: The Baby once Again, which I can also totally recommend. 

Asides from those and one that is only in German (Der Escort: Geheimes Verlangen) I haven't found any other story I actually enjoy on there. 

There are literally thousands of stories on there that are either just short stories (most just ending up being smut) or longer stories (still shorter than @MinnesotaWriter's books though) that mostly focus on spanking in a long build up just to end up with the last third of the book being full on smut. No actually good plots.

Unfortunately for me there are also tons of male protagonist stories on there, which I can't really comment on as I much prefer stories with female protagonists. 

So far I'm mostly disappointed in my quest to explore the library of Kindle Unlimited. It's been worth it for the aforementioned books by @MinnesotaWriter, but as it looks I probably won't renew my subscription.

I already read that German book on another website and it's really unfortunate that one hasn't been translated (yet?). It's over 700 pages long and so far my absolute favorite abdl themed story ever. I actually shed some tears reading that one. I kinda feel sorry for most of you guys missing out on this.

I also agree that most of Kindle's ABDL books are poop. A good portion aren't even really ABDL, sure they have a scene with a diaper, but you could copy/paste any sort of fetish clothing or even normal clothes and the story doesn't change.

I think in terms of books on amazon unlimited(at least in the UK) for consistent ABDL themed stories I have read a lot of Amy Cummings Stories especially the Lone Star Little series of books, I liked the world building and the reappearing charters and themes. There is 100% some cliché story telling at time but in generally I have really enjoyed the read.

I agree with some of the other posters though, there are a lot of not so great 50page "stories" that are no so great out there.

I found AMGR to be entertaining and helped tie up some of the open issues from AMMR. The disappointment was the ending felt a bit rushed, really did not cover Sarah’s conversion to full time diapers and how that effected her babysitting or if her foster parents thought this was strange. Hopefully can be explored in the third installment! Definitely worth the purchase.

I get so frustrated with many of Kindle stories out there, which is why I switched over to Wattpad for my primary reading.  Most of the ones on Wattpad are lazy writing, but every once in a while, you get a good one.   I'm mostly asexual and tend to skip past sex scenes.  I don't enjoy reading about a man's cock penetrating a woman's vagina.   I'm also repulsed by most spanking scenes.  It's okay, if it is done right, or serves a purpose- the spanking scene in AMGR is an example of one that is done right.   The other thing I don't like and tend to avoid is sissification stories, which I find misogynistic.  Why does infantilization always have to male turn into a helpless little girl?    PS- little girls aren't helpless and needing diapers doesn't mean you have to be a little girl.  That concept just bothers me, and it is used in so much of ABDL fiction.

Aside from the two stories that I've read from @MinnesotaWriter (Is he getting tired of us fawning over his books?), I'm enjoying The Family Baby by AgeregressionKitten.  It is a weird regression story, with themes of foster adoption and the inner conflict that goes between someone wanting to be grown up and still wanting to be little.   The main character is an adult whose mother is very over-protective (enough to require a suspension of belief).  The mother has been an inspiration for the mother in the story that I'm working on at the moment.

I read the Kylie Trilogy by Max Harper,  which was well-written, but had some disturbing imagery.   I couldn't put the book down while reading it, so that is a plus in my book.   If you are familiar with it, Kylie is a girl who has incontinence issues brought on by trauma, and her mother, through the advice of a sadistic pharmacist, starts forcing her to wear diapers.  Kylie ends up getting involved in this strange cult-type group and then has to escape from the group with the help of her current caregiver.    

I've enjoyed all of the Sakura Series by @Kita Sparkles a lot.   The idea that Sakura can openly enjoy being babied in a nurturing way, and find a best friend who likes it, and then her sister being both a caregiver and a baby is fascinating.  There is some manufactured conflict in the story, which is necessary to keep it going, but the characterization is really good.   The baby and adult parts mesh together so well.

Obviously, I enjoyed AMGR as well or I wouldn't have started this thread😁  I would say the ending left me wanting more, which was how I felt about AMMR rules as well.  However, I think a lot of those questions were things that didn't matter to the primary conflict.   AMMR is about Sarah fighting a losing battle with her mother and recovering from the trauma her mother inflicted on her enough to function as a soon-to-be young woman in the world.    At the end of AMMR, Sarah was back at school, still trying to be Big Girl and still processing all that her mother did to her.

AMGR begins with Sarah realizing she still hadn't processed everything about her experience, especially once her mother is released from prison.   She needed Lisa to push her to help her process all those thoughts she kept hidden since her rescue.  The scene where Lisa says, "I told you everything," was so powerful, and a gut punch to Sarah.  

If you think about it, it has to be miserable from Sarah's perspective, it must of been miserable trying desperately to use the potty like a big girl and feeling guilty every time she failed.  It was overwhelming once she realized she was worse than she thought and her response was to lash out, which is what she did before.    This time she is in the hands of somebody she trusts rather than someone she fears, and Lisa is smart enough to know that potty training is destroying Sarah's emotional well-being.  That inner conflict is over by the end of AMGR.   

Her babysitting jobs don't matter because she has Lisa to support her for the time being.   The Higgins reaction doesn't matter to the primary conflict.  Nor does her relationship with her mother, Emilia, or her friends matter to the main conflict. 

There are so many other avenues that could be explored in this story.   I think the most fascinating is Samantha's story going forward because she went through a huge conflict.  Another one that could be fascinating is Sarah confronting her mother, or building a relationship with Emilia after Emilia is an adult

I think there's a lot of good stuff (in the midst of a lot of low effort and no effort AI books) on Kindle Unlimited still, here's a few of my favorite authors:

Pepper North: Dr. Richard's Littles is still my favorite but they have some pretty unique stuff as well with The Keepers and The Magic of Twelve.

Paige Michaels: Works a lot with Pepper North and has the Littleworld (an AB/DL island resort essentially) and Littlecakes series.

Amy Cummings: A large catalog of AB/DL romance novels, Mountainville is their current long series but I really like the early stuff they did as well.

Elizabeth Chambers: These are my stories so of course I like them, but they are erotic novellas set in an AB/DL Daycare Center (The Padded Princess Playroom), and a college for AB/DL Nannies in Training (Diaper Discipline at the AB/DL Academy)

Akumi Alice: Mommy Michelle's Diaper Discipline Store and Diaper Camp for Naughty Adults: One Summer at Moonraven are two books I go back to often.

TS Little: Not super active anymore, but I liked the Littles Landing series a lot, it's a bit dark at times though.

 

There's some good shorter stuff as well, but I generally agree that anything under 50 pages is pretty rough or underdeveloped. Still, I keep my subscription mostly for the few authors lited above

I like the Kylie Trilogy by Max Harper and the Sakura series by Kita Sparkles.   I used to read a lot of the stuff by Amy Cumminings, but her stories tend to lean into the DMLG with a lot of spanking.   She also follows a formula (no problem with that- it's how she can write so much.   If you don't mind things getting a little dark and sadistic, some of the stuff from Nanny Chloe is good, but a lot of it is excessive and not really my thing.
