Wearing a size too big?

Hi, fellow DLs. Just wanted to see if anyone had experimented with sizes before.

I prefer large in both Bambino and Abena, when I'm looking for maximum protection and wear duration. I've found that they are less prone to leaking. I'm firmly inside of the Medium size category, but they just don't feel as secure. Since my wife does occasionally wear disposables, and she wears a large, it makes sense to buy that size.

I have bought a few size large/ size medium sample packs from Bambino from time to time. While I LOVE the rise I can never quite get the tapes to position the diaper in a way that avoids gapping. The medium fits me right, though if I had my way they'd rise 1-2" higher front and back.

I used to buy Attends in large (I'm a medium), and they were fun to wear. But that was back when you could get them at the grocery store.

I bought some Assurance large because they did not offer small/medium.

I have large Assurance now and I like the loose fit but I have to wear plastic pants with them to keep them up, which is okay because I love plastic pants.

I find medium works well for me but I will say some diapers run smaller and a larger size would be better. I noticed this is mostly with abdl diapers that run really small.
