I do wear diapers to bed and I am semi asleep when I urinate in my diaper. I subconsciously turn on my back out of habit but only if I have a diaper on. If I fall asleep with out a diaper on my crotch gets really sweaty wet and soaks my clothes. besides I'm fecal incontinent and would wake up with poo in my diaper or my clothes.
