I wear a pair of my old undies with a soaker strip to make sure that the leaking fluid is evenly distributed throughout the Nappy (Tena Maxi slip) and then cover this with an old "Pull up" pant with the absorbant granules removed as this can stop small leaks, then finally cover all that with a pair of Plastic Pants, then I sleep on top of an adult absorbant mat that is 48 inches square and will soak up anything-it needs to, as these days I seem to get lots of leaks. :badmood:

Also have two spare bed mats waiting in the wings for when the washing goes into action !

I really do wear for fun. I only consciously wet and cannot wet when on my back. If I am going to nap or sleep in a diaper I start out dry. I do not like leaks. I do not use a plastic or rubber sheet either. They make the bed too hot especially in the summer.

I was just wondering if everyone used some kind of plastic sheet, or other arrangement, to protect their bed in case of a diaper leek. I think this might be one of the reasons I can't seem to go to bed with a wet diaper.

If you do use some type of bed protection, what type do you use?

Thanks for your answers ^^

PS - does anyone know if it's possible to edit the poll...my guess is that it's not, but it makes me feel moronic to use where, instead of wear. Shows me how important it is to do a quick proof, I guess...

wear diapers to bed

plastic cover on matteras and reusable heavy bed pads as diapers always leak as i sleep on my side

I have gone to bed in a wet diaper...didn't leak, being an Abena X, it was soggy when I woke up though..I don't have a bedpad, since I don't wear that much, or use them when I do... kinda wish I had the opportunity to do more though, but I don't have the privacy I used to have.

oh well

I've worn slightly wet diapers to bed, and ended up with super soaked diapers in the morning. I also use Abena X-plus, but I triple layer them. I strongly urge anyone that wears wet diapers to bed to use some type of barrier cream before doing so. Babies get changed every few hours or so by an adult, along with a diaper ointment. I find myself wearing that wet diaper all night long. I've found out that wearing a wet diaper to bed for 8 hours is not a good idea, unless you like diaper rash! I use a plastic bed cover with baby prints on it for protecting the bed. I get my plastic sheets from www.fetware.com.

My bed has plastic sheets. Very durable. My wife got them at a medical supply store. I no longer share a room with my wife. She does not participate except when it comes to ratting me out to her and my mothers. She bought the sheets to protect the bed and humiliate me.

I have a zippered plastic sheet on my bed. I put a washable mattress cover over the plastic sheet so I don't have to listen to the crinkling. That means more washing to do if I have a leak (which rarely happens), but with the mattress cover on top of the plastic sheet I can't feel the plastic sheet, so it's worth it.

i enjoy the sensation of peeing, and that flood of warmth, but i find that when i wear one to bed i wake up continuously throughout the night, straining myself trying to pee again and again. when i do wear to bed, i put down a bath towel or two, folded in half for thickness. i don't tend to move around on my mattress much while i sleep so if i do end up leaking, the towel beneath me absorbs whatever it is.

I always change into a nappy for bed, and I've got a waterproof cover to protect the matress in case my nappy leaks. It's sort of rubber/ plastic on the side next to the mattress and towelling on the top, so it's not sweaty and not crinkly

Sometimes I wear a wet diaper to bed, but I always have a plastic sheet and a mattress pad to ultimately protect my mattress. Those things aren't cheap and it's almost impossible to get any odors out of them if you've accidentally leaked onto it.

Where do you find plastic sheets from?

I used to have a full mattress vinyl cover that went over the mattress and closed with a zipper. Then put a regular bed sheet on top and I know I am protected no matter how bad the leak -- and diapers do leak when you let go into a diaper you wore the entire night no matter how good the diaper is (at least disposables do).

P.S. Walmart sells the covers for about $20 or so. Sadly the largest they have is a queen size - no king size available.

I wear a dry diaper to bed myself but have had accidents at night so i been using a plastic matress cover and a resuable bed pad just in case my diaper leaks <img src="http://www.dailydiapers.com/board/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Works great <img src="http://www.dailydiapers.com/board/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

the same for mi except for the resuable bed pad.

I answered yes to both questions but I don't usually wear a wet diaper to bed as I wet the bed anyway and need my diaper to start out dry to avoid leaks. I generally have my diaper on a few hours before going to bed and I sometimes have wet them a little but would not go to bed with a soaking wet diaper. I have always had "protection" on my bed throughout my life (part of being a bedwetter). My childhood bed had a rubber draw sheet. After moving out on my own, I had a water bed, so no protection required on it. Our bed now has one of those fancy waterproof mattress protectors on it.

When I go to bed, my diaper is dry and protected with a rubber pant but I pee during the night without feeling it. Therefore, my bed is fully protected by a sheet of medical rubber and a cover bag and pillow of the same material.

best greetings from Joerg

This is the rubber pant I wear over my diaper
