I think these are called comforts training pants, and I got them because they were pretty cheap ($14.50 for a pack of 44 diapers), and surprisingly, they held almost as much as a goodnite.  Plus, the designs are pretty cool as well:

Btw they are kinda neat looking. Something I'd like to see in an adult pull up.

You took the words right out of my mouth rusty.   In other words I am way to old and big to fit in those so I can't say I have tried them big boy.

You could use a side extender to make it fit better.  Or just use it as a booster.

I could not get those over my thighs. I used to be able to use the XL goodnight but my thighs are monstrous and muscular.
