Deny thyself...

Recommended Posts

Littles of Faith, I have a question to put before the group.

Jesus said that if anyone would come after him, they should deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow him.

While we might not like it, has anyone thought that maybe denying this part of ourselves is just part of our walk?

This is an issue I am truly struggling with and would like to consider voices from inside the community.

Yes as a follower of Christ we are to not put anything or anyone ahead of Him, however we are still human we have flaws and are not perfect

We again are to always put Jesus first in everything we do, do we always do that of course not but Christ desire is for us to follow Him over all things

Each of us have our own journey, and I understand that. Some here are able to reconcile their Littlespace with all or many aspects of their lives, and I admire that. If im honest, maybe even jealous of it. My own experience is the feeling that wanting and pursuing Littlespace puts me at odds with God's plan for me. And I feel that way because after praying for guidance and open doors, opportunities and gateways to the community, chances at expression are denied and closed off. I have no choice, in my understanding, to think that this is God's plan, that the lifestyle is not for me. But I still desire it, and ive even thought about what I would give up for it. One thought in my heart was/is that I'd give up my faith since it was causing my heartache in the first place.  Then I felt bad about that. But, understanding that we shouldn't have anything before God and im already wrong for wanting something more than my relationship with Him, could this be should this be something I must deny myself for the sake of glory, and what does it say about me that if it is, I'd rather be Little?

Am I obsessing too much? Am I venturing out too far? Am I creating a false idol incapable of what I want from it?

Many questions and what I can offer is pray for you.

I pray that God will give you peace over where you need it.

I also might suggest speaking with a pastor, maybe not someone you know but outside of your friends or family for godly counsel

If you think that God wants you to suffer and be miserable during your time here on Earth, then by all means deny yourself.  God doesnt have a problem with wearing diapers or having sex.  If you obsess about these things to the point that your life is a lonely and unmanagable wreck, that might be a problem.

I know for a fact that my attraction to diapers was an outlet given to me by God's representation.  I was abused by a pedophile father for years.  Diapers and adult baby compulsions brought me to my wife and thus my children and family.  Its a tool that God had developed in my brain to overcome trauma.  It has allowed me to fullfill his plan for me.

Do you think its God who wants you to obsess and struggle and feel deep pain? Or is there someone else out there that enjoys not just your ultimate death, but ruining your Earthly time with needless suffering?  There are two sides influencing us here.  We have freewill to follow the influence we desire.  God doesnt want you to suffer, but the Devil does.

I think the first thing to unpack is what does “denying yourself” mean.

To me, denying yourself means subordinating your desires to God’s desires. However, this does not mean God’s desires takes over all your life and time. God’s desires can be to let you exercise your desires. Remember God is, among many other things, also your Father - and he delights in your delight (provided its good for you of course).

However, if you feel that abdl is not right for you, dishonours God, and is “unclean”, then for you it is sin (Rom 14:14) and you should not do it. I would suggest though that you look into why you think it is unclean. Keep in mind that society and the environment mould the conscience and that the conscience is not a reliable standard. Im not saying you disregard the conscience, just that just because you think it is wrong doesnt mean God thinks it is wrong. Find out what God thinks through reading the Word and prayer, and let that guide your conscience on the right path.

Personally I find that every aspect of ABDL for me is a lot less unclean and a lot more chaste than adultery, prostitution, pornographic films, etc. Nothing in the Bible preaches against wearing and using diapers and the like, so I find that I'm able to perfectly reconcile the ABDL part of me and the Christian part of me. I'm currently writing a Diaper Dimension story and I'm including plenty of Christian content in it, no clashes whatsoever.

i could be wrong, but i think we need to stop and look at the time that he said it, yes a lot of what he says does apply to todays times, but what did they have at the time he gave that directive? did they have cars? phones, internet? could they hop on a plane and stop in, see the wives? nope, they had to give up their families and such for a while, knowing they had much greater work they were called to do, in harder times. today we do have all these convieniences, and in some cases one can work remotely, he had tasks for his disciples then, i believe he has disciples now, with tasks they are suited for today, whether they be doctors, nurses, lawyers, the local grocers that help others if they need it, we have more of a range of ways that we can serve Him, at least as i understand it. God will lead where he wants us, moves us where he wants us, to ask us to be his hands, just as the disciples where his hands back in ancient times.

I suppose the question is Why do you indulge in this? For some, they take an existing medical need (be it major or minor) and embrace it. For others it’s Purely sexual. abase off your biblical understanding, what do you think?

diapers dont keep us from serving Him
