The CONtingency: A Diaper Dimension Story (Chapter 19 - Complete)

Recommended Posts

As with my previous stories, this one contains several elements inherent to the pre-established 'Diaper Dimension.' These include, but are not limited to:

  • Diapers and their usage for their intended purpose
  • Breastfeeding
  • Non-consensual mental regression through various means (Including possible drugs, hypnosis, and/or surgery)
  • References to surgery to achieve various nefarious goals
  • Humiliation
  • Giants, aka, Amazons or Bigs
  • Predominantly female domination (some male)
  • Babying of adults (perceived or otherwise)
  • Experimentation on humans
  • Kidnapping
  • Coerced or manipulated actions through possible means of white lies, gas lighting, or incentives
  • Mild language or use of explitives
  • Depictions of death, illness, or handicaps
  • Graphic imagery associated with any of these warnings

This story has not been labeled as mature, due to a lack of specific references to anything overtly sexual, but this warning serves as a 'turn back' point for any readers who do not wish to read about the previous warnings.

Lastly, this list is subject to change during the course of writing this story. While most of the plot is ironed out, more warnings may be added if needed.

For those readers interested or do not care about the warnings listed, please enjoy the following story.

Welcome back everyone! This tale will definitely be more of a traditional DD story (with this one actually being in the other dimension rather than a con), but I also made the decision to modify a few bits of my original plan since last year based on the feedback that I got with a few of my other stories. As such, some of this might feel a little reversing of time or the plot in some ways, but I promise that it will all add up in the end to a better story than I originally had. Also, as a warning, like the last one, some of this could be a bit meta, and while I think it works well, I thought I would at least point it out to you all here in the first chapter.

Looking ahead, so far this story is about 16 chapters, but there may be more as I continue to write it all down and figure out a few later plot details more in depth. Additionally, I was originally debating on if I should start posting this story before or after my upcoming trip, but I decided to just post it beforehand. Therefore, next week, I will be leaving this story on a cliffhanger of sorts. When it comes, I will remind you all again of this planned pause.

Also, just in case there is anyone reading this story who has not read my others, I would highly encourage you to check out the following link to the first story (The CONvention) in this planned trilogy. I explain a few things in the beginning of this story when they come up as a reminder, but reading my previous work would likely help explain a few things going on here a little better at the start.

Next, speaking of sequels, in my last big post at the end of The Opening story, I mentioned that this would be the year of sequels, but since then, I have been looking over the myriad of stories that I could be writing and realized that some stories could be more desired by you all than others. While I absolutely want to write this one and the Tell Me More sequel at some point this year, I think I am going to give you all a chance for some feedback for what I do next. At the end of this story, I will lay out at least three new stories that I could work on next. Each will be something that I want to work on, so I can still be happy in all this, so no need to fret there, but I know some of my stories have been more popular than others, so if anyone has any strong feelings about the next story at that point, please just let me know then.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoy the first chapter of my new story!

Chapter 1: Welcome To Another World

Falling. Tumbling. All at once, I could feel the void before me. I could see the pure nothingness below and all around me! Dropping. Plummeting. There was an emptiness in my stomach, a dryness in my throat, and itching over my skin. I was so scared. I wanted to cry but no tears would come. ‘Where was mommy?’ I tried to hold onto her hand, but it was no use. She slipped away from me, and I was all alone. Vulnerable. Terrified.

More falling, tumbling, and hurtling through the void of space. ‘I’m so scared! I’m going to be lost to this nothingness without mommy. Where is she? Where’s my mommy? Why has she left me? Why… wait…’

In all the confusion and chaos surrounding me completely, one thing actually started to become oddly clearer: my mind. It was as if I had been dunked into the icy waters of Maine for a polar bear swim in the early mornings like I did at camp one summer, but I wasn’t in pain… at least not in the typical sense. I still felt very alone and frightened, but I just felt suddenly clearer. I didn’t even need to push myself to get there. It was just… there like it was oddly the most natural thing in the world. Almost like the sediment settling into a glass… ‘But mommy…’

I shook my head as the universe of colors swarmed around me. ‘No… not mommy… her… Samantha… we were at the convention and then… oh god!’ I panicked as I saw the emptiness around me once more with my now clearer head and felt the magnitude of what I had just done. This woman that I had just met… I had followed her and had clearly left Earth, and right then, I felt like my senses as well. Now, I was tumbling through whatever all this murky darkness and swirls of colors was. It was all blinding and all nothingness at the same time, but ahead of me, just out of reach, something was clear. It took a moment for my eyes to make sense of it, but I realized it was an opening in all this.

No. Not an opening. More like a tear, but still… it seemed the way out of all this mess. Fortunately, whether I willed it or not, the sucking and plummeting happening all around my body were pulling me towards that one direction. Still, in utter panic, I shut my eyes for fear of being eviscerated or atomized into nothingness.

Then, all at once, the plummeting stopped. My feet touched solid ground. I opened my eyes, but I wished I had kept them closed. After all that, I never would have believed that thought would have ever entered my head, but there it was. When I first opened my eyes, I thought I was dreaming… hallucinating… something, but every time I tried to rub my eyes, the sight before me just wouldn’t vanish. There, only a few feet away, was still Samantha, Chelsea, Ditzy, Derek, and Luna, but something was massively different about at least a few of them.

As I stepped back slightly to the now solid wall at my back, I tilted my head up toward Samantha and my pacifier just dropped out of my mouth. Now, she had been maybe a little taller than me before, but now… she easily was almost double my height. I felt nauseous. I wanted to pass out… or to wake up from this whole odd nightmare or fever dream, but my body wasn’t allowing me. Samantha’s hand, now clutching onto mine once more, wasn’t allowing me to.

“Easy, there, sweetie,” she cooed from above. I awed in her presence before, but now, I felt like an ant… a child…

Chelsea chuckled from nearby. “I think you might need to help him out there a bit, Sam. Some Littles lose some or all of their mental blocks coming through from the meds… though, I don’t think I can say exactly the same for these two, huh?” She then bent over herself to the smaller figures of Ditzy and Derek before her and smiled widely. “Isn’t that right?” she babyishly cooed at the two. “I think mommy very much still has her two little toe munchers!”

With my now more alert brain, I could only stare in shock as the two just giggled along right along with her demeanor normally reserved for children. Of course, we had all just come from a con where one of the main goals was to be treated younger, but this just felt different. Maybe it was the size difference now and the real sense of power that Chelsea and Samantha now exuded in their significantly taller bodies, but all I knew was that it downright unnerved me to my core.

Terrified, I turned around to face the tear where I had just come from. Despite backing up into a solid wall moments ago, I still hoped that somehow, I was wrong. As I turned though, a lump formed in my throat as whatever had pulled me into this world was now gone. Now, it was just a large and firm white concrete wall that stretched up at least 50 feet to the ceiling overhead, only being interrupted by a few outlying thick metal cables that similarly wrapped around most of the rest of the large room we were in.

The shadows on the wall before me then shifted, and I was worried that something was about to eat me in this strange new world. I mean, after all, I had just come through some void portal type thing and three people I had come to know pretty well were suddenly at least two feet or more taller. Horrifyingly, the thought of some alien monster eating me whole right then didn’t seem so farfetched.

When I spun back around to see who or what it was, ready for the worst though, I saw that it was just Samantha crouching down from her high-up position to look at me more directly now as a comforting parent might do to their child. “Hey there, honey. I know this all must be a lot all at once but let me explain a few things. You…”

I crossed my arms and glared at her. “Forget it.” I felt like my trust had been betrayed by this woman now before me. Maybe it was whatever she had given me, but I thought I knew her well enough to embarrassingly call her ‘mommy.’ Now though, I felt like it was all a lie and that I had now been almost kidnapped in a way to another strange world.

From my single moment of defiance to her, Samantha seemed more stunned than anything else and there was just a moment of silence between us for a moment afterward. It was quickly broken however when both of us could clearly hear someone clearing their throat. Samantha and I looked to the culprit nearby. “I could help if you wanted, sis,” Chelsea slyly offered with her still-sinister eyes staring at me up and down like a predator would do to their next meal. “I wouldn’t mind taking this one in and showing them the rules of this world. You know how I am with Lit…”

“I’ve got this!” Samantha quickly spoke up, silencing her sister. “Now, just attend to your own. You’ve already done enough by bringing your own Littles along in the first place. I don’t need you mucking up another Little.” Her words were cold and calculating and I could still sense the tension that I had witnessed between the two before we left. ‘What was going on between them now?’ I wasn’t sure what to make of it, but Samantha swiftly turned her attention back to me. As soon as she met my gaze, her frown then quickly evaporated. “Sorry about her. She can be a bit… much. I guess I should know having lived with her and all when we were little… Oh boy, did we have some fights…” she chuckled to herself.

She was clearly trying to ease the tension that I was giving off, but I wasn’t having it. I was terrified in my own way, but I didn’t want to show this vulnerability to her… this… giantess. With my mind clearer now than before, I wanted to punch her squarely in the face. Sure, I had some desire to be treated like this… there were even a few stories I had read that played out this very scenario… but that’s all they were. They were just my fantasies. To be here now staring up at this woman, even when she was crouched, who seemed to now be nearly twice my height… I wasn’t amused or swayed by her efforts.

I guess my poker face wasn’t up to snuff and that all my feelings were highly evident to her. As such, Samantha’s own smile soon faded. “I’m guessing that you’re definitely all you then… am I right?” I swiftly nodded and she sighed deeply. “I was afraid of that happening. It’s always a risk we take when we bring any of you all back, but in an odd way… I’m kind of glad.”

I thought I could see something else behind her eyes… like the gears of her mind were already turning, but I still barely knew this woman in hindsight. She was amazing at the con, but now, all that had changed. She hadn’t exactly lied to me, but now, I felt that anything that I knew about her before all this, couldn’t be trusted… doubly so with what she told me. With my mind back, I felt like we were starting all over. Still though… I couldn’t help but feel an odd connection with her. That being said, Samantha started back up before I could dwell on those thoughts any longer.

“You know, this way, we’ll actually be able to talk to each other,” she said, clearly trying to smile her way back into my heart. Frustratingly, it was working a little. “It means a few other things might be a bit more difficult, but this could actually help with everything…” She then trailed off a bit.

I almost wanted to know what was running through her head right now, and what she meant by ‘help,’ but the sound of approaching footsteps quickly broke my thoughts. Samantha immediately stood back up and seemed to take an almost defensive position in front of me.

Looking behind the rest of our group, from the thud of boots on the ground, I could see another group rapidly approaching us in formation. They seemed organized and nearly flawless in their appearance, but each also carried an intensity of coiled-up power that could have struck at any moment. To be honest, even beyond their size, it alone definitely intimidated me a bit.

Once they got right in front of us, they all stopped at the same time and the person at the front of the three columns of these new giants stepped forward. “By the authority of the Academy of Extra Dimensional Travel, I want to welcome you all back, or for some of you, here for the first time. First, before anything though, you need to go through decontamination.” She then clapped her hands and the ranks behind her began to disperse and descend upon us. A few of the more intimidating members of the group in dark uniforms stayed behind though.

As the members drew nearer, the man spoke once more and now directed himself to both Chelsea and Samantha directly. “Also, you two will be briefed as well. Be sure to tell them everything. And I mean everything.”

I felt a tiny spark of fear travel up my spine, but, neither Chelsea nor Samantha looked shocked at all by all this, so I guessed this was probably just protocol. Still though, I didn’t want to be separated from the one grounding force in my life. She may have lied, omission or otherwise, but she was still a stable figure in all this madness and chaos. So, maybe out of instinct or something more in the back of the lingering feelings for her in my heart from the con, I edged closer to Samantha’s side.

At first, she seemed shocked by my near childish actions, but she only looked down on me tenderly when I bumped into her leg. “It’s okay, Percy. These people just want to help you out… make sure you’re not sick or that you’ll get others sick here. We’ll see each other soon. Promise. Just go with them and do what they say.”

Her words were just that at this point with how I was feeling, but it was still a promise that I could bottle up and hold onto for the time being as the masked and gowned individuals rapidly approached all around us. Acknowledging what she just said, and to ensure no one thought that I was going to be a problem, I just nodded my head and waited for further instructions. The last thing I needed was to insight insurrection or rebellion in an unknown world without any means of escape.

So, as I figured, the gowned and masked figures soon separated our group cleanly into three sets. Luna went with one set of the masked and gowned figures, Chelsea and Samantha with another, and Ditzy, Derek, and I went with yet another. It was the first time I could see the separations of our group solely by our height, but it definitely wouldn’t be the last.

To my utter chagrin though, my group was the shortest and it immediately became clear to me what our new captors of a sort thought about us. Coming only up to their stomachs at best, I knew we likely appeared to be children to these giants, but I hated the assumption. Still, I felt pretty confident that I was in what I could assume to be a hostile nation, so I still remained quiet and non-threatening.

See, I had seen plenty of TV over the years to know that being in a hostile nation, one had to think about the enemy constantly. Samantha seemed like a good person, but I also worried that Chelsea could be more of the usual type around here with their species. So, as such, I needed to keep my mental abilities a secret for now and just comply with everything that they threw at me. With any luck, it could throw them off balance when I decided to strike and escape, or, if nothing else, my more passive state could allow me to gleam information from them when they thought I was no more mentally aware than my companions. Even if I did slip a little bit, even hiding half my natural mental so psychological abilities could prove useful in the long run.

Speaking of my companions, as the masked and gowned personnel escorted off to one hallway, a few in front of us and a few behind, I tried to get either Ditzy’s or Derek’s attention. Curiously enough, while Ditzy seemed to just be enraptured in the moment, Derek just looked more confused than anything. Ditzy didn’t seem aware of what was happening in the slightest, but Derek… he almost seemed like he knew something was wrong, but just didn’t quite have enough mental power to be able to comprehend it all. So, I tried to talk with my friend to see if I could move his thoughts along to become an ally over here.

“Derek… Derek…” I whispered. I didn’t want these giants leading and following us to hear that I had the ability reason or command others… at least not yet that is. “Derek… you okay buddy? You in there? Come on, man.” He looked at me quickly but then almost fumbled over his own shoes in his distracted state. I quickly caught my buddy, but besides his accident there, the subtle hiss I heard from nearby alerted me to the fact that he could do little else for him now beyond those types of small things. It was now clear to me that, at least for the time being, I couldn’t rely on him. Sighing, and determined to at least view all my options, I then turned my attention to Ditzy.

I hoped that maybe there was something I could get out of her… some hidden spark of life in her head, but instead, she just cooed and smiled at me. At one point before the people in front of us stopped, I saw her make an angry face, and I thought that maybe she was coming to her senses, but I was only rewarded with a small fart coming from her rear… or at least that’s all I hoped it was.

“Hold here,” the head of our new group announced as he stopped along a corridor. Ditzy and Derek didn’t seem to warrant his words and only stopped when a few of the other gowned and masked people around us stopped them physically. Derek looked confused and Ditzy just giggled.

“Right…” the man said before then heavily sighing. “Not sure if you Littles even know what I’m saying, but just follow those who help you out and be prepared to be processed through these doors.” He then nodded to the rest of those around us. “Cleaners? Go to work.”

Immediately, the gowned and masked ‘cleaners’ around us then split us up individually. Derek whimpered and Ditzy whined sadly for a moment, but the cleaners seemed to be used to this type of reaction and quickly distracted them both as they were then each guided into their own separate rooms. Then, the cleaners nearest to me swooped in and started to guide me forward as well.

While I couldn’t see their mouths due to the masks, I could see the look of tension immediately turn to relief when I didn’t cry out or put up a fight against them. ‘Should I have?’ I wasn’t sure if that would maintain my cover better or not, but regardless, the two cleaners then escorted me into my own room.

Inside was mostly tile with a large box-shaped glass shower in one corner. A few nozzles and a drain made up the rest of the shower while storage bins lined the walls next to it. With some appreciated gentleness on their part, the man and woman cleaner guided me into the room. Seeing the shower, I guess it should have been obvious, but I was still surprised when they began to strip off my clothing.

“Oh? It looks like one of the recruiters might have claimed this one, Jimmy,” the woman remarked as she viewed my diaper, one which I couldn’t now clearly see wasn’t one I recognized at all from the numerous sellers back at the con. “Why do they always do that? I mean, claim them before anyone else?”

Jimmy shrugged. “Who knows, Nance? We’re cleaners and not recruiters, so we only see the aftermath of all they or the hunters do, even when we go over there. Still though,” he paused and looked me over, “this one is a bit of a cutie. I mean, look at this thing.” Jimmy then pulled out my stuffed tiger, Stripe. I didn’t want to be that person here, but I also really wanted to give him a squeeze. It could have been viewed as a weakness or giving into how they likely already viewed me, but in times where one is stripped to nothing but their diaper and socks and staring at a shower, which could only mean one thing next, one tends to want the small comforts in their lives.

“Very cute,” Nancy replied. “Put it back though. All this needs to be decontaminated officially. Down the hatch like usual, Jimmy.”

I didn’t want to, but I just couldn’t help it. A tiny whimper escaped from the back of my throat. Both instantly looked at me. I wished I could say that’s all that happened, but my emotions were still in flux, so I was realizing just how little control I still had over some of my actions, feeling so vulnerable and even maybe still being affected a bit by whatever Samantha had given me at the con. “Please… not Stripe.”

“Ah,” Jimmy began as he smirked a bit, “so you can talk. I was wondering that, but don’t worry little one. He just needs to get cleaned. Just like you.”

Nancy then put a foreign but oddly reassuring warm hand on my shoulder. “Yeah. By the time you’re on your way out of here, he’ll be right there with you.” I still didn’t want him to leave, being one of the seemingly last tethers here in this new world to my old life back on Earth, but I just nodded.

“Perfect,” Jimmy noted as he put Stripe back in my backpack. He then walked over to the side of the room and opened what looked like a mail slot chute and dropped my clothing and backpack down it. After the chute clanged shut, he turned back around and began to walk toward the shower and popped it on. Steam soon began to fill up the room.

Nancy then used her still warm and comforting hands to face me toward her. “Now… Percy, right?” I nodded, quickly wondering how this virtual stranger knew my name. “Good. I know all this must be a little scary, but we just need to clean you up and make sure you don’t get anyone over here sick or anything, okay?”

“Okay…” I said quietly. ‘Why was I so shy around everyone now? I wasn’t exactly the social butterfly back home, but I could have at least put up some resistance to these people… was I still changed from whatever Samantha had given me?’ I didn’t want to think about it, so I just turned back to the reassuring smile of Nancy in front of me.

“Alright then. Take these first.” She then handed me a few pills, and oddly enough, I took them without question. Nancy only smiled back. “Very good, Percy. They’ll help with your inside cleansing. Now, we need to get your outsides cleaned.” She then bent down and looked directly into my eyes. “I know some of you might be a little shy around some of this still, but just take a few breaths for me. I promise… I don’t want to hurt you.” Still nervous, I did as she asked, but I also wondered why she was asking me to do tha… ‘Oh!’

With clearly practiced precision, Nancy quickly ripped off my diaper in nearly one large pull. My hands immediately shot to my front and Nancy and Jimmy just chuckled but still said nothing. I blushed about as hard as I could, but just complied and steadied myself against her when Nancy then removed my socks and backed me up toward the shower. “Okay. In you get now.”

I looked behind me and it honestly looked just like any normal high-end shower, though slightly peculiar as the two near-giants before me flanked it on either side. I still wasn’t sure what to make of all these people’s heights compared to mine, but with the water fully steaming now and looking ever-so inviting, I stepped in. Both Nancy and Jimmy smiled and closed the door to seal me inside under the relaxing waters.

The glass walls of the shower were quickly fogging up, but I could still make out the forms at my eye level of both the cleaners outside. “Okay. Now, we need to give you a good scrubbing with some special suds. It’s tear-free and all but it will get down into your pores,” Jimmy announced from above. I wanted to ask so many other questions, but the water slightly drowned me out and two large scrub brushes soon descended onto my body and began rubbing me everywhere.

At first, it almost felt luxuriating, but the brushes did their work well… almost too well. My skin became extremely sensitive under the hot water and somehow, I could feel the soapsuds almost seeping into my skin in real-time. It wasn’t altogether unpleasant… just uncomfortable in some strange way. Soon, however, the scrubbing stopped and after a moment of being soaked once more by the hot water, Jimmy turned off the shower.

Nancy then opened the door and held a giant fluffy light blue towel open in both her hands. “Okay, sweetie. Let’s get you dry and dressed, shall we?” I was still very conscious of my naked form, so I practically dove headfirst into the towel, much to the amusement of Nancy and Jimmy. Then, after a brief toweling, I felt almost miraculously dry, and I was soon guided to another door in the room. Entering through, I couldn’t believe my eyes over what I was witnessing before me.

I guess I should have guessed a room like this was coming eventually with all that I had seen, but a nursery seemingly built to your size as if you were an actual toddler… it was something else to behold entirely. Sure, the con had some amazing stuff, but baring a few outliers, almost everyone was within a foot height-wise of each other. Here though, with the giants all around me and the nursery being just about my size… it was nearly overwhelming.

“Keep going, Percy. We need to get you dressed and all,” Nancy coaxed my stunned form, guiding me further into the room.

Then, I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised either when I was quickly led to a changing table, where I then noticed that both Ditzy and Derek were also lying on their own now. I wanted to call out to them, but Derek still seemed confused from this angle as a thick diaper was pulled up between his legs, so I thought better of it. Ditzy fussed for a moment herself, but then was quickly distracted by a set of dangling multi-color plastic keys. So, once again, I knew I couldn’t be too reliant on my compatriots for any measure of comfort or even simple interaction.

Nancy then righted herself to the changing table and faced me. “Alright, up we go!” she cheered. Then, without any other warning, she tightly gripped me under my armpits and hoisted me right onto the changing table. If this wasn’t a tiny part of some fantasy of mine coming true, I’d be lying, but I also would be massively lying to say that I wasn’t scared at the same time. Still, as Nancy pushed me down and secured a belt over my naked chest, I had little time to ponder such opposites.

“Jimmy… how about you go get the pre-prepared Little clothing ready. I’m thinking the blue stripe romper for this one and the rest will just be the standard outgoing.” Jimmy nodded and went to the other side of the room. Nancy then switched her attention back to me. “Okay… you just lie still, Percy, and all this will be over really quick, okay?” I nodded and prayed silently that she was right.

The next few minutes then became a series of me shutting my eyes really tight until Nancy started some new process and would cause my eyes to bulge open and a whimper would escape my mouth. First, it was when she pulled the towel away. Second, was when she started wiping me down. Third, was when she hoisted my legs up in the air. Fortunately, true to her word, the change was soon over, and I was face-to-face with another thick diaper taped about my waist.

“Geez, you here what they did, Pepper?” one of the other cleaners asked.

“No. What, Trevor?” Pepper asked, clearly intrigued.

“These Littles…” Trevor continued. “Their mommies stole them from the Academy’s possession quota and went over their designated standard recruitment numbers. I heard the field cleaners today had to do a lot just to accommodate their screw up. Mark my words, heads are going to roll. You think…”

“I think you all should mind your own business,” Nancy quickly interjected between the two. “This one might still be with us mentally and all. You know how Littles are here… you never know what they might say back to anyone here. Including you-know-who…” Pepper and Trevor’s mouths hung open for a second before they then quickly snapped back to Ditzy and Derek as they finished their own changing process.

The room then remained deathly silent with the thinly veiled threat that Nancy had made. “Here you are, Nancy,” Jimmy said, breaking the silence after coming back over with my new clothing.

Nancy quickly took them. “Yes, thank you, Jimmy. How about you go check on his other items we sent to decontamination, and I finish up here?” Jimmy only nodded and scampered off out of the room. Nancy once again turned her attention back to me, and in only a few minutes, she was attaching the last strap of my shoes across my feet.

Nancy then helped me down and led me out through yet another set of doors. This time, they led to another corridor and then out to a massive lobby. The ceiling shimmered in reflective glass and marble columns interspersed the area between accents of cooper and brass. It was all very impressive and a smidge intimidating.

While walking before all that though, I couldn’t help but wonder what Trevor was talking about from earlier with Samantha and Chelsea. From my almost Swiss cheese memories right before we stepped through whatever all that was to come here, I knew that Samantha had been upset at Chelsea about something. I couldn’t remember what exactly, but I knew an angry tone of voice when I heard one. As we then waited in the lobby for a moment, I pondered this exact thing further.

It was strange almost with how I felt about Samantha. On the one hand, she had drugged me and taken me without my complete and sober consent, but on the other… she was someone who had at least seemed to care about me. It might have all just been her own caring way or simply have been a way to get me here I will admit, but at the same time, my options were limited in the number of people I could actually rely on.

As Ditzy exited first, her fingers partially exploring her own mouth with the utmost glee, her whole presence and even the short pink dress she was wearing essentially confirmed that my allies were slim to none around here… particularly if you counted those who could still speak. I didn’t have to fully like or submit to Samantha mind you, but as far as allies went, I knew she was my best bet of maybe eventually going back home… or at least not getting snatched away and making this whole situation even worse than it already was.

I mean, that’s how these things always went. Stupid main character gets in over their head and winds up kidnapped and regressed. It was me almost verbatim, except that I had already been ‘kidnapped’ of a sort. I didn’t want to repeat the whole thing with someone I didn’t even know, so I just moved awkwardly out of the view of a few of the more intense giant lookers. Since I had come here, I had noticed them, but here in the lobby, I was getting very uncomfortable under their stares.

Fortunately, after all that, our wait didn’t last too much longer, and we were soon joined by the rest of the group and the cleaners soon departed back into the building. As soon as Chelsea and Samantha arrived though, our crowd grew exponentially, and the pair were bombarded by a hoard of questions from other giants in the lobby. “How are you two?” “How was the trip?” Did Shitake… no, Shawshank… no, shish kabob… you know what I mean… did it go okay?” “Are these your Littles?” Which ones are yours, Chelsea, or yours, Samantha?” “Why do they seem so… wait, did you perform a Code Zero on them already?” Did you all break the rules again?” “What about the rest of us?” “Don’t we deserve our own Littles as well?”

It was all frankly almost too overwhelming. With Samantha, my one coherent even remote semblance of an ally nearby, I soon shyly and yes, even childishly hid behind her legs for some measure of comfort against all these giants. She too was wearing something different, this time sporting just some slacks and a blouse, but her comforting presence remained as strong as ever.

Fortunately, right as I could tell that the crowd was definitely getting to Ditzy and Derek, two more people entered the fray. “Alright, alright. Back it up!” Luna announced.

“Yes!” the red head followed. “I know you all have several questions for two of our most esteemed recruiters, but that will need to come later.” The crowd audibly groaned. “Yes, yes. Big disappointment I know, but we will let you all know when you can ask your questions later. For now, just go back about your business.”

The crowd seemed visibly frustrated, but then quickly dispersed after that and the two nearly twirled back around to our group. “Thank you, Luna. You were very good,” Samantha praised.

“Thank you, Samantha, but Harriet here should get the real credit,” Luna said, gesturing over to the red head beside her. “She did the real moving. You all know how that’s not really who I am.”

The red head blushed a bit. “Oh stop, Luna. You’re just as good. I just wanted to help out Samantha and Chelsea. Nothing anyone else wouldn’t do.”

Samantha smiled back at her. “Perhaps, but you are a very good assistant to us, Harriet. You’ll make an excellent recruiter one day when you graduate.”

“Better than me at least…” Chelsea scoffed, now currently playing with Ditzy’s hair, much to my friends clear and drooling delight.

“Hmmm…” Samantha said, clearly still not amused with her sister. “You know… you could at least try to act like…”

Everyone then stopped and turned back around as soon as we heard the thudding of multiple footsteps once again. I was half expecting it to be more cleaners, but instead, only a crowd of very forceful individuals were now marching our way, now all dressed in the dark uniforms I had seen earlier with the cleaners group. Two were dressed in judges’ robes while the rest just wore some type of professional attire. “Recruiter 99 and 108?”

“Yes?” Chelsea and Samantha asked nearly at the same time, both clearly looking a little nervous to whoever this person speaking was.

The uptight woman then moved closer and stared both of them down, being at least half a foot easily over both of them. “It is my duty today to take you both into custody. Judge security… arrest them.”

To my horror, several security guard-looking people descended onto both Chelsea and Samantha. Chaos then ensued. Luna and Harriet tried to defend the two and demanded an explanation of the charges. Ditzy and Derek began to freak out over losing their caregiver so abruptly. Chelsea may not have been my favorite person, but in their regressed states, she was practicality Ditzy’s and Derek’s whole world now. As for me, I watched as my one true confidant and person most likely to help me, was taken away in cuffs. To say that I began to panic in my own way was a massive understatement.

“What are the charges?” Luna pleadingly asked as their friends and mentors were taken away.

“Tell us right now,” Harriet demanded. “I’m part of this Academy and I know our rights. They are both recruiters and deserve to know why they are being detained by your forces.”

There was a hushed silence amongst the group. Both Chelsea and Samantha looked surprised by their assistant’s sudden declaration, but seemingly also relieved as well. Finally, the lead guard stepped forward. “Maybe for graduated members,” she sneered at Harriet, “but you aren’t one of those, are you?” Harriet’s head dipped and shook back and forth. “That’s what I thought. I might have made an exception for you lot, given the family history and all, but, not today. They pushed it too far this time.”

Luna stepped up, and despite them being at least over a foot taller than me now, unlike Harriet, they still had to look up at the lead guard. “Please… will there be a trial at least? For the Littles… and their mother…” Curiously, as soon as they finished their plea, the guard seemed to quickly soften. It occurred right about as Luna said ‘mother,’ but it had to be her sympathies for us… right? And not just some outside lady connected to them?

Regardless, the lead guard sighed. “Very well… I can at least inform you all of a trial.” She then reached into her jacket and pulled out a single red envelope that she then handed to Harriet. Harriet took it with hauntingly trembling fingers. “Read this later. It will explain it all… and your role in it.”

Harriet and Luna suddenly seemed devastated, but both still nodded.

Seemingly satisfied, the lead guard snapped, and the guards began taking Chelsea and Samantha away. Chelsea seemed to just struggle, but Samantha turned around as she was being escorted out of the lobby. “Stay strong and safe,” she called out back to us. “Listen to Harriet and Luna. They’ll keep you safe!” Then, just like that, she disappeared behind a large bronze door. It quickly slammed and the lobby filled with its terrible thunder. Then, there was nothing but silence and the continued whimpers coming from both Ditzy and Derek.

Luna seemed to notice this and shook off whatever the red envelope meant and began to console both of them, which quickly evolved into a full-on hug. To be honest, I felt a little left out, but I don’t think I was quite ready to forgive Luna for their deception of us quite yet. Though, from their saddened and panicked face, I felt like at that moment, they needed the hug just as much as the two regressed individuals before them.

After a moment, Harriet then placed her hand on their shoulder and Luna broke the hug. Both stared at the red envelope, but Harriet’s watch soon dinged and broke both of their heavy and concentrated faces. Harriet’s eyes bulged out as she looked at the message on her watch. “Oh! That’s her now. We need to get out of here and explain everything right away. She’s going to want to know everything!”

Luna nodded. “Right…” They suddenly seemed hesitant. “How do you think she’ll take the news?”

Harriet sighed as she began to shuffle us all out of where we were in the lobby. “Not well on one hand I think, but she’s also a professional and a realist. Once she sees and hears what they did, she’ll understand on one level at least… especially given her… history.”

“That’s a fair point,” Luna nodded before getting behind Ditzy and pulling her away from another, us-sized individual. Regrettably, they seemed much more like Ditzy and Derek than of my own mental awareness. It wasn’t a good sign of the world I was now about to fully enter.

Before leaving the lobby, we all then passed by a single almost coat check-like area by the entrance. I wondered why we were there of all places in a moment like this where everything seemed to be in utter chaos and a worst-case scenario type of situation. After a panicky moment though, I then saw the backpack I had brought with me in coming to this world. To my relief right then, I knew that we were getting our stuff back, but more importantly for my own sake, I was also about to get Stripe back as well.

It was at that point that I realized something big that shook me to my core. In essence, I had just lost the one person who could have helped me escape back home. I wasn’t ready to trust Luna quite yet, I didn’t know Harriet at all or had even seen the person we were about to meet, and for all their charm and apparent happiness, Ditzy and Derek were about as helpful to my returning home as Stripe was.

Still, as we waited for our items to be checked out and I saw more of all these giants staring at me, I made do with what I had at the time. Luna was shorter than practically everyone else of the upper height category of beings, but I knew I was in desperate need of a protector of some kind around here in this strange land. Maybe Harriet could be that way one day, but for now, I just edged behind Luna’s legs in safety. They weren’t much, but they were something in a land where I had almost nothing now.

The clerk chuckled at my actions, but I paid her no mind… I had much more serious concerns on my hands now. In moments, we would meet another person in all this mess and leave the very building that could get me back home. I was on a new and foreign planet, and while such wonders could lie just outside the doors behind us, as another giant looked at me rather uncomfortably and dragged their own glazed-looking me-sized person behind them, I could only worry with great unease over what my future was to be now for the foreseeable future. Distressingly, something told me that I was about to embark on a very rocky road ahead.

  • LostBBoyBear changed the title to The CONtingency: A Diaper Dimension Story (Chapter 01 - Updated 21 January)

I'm so excited about this story. If I remember correctly, Luna is a Betweener right? Since she did wear diapers and call Chelsea Mistress. Anyway, I'm really excited to see what happens to the two Amazons.

I'm very happy to read this. My one issue with the other one for most of its length was that Samantha and Chelsea behaved like bigs but were the same size as everyone else. (I still don't really get that, though maybe it was explained and I just don't recall?) Anyway, they are Big now, so problem solved. I do hope that Samantha's seeming nonchalance is justified though; it would be a shame to lose her as a character this abruptly.

Never fear for Samantha! She will be back. I just wanted to show some consequences to what they did. I promise that it will all work itself out in one form or another.

As for the size difference (I do apologize to the original writer for not remebering this), but most change their size going through the portal. Littles coming to the DD, may shrink, but Bigs may shrink when they come to Earth. It's a sneaky little plot point that allows them to walk amongst us and that we might not even know about it. I always thought it was a great concept, so I just included it in my canon of stories. The only differences with the size bits for Big, Middles, and Littles, is that Bigs are less susceptible to the change and will revert to their original size coming back to the DD. Many Littles who come back to Earth may not be so lucky. I hope that explains it well enough...

In this first chapter. Im a bit confused. You did say that Chelsea and Samantha was taller then him. But nothing about Luna being much shorter then them and but did mention she was taller them him. Is she a Big or a Mid? I don't remember if it was directly said, but I think it was implied she was a Mid and, I think a slave of Chelsea. And as a Mid, how was she able to get everyone to leave Samantha and Chelsea alone? Unless when she referred to Harriet as the one doing most of that, she meant that they only did what she said because Harriet is an Amazon and was right behind her glaring at them?

Also, u like Samantha.  She didn't break the rules, Chelsea did. I hope whatever punishment they give Chelsea, hopefully giving her a bare bottom paddling like she likes to give out, diapered and sent to an etiquette school and Samantha's punishment is lighter, maybe some diaper punishment and a spanking, but nothing too bad.

I really only focused on the massive height differences with Chelsea and Samantha because they would have been immediately obvious to someone like Percy. Keep in mind that Middles can range from about 6 1/2 feet to about 9. I know some of this gets a little loose in the storytelling sometimes, but Luna is on the shorter side of the equation here as a Middle. So to someone from our Earth, while there would be a noticeable height change with Luna, she could almost still look normal (at least realtively in height compared to Chelsea or Samantha). I'll be elaborating on this more in future chapters, but I hope that reasoning makes sense.

Also, both Harriet and Luna tried to disperse the crowd. While Luna's pleas to disperse may have been heard, they really didnt move until Harriet told them to. Lastly, Luna has a little pull with who she is connected to, so that helps her out, but bottom line, she is definintely a Middle in this society.

And don't worry about their punishments... they'll be getting just what they deserve.

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lateness and if things may have been a little more muddled in the last chapter with some elements. I always forget that the DD doesn’t always abide by its own rules for portal travel, so I know that can make a few mechanics confusing for some. For clarification in this story at least, Chelsea and Samantha are Bigs, while Luna is a Middle. Also, when one goes through the portal, sizes can change, especially if they haven’t taken the medicine (which still hasn’t been invented for another 20-30 years at this point). So Bigs may appear normal in our world and their true size in their own world. Humans can shrink a bit going to the DD, but that doesn’t always happen (I still don’t think there is an explanation for this so far).

Regardless, I’m hoping to be able to post at least two more chapters after this one before my trip. I think it will be entirely doable by then, but I’ll let you know more during the next chapter about all that when I can see the details of how it will all work out a little more.

Anyways, I hope everyone enjoys this next chapter!

Chapter 2: Caution and Relief Tempered

Walking outside, I could feel the brisk March air catch in my throat. Wherever we were, it seemed to have similar weather to where we had just left from back on Earth. I then marveled at how everything looked so similar, yet all still slightly different outside. I had always heard of parallel Earths and found them to be fascinating, and that was the only explanation I could come up with to explain all this, but it was still a wonder to observe in person.

Luna and Harriet quickly ushered us to one side of the entrance where the sidewalk came in a bit toward the building and to a single shelter. Cars were already lined up and I knew it must be the pick-up and drop-off area for the enormous angled and tiered building we had all just come from. Being the defacto leader, Harriet soon had us all huddled as one under the shelter.

While she looked for what I could only guess to be our ride, Luna noticed the whimpering of us Littles under the bitter cold. We had all brought our jackets from back on Earth, but it just felt even colder here, much to my annoyance. In fact, the only positive I could really say about still wearing a diaper, is that it gave my nether regions a bit of extra protection from the bitter chill now encapsulating each of us.

“It’s going to be okay,” Luna said, seemingly trying to convince herself of the sentiment at the same time. “We just need to stick together, and everything will be just fine. I can pinky promise or cross my heart even, if that would help…”

I could feel the sincerity in their words, but I didn’t budge or make a noise. Ditzy and Derek seemed to follow along, but then made no noise or acknowledgement of their wording either. Quickly, Luna looked extremely dejected over this turn of events. Harriet noticed.

“It’s okay, Luna. They’ll be fine and everyone in this little group will be just fine,” she said with a note of sincerity and conviction that Luna previously lacked. Despite not even really knowing Harriet beyond being the assistant of Samantha or Chelsea and not having graduated yet, I still felt more relieved with her than I did with Luna.

“Besides,” she continued, “I’m not sure they even know what you were promising them in the first place. They’re probably just cold right now, but that should soon be… oh! Speaking of which, here she is now.”

Having understood her better than she thought, I peered out to the partially frozen road in front of me and soon saw a speeding and sleek SUV pull up and screech to a stop before us. The engine still running, an elderly woman stepped out.

I could see the etched lines of time across her face, but there was also a grace and a warmth about her that I just couldn’t put my finger on. She was neither glamorous nor dull, but she then confidently walked up to both Harriet and the still timid Luna with an elegance that I admired. “Hey there, you two! How’s the two of my four favorite people in the world doing?” she exclaimed, quickly wrapping both up in a large hug, one arm bending straight out while the other had to stoop a bit to capture up the shorter Luna.

After a moment the hug broke, and Harriet sighed. “Hey there, Oppy. Not but, but I…”

The woman, I guessed called Oppy, quickly shot her pointer finger up to Harriet’s lips and looked at her very closely. “It’s okay, Harriet. I already know my daughters are being detained.”

Harriet seemed stunned, but Luna just looked like all the pieces were finally fitting together in their head. I was still confused, but Luna soon pulled out the red envelope from their coat and handed it to Oppy. Oppy’s face soon turned grave and sour.

“Oh… well, that changes it all a bit then, doesn’t it?” The others nodded and she took the envelope and then deposited it into her own jacket. “Well, I suppose then there should be a few visitors staying with us then if I’m getting this particular envelope today?”

Harriet nodded and backed out of her line of sight and gestured toward the three of us. “Oppy, this Ditzy, Derek, and Percy.”

The woman still seemed a bit saddened, but as soon as she got within her arm’s reach of us, her smile swiftly returned to her face. Crouching down, she then got a better look at each of us. “Oh, aren’t you all just too precious. No wonder my daughters gobbled you up for themselves. That was very naughty of them, but I don’t think I could truly say I would have done differently myself if our roles were reversed.”

Ditzy seemed to squirm a bit under her gaze, but Oppy just rubbed her shoulder and looked deeply into her eyes which seemed to do the trick in calming her down. “I know, I know, little one. This is all a bit scary, but you’re going to come with me now to my house. I promise you that everything will be okay once we’re all nice and comfy there.”

Once again, unlike Luna, I actually felt the sincerity in her words. Not that Luna was a flat-out liar, but with Oppy and Harriet, one could just hear a certainty from them with the outcome in all this. It could have been a façade to hide the truth, but if nothing else, they were at least able to cover up their own doubts about it all. Still, I couldn’t help but fidget a bit over going to this virtual stranger’s house. I now knew she was Samantha’s and Chelsea’s mom, but that didn’t help much either.

Unfortunately, my fidgeting was soon noticed by Oppy. She looked at me oddly for a moment, but then just smiled. “I bet you’re all a bit cold, aren’t you?” She didn’t wait for a reply, likely not even expecting one from us in our apparent states of regression. “Well, let’s just bundle up in my car, and we’ll be off in no time! Come on, little ones!”

I was still hesitant about this woman and pondering over her previous odd look toward me, but to my surprise, both Ditzy and Derek still remained put as Oppy stood back up. Likely sensing the distrust amongst us, Luna came back over to reassure us. “It’ll be okay. She’s your mommies’ mommy. She’s family and we can trust her. With everything that is about to happen, we’re going to need someone like her.” She then tenderly reached out and took Ditzy’s hand first. It took a moment, but all of us soon followed over and to Oppy’s car.

Oppy then paused as she opened the door and looked at each of us. “Oooh… I only have one car seat…” Luna and Harriet quickly saw the problem with us three on their hands now. “Right… well, we can’t disobey the laws around here, so Harriet?” The redheaded woman snapped to attention. “Can you please go back into the building and get two more? They should be able to help out with our little problem here.”

Harriet nodded and toddled off. Just as Oppy and Luna had finished popping the third row back up in her car, Harriet came bounding back out of the building with two car seats in her hands. “Got ‘em!”

“Excellent!” Oppy exclaimed. “Now, let’s just get these all secure and we’ll be ready to go.” Luna and Harriet nodded and proceeded to install the other two seats into the car. Finally, they stepped back and eyed the three of us still standing there in the cold.

“So… which do we put in the back alone?” Harriet asked. “Could be a problem being by themselves.”

Luna seemed just as perplexed, but Oppy only smiled confidently. “Oh, I think Percy should go back there. I just have a feeling that he’ll be perfectly fine.”

I briefly panicked that Oppy somehow knew, but she just smiled and lead me along to the backseat without a word and buckled me into the car seat. I briefly thought of acting up, protesting, or even trying to escape, rather than ride in a car seat of all things, but I knew that it just wasn’t the right time for any of those childish actions or escape plans. So, I just sat back quietly as Oppy did her job.

“Perfect!” she remarked with a twinkle in her eye once she finished. “And you were so good too!” I could feel myself blushing a little bit. She then got my backpack that I had discarded to the right of me and opened it up. “I think someone could use some company. You think you could help me out there?” she asked as she presented me with Stripe.

I wasn’t sure what game she was playing at, but I was just too happy to see Stripe again to ponder it further. Even with his slightly soapy smell now, he was still the same plush toy that I had fallen in love with back on Earth. Seeing him again reminded me of home, and despite being so far away in another world, his presence just made me feel safer. Curiously, I thought I saw another odd look come over Oppy’s face, but by the time I looked back at her, she was smiling once more.

Without another word, Oppy then backed out from the backseat and pulled up the middle seat of the second row. Ditzy and Derek were soon strapped in their own seats while Luna took pulled up middle one. Harriet and Oppy soon got in the front, the car hummed to life, and we drove away from the enormous academy building.

As we turned onto the main highway from the expansive facility there, Oppy spoke up once more while I could see her looking in the rearview mirror. “Now, you all can call me a few different names and I’ll honestly respond to any of them. They can be Grandma, Grandma O, Grandma Oppy, or even just Oppy. It makes no difference to me at this point in my life. Just whatever is easiest.”

I could have acknowledged her words right then, but Ditzy just giggled and spit out a few bubbles. The whole car, except me, burst into laughter. Oppy chuckled heartily herself. “I guess I can respond to that as well.”

I wasn’t sure what to make of everything, so I just occupied my time by hugging Stripe closely and looking outside. It was a curious view and the fresh fallen snow covered much of the sparse fields outside. Looking closer, I swore I could just make out a few craters that reminded me of those I had seen in a post online of some fields in France 100 years after World War One, so I knew something had to have happened here, but I just didn’t know what.

To be honest, I still felt a little fuzzy and not back to my old self even after coming through what I could only guess to be a portal to take us here. I wondered if it could have just been a new type of terrible jet lag, but I was worried it could have been something worse as well. Afterall, a few of my actions since I had gotten here weren’t exactly mature, but the thought was too depressing to truly contemplate, so I just stared back out the window and tried to distract myself well enough with the scenery there.

Not long after, the car quickly exited the main highway and after another few stoplights and stretches down some roads, Oppy finally pulled up to a rather cozy but large house. Now, granted, every house here seemed purpose built for these giants, being at least 40 to 50 feet high each, but hers was wide as well as tall. Additionally, the front gate to the neighborhood, the coordinating mailboxes, manicured hedges, and even just the smooth road itself gave me the distinct impression that Oppy was at least well-off in this society.

Regardless, everyone was soon unbuckled, helped or otherwise, and exited the vehicle. Leading us inside, Oppy gave us a quick tour of her house, which while big, was still pretty standard from what I could tell at least. Afterwards, Oppy, Luna, and Harriet sat on couches while Ditzy, Derek, and I sat on the floor. It wasn’t very dignified being seated like that, but for a second, I also thought I caught yet another odd look from Oppy coming my way. By now, being no dummy, I knew something had to be up with her, but I just prayed as hard as I could that it wasn’t anything negative against me. At that point, I really didn’t think I could take another blow of negatives in this area.

All at once then, Ditzy and Derek seemingly began to freak out at the same time. I briefly wondered if I should join them, but I knew my fake crying would likely just be as suspicious as I remained quiet. So, for the time being, I countenanced my quiet nature and just held back to salvage an ounce of my dignity.

Needless to say, Luna, Harriet, and Oppy tried their best to comfort the two crying Littles. Harriet looked at me for a brief moment, but once she saw I was just content with my still-present Stripe, she moved on to Derek instead. Soon, the trio found out that the only way to calm them down was to rest them on their laps or even cradle them a bit in their arms.

Sighing with relief and rocking Ditzy a bit in her arms, Oppy spoke up while Luna looked on between them and Harriet bouncing Derek on her knee. “Now, I know you all are scared about not being with your mommies, but I promise that you’ll see them tomorrow. They’re in a bit of trouble, but I’m sure they’ll both be okay…”

For the first time, I could then see a flicker of doubt in Oppy’s eyes, and I even started to get the sense of what she was saying was about as equally comforting to her as it was to either Ditzy or Derek right then. I think Harriet saw this as well.

“Maybe we should get some dinner started?” she offered to quickly change the subject. “I think I can cobble something up or I can just order for everyone?”

Luna eagerly nodded to the second option and Oppy just laughed. “I guess then maybe the second option. Could be a treat for all of us, and you know how Littles are with food. They’ll probably end up enjoying the order more than whatever we could make here.”

Harriet’s eyebrow arched and she looked like she was seconds away from smacking her own forehead. “Oh! That’s totally right. How could I forget something like that? Their tastebuds are so different than ours. I guess I need to do a little studying before my test next Monday then, huh?”

Luna and Oppy both smiled. “Maybe, but just don’t stress yourself too much out with it,” Oppy said reassuringly as she tried to calm the graduate down. It worked.

Soon, the food arrived and after an admittedly delicious meal of mac n’ cheese and some chicken nuggets, I was ushered off to my room in a slight state of happiness for even getting to use a fork for most of my meal. Still though, considering all that had happened today and with how I was dressed, I was fully preparing myself to be ushered into a nursery next alongside Ditzy and Derek. To my shock however, Luna just pointed to another room. “That’s yours. Oppy’s orders.” Without another word they then disappeared with Harriet into the clearly designated nursery room of the house.

With Oppy still tidying up downstairs, I walked alone into what was to be my new room. I wasn’t sure what I expected at that point, but as I crept over to the small bed and sat down on it, I was in a state of wonder over my plain-looking room. To be frank, minus the at least 15-foot-high ceilings, it reminded me very much of any other guest room or even hotel room that I had ever stayed in my life. ‘Was this a test? A trick by Oppy?’ I wasn’t sure, but I just reveled in the small amount of maturity of the bed I was now sitting on. Not long after, that’s just where I was still when Oppy knocked on the door.

“Knock, knock,” she said jovially as she then entered my room. I quickly bolted up and stared at her in terror, still not sure what to make of the room and her continued odd looks toward me. She quickly took notice.

“Easy. Easy there, sweetie. I’m not going to hurt you, but we do need to talk.” She then gestured over to the bed. “Please. Sit back down.”

I wasn’t sure if this was a trick or not, but without saying a word and not seeing the harm, I complied with her request. She only smiled back as she pulled up her own squat seat and sat down on it. Now, due to the bed’s higher frame and her lower seat, we were almost looking at each other eye-to-eye.

She then sighed. “It’s okay, Percy. I know you aren’t regressed anymore. You can drop your act now.”

My mouth opened in shock. I tried… wanted to defend myself, but no words would come. It was as if she had stolen them with her once simple phrase. I panicked and quickly tried to assess the room for possible weapons to use or exits to flee out of. Oppy instantly saw.

“Woah, woah. Calm down, Percy,” she said, trying to ease my jangled nerves. “While you’re under my roof, no one will harm you. I can absolutely promise you that, okay?”

Finally, I managed to find my own words. “Okay…” I said softly. I still wasn’t sure what her game was here, so I still had a great deal of reservation with this woman. Despite everything that her words and actions seemed to denote as her kindly grandma aesthetic, I still felt on edge with her.

“There… that wasn’t so hard, huh?” I didn’t reply back. “Well, that’s okay. I can do most of the talking now anyways, but I figured we could talk a bit about life here and my daughters. Or at least, your part in all of it with some aspects, okay?” I still didn’t speak, and Oppy chuckled a tiny amount. “Seriously, Percy. I won’t bite or anything. Just try and relax and all this will go a lot smoother. I’m going to want you to talk tonight, but can you at least nod for me for now?”

She was basically giving me cart blanche in this situation now, but my instincts were still on high alert. She could very well snap at any moment. Still though, she was offering me a handout and a possibility of a conversation. So, I complied and nodded my head.

“Good.” She then rocked back in her small chair a bit. “You see, I had a suspicion you weren’t really regressed when I picked you all up. You portray a very cute and convincing Little in this society, but I’ve been around enough of you Earthers, and not just Littles, to know the difference between being regressed or just being quiet. I kept watching you to be sure, but when you came out of dinner with only the need to lick your fingers after the nuggets and could actually use a fork, I knew my suspicions were correct. I mean, didn’t you realize that it was a little odd that we allowed you to feed yourself?”

Thinking back on it, I realized that I had been too distracted over the amazing taste of the food to even register the oddity. I was so used to eating on my own that combined with a little good food, I had totally missed the mark on keeping up my at least neutral act. I was guessing if I was anywhere else, the jig would have been up a long time ago. “I guess I didn’t… didn’t even think about something like that.”

Oppy smiled. “Right. You don’t even think about using a fork because you’re not regressed. By now, it’s just something that comes naturally to you. An old, learned skill or habit.” She then heavily sighed. “Not all Bigs will think that way, but I’m not like them, as I’m sure you’ll come to know over these next few weeks here.”

My mind then jolted. I was never really sure of a timeline for anything, but weeks staying here felt like a step too far. “Weeks? And wait, what’s a Big?”

Oppy laughed again and rolled her eyes. “Oh goodness me! Didn’t even think to explain all that to you. Ditzy and Derek just accept what’s in front of them, but you… you think on things still. So, let me be your guide.” I nodded in acceptance of her tutelage.

“Well, first,” she started, “there will be a trial. My daughters did something wrong, and for better or worse, they’re going to need your testimony for trial that might all stretch out for the next few weeks.”

“Oh…” I said, realizing just how involved and bumpy the next weeks might just be.

Oppy nodded and then held up three fingers. “Now there’s technically three types of our kind in this world. For your world, someone could just be tall or short, but here, an individual is divided into one of three categories. You are a Little. The shortest of the lot and most think you all as just children… though I’m guessing you’ve already experienced that, huh?”

I nodded. “Yeah. I didn’t think much of it at first, but then every Little I saw looked like they were a kid, or even younger, again.”

“Exactly. Not every Little here has been regressed like Ditzy or Derek, but there’s been a disturbing trend to make most of you all that way by any means necessary. So, because of that, you’re going to need to stay extra vigilant whenever we go outside. Just in case…” She then cleared her throat.

“The second category,” Oppy continued, “are the Middles. They land in the middle of the height spectrum here, but they are the rarest type, since most of their children usually have a high chance of being a Big or Little. So you know, Luna is one them.”

“Oh…” I said as it clicked in my mind why she had grown but not by as much as either Chelsea or Samantha had. I thought nothing much of it at first, but knowing she was a Middle now, it all made so much more sense now.

“Yes, but finally, there’s us Bigs,” she almost said proudly. “Now, we do have a few minor differences than you all, but if you get down to the nitty gritty, that’s really the only true difference. You all are more susceptible to certain drugs, but most don’t see you all like that. They’ll push past the similarities and focus on the differences.”

She then sighed heavily and looked at the window in my room. “Because of that, and all it entails in this world, we won’t stop you from trying to run away.” I was immediately confused, and likely sensing this, Oppy leaned forward closer to me. “I know it may seem odd, but you still have your mind about you. From that, you probably just want freedom, but know this. Barring some special permit or breaking into the academy, you are stuck in this world. So, with those odds, I would bet on you being captured within a week out there as a best-case scenario. As I said, up to you though.”

Her words hit me like a ton of lead, but I knew they were true. Here, I was just a Little, but that could mean a great deal to the right, or wrong, type of Big. They weren’t necessarily evil like any other species, but I was just a child in most of their eyes. If Chelsea was any indication, I knew my chances wouldn’t be great outside of this house if I wasn’t directly in the care of at least one Big. So effectively, I was trapped and jailed here until further notice.

“I know it’s a lot, but I hope I can help you out in any way that I can,” she said as she got up from her tiny seat and then walked over to the dresser in the room. “This room is one way to make you feel a little better, but these are another.”

I wondered what she meant as she reached into the top drawer, but I quickly saw the garment she was pulling out. “A diaper is your solution to make me feel better?”

Oppy quickly shook her head. “No, no. You’d be forgiven for thinking that, but this is something more. Look on the sides.” I did and immediately saw her stretch them out… almost like… “You see, this is a diaper in a way, but it can also act like underwear.”

“But…” I tried to speak up, thinking of all the potential downsides with even just this one as well.

Oppy shook her head. “No, no. You need some protection as there are certain requirements in some of the places you will be over the next few weeks, but I also want to take your maturity into account here. There’s strange forces in this world against you Littles, but this will allow you some dignity while still accounting for the just-in-case moments, if you will.”

“I…” I wanted to yell, spit, scream, and punch her for this stupid society as a whole. I hated the very notion of being forced into something so juvenile and not just as a part of some fantasy. I wanted it to be my choice… not just something that was required. Still though, from what I had seen so far, this was a big offer in this society. “Thank you for them, Oppy.”

Oppy smiled. “I know things can be tough on you Littles here, but I hope I can help.” She then pointed to another door in my room. “I also gave you this room because of what’s in there. Now, with Harriet staying with us for a bit and Luna not having a place of her own until at least one of my daughters is out, you’ll need to share the bathroom in there, but there is also a potty I’ve set up just for you. It’s not much, but if you can, you can spare yourself as much or for as long as you can.”

“I…” The full realization of what Oppy was now offering was hitting me with all its might. It was such a stupidly simple thing, but it was a gesture that I knew came from her heart. She wanted me to be happy here, and while this society was still crazed, the tiny potty meant more to me than a dozen new Stripes right then. In truth, while I wasn’t fully sure yet, I felt like I had just found another ally here. “Thank you, Oppy. It means a lot to me that you would do this.”

Oppy’s persistent grin warmed my heart. “You’re very welcome, Percy.” She then moved to the door. “Everything is going to be okay, but for now, just get some shut eye. There are some fresh pajamas in the top drawer but just let me know if you ever need any help with that device there.” She the then pointed to tall white rectangular device with a few buttons on it. One was clearly marked, ‘Oppy.’

“Luna and Harriet might not know about your… condition,” she said shakily about me not being regressed. I was clearly more of the exception than the rule when coming through the portal unregressed. “So, just in case, tell me if you need anything and I’ll try to help you out as soon as I can.”

I nodded. “Thank you again, Oppy… for everything.”

“You’re very welcome, Percy,” she said gently. “Please though. Get some sleep. You’re going to need it for what comes tomorrow.” I nodded and she soon closed the door.

Now alone with my thoughts and the still-present elastic diaper, while I knew there was danger and hard times ahead, for the first time since I had reawakened after my regression at the con, I felt an almost eerie sense of calm overtake me. Samantha was still arrested, the portals were still closed, and the garment basically was still a diaper, but things were becoming clearer and calmer by the minute now.

Here in this house, either from Oppy’s mere presence or her gestures, I could feel myself drifting off into a pleasant peace. It wasn’t much compared to everything else, but my small victories, in no small part thanks to her, were enough. Now, I had made it through another day, but as I picked up my new garment and felt its ever-present bulk still, I knew full-well that whatever was going to come tomorrow, it would be another difficult thing in this strange new and dangerous world.

  • LostBBoyBear changed the title to The CONtingency: A Diaper Dimension Story (Chapter 02 - Updated 22 January)

UPDATE

Hey everyone! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but life definitely got in the ways of my plans this week. I'm still going on my trip and have written out the next two chapters. Unfortunately though, I have not been able to edit them due to getting a wicked sinus infecton that came on pretty quickly. I'm hoping to be able to post another chapter when I get back from my trip next week, but I will let you all know then.

  • LostBBoyBear changed the title to The CONtingency: A Diaper Dimension Story (Chapter 02 - Updated 22 January) ON HOLD

Hey everyone! I’m back… well, sort of… I came back late on Monday, but let me tell you something about certain trips with me. A combo of dry desert air, a sinus infection, legalized smoking inside hotels and casinos, and persistent asthma under certain conditions, is not ideal. As such, while I did have a pretty good time, this story got delayed far more than I originally wanted it to. That being said, I am now back at work and as my deadline is only the end of February, I should be able to complete this story at a nice pace and on time.

Moving forward, I am hoping to be able to post a new chapter every other or even every day if I can. I don’t think I’ll necessarily have a rhythm, but this story will start to pick up the pace if nothing else.

I also just want to put out a free offer to anyone who maybe be somewhat confused with some of the elements in this story (like the height of Luna previously). This story is set many decades before even The Opening story and is told from a first-person point of view who isn’t even aware of this other dimension. Percy can make some leaps in intuition with his surroundings, but I know until then, some of the terms I use could be disorientating to long-time readers of the DD. Regardless, never fear to ask a question or a clarification about something. I would much rather answer multiple questions on here than to have someone be confused and lose interest in the story because of that.

Anyways, I hope everyone had a nice break as well and is ready for more after enjoying this next chapter!

Chapter 3: Change First, Explanations Later

Despite my surroundings, the chaotic day, and even my undergarments now, I went to sleep very much as I had for most of my life. There wasn’t much to do, and I was exhausted, so I quickly fell asleep. The next morning, however, was not the usual routine I had come to cherish back home.

My door flew open not long after my eyes began to flutter open. “Good morning, sleepyhead!” Harriet practically bounced in her tone as I quickly bolted awake. “Sleep well?”

Still feeling the effects from a solid night of sleep and wanting to keep my non-regressed persona under wraps still, I only nodded. I was pretty proud of myself for doing that and maintaining my cover around her, but my resolve was soon put to the test.

“Wonderful!” She then barreled over to me and tossed the sheets aside. Curiously she began to smell the air. “Hmmm… I don’t think you’re dirty, but let’s see about the front, shall we?” Then, without any warning, other than her previous little statement, her hand plunged toward the crotch of my diaper. I almost let out a yelp of shock, but I managed to keep calm, knowing that any reaction like that would have been a dead giveaway to my actual mental age. To her at this point, I was just a baby… not an adult who just had their nether region probed by a beautiful stranger.

“Oh wow! Look at who’s such a big boy, huh?” she then withdrew her cold hand from the side of my diaper with her investigations to its state. “All dry and everything! Who knows? Maybe you might just be ready for big boy underwear someday.”

‘Someday…’ From what Oppy had informed me about this place last night, someday likely meant ‘never’ as far as Harriet was actually concerned. Still, even despite my initial reasoning for going to the con and some of my inner fantasies, the prospect of wearing real underwear again was almost exciting at this point. Not that I wanted to burn the diaper I was wearing now in hatred, but as a still relatively mature adult, I wanted to wear them in my own time and way… not as an actual garment to be forced into wearing… and using.

My thoughts were soon interrupted though by a piercing scream that echoed through the walls of the house. Harriet’s head swiftly jerked back to the open door and the hallway beyond. “Oh dear. I guess Luna might be having a tricky time with Ditzy this morning.” She then fully extended from the position she had taken to check my diaper. “Oppy has given you the special privilege this morning of getting ready yourself… even showering by yourself.” She seemed to grimace temporarily, as if she was expecting a large calamity on my end with such privileges. “I’m not sure why, but maybe she’s just testing you to get you to fail or something… who knows what she’s thinking half the time these days?” With that, Harriet then left my room without another comment.

Now left there all alone, I hopped out of my bed and decided to take full advantage of the independence I could muster while I still could. Of course, I knew this was one of the ways that Oppy was allowing me my independence from our conversation last night. Considering Harriet’s attitude towards me and the unknown of Samantha potentially in my future however, I wasn’t sure if these privileges would occur again. ‘Geez… showering as a privilege…’

Regardless, I soon stripped out of my clothing and blasted myself as much as I could with the shower in the one connected to my room. I made sure I relieved myself first in the training potty there, though in truth, it was closer to a toilet than a potty with even the ability to flush, but I decided to not mention that to either Harriet or Luna in case they didn’t know. They needed to earn my trust still like Oppy had last night to know of my true mental state or even physical abilities.

Regardless, once done, I then got out of the shower and found a pair of clothing on my bed with a note and one of the underwear-like diapers next to it all. I then picked up the note and read it to myself. ‘Percy, While I would love to give you the option of choosing out your own clothing, please wear the following outfit. The investigators at the academy will be on high alert when they interview you today. These clothes will help you blend in better and should make your tasks easier today. Oppy.’

I set the note down and saw my clothing for the day. I was half expecting some onesie and a pacifier only, but Oppy had chosen a pair of shortalls and onesie instead that all had the theme of zoo animals. Childish, sure, but perfect if I wanted to fly under the radar in front of these ‘investigators’ while still maintaining at least a little dignity. So, I shimmied everything on, including the kiddy Velcro shoes and went downstairs after combing my hair neatly using the stepstool in my bathroom in order to see my reflection.

Downstairs, both Ditzy and Derek were already there and getting spoon-fed by Harriet and Luna respectively. Already nearby was the empty highchair that I had used last night, and as I peered at my future seat, Oppy soon saw me. “Good morning, sunshine! Let’s get you all settled.” Then, as soon as I was a little closer, Oppy lifted me cleanly off the ground and right into my awaited highchair.

After clicking me into the chair and sliding the tray into place, Oppy then retrieved a single bowl and plopped it in front of me. A bib and spoon soon followed. “There you go!” she said cheerfully. “Eat up!”

I then looked into the bowl, and to my relief, was just a large helping of oatmeal, yogurt, a few granola bits, and some blueberries and a cut-up banana. So, without any reservation, I dug in and finished it in minutes. I was hungry, but for some strange reason, yet again, the food here tasted even more amazing than almost anything did from back on Earth. ‘I could actually kind of get used to this…’

Though, right as I was thinking along those lines, Harriet took notice of my completion of my meal and soon came over with a baby wipe. Despite not spilling any on myself and my mouth being almost spotless, she cleaned me just as thoroughly as she had for my two messy Littles sitting right next to me. Right then, I wanted to pout at the unfairness of it all, but I had to remind myself that Oppy had still allowed me to eat without any interference, so I just made sure that I really only fumed internally. Better to be mad on the inside around here with my limited privileges than have an outburst and lose my privileges altogether.

Next, I was soon removed from my highchair, once again by Oppy, and we all prepared to leave the house. I knew we were returning to the academy for our interviews, but I wasn’t sure what was in store for us beyond that. While Oppy seemed to maintain her stoicism and Harriet was too preoccupied with Ditzy’s and Derek’s jackets to have any time for her own emotions, Luna’s feelings were about as plain as day.

Since yesterday, I had found that Oppy and Harriet were much better at controlling or at least concealing their emotions of whatever chaotic situation was occurring at the time. Luna on the other hand, just simply wasn’t. I wasn’t sure if it was because she was a Middle and that’s just who they were, or if it was something else that I just simply didn’t know about yet with their personally. Either way, I now knew that I could use them as a barometer for the truth of any matter or current situation. So, as such, right now they seemed to almost be hyperventilating and I wondered just what today was going to truly entail.

Oppy soon noticed Luna’s fearful and tense expression as well. “Easy, Luna,” Oppy cooed to the Middle. “It will be alright. It’s just an interview for you as well. Nothing more. You aren’t in any trouble… unlike my daughters. They just want to know what happened from those who aren’t going to make up lies to save themselves. You can be more unbiased than my daughters… just like these little cuties will likely be the most unbiased of everyone.”

I wasn’t sure if I was exactly going to be unbiased but looking over at the giggling and starry-eyed expressions of Ditzy and Derek, I also felt her logic made a certain amount of sense. If they could understand anything, I doubt they would have the filter that unregressed minds would likely have. Offer a candy or a toy, and if they could talk, I very much doubt they would hold anything back. Still though, with their regression, I wondered how much good an interview of them would really do anybody.

Regardless though, we had an appointment, so were all then bundled up and headed back out to Oppy’s car. We each took the positions that we had taken yesterday in the car, which I definitely didn’t mind. I also realized that I had been placed alone yesterday in the third row because I wasn’t regressed, and Oppy knew it even then. I could still have a problem back there, but there was a significantly less chance of that happening, so I was the perfect candidate to be placed back here. To be honest, I was a little proud of that fact and my perceived small amount of maturity, obvious to others or not.

Another drive back to the academy and Oppy dropped us off where we had been picked up yesterday. Right after I noticed the diaper bag slung over Harriet’s shoulder, Oppy rolled down the passenger side window and leaned over to the rest of us now outside. “Just relax and answer all their questions.” She then looked directly at me. “Just the truth. Whatever that means… that’s what you should say.”

The intensity of her look seemed to pierce right into my very soul. Of course, everyone else did their own little acknowledgement of what she was saying, but I knew she was speaking directly toward me. I knew my guess could have been wrong, but her lingering looks on my face until I nodded told me one thing as well: I shouldn’t lie to them about my regression. It was a horrifying prospect to reveal so openly and so early in all this, but I also remembered her realizing my lack of regression as well. If she could tell, someone named as the ‘investigator’ would likely be able to as well, and there was just no telling what they would do to me if they knew I was lying. Still though, I didn’t think it took a genius to know that it wouldn’t be good.

So, as it was, Harriet then led us back into the academy as Oppy drove off. I instantly missed her presence, but the whoosh of the air past my face from the large opening doors in front of me, quickly redirected my attention back to the impressive and massive lobby space beyond.

Clearly knowing where she was taking us, Harriet led first, followed by Ditzy, then Derek, then Luna, and lastly me, of course each of us holding each other’s hands. I felt like I was back in elementary school off to lunch, but I just shrugged and kept walking until we finally stopped at a single door and entered inside.

“Alright, here’s the deal,” Harriet began. “Just go with these nice people and they’re going to make sure of who you are.” Again, none of us responded, but it didn’t seem to matter in this case. In minutes, each of us was either guided or led by hand to a separate facilitator.

Mine was a small and meek woman, but she had a rare intelligence that I could see just behind her glasses. “Okay then… let’s see first… can you speak?” she asked with such a certainty to either end of the answer to her question. In retrospect, seeing both Ditzy and Derek, I guess the question wasn’t completely out of line.

Regardless though, I quickly thought back to what Oppy had seared onto me about telling the truth. I knew that all this was likely to go on my record here in this new world, so I knew that I might as well just start now and take it one step at a time. “Yes… I’m Percy…”

The small woman smiled warmly back at me. “Oh wonderful. I’m Annabell, but that answers my second question as well about what your name is.” She then looked at a small computer and I could see the bright screen reflect back in her glasses. She typed a few things in. “Okay… from Illinois… I guess?”

I wondered why that question, but I then shook my head. “No, actually, I’m from a place called Virginia.”

“Oh… no problem.” I saw her typing more things. “Alrighty then. One last thing… did you come with recruiter… uh, I mean Chelsea or Samantha, I guess you would know them better as?”

I pondered the question for a moment, because I had technically come through the portal with both, but then I realized I had only called one ‘mommy.’ I had only been holding one hand on my way through, and I really only felt comfortable with one of the sisters. “Samantha. Definitely Samantha.”

Annabell chuckled a little at my comment, but then just proceeded to type a few more things into her computer. A second later, I could see and hear the printer next to her come to life. In seconds, a new blue strip of something was ejected from it. “Wrist please.” I quickly complied and she attached the ID bracelet around my outstretched wrist. “Perfect. You’re all good to go now. Should make navigating around here a little safer, so be sure to wear any time you come back here from now on.”

I wondered what she meant by all that, but then I eyed the bracelet around my wrist, and I saw that it basically just contained my basic information along with a few other bits. The other bits then answered my question of why she said things were safer now. Combined with what Oppy told me, I knew information listed on the bracelet such as that I had been decontaminated, claimed, and was awaiting my guardian would all go a long way to ensure that no one else ‘claimed me.’ I hadn’t realized that was a possibility yesterday while I had been wandering around in the lobby, but I was also glad that I hadn’t known that yet. I was already terrified enough of the stares of the other Bigs that seemed to persist even today.

Regardless though, I then stood up. “Thank you, Annabell. It was good to meet you.”

She smiled nicely and nodded back at me. “You’re welcome, Percy, and it was good meeting you too.” She then gave me a little wave and I soon joined the others back outside of the room, where Ditzy and Derek now were and sporting their own wristbands. Curiously though, Ditzy’s had two green stripes while Derek only had one. Looking at my own, I saw that I didn’t have any.

We all then followed Harriet and Luna once more in our little formation and soon entered what looked like an entirely separate wing of the building. This side now seemed more serious and threatening somehow and I really didn’t want to be there at that moment. I even began to curse myself for not bringing Stripe along with me like Ditzy and Derek had done of their own respective stuffy’s. ‘Live and learn I suppose…’

Harriet then found a bench and sat us all down on it. “Okay. Just wait here while I go inform the clerk at the desk that you all have arrived. It shouldn’t be too long, but you should all get comfortable just in case.”

Now, being the unregressed Little that I was, meant that I could actually feel the passage of time a little more keenly than either Ditzy or Derek while they were being played with. Luna was spending her time distracting herself and them with a game of patty cake, and while I had no desire to play it myself, I envied their ability to be amused so easily. I knew it could be a problem in some circumstances, but right now, being nearly bored to death, I was practically green with envy of them. What I wouldn’t give right then for a book or even Stripe to be here with me.

Soon though, Harriet returned and sighed as she sat back down. I realized that now would likely be the best time to reveal my unregressed state to the rest of them, but to mine and everyone else’s surprise, Derek spoke up first.

“Aw you ow aunty?” he asked directly to Harriet.

I could see the shock on her face, and I couldn’t blame her. Derek was still clearly regressed in his abilities, but he seemed at least a little more coherent than he had been yesterday and definitely not at the level that Ditzy still was. It was a relief, but I also wondered how much he could remember about it all or even comprehend now. In my worst fears, his cognizant mind would be trapped forever in the body with the abilities of a toddler. Only time would now tell if that was the case or not.

Luna and Ditzy laughed. “No, sweetie. I’m not your aunt,” Harriet confirmed. “Just a friend and a student of your mommy. Don’t worry though… I’m going to be around for a while it seems.” There was something in the look of Harriet that made me feel she knew something that I didn’t, and I don’t mean just in the general sense of this world.

Being who I was in a ‘fish out of water’ scenario here, I knew my knowledge was limited even with my current surroundings. Afterall, it had only been yesterday since I had learned of what this building was or even the categories of people who lived or worked here. This extra knowledge behind Harriet’s eyes though made me feel that she knew something about Chelsea and Samantha that I didn’t, and from the look on Luna’s face, they didn’t know it either.

Unfortunately for both Luna and Harriet, it seemed that now that the proverbial top had been blown off regarding the question of Derek’s cognition, he seemed armed to the teeth with a whole bevy of questions for both of them. Mostly it was just about this area and who they were and or even where they were. All natural, but I particularly leaned in when he asked his final question. “Wha’ dih’ mommy do? Why she bad?”

The questions seemed to take both Luna and Harriet off guard for a moment, this one being more loaded and clearly more precarious, though not hard to do when asking everyone’s names, but Harriet only smiled confidently after a moment. Likely sensing that a little truth and revelation were in order, she placed a hand on Derek’s back and spoke calmly. “Sweetie… your mommy and Aunty Samantha broke the rules when they brought you all back. Your mommy regressed you without authorization and went over her quota, and both your mommy and Aunty Samantha claimed the Littles they were supposed to bring back to share in our society. They basically stole from our society and that’s a big no-no. That’s why they’re bad. Does that make sense?”

Now, I wasn’t really sure if Derek comprehended all that, but he still nodded, and likely not wanting to elaborate any further, Harriet didn’t push the subject further either. Regardless though if Derek understood or not, I did, and quickly, I realized just how serious all this was. The envelope, the questions, our interviews today, and even everyone’s nervousness at some point since yesterday were now all very clear. Suddenly, I wasn’t sure anymore if I would truly ever see Samantha again, and if I never saw her again, my chances of ever returning home would quickly be diminished as well.

As I pondered it all, I decided to reveal to Luna at least first that I could still think. Harriet needed more time and was distracted with Ditzy and Derek anyway at the moment. Now, at first, they were shocked, but soon, they came to accept it. “I knew there was something up with you when you came through. You didn’t have the same look on your face that you did going in. More like how you were for part of the con. Glad to know I’m not imagining things.”

“Right…” I then spotted yet another Big looking at me. Now with Luna as my confidant here in the current iteration of the group, I couldn’t stand the uncertainty of why all the Bigs were staring at me. If it was what I thought, I could use another ally, even a Middle, against them, but if it was something else, I needed to know that too. Knowledge was power after all and in this society, I knew I could use all the power I could get. “Any advice for a Little like me? You know…” I gestured up towards my head, “with something still going on up here?”

Luna scratched her head for a moment and sighed. “Well, there is…”

“No! I won’t do it!” Luna’s and I’s heads snapped toward the commotion from nearby. A Little clad in only a blue t-shirt and a diaper was holding a very defensive stance against two gray-suited Bigs. “I’m an adult! You can’t make me do that!” To everyone’s amusement though, the Little’s statement seemed very hard to believe, especially considering the currently heavily drooping diaper already swinging about between their legs.

“Easy, sweetie,” one of the figures tried to say. “We just want to help…”

“Bullshirt! Shirt! Shirt!” The Little’s hand clasped their mouth in horror. “Why can’t I say ‘shirt?’ Shirt! Why the fudge can’t I say ‘shirt?’ Or ‘fudge,’ for that matter?” The Little began to try to back away in terror. It was of course obvious what they were trying to say, but their words were clearly not coming through in the way they wanted them to. To be fair to them, I think anyone would have been freaked out or upset by that point.

“Come on, honey,” one of the individuals said, holding up a bunny and trying to push past the Little’s fear of their altered vocabulary, “look at your little friend here. Come on…” They tried to coax the Little and at first the Little seemed confused.

Finally, though, the Little looked at the bunny with anger. “What are you all trying to do? I’m not just some five-year-old that you bribe with a toy. Do you really think that a stupid little rab… oh!” In a second, one of the figures fired their weapon and the Little dropped to the floor without any more fighting. The Little thought that they thought they were interacting with a regressed Little who would have been distracted by a toy and wanted to play with it. In fact, they just wanted something so ridiculous to distract him with and shoot him up with tranquilizers afterward. So soon, they were dragged off around the corner and out of view.

“Yeah… don’t do anything like that would be my advice,” Luna remarked afterward. “That’s the best advice that I can give you.” I nodded and was just thankful that Harriet had taken Ditzy and Derek away for a change. Both sides could be reasoned with that a leaky diaper in the middle of an interrogation was far from ideal. More importantly though, I was just glad that it wasn’t me being dragged away and they hadn’t witnessed that whole scene. I didn’t even want to think of how scared they would be after all that.

Afterwards, even when the last of their scuff marks from the Little’s shoes being dragged away were no more, I could still feel the increased number of eyes on me. It was intense before, but now, I didn’t feel like there was a Big who went by who wasn’t looking directly at me. I hoped it would go away once the other Little had disappeared, but I had no such luck. Finally, I turned over to my new confidant here. “Luna, uh, why are all the Bigs staring at me?”

They seemed taken aback by the statement for a moment, but then almost looked like they were about to shuffle off my concern… until another Big passing by looked at me right in front of them. “Oh… I see.” Luna then seemed to rack their brain for what could be happening. They seemed hesitant at first but then sighed.

“Well,” she began, “you probably already know about Bigs, Middles, and Littles here, right?” I nodded. “Good. You see, some of them are lonely and want a Little. Lots of reasons why, but the bottom line is that they want you. Don’t question the whys and all, but just keep it in mind if you ever wander off. Your bracelet will help you, but they only go so far and will do even less outside the perimeter fence here.”

They then looked at me and curiously, I saw a smile begin to spread across their face. “What? Is there something else? Another reason why they’re staring?”

Luna continued to smile and nodded. “Maybe, and this is just a wild guess, but it could also be your beard.”

Almost on a protective instinct, my hand immediately shot up to my face and stroked the goatee that I had grown for myself back on Earth. It wasn’t much, but I hadn’t been clean shaven in at least four years by then. Still, the looks were making me uncomfortable. “So, I probably should shave it here then, right?”

To my surprise, Luna shook their head. “No. With the way everything is going, you should just keep it for now. Wait for the right time and all.”

I really wasn’t sure why they were telling me that, but their advice seemed to be the best I was going to get for now. “So… when is the right time do you think?”

Luna shrugged their shoulders. “Beats me, Percy. Lots of this is new to all of us. These things aren’t supposed to happen anymore. Littles are supposed to come, be processed, and sent to the proper authorities, but you all are just staying here now. It’s pretty rare, but Samantha and Chelsea should have been a lot more careful with the way things are going right now out there. They’ve both been warned before and now, they could wind up…”

“Ditzy!” a tall and charcoal-suited individual yelled out from a singular hallway in front of us. “Ditzy! From… Cali…fornia? The Chelsea and Samantha Norris case?”

Harriet stood up and raised her hand. “That’s us. Can I accompany them to…?”

“No,” the stern man immediately said, cutting Harriet off before she could even have a chance to speak. Almost immediately, I felt a chill linger about in the air and then could almost feel the room getting darker. I didn’t like any of this at all.

“Oh…” Harriet said dejectedly. She then looked down at Ditzy and got her to stand up. With her small hand clasped in Harriets, Ditzy eventually made her way over to the tall and brutish man there.

“Ditzy?” he asked, his voice bellowing and towering far above her.

Almost instantly, I could see her form begin to shake and it didn’t take long for her to burst into tears at the sight and sound of the man before her.

Sighing, and seemingly able to just brush it off, the man reached down and picked her up before laying her across his shoulder like some sack of flour before taking off. Soon, the terrified screams and crying of Ditzy could be heard echoing off the hallways. They only ended after the loud bang of a door replaced the echo and left us all in silence.

“Well… that’s not good…” Luna said, gulping a bit in fear beforehand.

I couldn’t agree more, and looking up at a small screen, I could just make out that Derek and Luna were next, but clearly marked, I would go last of the group. I couldn’t help but gulp myself right then. I was never good at interviews, but now, knowing what was at stake with Chelsea and Luna and the at least mentioned severity of it all, my nerves were practically shot. Regardless though, before long, the same stern and grizzled man would return and take me back, and there was not a single thing I could do about that. I just hoped that his bark was worse than his bite, but coming to know this society better, I very much doubted it.

  • LostBBoyBear changed the title to The CONtingency: A Diaper Dimension Story (Chapter 03 - Updated 01 February)

Despite what I enjoy writing, I would be SUPER scared of the Amazons.

That 'Interviewer' triggers my flight response for some reason. I fully admit that I would not do well in this building.

Granted that even under the best of circumstances, I'd wind up spanked and in a corner a lot until I figured things out. (unless they had a dog. I would behave more if they had a dog)

Of course Luna would get interrupted before she finished her sentence lol.

If I'm understanding what's going on from a legal standpoint, it's pretty much a slam dunk that Samantha and Chelsea is guilty of the crimes they've been charged with. It's not like they can prove someone else did it.

So if they're smart or they're legal team is, they'd be trying to either prove they had no reasonable choice or try and get the people handing out the sentence more sympathetic towards them in hopes for a lowered punishment.

I'd go the sympathetic route, it would be difficult to prove they had no choice but to break the rules again.

I don't know how their legal system works, but I'd try to make some kind of deal and not go to trial. However that might not be possible. The courts might decide to use these two as an example, a deterrent.

I'm sure Samantha has already realized they'd be better off to apologize, ask for forgiveness and hopefully say enough to get sympathy and a lessor punishment, since they're not getting out of this without being punished.

Chelsea on the other hand, I can see her resisting to the bitter end. Like a child throwing a tantrum. Like a child caught with their hand in the cookie jar and while their hand is in said jar denies that it's there.

I can easy see her showing up to visitation or court and have problems sitting down comfortably, probably already padded as well.

See, you're seeing this from the viewpoint of a big that is in danger (or want) of a good solid spankng.

I'm seeing this from the viewpoint of a little that would very much like to -not- be kidnapped by some baby crazed giant and spanked into submission.

I see your point of view, and it's very much appropriate for this scenario, scene, situation, whatever word is supposed to be used lol. I see it from a Big that, while has a difficult time viewing a Little as someone mature, I have zero problems viewing a Big that keeps breaking the rules as either someone wanting to be punished or someone that's too immature to be treated as a mature adult. And there's not much difference in punishing an immature Big and a Little other then I expect the Big to eventually mature and no longer need that sort of treatment.

And I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good. (It also has nothing to do with enjoying the downfall to a Big, especially one I believe deserves it, like Chelsea. While I believe Samantha broke the rules, she was not cruel about it and didn't seem to want to set some record for how many rules she could break in one mission)

I wonder whether it will count for or against Samantha that Percy is not regressed...

I have a feeling in the grand scheme of things no one will really care, if she's lucky it would just mean a lighter sentence/punishment, but apparently she has a history of breaking rules, and apparently she wasn't supposed to adopt anyone on this mission, yet she did so that will count against her along with whatever else she's done up to that mission and any other rules she broke during that mission.  Or since Chelsea and Samantha are a team they might just might count everything against them as a team and not as to the rules they broke individually.

Hey everyone! Getting back into my groove after my little adventure. I’m still hoping to stick to a minimum pace of posting a chapter every other day, but I might be able to push a little more in the coming weeks if everything goes well. I’m also starting to look ahead and there’s definitely some exciting stuff coming down the line at some point for this coming year once this story has been wrapped up and I get back from a certain event.

I also want to put out a small warning for this chapter. There’s nothing inherently graphically violent about it, but there are some mental methods of interrogation which some could potentially find upsetting. I could have gone much farther with some bits, but I thought this would be a good medium place to settle to convey the seriousness while also not giving anyone any sorts of problems. Still, I just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

Anyways, I hope everyone enjoys this next chapter!

Chapter 4: Explanations Are Never Easy

The minutes rolled by like one unending hellscape of waiting. I had some intense moments of waiting in my life, like the time I was getting that really suspicious mole checked out, or while I waited for my final exam scores to come back in to see if I would graduate or not, but this felt even worse. Deep down, I didn’t think it would be inherently dangerous, but somehow, the fear of this place and all soon took hold of me. I even got desperate and nervous enough to get Harriet to take me to the restroom at one point. She didn’t make a comment over a Little using the potty like that, but I also think she was beginning to suspect there was something more going on with me.

Finally, though, our group began to exit from their own interviews. Curiously, Luna had been the last in but was now the first one out and they did not look well at all. Their face was all pale and they had been clearly sweating and even more likely crying.

I looked over to my clearly frazzled confidant. “You okay, Luna?” I asked them quietly as they shakily meandered over to me and plopped down on the bench beside me. I knew Harriet would have asked first, but she wanted to know what was happening overall first, like where were Ditzy and Derek, and when I would go back. It turns out, that moment was right now.

“Percy Miter? From Vir…geenia?” I raised my hand and stood up. My legs, however, had other plans and wobbled dangerously as I did so. Despite their pallor and horror-stricken eyes, Luna still braced me from behind when they saw my struggle. I turned around and we smiled at each other for a moment in thanks, but I could also see that something had been done to them… something deep. Needless to say, seeing that look of fear didn’t help my own nerves right then.

I tried to walk over to the gray-haired investigator in his own charcoal suit, but my legs just didn’t seem to want to listen to me. No matter how hard I willed them into existence to get me over to the man who had just called out my name, they just wouldn’t budge. I think it was all too much at that moment.

The man, seeing my predicament, rolled his eyes and stomped over to me. He tucked his tablet under one arm and extended his hand out toward mine. “Hand,” he said gruffly and bluntly.

My heart was beating about as hard as it could and I think I even gulped as I gazed at the enormous appendage now offered to me but seeing both Harriet and Luna behind me and encouraging me, I took it as instructed. Then, as soon as his fingers clenched around mine, we were off.

At one point, I almost felt as if I was being dragged behind the man and down the corridor, but my feet always managed to keep me aloft somehow. It was difficult, but I still managed to keep upright until the very end. The man then opened a single and thick metal door. “In,” he commanded. I didn’t need a second of help this time and quickly scurried inside.

There, in the middle of the room, was a single industrial metal table with a normal-looking and matching chair behind it. Both faced another chair that resembled more of a highchair than anything else at the other end of the room. Despite the interrogation setting and the likely set up for any movie to begin the torture segment of the horrible day, I could only wonder if Luna had sat in the highchair as well. In times of distress, I reached for the humorous bits as much as I could.

“Sit,” the man commanded once more, breaking my thoughts, as he pointed to the massive highchair-like apparatus in front of me.

I nodded and walked over and crawled up into it as he had instructed. Despite my more maneuverable diaper, it rode up a bit and now bunched uncomfortably in between my legs. It wasn’t impossible to mount the highchair, but I definitely did a little grunting to accomplish the task the stern man had laid out before me.

Once up and seated, the man then flopped the tablet he had in his arms onto the table with a loud clang. It echoed off the small and now sealed room. He sighed and then took a seat. “Alright,” he said as he then began to look over the tablet before him, “let’s see what we got here today…” His piercing and stern eyes grazed over the slightly illuminated screen before him and I could feel my pulse pound away in my chest, neck, and temple as this man decided my fate. Based on the fleeing Little from before and how Luna had left this place herself, I wasn’t confident about my fate here.

He then set the tablet down and pushed a red button from it. “Marcus! Interview questions 43C if you will.”

There was a pause on the other side. “43C, as in 43C, sir? Isn’t he a little… too… uh, Little? I mean you know we’re not supposed to… and this is her…”

“I said 43C, Marcus!” the man barked. “Don’t make me report you. You don’t want me as your enemy around here now… do you?”

I felt the question was more rhetorical with how it was phrased to Marcus, but still, after a moment, he spoke up again. “No… Interview questions 43C are coming your way, sir.”

“Good boy…” the man demeaned Marcus. The line open to Marcus quickly disconnected in a way that made me think that whoever this guy was, he was likely more of a bully than one who wanted to follow protocol. It didn’t help my nerves at all.

The tablet in front of the man beeped again and he grinned and opened the file that had just been sent to him. He then looked up at me and grinned. “Alright… sorry about Marcus. Can be a little… unqualified for his job sometimes… Swear he’s a Middle with the way he acts, but anyways,” he then cleared his throat. “I’m Mr. Jameson, and I’ll be conducting your interview today. Just answer the questions and all will be fine. Answer truthfully and all will be good. Give the right answers, and we won’t have any issues.”

I gulped a bit but still nodded as well as I could. By now, I just wanted to get this all over and done with.

Mr. Jameson smiled and hit the first button. “Now, just answer as fast you can.” I nodded. “Good. Name?”

“Percy Miter.”

He nodded. “Where are you from?”

“Virginia,” I said, making sure to pronounce it properly in front of him.

 “Did you leave Earth willingly?”

The question from Mr. Jameson was fast and barely gave me time to think. “Maybe…” I then thought of Samantha and the real purpose of this interview. “Uh… yes.”

“Only one answer, Percy.” He paused and looked deeply into my eyes and asked his question a little more forcefully this time. “Again, did you leave willingly?”

There was only one answer I could give. “Yes.” The circumstances under which I left would be murky in a court of law, but from everything I had heard so far, that answer would be the best and most truthfully for everyone involved.

“What’s your favorite thing to do on a cold winter night?”

I had a lot, but I responded with the one that first came to mind. “Read a book.”

“What’s your favorite color.”

“Blue.”

“Were you drugged during your encounter by Chelsea or Samantha?”

Again, the answer was nearly shot out at me, but I knew there was no wiggle room around this question. ‘Sorry, Samantha…’ “Yes.”

Mr. Jameson remained emotionless, and I couldn’t tell if I had given the better answer or not… something told me that there was no good answer. “Have you ever considered yourself a Little, ABDL, or any combination of those terms?”

I could feel my cheeks flush, but I nodded my head. “Yes…”

Finally, but embarrassingly for me, I saw a small smile play across his lips. “Hmmm… what’s your favorite food?”

The questions continued like this for quite some time after that and I could feel myself begin to wane with my energy levels. Not that the questions were difficult, but there were just so many of them that the whole process was starting to overwhelm my senses. It made me a little nervous as to what was coming next, but having to answer another question, my mind quickly slipped off the subject and onto the one at hand. “Yes, I do like oatmeal.”

“Perfect.” Mr. Jameson then eyed his tablet once more, but now, his smile began to take on a sinister-like quality. “Ah yes… last one… is Chelsea or Samantha trying to subvert the norms and regulations of the state in order to compensate for their own needs and desires?”

Compared to all the other questions, this one felt more intense and as if there were more strings attached to it. I wondered how on earth Ditzy or Derek could withstand the scrutiny of questions like these, but I also realized that we weren’t on Earth anymore. Anything was a possibility, but then I reasoned that this was also likely part of the unique interview questions known as 43C. If this was the worst, I still felt pretty safe here at this point and my nerves temporarily relaxed. ‘Maybe their standards were different here with interrogations and all?’

“No,” I answered slowly. I knew it was the right answer internally, so everything should have been fine. To my confusion though, Mr. Jameson’s face quickly became contorted and maligned after I announced my answer to his previous question.

He then let out a heavy sigh. “Shame… and you were doing so well.” He then got up and pressed a single button. I instantly heard a hiss from somewhere nearby.  “Answer again, Percy. This time with the truth.”

I racked my brain for a different answer, but a ‘yes’ would mean they were guilty and that I’d likely never see them again, so, once again, I shook my head. “No. They never did any of that.”

This time, as soon as the words escaped my lips, Mr. Jameson’s once sizzling yet straightforward demeanor soon turned into a knot of twisted rage and anger. His large form, already towering over me by at least six feet, pounced over to me. His hands were drawn into my chest, and he began to shake me by the straps of my shortalls. Already, I could see that just one of his clenched fists was almost the size of my entire chest. “Are you sure?” I nodded my head; about all I could do right then as I was nearly petrified from his massive, clenched fists now holding me off the seat a little bit.

“No! You’re a liar!” He then tossed me back from his vice-like iron grip of my clothing. “All you pathetic Littles are all liars! I should’ve known better…” He stopped his brief pacing and stared me down. “Let’s see how you deal with something a little more… intense.”

I did not like how he said all that, but in seconds, I could feel a set of restraints come out and then truly pin me down in the chair. I wasn’t going anywhere now, and that would have been worrying enough, but only seconds after that, he was out the door with his tablet. Before completely exiting, he gave me a little evil smile which chilled me to my inner soul. “Maybe you need some time to think. Let’s see how you do with this.” The door then slammed and to my terror, the lights flicked off. Darkness followed.

Now, I had always hated the dark before all this. There was just too much unknown in that inky void for me ever to truly be comfortable with it. Since I had come through the portal though or woken up a bit mentally, I still wasn’t sure which, but I had grown ever more apprehensive about the dark, so being left in that pitch-black room was doing little to ease my already frayed nerves.

I tried to maintain my grip on something… anything, but my limbs were near useless under my new heavy-duty restraints. I wanted to fight back, but I just couldn’t seem to budge more than a few inches in any direction. Sensing my helplessness, as if it was alive, the darkness then seemed to crawl all over me like so many thousands of ants. Coldness swept over me and even with more time, my vision remained unable to see anything. That’s why I guess when my fear was tickling me up the arm at first, my mind spun with the possibilities.

I tried to rub my arms at first with the limited mobility I had. It was good for about two minutes, but the crawling and crackling sensation came back under my skin, this time, even more intense. Next, I tried to shake my limbs out, but the feeling remained until they began to almost snap at me as if there was a bully inside the room. It was the last straw.

“Ah!” I screamed, trying to get the feelings off me that I was somehow being eaten alive. “Get them off! Get them off!” I pitched and moaned as much as I could, but the room remained just as empty and dark as it had been before. When it began creeping up my back and legs, I couldn’t take it anymore.

I screamed bloody murder, and I could feel tears swim to my eyes. “Please! I’ll be good! I’ll tell you anything!” The crawling then seemed to enter my ear and I could myself cracking under the pressure. I wasn’t sure if it was minutes or hours, but I just knew I needed to leave. “I confess! Whatever you want! The truth! The lies… whatever! You tell me and I’ll say it or sign it. Just get me out of here! Please! I beg of you!”

At first, it seemed my begging and pleading seemed to fall on deaf ears, but to my relief, the door soon slowly opened, and a ray of light flooded back into the room. Half-expecting thousands of bite marks all over my arms, when the light hit them, to my surprise, they looked as if nothing had ever happened. “But… I…”

Mr. Jameson smiled and hit his tablet to turn on the lights more fully, though still slightly dim compared to before. “Nothing permanent, Mr. Miter. Just a little something extra we picked up on one of our travels abroad. More of a nerve agent than anything really. All in the mind, but effective, no?”

My hands shook still from the intense amount of fear that I had just experienced. It was a sensation that I never wanted to return to, so I quickly nodded my head.

In a way that made him almost seem like the villain in every Saturday morning cartoon, Mr. Jameson had the nerve to laugh at my obvious discomfort. I suppose it was just par for the course for his personality, but I was starting to understand the state that I had last seen Luna in. Maybe she had a different set of questions or methods than I did, but I was at least no longer confused over how one could look so broken afterward.

Mr. Jameson then cleared his throat after laughing for a second longer. “Right… I guess now we shall see if all that little bit of fear actually worked. So,” he then peered up from the tablet, “is Chelsea or Samantha trying to subvert the norms and regulations of the state in order to compensate for their own needs and desires?”

It was the exact same question, and I had the exact same answer, but part of me just prayed that now that I had undergone my little interrogation method that maybe now Mr. Jameson would believe me. “No…” I said wearily, half terrified out of my mind over what he would do to me next if he didn’t believe me.

To my dismay, he heavily sighed. “I guess you earthers may be a little tougher than I thought… shame.” He then began to back out of the room once more and the lights slowly started to dim around me.

I could instantly feel the fear and the painful tingles crawl their way back up my skin and into my ears. Little whispers tickled my brain all over. I panicked once more and tried to wiggle out of the highchair I was still strapped in. It was no use, and I began to shake once more under the frightful strain of it all. “God. Please, no. Please! Mercy! I’ll try again! Just tell me what you want to hear! I’ll say it! Just the truth, I swear!” I began to yell at the still-open door.

I wasn’t sure what I thought I was going to accomplish, after all, there wasn’t anyone out there from what I could see, but I still needed to take the risk. I felt that my mind might have been stronger or at least luckier than others they had plucked from Earth to come here before, but I wasn’t sure I could take the absolute dark again. “Please! I beg you,” I whimpered in desperation. “I will say what you want me to say. I just want to tell the truth… to be a good boy. Please… just not the dark. Not again.”

They had beaten me, and we all knew it. Soon and right on cue, a shit-eating smiling Mr. Jameson strolled back in. “You wish to tell the truth?” I rapidly nodded. “Then tell me. Confess to me, Mr. Miter.”

“I…” I had to swallow a few times just to get some spit back in my mouth from it being so dry now. My voice cracked a few times, but in that time, I realized there was a third option open to me. ‘Yes,’ would condemn both Samantha and Chelsea as traitors and I would likely lose them forever, and clearly, ‘no’ was not the answer Mr. Jameson was looking for, so I went with the only other one it could be. It was a risk I knew, but I was starting to get to the point where I didn’t have anything else to lose. “I don’t know…”

I drooped my head to the floor and waited for the lights to flicker off once more or for Mr. Jameson to rage against me and pin me to the wall instead. To my surprise though, neither happened. Instead, I just saw his feet move slowly closer to me. Hesitantly, I looked up in terror to this man for what could happen next.

“You don’t know, huh?” he asked plainly this time. “And why don’t you know? Tell me, Percy. Tell me like a good boy.”

My brain began to click more, and I remembered back to what I had seen here so far and what Oppy had told me about with this society. I was a Little. That was the confession this sick freak was looking for. I just knew it and I wanted to throw up a little inside, but an answer was an answer. If it got me out of here, as I said, I would have said almost anything. I then took a breath and answered. “Because I’m a Little… I don’t know any better. I mean… how should I know about those types of things? I was in my world and now I’m here. I’m too little to know what those words would even mean. I just know my friends and the Samantha is really nice and makes me happy.” The words began to just pour out of my mouth. As much as they might have sickened me to be so openly confessed, I knew that I wanted Stripe. I wanted Oppy. I wanted Samantha…

Then to my utter surprise yet again, Mr. Jameson came over to me and patted me on the back. I had started heaving and breathing heavily between each of my confessions not long after I had started. I must have been a pitiful sight, but to my frustration, it seemed to be exactly what this terrible person wanted from me. Now, I had given it to him. So, without so much as another word, he pushed a button on the tablet, and the lights went fully back on.

“Very good, Percy,” he said grinning above me now. “You are indeed a Little in this society now and this interview is over. Congratulations. You passed.”

I wasn’t sure what that meant, but I didn’t need more prompting to flee from this wretched place, so I quickly bolted for the door and to the exit back outside to the small lobby of this wing of the building. There, waiting for me now, the rest of the group had gathered, and all looked at me warily. Harriet looked at me with the most concern and quickly scooped me up in her arms.

“Oh dear! What did they do to you? Are you okay, Percy?” she asked tenderly as she wiped my red and swollen eyes.

I wasn’t really sure how to respond and I also knew that she wasn’t completely aware of my lack of regression anymore, so I just flung myself as deeply into her as I could go. She made a little ‘oof’ noise but just rocked me back and forth. To be honest, I didn’t really care anymore, and her comfort just felt nice with all things considered.

It was the most peace I had felt all day, but after a moment, I felt her probe my diaper and then speak up. “Luna, can you hand me the bag? I think this one’s interrogation may have been a little too much on his body…”

I wasn’t sure what she meant, but as Harriet shifted me around and escorted me to a nearby restroom, I realized that I had used my diaper at some point since I had entered the interrogation room. It was humiliating to be discovered and then changed like that, but I also rationalized to myself that if there was ever a time to have an accident, that interrogation would have been one of those times.

Fortunately, Harriet was highly efficient and had quickly rediapered me in the same flexible types that Oppy had previously provided for me. I wasn’t expecting what was next, but I guess she was smarter than I gave her credit for. Sitting me on the changing table while she washed her hands, she looked over to me with the one of the most easy-going and yet serious faces I had ever seen before. “You know… I know you’re not regressed, Percy…”

I stammered a bit in mostly unintelligible syllables, but I finally nodded. “When’d you guess?”

Harriet smiled back over at me. “You know… to be honest, I really didn’t. Or at least I didn’t until I started seeing signs from Oppy. She’s experienced in these things and when she makes a move, you don’t question it, but you also know there’s a reason and a pattern. You not being regressed, or at least as much, just made sense after seeing it all together. Plus,” she then pointed to my wrist after she dried her hands off, “you don’t have a stripe. Means you’re in the top tier for your regression. Little to none right now.”

I was just happy that it was all out in the open now and I still held onto her hand as we exited the restroom, but her final comment stuck with me for a bit until even after we gathered up our coats once more. ‘Right now…’ It felt like the mother of all qualifiers and there was a growing part of me that wondered if I ever did go home, would I even be cognizant enough to fit in anymore there…

Regardless though, we all bundled back into Oppy’s car, which was waiting for us outside. She asked us a few questions, but Luna and I only gave straight and somber answers. To my partial surprise, both Ditzy and Derek only hinted at times of joy and happiness in their own ways, but I was beginning to understand more in this world that being regressed might have actually been a good thing. I worried about what they may have confessed in their own innocent and naïve ways, but I knew that dwelling on those matters now wouldn’t do me any good. So, I just sat back and waited to get home so this day could finally be over with.

Oppy then let us watch TV for a bit before getting each of us to do something more ‘intellectually stimulating’ as she put it. I just buried myself in a puzzle with Luna, so I was more than a little intrigued when I heard Oppy’s voice rise from nearby and I looked up from the picture in front of me to see what was going on.

“Okay. That does it!” she barked as she stormed into the room. She then looked at both Luna and I intently. “I want to know the interrogation numbers from everyone, but particularly you two. Something is going on. I can practically smell it, but I need to know! I wanted to give you your privacy, but that’s just not the type of granny I am, okay?”

Luna and I nodded solemnly and each of us noted our numbers. Ditzy and Derek were 2A and 13B respectively, but then Luna noted they were 38C. Harriet and Oppy gasped and comforted her instantly.

“It’s okay… really,” Luna tried convincing everyone. “I just got knocked around a bit by that gas. Nothing that a good night’s sleep couldn’t fix. Still below 40, right?”

I instantly panicked at the notion of it getting dark again to go to bed and I think Oppy noticed. “Percy? Honey? You okay? What interrogation number did you get?”

“I…” I was taking some wild guesses here, but I assumed the letters were your regression tier. Luna and I were both C, while Derek was B, and Ditzy was A. It made logical sense, but then I thought about our numbers. At 43, I had the highest, but I was a Little. ‘They wouldn’t give the most intense interrogation of the group to a Little, right?’ I wasn’t sure, but I just took a breath. “43C…”

I wasn’t sure what I was expecting, but the sympathy of Luna and Harriet was immediately apparent. To my enjoyment, I was then quickly swaddled, hugged, and covered with dozens of kisses. That’s when the room stopped though and we all realized that Oppy hadn’t budged an inch.

Well, she had, but only in her now tense posture, clenched fists, and enraged face. It was unnerving to see basically what amounted to the sweetest granny ever turning into essentially a rage demon from the pits of hell. Curious and the most daring of everyone, Harriet poked first. “Oppy? You okay?” It was enough to finally break her shell.

“Okay? Okay? How can I be okay?” she spat. “Of course I’m not okay. Those rat bastards gave Percy interrogation 43C! 45C is the worst and 46C was banned for being inhumane and caused most subjects to have a mental breakdown! And they gave Percy 43C! I’ll… I’ll…” To be honest, Oppy almost seemed like she was a robot who was now short-circuiting, but I could tell that she was just massively upset. She went on like that for another solid few minutes.

“Oppy!” Luna eventually yelled at her. Oppy finally stopped and looked at the Middle. “I know you’re upset. We all are, but you’re scaring everyone… including me.”

Oppy immediately looked embarrassed and saw the frightened forms of who were essentially her grandchildren on the floor before her. Only a second later, she was on the floor and cooing with each of them like she had never been enraged in the first place. Much to my amusement, both soon looked like they had never gotten scared because of Oppy before. I, however, remembered it all perfectly.

After that and a quiet dinner, we each then retreated away for the night. While Ditzy and Derek were being bathed, I had taken the time to shower myself. It was pleasant and now I was sitting back and reading a book that Oppy had recommended to me. She noted it was a good ‘distraction’ from days like today, so I eagerly took it and buried myself in it as much as I could.

Right as I hit chapter 2, I heard a knock on my door. “Come in,” I said back.

The door slowly opened, and Oppy popped her head in. “Hey there, Percy. Mind if I sit with you for a second?”

I nodded and scooched back while I gestured to the side of my bed. “Please. Sit.” She nodded. “But, uh, thank you for the book. Good distraction and all.”

Oppy smiled. “You’re very welcome. I do hope you like it.” She then took her place where I had gestured before turning back to me on the bed. “Percy… we need to talk…”

I didn’t like her tone of voice. Whenever I heard that same tone with others, it always made me think that bad news was about to drop, but I gestured back. “Go on…”

“I want you to let me talk for a moment,” she began. “There’s a lot you need to know while we go forward with everything, and there’s a few things that will be important for the future. Frist off, you should know that taking interview 43C and coming away with only a wet diaper is something to be proud of.” I blushed a bit that she knew about my accident afterward. “Just take it easy for now and you may notice a few… quirks in the future, but we’ll get through them together.”

I desperately wanted to know what types of ‘quirks’ she was referring to, but I just smiled and nodded for her to continue.

“Yes… all that is wonderful, but I know you showed incredible strength and intelligence today. As such, I think you are entitled to know what is about to happen.” I nodded in agreement. “Right… well first, you should know that I am a retired recruiter of the academy myself. One of the first actually, so I know a lot of the ins and outs of that place, but it also means I know the seriousness of what my daughters now face.”

It was all clicking into place now, but she also seemed so nice. It was hard to ever put her under the same employment umbrella as Mr. Jameson from today, but I also had to remind myself that both Harriet and Samantha worked there as well. I only hoped that they wouldn’t prove the exception moving forward here. If her face was anything to go by, tough times were ahead.

“Yes, all good… but this has also entitled me to know that there will in fact be a trial for them based on what they learned over the past days. I have to thank you for that. They could have just been punished and that would be that, but I’m guessing whatever you said today, really helped… even if you may not have known it at the time.”

She then heavily sighed and I knew the other proverbial shoe was about to drop. “So, you have done a great service for my family, and I have no business to ask this of you, but during the trial, I have a favor to ask of you.” I slowly nodded for her to continue. “Well, if you are asked, and that’s a big if, for the sake of my daughter, I don’t want you to lie, but I want you to admit to wanting all this.”

Her words stuck in mind like a bug splattering against the windshield. I wasn’t sure what all that would entail, but it felt like a trap to get me to stay here forever. If I admitted I wanted to stay in a place, I doubted that I would ever be offered a way to go home ever again through any legal means. Those chances were long enough, but this made them now feel impossible if I agreed to her hypothetical scenario.

“I know…” Oppy moaned. “I know what I’m asking you to do. Normally… I would never ask, but I know my daughters well, and because I was a former recruiter myself, I know where they go each time. So… I know where they found you, Percy. Must have been some con.”

I immediately gulped over her knowing the truth. Being a plucked Little from this academy, I knew from my knowledge of this system that everyone knew I was considered a prime candidate to be a Little in their society, but for Oppy to know that I had come from a con… that con… I quickly blushed. Oppy noticed.

She smiled kindly at me and rubbed my back gently for a moment. “It’s okay, dear. I understand the desire to be free like that. There’s no judgement from my end whatsoever, but… I also know what I’m asking is at least the partial truth…” I knew she was right, but I also knew that confessing it out loud and in public was another thing entirely.

“I know Littles are capable of so much. Heck, I was around before the last Great Height War, so I know that very well indeed. You aren’t just a person to become a Little to my daughter here, but I also know that if you can give this place a chance, everyone can come away happy. If they ask and you say ‘no’ though… it could be a very different outcome,” she said with a heavy amount of sadness and stress baked into each of her words.

“I see that,” I said finally, after Oppy seemed to be too wrapped up in her own emotions from the day. “It’s just a lot… and I barely know your daughters.” Of course, I liked them for sure… or at least one of them, but this was my future hanging in the balance here. It wasn’t just some fantasy, so it felt like a lot to be placed on my shoulders right now.

Oppy glumly nodded. “I understand that, but you must know that Sam is a good person. She just has the misfortune of being a sister to someone who doesn’t always follow or even care about the rules. She shouldn’t be punished for something like that and for not turning her in. Please… for Sam.”

I could see the pain and the sincerity of a mother’s words and from what I knew of the two sisters, Oppy hadn’t lied to me once. It was still a lot to ask, but I knew I had to promise her something tonight to ease her mind if only a little. Samantha was a good person, and she didn’t deserve to be punished for her associations, so that alone made me want to help the family out in some way at least. “I will think about it, Oppy. You’ve been very kind to me, and I want to help, but… just let me think…”

Oppy nodded and I could see just the faintest hint of a smile from the corners of her mouth as she stood up. “That’s all I ask, Percy.” She then walked over to the door. “Goodnight, sweetie…” She then almost left but snuck her head from behind the door one last time. “And just one last thing… I don’t know about your life back home, but you fit in well here. So, while I would love for you to stay as part of our family, and that is an offer… if you help us out in this way… I can help you get back home… goodnight…”

Shen then left the offer in the air and gently left. To my delight, as soon as she left, a small nightlight low to the ground popped on. Curiously, it instantly made me feel safer and I smiled as I tried to read my book once more.

For the next 30 minutes, I tried to read up until chapter 3, but I just couldn’t get Oppy’s deal out of my head. It was small and simple… barely anything for me to do in the grand scheme of things, or even right now for that matter, but her deal would be a confession of something that would only partially be the truth. It was a difficult line to play with and it had so many unknown consequences, but she could also get me home. Home of family… friends… normality… safety.

I also knew that it wasn’t an empty promise either. She had the background and likely the connections in the academy in order to get me back home. Of course, she had also offered for me to stay here, but that felt crazy… ‘Right?’ I wasn’t sure, but over the course of only two days, I now had more options than I had started with as I had come crashing into this dimension. I wasn’t sure of what was next for the trial of the two sisters, but for now, I was in a better spot than I was, and that wasn’t anything small. Soon, my thoughts drifted away, and for now, I fell into a deep and calming sleep with Stripe tucked snugly right by my side.

  • LostBBoyBear changed the title to The CONtingency: A Diaper Dimension Story (Chapter 04 - 03 February)

If I was Percy I would've asked Oppy what their punishment would've been before whatever he said to begin the trail, and what's the possible punishments if they're found guilty and if there was a way to make a plea deal. Though I doubt a plea deal is even possible. Since normally there wouldn't have been a trail, chances are they don't do plea deals. Either because of the nature of what's going on or they simply don't exist in this country or dimension as a whole.

I am surprised by the trail, more so that they had arrested them and wasn't planning to have one to begin with. But im guessing when the evidence is clear, like getting caught in the act, then a trail could be disregarded. While logically that sounds like a good idea, but the problem is they'd have a blanket punishment, either for each crime or one that they give no matter the crime. And it wouldn't take into account circumstances like blackmail, or physical harm or threat of death or anything that could be seen as either an excuse to let them go or lighten the sentence.

There's definitely pros and cons to having a trail that I can currently see. Pro, if there punishment to begin with was going to be bad, it could be a way to either get out of being punished or a lighter punishment. Con, which I think is a big con, if found guilty, due to information that could come out in trail that the authorities wasn't aware of could get them an even harsher punishment then they'd gave gotten otherwise.

However I don't think this trail will truly be about there guilt or innocence of the alleged crimes, it's evident they are guilty, but I think it'll be mostly about the severity of there punishment. While before they'd both be punished equally, with a trail it's possible that one could get a harsher punishment then the other depending on the rules broken, there severity of each rule broken, the number of rules broken and most immediately, do they feel bad about it, do they see that what they did was wrong or not. I can see all these points be good for Samantha, not great, but better, while Chelsea it could spell her doom. Chelsea broke way more rules, most I believe is seen as pretty big rules, and I don't think she sees that what she did was wrong at all. Probably doesn't even understand why she was arrested and probably believed the rules was just there for public image or whatever abd that they wasn't really meant to follow them.

Hey everyone! I really didn’t mean to be rude to any of you, but I’ve received a few comments about this story, and I really just wanted to take the time now to thank you all. As I’ve said before, I don’t write for the likes or comments, but they are certainly a bonus when going through this process. I could write about anything really, but your all’s comments really tell me what you enjoy more from what I write. In the future, this could mean bolder storylines where I take a few more risks, and I think many of you will enjoy them a lot when they occur.

For now, though, I hope everyone enjoys this next chapter!

Chapter 5: Judgement of Love, Compassion, and Caring

Plans never go how you initially think they will. I had learned that in third grade when my group of five suddenly were all absent on the day we were supposed to present our history project to the class. I ended up surviving that, but being here made me feel the stakes were much greater than a simple grade regarding Ancient Greece.

Originally, I was supposed to break out within days of initially coming here and hitch a ride back home somehow, but those plans were made before I began to learn anything about the people here or the environment itself. As such, days, turned into a week, which turned into almost a month now staying with Oppy, Harriet, and Luna. They had become a well-oiled machine taking care of us Littles, while even making sure to separate me out from Ditzy and Derek due to my mental clarity over them.

At first, I reveled in my clear superiority to my friends and my seemingly rare independence in this dimension as a Little. As much as it pained me, I quickly began to see the truth in Oppy’s words about their society regarding us Littles. Being a Little, meant that most assumed that rattles and using my diapers were to be the highlights of my life. Our little family knew differently, but the constant put-downs, jeering, side jokes, and straight-up even discriminatory practices, had limited my time amongst the Bigs and Middles of this society outside of the academy compound. It was honestly starting to become a little lonely.

We would still go to the mall or an occasional restaurant for a celebration, but these instances had become increasingly rarer as the weeks went on and we all waited for the trial. As Oppy was retired and Luna was essentially in limbo now due to her association with Chelsea and Samantha, both took it upon themselves to entertain us Littles during the day while Harriet was away studying at the academy and trying to learn more about the trial itself. All three tried their best, but I still felt very much apart from everyone else.

Finally, though, last Saturday, Harriet bounded in after another long day of being in class. “Everyone! The trial is next week!”

“Are you sure?” Oppy asked skeptically, all of us having heard the same announcement at least twice before and even in the same manner.

“Yes, Oppy! That’s why I’m so excited now. It’s all going to be over, but I found out two of the judges. That’s why I’m confident,” she explained. “One trial, coming right up!”

I wasn’t sure what to make of it all, but Oppy and Luna now both seemed certain that the trial would proceed. So, sure enough, they were all right and we got the official call last night about Chelsea’s and Samantha’s trial happening today, just as Harriet had announced.

Now, I knew trials were a big deal, but I started to become nervous once more when I woke up and everyone was in a mad dash to get ready for the trial that was happening in only a few hours. Blending in, I followed their lead and rushed through my own morning routine. As had become a tradition now, I was left alone to shower and ensure my own good hygiene, but as I exited the shower, I saw something that was still somewhat of a rarity. Oppy had picked out my clothing for the day.

Now, I didn’t mind this particular lack of independence when it had occurred, and in truth, I kind of enjoyed it.  Oppy had a pretty decent fashion sense and she never seemed hell-bent on trying to embarrass me like what seemed to happen to Ditzy or Derek. Outfits that showed off diapers, their lack of independence, or their juvenile interests were common now almost everyday practices. My simple outfit however, of overalls and a green polo onesie underneath was just enough to show my Little nature to the court today, but it wasn’t enough to the point where one would automatically assume that I was regressed.

Regardless, I quickly pulled up my still-present diaper and practically leaped into my clothing. To be frank, as I put on my shoes, I grimaced at the semi-thick garment now about my waist. I had originally hoped to shed the thing off by now, but interview questions 43C had apparently done a number on my psyche. I wasn’t damaged goods or anything, but moments of darkness or any crawling noise would quickly cower me into submission and occasionally result in an accident.

It was terribly embarrassing at first to admit to any of them, but Oppy, Luna, and Harriet had all been there to comfort me and help me through it. Due to a few occasional subsequent accidents though, I remained in diapers, and they had now suggested for me to bring Stripe with me everywhere I went. He honestly made for pretty good camouflage and as juvenile as seeking comfort in a stuffy may have been, he definitely worked wonders when I needed him to. Still though, I had felt a little better a few weeks ago when Oppy and Harriet came back one day from the academy and announced that they had made sure that Mr. Jameson would be ‘walking a little funny’ for the next few days… whatever that meant. I didn’t ask those types of questions.

Moving on with my morning, I then sauntered downstairs and after a quick bite to eat of my dinosaur oatmeal, I ensured I had all that I needed for the day and helped Ditzy and Derek to the car outside. To be blunt, by now, I felt like their older sibling, but neither seemed to truly mind the dynamic and only thanked me as well as they could at this point each time now that I helped them out.

After ensuring we were all ready to go, a short drive later and Oppy made sure to park in the visitors parking lot. She grumbled a bit about being a legacy here and deserving a close spot, but just moved on and made sure that I took her hand as we entered the building. Harriet and Luna were holding onto Ditzy and Derek respectively with their own stuffy’s as each of the Bigs, or singular Middle, carried our diaper bags over their shoulders. It was embarrassing to be seen with such a childish item like that, but it only takes so many wet diapers or a convenient snack to actually appreciate their presence in one’s life.

Still, one brisk walk later and we were in the building. A short sign-in and a walk through the metal detectors, and we were finally on the other side and waiting for the courtroom to be ready. Instantly, despite their notion of being more superior in this society here, I could quickly tell that Luna, Harriet, and Oppy were all very nervous. I wondered if I should be as well, but I had little time to think. The doors soon opened, and we all walked in as one united group.

Before us, in the front, stood the traditional court layout of multiple seats, followed by the bar, two mirrored desks, and then one long top piece flanked by a single enclosed box. The wood flooring and furniture went oddly well with the ornate red curtains and cold sleek marble columns behind it all, but there was no doubt… this was the courtroom where all would be decided today.

Then curiously, a blonde Big woman dressed well in a charcoal suit soon waved over to us. “Oh, there she is,” Harriet noted. “We got Stephanie to defend us today. Don’t worry. She’s one of the best.”

“Brian’s kid?” Oppy asked as she pushed forward while waiving to Stephanie now, a note of skepticism playing just a bit in the back of her tone.

“That’s the one” Harriet nodded. “As I said though, she graduated five years ago and is already on her way to becoming a judge one day.”

“Hmmm… Young, but if she’s anything like her father… I guess we shouldn’t worry…” Oppy said with a mixture of both relief, confidence, and still a little apprehension. I guessed quickly that it was likely because of her age, but I just hoped she was one of the young ones who would use her youth to her advantage rather than as a crutch.

“Stephanie!” Harriet called out before hugging the blonde Big woman in front of us now.

The two hugged for a moment and then Stephanie broke the hug first. “It’s so great to see you all. Despite everything, I think we have a real shot today considering the circumstances.”

“You do?” Oppy asked with a large note of hope laced in her voice.

“I do, but…” Horrifyingly, she then looked at me. “I’m told you aren’t regressed…” her eyes quickly flicked to my crotch and then to Stripe and I suddenly got very self-conscious.

“I’m not…” I said shyly. “I just…”

“They used interview 43C on him, Stephanie” Oppy defended me. “Jameson better not be here today...”

Stephanie chuckled a little. “Don’t worry. I think he’ll stay away from your family for the next six years at least after what you all did to him. Pretty hilarious if you ask me.” We all laughed a little but then Stephanie looked right back at me. “Okay… so not regressed, which means that I want you to sit up here with me… if you’re okay with that…”

I looked behind her at the two chairs already there. “I… I’m not sure,” I answered as honestly as I could. “What would I have to do?”

Stephanie looked a little pained. “Actually… and please don’t take this as that I think Littles are only cute little poop machines, but I just want you to sit there and look pretty today.”

Despite her reassurance, I still felt like I was more of a prop in all this if I was taking her meaning. “Just sit there? That’s all?”

“Yes… that’s all.” Again, her eyes looked pained, and I guessed that counted for something. She then sighed. “I know it’s not ideal, but the judges here are still a bit traditional unfortunately. A few should be on our side on general principle, but I need to paint them a picture. Their minds are mostly already made up I’m afraid to say, at least if my instincts are even close to being right. If they see you though… an unregressed Little supporting one of the defendants at least so publicly after your interview, they may question their stance on all this.”

“Don’t count on it, Steph,” a cold voice from our right sneered. We all looked up and saw a tidy yet stern-looking redhead stare right back at us. “Judge Grossman will be presiding over all this today… you know how she is with Littles and her rulings.”

Stephanie’s face became even more grave after that, but to my relief, she at least defended herself back. “Maybe, Taylor, but Hawthorne will be here as well from what I saw. Didn’t he fail you our first year on basic law and said, ‘I will never trust you in court if you even make it there?’”

Taylor gulped and glared back. She seemed like she was about to retort when the bailiff struck the floor to announce as the judges started to walk in. Silently, I nodded my head in agreement to stand up here with Stephanie in support of at least Samantha. Something told me that we would need all the help we could get from the judges walking in now.

The first, Cunnings, was an elderly lady whose blue eyes had seemed to fade with time, yet still shone out with their original intelligence and brilliance. Judge Franklin was next and was clearly the youngest, but also seemed like the most studious and observant of the bunch. Judge Grossman followed and I wasn’t sure what it was, but her blonde hair just seemed to magnify her eyes and put a chill down my spine. Fortunately, lastly was Judge Hawthorne who seemed the kindest and most reflective of the bunch. Curiously, I thought he even gave a little wave to Oppy who was seated behind me. I didn’t have time to see if she made any move back.

“Al rise!” the bailiff announced as the judges entered the chambers fully and then sat down. “Be seated.” Everyone quickly sat and Judge Grossman pulled up the microphone closest to her.

“Yes, thank you bailiff,” she began. “To everyone else, thank you all for coming to this important and critical trial of one Samantha and Chelsea Norris, both accused of stealing a Little, or Littles, for themselves, and breaking academy rules in their acquisition and handling. Now, we know there has been some rumors going on about that this trial is to determine their guilt or innocence.” I could quickly see that Stephanie’s face seemed to grow darker with each of the judge’s words.

“While this court will always abide by the justice system in place that we hold so dear,” she continued, “we also must inform this academy that we have already rendered a decision based on the evidence that has been presented to us…”

“However,” Judge Hawthorne quickly interjected, “we are not without mercy or understanding. Going to foreign worlds is dangerous and unpredictable as it is, and our hunters, recruiters, and cleaners often face challenges that go beyond the scope of the laws that we have created here. Considering recent and compelling testimony, we have granted this trial to check if there is any new evidence other than what was presented officially to us already.”

There was a continual murmur amongst the crowd that I could hear behind me after that, and I wondered just how often these sorts of ‘trials’ occurred here. I was no legal expert by any stretch of the imagination, but all this still felt very wrong. Of course, they could have a ‘not guilty’ verdict already, but that also felt very far-fetched to me with the way everything had been presented so far. As much as I liked with what I knew about Samantha at this point, I also knew by now that she, not even including Cheslea, had clearly broken the rules. Now, it just felt like a matter of degrees of how bad their guilt would be and if the crimes of one would affect the other. As much as I didn’t wish any ills onto Chelsea, I really hoped they would be tried separately.

“The defendants will now enter!” the bailiff announced. Soon, both Samantha and Chelsea walked in and took their place in a small thigh-high stand next to the judges.

Immediately, they seemed to paint a picture of how seriously, or not, they were taking all this. While Chelsea did look very fashionable, her jeans and nearly see-through shirt left much to be desired for a person defending themselves in this type of courtroom and with seemingly mostly conservative judges. Conversely though, Samantha was dressed more modestly in a single beautiful but simple blue dress. She seemed a little nervous however, so I quickly gave her a tiny wave of support. To my relief, she saw my little gesture and smiled and waved back to me.

Judge Grossman then gestured to the defense, and Taylor quickly stood back up. “Your honors, I would like to simply begin and end with the presentation of the interrogation colors.” A small gasp went up through the room. “I believe there will be enough evidence there to prove why the full extent of the law should be pursued here.”

Judge Cunnings then looked over at us. “Is there any objection to that, Miss Stephanie?” she asked, her intense eyes nearly burning a hole into her.

Stephanie briefly stood up and shook her head. “No, your honor. In fact, I was anticipating these colors being brought up.” She then paused and oddly looked at me before turning her attention back to the judges. “If it will please the court, I would like it entered into the record about these colors and where they were obtained.”

“Very astute and thorough,” Judge Franklin noted. “Proceed, Miss Taylor.”

Taylor begrudgingly nodded and used a remote clicker to bring up a single presentation screen to the side of the courtroom, which soon powered on. From the image that appeared, I immediately recognized the highchair-like device from my interrogation, the same that I assume was used on the others as well. I quickly felt a tingle of fear on the back of my neck and just prayed the lights would stay on.

“As you see,” Taylor began as she pointed to the screen, “the chair here is designed for large amounts of skin coverage. This allows both the restraint of an individual if required, but it also monitors the subject’s vitals and brain pattens.”

My eyes quickly widened, and I worried that despite me telling the truth, if my body had somehow betrayed me and would then sink the case in an instant. I looked over at Stephanie with worried eyes and she seemed to look back at me with her old look of reassurance and gestured for me to take a breath. While a few weeks ago, I may have seen it as a trap of some sort, now and to my relief, it just felt like a source of comfort once more.

“The data collected during each interview question is then collected and interpreted into the average of a single color,” Taylor continued. The screen quickly turned into a few different colors. “While rare, some subjects may display more than one color if the responses were too varied in emotional outputs. Upon receiving the data already however, this will not be the case today.”

Judge Hawthorne sighed and then waved at Taylor. “Proceed, Miss Taylor, but be warned… this is only evidence… not a spectacle at the movies.”

Taylor quickly nodded. “Yes, your honor.” She then proceeded to go through each of our results by first showing our image during the interrogation and the color the interview questions produced afterward. Luna showed as the color lavender and Ditzy showed up as aquamarine. Curiously, Derek showed a dark purple and many in the audience gasped. Distressingly, Taylor grinned widely as if she had won in a single stroke of genius. “Nothing further, your honors,” she finished.

Fortunately… I think… Stephanie quickly rose before the projection was turned off. “Your honors?” Each judge then turned directly to her. “I believe there was one more interview that day. I believe your honors should see it as well.”

“Very correct you are,” Judge Cunnings noted. “Continue, please, Miss Stephanie.”

Stephanie nodded and quickly looked relieved. “Thank you, your honor.” She then gestured toward the screen, and sure enough, my face appeared next. Embarrassingly though, my color was pink.

Now, ever since I had taken whatever Samantha had given me and I had come out the other side of the portal, I had noticed a few oddities. Fear of the dark even before my interrogation, a little emotional instability, a larger attachment to Stripe, and a few others all just seemed par for the course and overall, not very problematic in most cases. That being said, I found that occasionally, particularly in times of stress, I had much less of a filter… like today. “I’m not a girl!” I blurted out. My hands quickly clamped over my mouth.

Much to my chagrin, the whole courtroom burst into laughter. Even the judges were grinning or even chuckling over my comment, and in that moment, I could only pluck Stripe off the ground near my chair and hug him tightly until it was all over. Fortunately, Judge Hawthorne just held up his hand after a moment and smiled warmly to me. “It’s okay, Percy. We know you aren’t a girl. The colors just represent your emotional state, with the lighter colors being the ones to show a happier and more willing emotional state, understand?”

Despite my massive blushing, I quickly nodded. “Yes, sir.” At that moment, I then also realized why everyone had gasped over Derek’s color, dark purple. If lighter was better and happier… it made sense that it also meant that darker colors represented the complete opposite. While the judges seemed to deliberate for a moment amongst themselves, I then quickly turned back toward my friend. The ‘man’ was currently reading a picture book and was slowly being fed animal crackers by Oppy to keep him happy and distracted. Right then with the new evidence of his color, I wondered just how much of the old Derek was still in there and raging against all of this. I had little time to contemplate the notion though.

“If prosecution now rests,” Judge Grossman started back up, “does the defense have any further evidence it wishes to present today?”

Stephanie slowly rose. “Yes, your honor.” She then reached below the desk and pulled out four large manilla folders. “I would like to submit these for the record along with the breakdown of colors in defense of my client… clients,” she quickly corrected, blushing a little. I was starting to get the opinion that maybe Chelsea was already considered a lost cause… ‘But that would be crazy, right?’

“Very well,” Judge Franklin said. “Bring them up here so we may examine them.” Stephnie nodded and handed a folder to each judge. “Thank you… anything else?”

Stephanie withdrew back to our desk, and to my surprise, shook her head. “No, your honors. The defense rests at this time.”

“Understood,” Judge Grossman noted. All four judges then rose, and the courtroom soon followed. “We will adjourn and come back with the next steps or a final verdict. All our dismissed.” The judges then quickly filed out, and as soon as they were out of view, I could no longer hold back and spun around to the so-called ‘defense’ investigator next to me.

“What the heck was that?” I asked angrily to Stephanie, who was clearly taken aback by my sudden anger. “Where’s all the evidence? The long trial? Shouldn’t we be burying the prosecution? What gives?”

To my surprise, once her initial shock over my outburst had faded, Stephanie smiled. “You know… I’ve actually studied some of the law from your planet. I would understand why you would ask those things, but please understand, Percy… the judges already have evidence. When you all came in here at first, Samantha and Chelsea submitted their own records, along with a dozen or so cleaners, and two hunters that were observing them and everything that occurred back at the con. By the time you were even questioned, 95% of the evidence for the trial had already been processed and viewed by the judges.”

It felt so wrong to hear all that, but part of me felt that it also made sense as well. In a society with so much technology and observation of each other, it only felt natural that the court process could be sped up as a result. Still though, I kept getting a funny feeling about all of this. Turns out, my funny feeling was correct. Less than 10 minutes after the judges left, they returned.

“All rise!” the bailiff announced again. We all quickly stood, and I clung onto Stripe’s arm once more in nervous anticipation for what was to come.

The judges then each took their seat once more and then gestured for the courtroom to sit back down. Judge Grossman cleared her throat and spoke. “We the judges have rendered a verdict, but we are unsure of one aspect of this case.” She then folded her fingers together and took a deep breath. “Ever since the Height War ended, this society has prospered due to the unique relationship between a Big and a Little on the whole. This academy stands vigilant in finding other worlds to perpetuate this cycle beyond our own.”

She then oddly seemed to look at me for a moment, but then continued. “That being said, we acknowledge that there are sometimes limits to this magical bond and we in the academy are here to preserve that bond beyond the dimensions.”

She then disturbingly looked angrily over at Chelsea and Samantha still standing in their box beside the judges. “The actions you all had taken on Earth were violations of many of the rules of both worlds. Now, both worlds stand to suffer on a very personal level or even overall due to what you all did that was not part of your original plan or mission. We as judges cannot stand for this at the academy.” Her words seemed final, and I feared the worst, but her eyes seemed to wander around the courtroom and then creepily back on me for a brief moment.

“That being said,” she continued, “we as the judges must acknowledge the evidence before our eyes, but this is not always an easy task. Given the scope of all that happened, we call forth Percy Miter to stand before us tomorrow in chambers. Further evidence is needed, but no matter what, judgement of both sisters will be rendered afterward.”

Judge Grossman almost seemed to end it all right then, but Judge Hawthorne quickly spoke up before she did so. “That being said, we the judges also find that there is enough evidence to support that these actions were for personal gain and maybe even influence but perhaps a fulfilment of something stronger as well. Something that even we have now power over.” He then looked over to both Chelsea and Samantha and then over to our group. “In acknowledgement of this, we the judges will allow a brief period of time for you all to see each other today. Take the time to see each other before all is finished tomorrow.” He then stood up and banged his gavel. “Court dismissed!”

I could quickly tell that Judge Grossman was not a part of that plan, but Franklin, Hawthorne, and Cunnings all seemed pleased, particularly when Samantha personally thanked them from her position in the box still. It was a small gesture, but it seemed to speak volumes to those three judges at least.

Stephanie soon ushered us out and to a side room off from the courtroom. We waited for at least fifteen minutes, but finally the door opened, and both Chelsea and Samantha burst into the room. Two armed guards followed them in, but kindly did nothing when both sisters came up to us.

“Oh wow! Look at how cute you two are!” Chelsea gushed over Ditzy and Derek as she fully scanned them and then gave them a hug each. “Oh! I can’t wait to dress you all up in your little clothes when I get out of all this mess! We’re going to have so much fun together. Just wait and see! Parties! Balls! Pageants! Oh, the fun!”

Ditzy and Derek seemed to just be happy with seeing her again right then, but right before Samantha steadily walked up to me, I noticed an odd look on both Harriet’s and Oppy’s face. Before I could ask them what was wrong, I felt a large but gentle hand on my shoulder. I quickly spun around and was once more face-to-face with Samantha.

It seemed that the last month had not been kind to her, unlike Chelsea. She was still beautiful, but her skin was paler, and dark circles now hung under her eyes. She almost seemed to be a shadow of her former self. “Hey…”

“Hey,” I replied awkwardly, not really sure what to say. Still, her appearance concerned me. “Are you okay, Samantha?” Instantly, I could see a block of some kind with her in responding to my question. I wasn’t sure what to make of it, but I also felt like she was at least holding something back from me. “Please tell me… I want to know how you are…”

She still seemed hesitant, and I could still hear the joyous laughter and all the plans that Chelsea had made from nearby, but finally, Samantha spoke up. “I’ve had a lot of time to think… a lot of time…” She trailed off a bit and I quickly realized what the difference was between the two sisters since all of us had last seen them. Samantha had guilt… Chelsea had none.

“It’s okay… I understand why you did what you did…” I managed to make out after a minute of silence between us. I didn’t say that I had forgiven her yet for drugging me and taking me from my world, but I had since come to realize that she had made her decision with her heart and not her ego or own ambition. To her, she had found a struggling Little on Earth and she offered a new life for them. “I might need a little bit to get back to where we were… but I don’t want you to regret what you did to or for me in the end.”

Samantha seemed to struggle with that concept. “But I drugged you… I… took you from your family… friends…” she bemoaned. “What kind of person does that? How could I ever call myself a caregiver after having done that to you?”

I sighed and clasped her withdrawn hand. “Those are bad things… I can’t say that I forgive you for them, but you offered me a life here. Did you do that because you wanted an accessory to dress up and play with, or did you do that because you wanted me to be happy and you thought this was the best way that you could offer? If it’s the latter, which I suspect it is, isn’t that the mark of a true caregiver?”

I could instantly tell that my words were starting to have a profound impact on her. They were simple but true, and in that moment of her doubt and self-anguish, they also seemed to be exactly what she needed to hear.

Out of the corner of my eye, I could see that Oppy, Luna, and Harriet were all tense but still smiling in our direction, which gave me a little relief. To be honest, I had always been worried about the next time we would actually see each other, but Samantha’s vulnerability and guilt was something that I had not anticipated. It softened her image to me even more than I had done myself in the month since I had come here. We weren’t how we were at the convention, but I could feel the bond between us grow once more.

Getting out of my own thoughts, I then swore that I could see a few misty eyes with Samantha standing before me. She wasn’t bawling or anything, but I could also see the relief that my words had provided to her clearly tortured soul. Also, being the observer that I was, I noticed that her fingers were flexing a little. I could have shuffled it off and the day would have been over and no one the wiser, but I decided to take a leap of faith right then. “You know… it’s okay if you want to hug me… I wouldn’t mind…”

Samantha hesitated for maybe only a second, but then instantly broke right after and quickly wrapped me up in a large hug. There was no hesitation in her body anymore… no guilt, but just happy feelings now coming from her. I knew that she knew she had done wrong in her initial methods to get me here, but there was also now an understanding between us that her actions weren’t that of someone doing evil. Maybe morally gray, but her intentions at least seemed good though. Looking over briefly at Chelsea, I knew I really couldn’t say the same about her.

“Times up!” the guard then loudly announced.

Samantha then backed up and wiped her eyes quickly. Oppy smiled over at her daughter. “Hang in there, kiddo. All this is almost over. Just another day and we’ll know.”

Samantha cleared her throat while Chelsea had already begun to exit the room. She then looked at each of us with her large, now more hopeful eyes. “I just want to say… to all of you… thank you for taking care of everyone and for sticking with me… us through all this mess.” She turned to Harriet. “You were one of my best students and after all this, you’ve proven even more of how great an addition that you’ll make to the academy.” She then turned to Oppy. “Mom, if it wasn’t for you with the Littles and all this… I…”

Oppy held her hand up to stop her daughter. “Think nothing of it, dear. I’m your mom with all this, and besides, the Littles have been like little gifts, but I’m sure they’ll be happy to have you back… both of you.” I could hear the annoyance in her voice at the end, but I knew it wasn’t directed at Samantha, particularly when her look was then cast to her other daughter.

“Oh… yeah… thanks mom,” Chelsea hurriedly said while exiting the door. I could see that Oppy wasn’t impressed with her thanks, but she just quickly hugged her other daughter not wanting to dwell on it all, and then we all waved goodbye. Then, just like that, both sisters were gone once more. Now, we wouldn’t see them again until their sentencing tomorrow.

Samantha’s presence, despite the weight of her regret over what she had done to me, was still as warm as ever. As soon as she left, I could feel her absence more than I ever had before and I hugged Stripe to fill the void. Today, the trial had gone very differently than what I had originally imagined. Some of the judges seemed to be on our side, but once again, I felt like I was being thrown into the fire and back at the crux of this whole mess. A singular failure and all could be reduced to nothing once more with two figures being punished in ways that I didn’t even want to imagine. Still, for now though, all I could do was hunker down with my new family and wait for the coming interrogation tomorrow.

You have not mentioned what the outcomes of this trial might be, have you? I mean: what would happen in the case of an unmitigated guilty verdict?

First off, wow, I was correct about the purpose of the trail. I honestly don't think they'll get out of being punished, but I am hoping that Samantha doesn't have to serve jail time, or spend time being adopted. At the most maybe she'll get kind of a house arrest sort of deal, like she'll work, but live at home with her mother, maybe even be required to wear diapers or pull ups during that time and possibly a weekly trip to someplace for a weekly spanking and her mother is like her temporary legal guardian and has a strict rules on how to treat Samantha and Samantha has to follow strict rules which is overseen by someone that come by every so often to make sure they're going by the book. Chelsea on the other hand, just as I predicted, is not remorseful at all and being a bit of a brat to everyone. I hope they mentally regress her, maybe not completely, but enough that she needs diapers, maybe a toddler since she doesn't seem to have outgrown her terrible twos. I'm not sure I'd want it to be permanent, maybe 5 years and then reevaluate her to see if she deserves to grow up, even if it's just a little older.

Percy is handling it better then I would for sure, but I'm definitely not Percy lol.

I do wonder if Luna wet herself during her interrogation. As much as she wore diapers during the con I assume she eather wears pull ups or at least doesn't have the control every Big probably has.

I'm also very curious what they did to that investigator, sounds like he got a good spanking. But the comment on him not walking correctly might even imply that he'll need diapers for a while and they're referring to him waddling? I hope they run into him later and Percy can figure it out or hear what actually happened lol

I have not, so don't worry about missing anything. I really wanted everyone's imagination to fly on what the possible punishments could be for either of them. I've implied what it could be a few times, but I didn't want to give anything away until the last moment.
